Full textDevelopment of new silylium ions, intramolecularly stabilized by a Lewis base (phosphine or sulphide), are the subject of this work. The strength of the interactions with the Lewis base has been modulated in order to obtain a good balance between stability and reactivity. The catalytic activity of the more promising models has been studied in Diels-Alder reactions. In chapter 1, a bibliographic overview of the silylium ions synthesis afford a good understanding of the difficulties that can be encounter (solvent and counterion effects). The developed methods that allow the control of their Lewis acidity are presented, as well as their main applications in catalysis. In chapter 2, the synthesis of several silylium ions stabilized by a phosphine group is described. Two models have been developed to allow a good understanding of the interaction between the cationic silicon centre and the Lewis base. Silylium species have been characterized in solution by NMR spectroscopy and in the solid state by X-ray diffraction analysis. An unexpected reactivity was observed with carbonyl derivatives giving access to seven- to nine-membered heterocycles. The synthesis and reactivity of silylium ions stabilized by a sulphide moiety is presented in the third chapter. They are stable in solution, and were characterized in the solid state by X-ray diffraction analysis. Compared to the phosphine-stabilized silylium ions, the sulphide model is much more reactive, and especially is active for the hydrosilylation of carbonyl derivatives. In order to better understand the mechanism of the reaction, DFT calculations, were performed by the group of Pr. Muller. The last chapter is dedicated to silyliumylidenes that are cationic monocoordinated silylated species possessing one lone pair and two vacant orbitals. A short bibliography introduction summarizes the state of the art on the synthesis and reactivity of these species. The reactivity of the silyliumylidene prepared is presented, and particularly the oxidative addition of catecholborane and CO2 activation

Full textIn this work, we are interested in the numerical simulation of instationnary viscous flows of two immiscible fluids, separated by a mobile interface. In particular, flows without shock composed of a gas phase and a liquid phase are considered. In order to modelize such flows, an approach in which the gaz is described by compressible Navier-Stokes equations and the liquid by incompressible Navier-Stokes équations is proposed. The coupling between these two models is the originality and the stake of this thesis. To treat this important difficulty, a global (i.e. the same for each phase) and simple method is elaborated. In our procedure we propose, using the Navier-Stokes equations formulated in set of primitives unknowns (pressure, velocity and temperature), to elaborate a strategy that relies on the follow components: the stabilized finite element method to discretize spatially the Navier-Stokes equations; the Level Set method for tracking the interface precisely with a discontinuous Galerkin method to solve the associated transport equation; and some averaged quantities to treat the discontinuities at the interface. The good behaviour of this approach is performed on both one and two spatial dimensions

Full textThis research aims to assess the long-term release of inorganic pollutants leached from stabilised wastes by hydraulic binders in the environmental point of view. The research divides in three parts: (1) proposition of an assessment methodology of the long term behavior of pollutant species, (2) application and validation of the methodology to synthetic stabilised wastes, (3) application of the methodology to stabilized galvanic sludge and stabilized fly ash. The methodology includes leachning tests and a model of the long-term behavior prediction of pollutant contained in the wastes. The selected leaching tests permitting the identification of the necessary parameters for behavioral model have been done. The developed model is based on a diffusional model in the porous matrix coupled to chemical reactions of major species contained in the stabilized materials. The consistency between the experimental and simulated results proves that the model describes the physico – chemical mechanism of considered species release well. This approach leads to determine the long-term behavior of stabilized wastes in order to assess their impact on the environment
