It is a three-aisled hall with shape consists of intersection of ellipse and rectangle with dimensions 70 x 82m. The roof has cylindrical shape with approx. 50 m radius. The goal of the diploma thesis is to design and assess a steel structure of ice stadium in Česká Třebová. The ground plan dimensions of the load–bearing structure are 66 meters in width and 66 meters in length. The maximal height of the structure is 15 meters. The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of the roofing of an ice hockey stadium situated in Žďár nad Sázavou. Plan view dimensions are 55 m x 77 m. The structural height of the roof varies from 10 to 17 m. The roof itself consists of pipe truss girders with a span of 55 m, which are supported by columns on each side. The girders are suspended by a load-carrying arch with a span of 96 m and a camber of 29 m through a system of pre-stressed cables. To determine the internal forces, structural analysis software Scia Engineer was used. Individual elements were then manually designed.

The aim of this thesis is to create a design of a grandstand steel roof structure with ground plan dimensions of 15 x 116 m in Frýdek-Místek. The roof size must meet all the required dimensions, so that the comfort of sitting spectators is not disturbed. The transverse connection is FORMED by trusses, which are hinged on columns. In this master's thesis a steel structure of roofed stands of a sports stadium is developed. Inner forces and design of elements are solved with the program Scia Engineer. The computational model is designed as a three-dimensional bar structure. Main elements are also designed by hand for verification. Elements and joints are designed according to ČSN EN 1993. Anchorage of columns is designed as semi-stiff. Three variants differ in type of longitudinal bracing. The most convenient, a model with truss bracing, was worked out in detail.

The subject of this thesis is the conversion and alternative proposal to the existing steel structure roofing the winter stadium in Jindrichuv Hradec. The building has a rectangular plan with dimensions of 80 x 52 m. The roof structure consists of lattice trusses and purlins, plotted using lattice steel columns. The other possibilities are parabolic lattice trusses and purlin with fly bracing that were designed and evaluated in accordance with applicable standards. The solution using parabolic trusses is designed on the original footprint of the structure. The distance of each bond is 8 m.

The first idea of the concept was inspired by the impressions from the exhibition of Dutch photographer Hans van Meer. Common to all of his football photographs are sceneries of country-side or cities that serve as a background for amateur football matches. Football played in the open air just for the joy from the game and in the presence of astonishing scene appears almost poetic.
