The development of the paleosoils during the warm stages (thermochrons) of the Pliocene and Pleistocene, being reflected in the structure of soil-loess and red-brown formations of Ukraine, is characterized by a clear regularity. This is manifested in the formation of complex soil layered constructions (pedocomplexes) reflecting the chronological stages of pedogenesis. Agrochernozems of watershed plateu in the central part of Podillia, formed on the loess rocks of the Late Pleistocene age, also show this general regularity of Pliocene-Pleistocene soil formation. Abstract:
Recent studies suggest that many protoplanetary disks around pre-main sequence stars with inferred ages of 1-5 Myr (known as Class II protostars) may contain insufficient mass to form giant planets. This may be because by this stage much of the material in the disk has already grown into larger bodies, hiding the material from sight. If this is the case, then these older disks may not be an accurate representation of the initial mass budget in disks for forming planets. To test this hypothesis, I have observed a sample of protostars in the Taurus star forming regions identified as Class I in

This integration can occur via either non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) into the break or homologous recombination (HR) between the broken genomic DNA and the introduced vector. Aim 1: To determine levels of this second messenger in: a) B. melitensiscyclic-dimericguanosinemonophosphate-regulating mutants (BMEI1448, BMEI1453, and BMEI1520), and b) B. melitensis16M (wild type) and mutant infections of macrophages and immune competent mice. (US lab primary) Aim 2: To determine proteomic differences between Brucelladeletion mutants BMEI1453 (high cyclic-dimericguanosinemonophosphate, chronic persistent state) and BMEI1520 (low cyclicdimericguanosinemonophosphate, acute virulent state) compared to wild type B. melitensisto identify the role of this second messenger in esta

Original objectives: Anatomical study of storage root initiation and formation. Induction of storage root formation. Isolation and characterization of genes involved in storage root formation. During the normal course of storage root development. Following stress-induced storage root formation. Background:Sweetpotato is a high value vegetable crop in Israel and the U.S. and acreage is expanding in both countries and the research herein represents an important backstop to improving quality, consistency, and yield. This research has two broad objectives, both relating to sweetpotato storage root

Abstract:
The article deals with the problem of the use of electronic open journal systems in scientific and pedagogical research as well as the formation of ICT competence of researchers on the use of such systems. The concepts of electronic journal system (EJS) are considered. The most common kinds of electronic journal systems are revealed (proprietary, local (in-house), open and cloud journal systems). The criteria for accessing the effectiveness of the electronic open journal systems (EOJS) use in scientific and pedagogical research are described (normative, organizational and communication, effect
