Abstract:
The process of integration and globalization is closely related to the need for harmonization of accounting at international level. In this connection International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) have been developed, which are primarily designed for companies whose securities are traded on regulated markets of the European Union. However, as the importance of small and medium-sized entities has been recently on the increase, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) also issued after five years of effort in July 2009 the International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities (IFRS for SMEs). At present, there is no legislation for the application of this standard in the Czech Republic or any other state of the European Union. Each jurisdiction must determine whether to adopt IFRS for SMEs, to what extent and for which entities the standard is mandatory and for which it is not. Already in previous years the European Commission analyzed data from surveys on this new standard and discussed its advantages and disadvantages. To date, however, it has not taken a single decision on whether to adopt and incorporate the standard into the European accounting legislation. The question also remains what attitude towards IFRS for SMEs companies operating in the Czech Republic will take. That is why this paper analyzes the opinions of some Czech companies belonging to the group of SMEs on the potential adoption of this standard.

Abstract:
This work deals with the influence of selected heavy metals, copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc and cadmium on respiratory activity of microorganisms during the composting process. We focused on comparing the respiratory activity of microorganisms in the compost after composting process in the presence of different concentrations of above mentioned metals and the measured results were confronted with the valid Czech standard for industrial composts. The results show that the high inhibitory effect at low concentrations, about 1 mg/dm3, has cobalt, for which the limit concentration is no set by Czech standard. Other heavy metals exhibit an inhibitory effect at concentrations higher than maximum allowable concentration, which is set in Czech standard for compost class I and II, with regard to their application to agricultural land.

Abstract:
The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is one of the most common screening instruments for mild cognitive impairment. However, the standard MoCA is approximately two times longer to administer than the Mini-Mental State Examination. A total of 699 Czech and 175 American participants received the standard MoCA Czech and English versions and in the clinical part, a sample of 102 nondemented patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). We created a validated Czech short version (s-MoCA-CZ) from the original using item response theory. As expected, s-MoCA-CZ scores were highly correlated with the standard version (Pearson r = .94, p < .001). s-MoCA-CZ also had 80% classification accuracy in the differentiation of PD mild cognitive impairment from PD without impairment. The s-MoCA-CZ, a brief screening tool, is shorter to administer than the standard MoCA. It provides high-classification accuracy for PD mild cognitive impairment and is equivalent to that of the standard MoCA-CZ.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on regional differences between the regions of the Czech Republic. We will focus on observation of inequalities between indicators of living in different regions of the Czech Republic. The indicators are evaluated at NUTS 3 (regions), using multivariate statistical techniques - factor analysis and cluster analysis. We have identified the twelve indicators of living standards. Base data was reduced using factor analysis on the three emerging factors: 1) basic characteristics, 2) risk groups, 3) environmental variable. Cluster analysis was compiled groups of regions with similar characteristics. Cluster analysis of the breakdown of the county into three clusters based on selected indicators of living standards. They can be described as a group with higher average and lower standard of living. In the first cluster are only two regions (Liberec Region and Karlovy Vary), the third cluster is composed of Prague and the second cluster includes all other regions of the Czech Republic. To verify the evidence of differences between clusters were calculated by multivariate analysis of variance for the various indicators of living standards. An analysis of variance indicates that significant differences between clusters are caused by the standard of living indicators: GDP (regional), the average wage of women, medical equipment, culture entertainment and recreation, higher education, the disabled handicapped and older people. The data were processed in the program STATISTICA 10th.

Abstract:
Abstract Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept is focused on understanding and managing the impacts a company has on the world around it and doing so as a part of core business activities. The common practice of most organizations is to implement a quality management system (mostly according to ISO 9001), and then implement other management systems. Companies in the Czech Republic have the possibility of certification of CSR via the Czech standard CSN 01 0391: 2013 which corresponds to the structure and requirements of other ISO standards. The article analyses common elements of both standards. The output is a proposal of the process of parallel implementation of these two management systems into a newly established organization.

Abstract This paper deals with the evaluation of selected available indicators of living standards, divided into three groups, namely economic, environmental, and social. We have selected six countries of the European Union for analysis: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, France, and Great Britain. The aim of this paper is to evaluate indicators measuring living standards and suggest the most important factors which should be included in the final measurement. We have tried to determine what factors influence each indicator and what factors affect living standards. We have chosen regression analysis as our main method. From the study of factors, we can deduce their impact on living standards, and thus the value of indicators of living standards. Indicators with a high degree of reliability include the following factors: size and density of population, health care and spending on education. Emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere also have a certain lower degree of reliability.

Abstract:
The modern unification of the European standards EUROCODE requires securing a constant quality of metallurgical production in the EU countries. In this paper, experimentally found statistical characteristics of yield stress, ultimate tensile strength and ductility of Czech and Austrian steel are presented. In the probabilistic reliability analysis, the experimentally found yield stress histograms of structural steel S235 of both Czech and Austrian manufacturing processes are considered as basic parameters. The reliability of steel members designed according to EUROCODE 3 is investigated. The objective of the studies is the verification of partial safety factors of load-carrying capacity, and of load action given in the standard EN1990. Differences in failure probabilities of steel members of Czech and Austrian production are studied in connection with the influence of model fuzzy uncertainties in the determination of load action and load-carrying capacity values.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper aims at giving a retrospective view of the presence of Czech in Slovakia through prism of the concepts language situation, communication situations and standardness. Within the conditions of the feudal heterogeneity of the Hungarian Monarchy and without any distinct cultural and political centre of the Slovaks, in a situation of considerable dialectal variety, the Czech language fulfilled the role of a comprehensible and within the whole society (among educated Slovaks) valid and relatively unified written form of the “local language” (lingua vernacula). In the 14th and the 15th centuries this Czech got only relatively little Slovakized. During the 16th and the 17th centuries two mutually overlapping tendencies of the development of the written language of the Slovaks were being formed: 1. Slovakized Czech, or a Slovak-version Czech, and 2. Regional Variants of Cultural Slovak. Both tendencies found their place in the Catholic as well as in the Protestant environment. In the 2nd half of the 18th century, with continuation into the beginnings of the 19th century, two directions that started to be formed already in the previous period, became crystalized: 1. Under the influence of the progressing re-Catholicization, the Slovakized Czech of the Protestants undertook the direction from diglossia towards “pure” Czech (at least in the sense of an intention), and the Protestant circles unequivocally accepted it as their standard language, sometimes denoting it as reč československá (Czechoslovak language) or českoslovenčina (the Czechoslovak); 2. In the Catholic environment, the cultural Western Slovak of the southern type and called bernolákovčina (Bernolák‘s Slovak) was codified, with the status of an autonomous standard language – a development away form diglossia towards Slovak. It was a period of two standard languages to which Štúr’s codification of Slovak put an end. His codification was based on the northern Central Slovak dialects, and after its modification in the so called opravená slovenčina (“corrected Slovak”) it was accepted by the representatives of both confessions.

Starting to apply pro-quality solutions in an organization, in particular the ISO 9001 standard implementation, is up to the decision making body. The analyses also show that the ISO 9001 standard meets the requirements of decision-making body. This trend is positive and continues to increase. Therefore, it is likely to forecast that the implementation dynamics will still be increasing in the near future.

AbstractThis paper presents the calculations of the summer thermal stability of a critical room of the given building. In this case, the critical room of the building is an attic room. Using two different software (SIMULACE and DesignBuilder), the summer thermal stability of the attic room was evaluated according to the Czech standard ČSN 73 0540-2 [1]. This standard compares the calculated and required value of the maximum internal temperature in the summer period. The results from both software were compared with the Czech standard and also with each other. The resulting temperature courses in the interior differ by a few Celsius degrees. In conclusion, the causes of different results are discussed as well as the advantages and disadvantages of both software.

Abstract This paper aims to relate two linguistic phenomena: neology (along with sources for its study) and collaborative lexicography. A pair of case studies is presented concerning two thematically defined groups of recent Czech neologisms: those abusing the Czech ex-president V. Havel’s name and those reflecting the Covid-19 pandemic. An initial dataset was provided by the user-generated content web dictionary of non-standard Czech Čeština 2.0 and the Neomat neology database, fostered by professional linguists. The objective data from a monitor corpus of Czech is used in contrast with the initial dataset and thereby leads to some open questions, especially with regards to the extent to which amateur and professional, two branches of lexicography, can inspire and enrich each other.

Abstract Budget transparency innovations bring new extent and forms of transparency. The aim of the article is to explore the diffusion of budget explorers, that is, a budget transparency innovation extremely popular in the Czech Republic, and to evaluate their impact on voluntary budget information disclosed. Careful mapping of the diffusion using a survey of budget explores in 72 former Czech district towns and media analysis shows that the key success factor was its convenience for politicians, as it is attractive, easy to implement and up-to-date demonstration of their transparency. Budget explorers are nowadays a standard extension to accounting software, and their usage is evaluated in several government transparency competitions. The major benefit of the budget explorers is that they made for the first time publicly available detailed public financial information, changed the standard of best practice and drew some public attention. At the same time, they, unfortunately, narrowed the scope of the budget transparency debate by omitting the importance of the draft budget and introduction of performance measurement.

Abstract:
Design discharges in a small experimental catchment in Žarošice (Czech Republic) were evaluated using various methods for peak discharge assessment applying 24-h storm rainfalls reduced to short duration. Rainfall-runoff models HEC-HMS based on standard Natural Resources Conservation Service hydrologic methods and KINFIL, which combines the Morel-Seytoux infiltration and kinematic wave direct runoff transformation, were used to compute runoff hydrographs. The approach of technical standard and Froehlich’s method determined the peak discharges only. The aim of this study was to assess the ability of these methods to predict design peak discharge in comparison with the data obtained from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI), which is the authority for providing hydrological data in the Czech Republic. The results demonstrate that the peak discharges computed by Froehlich’s method are mostly closest to the data provided by CHMI. For the 100-year flood, HEC-HMS based on the Curve Number method showed the best agreement.

Abstract:
In this paper we discuss a multilingual interactional event that involves both interpreting and literacy work, part of a large scale study on translanguaging in superdiverse urban settings.1 In the first part of the interaction, the center/periphery dynamic is played out in what might be called “contested translanguaging” between Standard Czech and a Slovak influenced dialect of Czech, in the second part in contested translanguaging between Standard Czech and English. The center/periphery dynamic, we argue can be understood in terms of attraction/repulsion. The translanguaging involves a struggle over both meaning and form in which some participants lose out. The second part of the interaction is a dramatic reverse in what is treated as central and dominant in the first part, suggesting a hierarchical ordering of interactional regimes. We will argue for the necessity of taking into account these hierarchically ordered interactional regimes and the linguistic ideologies associated with them in the shaping of translanguaging practices.

Abstract:
The prescription and administration of drugs are the most common process that takes place in hospitals. Although a relatively simple process, it is considered the riskiest process in hospitals because mistakes during drug administration are among the most common ones. The aim is to introduce technological and process changes that will contribute to maximally increase the safety of the medication process and the efficiency of drug management. To support the automation of the medication process, it is desirable to use the international standard Health Level 7 (HL7). However, the Czech healthcare system currently supports the local healthcare standard—DASTA. For that reason, the paper introduces some of the options how to transfer data from DASTA to HL7 and deals with the development of a software (SW) interface that converts data necessary for robotic preparation of patient medication from the Czech DASTA data standard to the HL7 international standard used by selected robotics. Based on the performed analyses, a combination of robotics for the preparation of single-dose packages of drugs with one of the automated warehouses is recommended.

However, individual approaches can serve as examples for countries undergoing the process of developing new methodologies, either for legislative purposes or to improve environmental standards on watercourses. This is exactly the situation in the Czech Republic which, has been working on the Regulation of the Government of the Czech Republic for ten years, since the amendment to the Water Act in 2010, defines the methods and criteria for determining the MRF on watercourses. T.G. Masaryk Water Research Institute, p.r.i., was commissioned to develop a new methodology to serve as the basis for the wording of aforementioned regulation. The new methodological approach took into account modern trends concerning the preservation of ecological standards, and used standard hydrological characteristics for its calculations. The newly proposed approach is undergoing a complicated approval process as the authors seek to increase the MRF compared to the current approach. The new approach assumes an MRF setting between Q97 and Q90. It defines four areas within the Czech Republic, by their hydrological and hydrogeological conditions, where the MRF is determined in different ways. This article describes the development of a new methodological approach, including the use the available Czech Hydrometeorological Institute data sets, the proposed regional division for MRF calculations, the determination the MRF below reservoirs, and the current state of the issue.

Abstract:
In the Czech Republic, excises and thus also cigarette excise were put into effect by a tax reform in 1993. In comparison with the standard taxation of other tobacco products by a specific tax the cigarette taxation is atypical. Through the combination of a specific tax and an ad valorem tax a combined excise was imposed on cigarettes. Over the years, many changes occurred in the cigarette excise in the Czech Republic. This paper provides the calculation of an average price of cigarettes both weighted and unweighted, which is adjusted for amounts of all taxes imposed on cigarettes in the Czech Republic in 2001 to 2009 or in 2004 to 2008. On the basis of identified values an economic interpretation was carried out with regard to other possible factors affecting selling prices of cigarettes in the Czech Republic.

Abstract:
This study is focused on testing progenies of common and narrow-leaved ash based on the measurement of provenance trial plots established in various forest regions under different site conditions within the Czech Republic in the spring of 1999. Height and diameter growth of 35 provenances was measured and evaluated at the stand age of 10–14 years. The main goal of this research is to analyse and compare differences in growth between progenies originating from alluvial versus scree habitats as well as between the two evaluated ash species. Moreover, the influence of localities on growth was tested using standard provenances planted on all plots. The results of the last measurement were compared with those from the first survey in 2000 at the age of 4–5 years (1 year after planting). With the exception of DBH on the Koněprusy plot, statistically significant differences in height and diameter growth between provenances were verified. The results confirmed a very strong site influence on growth. The main conclusions indicate significant differences in growth parameters between provenances, faster growth of alluvial versus scree provenances on most lowland plots, and generally faster growth of narrow-leaved ash as compared to common ash.

Abstract:
Globalization of the capital markets increasingly leads the investors to understand the fundamentals and technicals of asset cross-correlations and the global asset allocation seems to be an important task. The paper measures product momentum correlations between the four leading global benchmarks Standard & Poor’s stock index, Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB index, 30-Year U.S. Treasury Bond Price index and Dollar Index and between these indices and the Czech stock PX index. Empirical results illustrate that statistically significant correlations between U.S. indices existed over some past period at the 95.0% confidence level. In addition, the significant relation between indices Standard & Poor’s stock index, Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB index and the Czech stock market PX during the past fifteen years has been detected. These conclusions were reached from an analysis of monthly data in the United States and the Czech Republic, from January 1999 to April 2014. The empirical results offer beneficial applications not only for investors to diversify their risk but also for policy-makers to allocate resources more efficiently.

Abstract:
Abstract Voucher privatisation that proceeded in the Czech Republic in the 1990s was a realisation of a unique experiment which resulted in the transfer of almost half of state-owned enterprises to private hands within two years. A substantial part of these private hands was represented by intermediaries – the investment privatisation funds (IPFs). Their presence in the privatisation is often criticised as the cause of the extensive tunnelling. The aim of the paper is to find out how these funds performed after the privatisation. Using the standard Capital Asset Pricing Model, with OLS parameter estimations, I conclude that the so-called tunnelling was not as extensive, and that the privatisation funds were not as harmful for the privatisation as is believed.

Abstract:
Most research studying neg-raising focuses on English. Two notable exceptions are Bošković & Gajewski (2009) and Dočekal (2014) who discuss neg-raising in Slavic. In contrast to Bošković & Gajewski (2009), Dočekal (2014) argues that predicates of intention and obligation pass standard tests for neg-raisers in Czech. This article discusses new experimental data that provide additional evidence for the existence of negraising in Slavic languages, in particular, in Czech. The experiment that is conducted to test neg-raising predicates consists of an acceptability judgment task and an inference task. Sixty native speakers of Czech participated in the study. The results of the experiment are interpreted in Romoli’s scalar theory of neg-raising (Romoli 2012, 2013). We claim that neg-raising exists in Czech, and argue that strict negative polarity items are more acceptable under neg-raising predicates than under non-neg-raising predicates.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to establish floating cephalometric norms for the description of the individual skeletal pattern in Czech adults. Floating norms provide a method of analysis that uses the variability of the associations among suitable cephalometric measures, on the basis of the regression model combining both sagittal and vertical skeletal parameters. Harmony box is a simple and useful tool for diagnostics of orthodontic anomalies according to individual cephalometric norms. 118 subjects, 53 male and 65 female, from Czech population were selected. The method of multiple regression analysis was used to determine interdependence among five cephalometric variables of the sample. Linear regression equations with corresponding r2 and standard error of the estimate (SE) were then illustrated as the harmony box. The results construct a harmony box based on correlated cephalometric variables. The multiple regression analysis of the data is graphically illustrated as a harmony schema which divides harmony box in three zones according to the type of the face – prognathic, orthognathic and retrognathic. The cephalometric floating norms describing the individual craniofacial pattern among Czech adults were established based on five correlated variables in the form of a harmony box.

Abstract:
Abstract. The objective was the estimation of animal × environment interaction for weaning weight (WWT) of the most frequent breeds of beef cattle in the Czech Republic. The environment was represented by 3 areas: Mountain (1), Foothills (2) and Lowland (3). A pairwise analysis was carried out between the areas: 1 vs 2 (n=5 149) and 2 vs 3 (n=4 971) for the estimation of (co)variance components and genetic correlations between the environments. A multiple-trait animal model was used where weaning weights in different areas were considered as different traits. The direct and maternal heritability estimates of WWT were for area (1): 0.12 (direct) and 0.05 (maternal); for (2): 0.26 and 0.11 (direct), 0.10 and 0.11 (maternal) and for (3): 0.26 (direct) 0.03 (maternal). Direct and maternal genetic correlations were between: 1 and 2 0.98 and 0.65 respectively, with standard deviations 0.03 and 0.37 respectively, and between 2 and 3: 0.82 and 0.50 respectively, with standard deviations 0.12 and 0.31 respectivly. The magnitude of the across-areas genetic correlation indicates that the animal by environment interaction was not biologically important and can be ignored in the evaluation of beef cattle in the Czech Republic.

Abstract:
General principles on probabilistic approach to structural verification with respect to durability are provided in the international standard ISO 13823 which is currently being implemented into the system of Czech standards. The operational use of the new procedures in practice would require specification of probabilistic durability criteria, physical models of material deteriorations, and theoretical models of basic variables. It appears that the probabilistic methods of optimisation may provide valuable background information facilitating determination of appropriate criteria for durability.

Abstract:
The proportion of variance for service sire effect was estimated for three litter size traits (numbers of piglets born, born alive, and weaned) in Czech Large White (89 231 litters) and Czech Landrace (28 320 litters) pigs. Each trait in the first parity was considered as one trait and that trait in the second and subsequent parities was treated as a repeated trait. Consequently, three two-trait animal models were evaluated for each litter size trait: (i) the service sire effect was included and the complete relationship matrix for all the animals (service sires and sows) was taken into account; (ii) the service sire effect was included as a random effect without inclusion of the relationship matrix; (iii) the service sire effect was omitted from the model. Using the residual variance as a criterion, both models including the service sire effect were slightly better than the model without this effect. Estimates of genetic parameters were very similar for the two models including the service sire effect. The proportion of variance for service sire was in the range from 2 to 3% (standard error approx. 0.2%) in Czech Large White and 2% (standard error approx. 0.3%) in Czech Landrace for all three litter size traits and all models. Models without service sire effect or models including service sire as a simple random effect and without inclusion of the genetic relationship matrix are recommended for genetic evaluation of litter size traits.

Abstract:
This contribution describes eight variants of the distribution of the direct payments and their impact on the farm economies in the years 2004–2006. For this purpose, selective set of 152 farms was divided in accordance with production regions: maize-growing, beet-growing, potato-growing, potato and oats-growing and uplands1. Possible demands for standard direct payments depending on the farm situation in 2002 and demands for payments set by different variants of the simplified system of direct payment distribution were figured to each of observed farms. To be comparable, individual bonuses were converted per 1 hectare of the farmland and to be considered more objectively, the eventual subsidies in terms of HRDP were calculated to the farms. In conclusion, all mentioned variants were compared from the point of view of their impact on the farm economies in different production and climatic regions.

Abstract:
Abstract Introduction Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a heterogeneous disease with a strong need for robust markers for prognosis. Frequently occurring chromosomal abnormalities, such as t(4;14), gain(1q), and del(17p) etc. have some prognostic power, but lack robustness across different cohorts. Alternatively, gene expression profiling (GEP) studies have developed specific high risk signatures such as the SKY92 (EMC92, Kuiper et al. Leukemia 2012), which has shown to be a robust prognostic factor across five different clinical datasets. Moreover, studies comparing prognostic markers have indicated that the SKY92 signature outperforms all other markers for identifying high risk patients, both in single and multivariate analyses. Similarly, when assessing the prognostic value of combinations of various prognostic markers, the SKY92 combined with ISS was the top performer, and also enables detection of a low risk group (Kuiper et al. ASH 2014). Here, we present a further validation of the low and high risk groups identified by the SKY92 signature in combination with ISS on two additional cohorts of patients with diverse treatment backgrounds, containing newly diagnosed, previously treated, and relapsed/refractory MM patients. Materials and Methods The SKY92 signature was applied to two independent datasets. Firstly, the dataset from the Total Therapy 6 (TT6) trial, which is a phase 2 trial for symptomatic MM patients who have received 1 or more prior lines of treatment. The TT6 treatment regime consists of VTD-PACE induction, double transplant with Melphalan + VRD-PACE, followed by alternating VRD/VMD maintenance. Affymetrix HG-U133 Plus 2.0 chips were performed at baseline for n=55 patients, and OS was made available previously (Gene Expression Omnibus identifier: GSE57317). However, ISS was not available for this dataset. Secondly, a dataset of patients enrolled at two hospitals in the Czech Republic, and one in Slovakia (Kryukov et al. Leuk&Lymph 2013). Patients of all ages, and from first line up to seventh line of treatment were included (treatments incl Bort, Len, Dex). For n=73 patients Affymetrix Human Gene ST 1.0 array, OS (n=66), and ISS (n=58) was made available previously (ArrayExpress accession number: E-MTAB-1038). Both datasets were processed from .CEL files by MAS5 (TT6), and RMA (Czech), followed by mean variance normalization per probeset across the patients. The SKY92 was applied as previously described (Kuiper et al. Leukemia 2012), and identifies a High Risk and Standard Risk group. In conjunction with ISS, the SKY92 Standard Risk group is then further stratified into low and intermediate risk groups (Kuiper et al. ASH 2014). Kaplan-Meier plots were created, and the Cox proportional hazards model was used to calculate Hazard Ratios (HR), and associated 1-sided p-values that assess whether the SKY92 High Risk group has worse survival than SKY92 Standard Risk group (i.e. HR>1). Results Figure 1 shows the Kaplan Meier plots of the SKY92 High Risk and Standard Risk groups on the TT6 and Czech cohorts. On the TT6 dataset, the SKY92 signature identifies 11 out of 55 patients (20%) as High Risk. In both datasets, the SKY92 High Risk group has significantly worse overall survival, HR=10.3, p=7.4 * 10-6 (TT6), and HR=2.6, p=2.2 * 10-2 (Czech). In addition, the combination of SKY92 with ISS on the Czech dataset identifies a low risk group of 14 out of 61 patients (23%), with a five year overall survival estimate of 100% versus 28.7% in the SKY92 High Risk group (HR=inf). Robustness of the SKY92 signature is further demonstrated by the fact that it validates on both datasets, despite different microarray platforms being used. Conclusions The SKY92 high risk signature has been successfully validated on two independent datasets generated using different microarray platforms. In addition, on the Czech data, the low risk group (SKY92 Standard Risk combined with ISS 1) has been successfully validated. Together, this signifies the robust nature of the SKY92 signature for high and low risk prediction, across treatments, and with applicability in newly diagnosed, treated, and relapsed/refractory MM patients. Figure 1. Kaplan-Meier plots showing a significantly poorer overall survival in patients identified as SKY92 High Risk (red curves), relative to SKY92 Standard Risk, on both the TT6 (left), and Czech (middle) datasets, as well as a low risk group by SKY92 & ISS1 on the Czech dataset (green curve, right). Abstract:
General conditions and requirements for an internal standard useful in the determination of chemical warfare agents (CWAs) by the method of gas chromatography coupled with mass detection (GC/MS) were defined. The determination is based on a GC/MS analysis of a mixture of a CWA with an internal standard, conversion of the TIC chromatogram to a chromatogram extracted at a particular m/z ratio, and calculation of the CWA concentration from the internal standard concentration, response factor, and chromatographic peak areas. Available internal standards were identified, and they were verified for seven organophosphorus nerve-paralysing agents. Corresponding response factors were determined as a ratio of gradients of the linear functions of the peak area and compound concentration. Linearity, repeatability, and accuracy of the measurements were evaluated. The determination can be performed on all GC/MS systems of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (FRS), where no CWA standards are available.

Abstract This paper deals with the comparison of two versions of the DSGE model, supplemented with labour market frictions, based on different data used. One of the data sets has been pre-filtered with the HP filter (lambda set to 1) to get rid of any noise and the other with the original data series with measurement errors allowed. I compare the models with the following tools: parameters estimation, impulse response analysis, standard deviation and cross-correlations and recursive forecast. I also present the historical shock decomposition of the labour market variables to provide the explanation of the development in the Czech labour market, which is considered the most efficient labour market in Europe of the last couple of years with the lowest unemployment rate.
