Abstract:

Internal standard response is routinely monitored in regulated studies to accept or reject individual samples with outlier results due to potential sample processing or instrumentation errors, and processes are typically governed by standard operating procedures. However, acceptance or rejection of individual samples is not always sufficient. Internal standard response trends and substantial systemic differences between spiked and incurred samples using a method with an otherwise stable internal standard response should be investigated. Investigations may range from informal evaluations to detailed studies with formal investigation reports. Atypical internal standard response can be an indicator of systemic problems with a bioanalytical method and modification to allow for a relatively stable internal standard response across an analytical run may be essential.

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the application of standard operating procedures for patient care in the emergency room of dr. MM. Dunda Limboto, Gorontalo District. The research method used is a qualitative research approach with descriptive research type. The results showed that the Application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Patient Services in the IGD RSUD dr. MM. In general, Dunda Limboto Gorontalo District has not been implemented optimally. This can be seen from the 7 SOP indicators, only 4 have been implemented properly. As for the results of the research on these indicators are: 1) the procedure for registering patients in the ER has not been running optimally, 2) the procedure for receiving patients in the patient reception room has not been optimally carried out, 3) The doctor prepares for the examination including: Patient preparation , tools, washing hands and wearing PPE, the results of the study found that this procedure was carried out well, 4) The doctor carried out the examination including: history taking, physical examination and checking the patient's vital signs, supporting examinations, had not been carried out properly, 5) The doctor determined the diagnosis meanwhile, it has been carried out properly, 6) The doctor determines the treatment and medical action on the patient, this procedure has been carried out in accordance with the SOP, and 7) The doctor observes and evaluates the results of treatment or action, this procedure has been carried out in accordance with the existing SOP.

Abstract:

Due to lack of scientific evidence, guidelines cannot be formulated. Hence this protocol would serve as STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP) for performing neurosurgical procedures on COVID-19 suspect, probable or positive cases. This SOP is based on recommendations from various societies and experiences of the hospitals involved in care of patients with COVID-19. As the status of COVID-19 in Nepal change along with refinement in knowledge of the disease and its management, SOP would be updated. Objective is to “Serve with caution”. Nepal is presently in phase 2 of Global COVID-19 p The doubling time for active infections is shortening over the last two weeks (Figure 1). The healthcare facilities have to gear up and prepare to face the worst with the most efficient use of available resources. Neurosurgical emergencies may arise in COVID-19 patients (suspect or probable or positive) who are being managed in isolated wards or ICU. Such patients cannot be operated in routine operating rooms nor kept in routine ICU, as they pose threat of transmission of infection to other patients and health care workers (HCW). COVID-19 patients undergoing aerosol generating procedures (AGPs) pose higher risk of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Special isolation precautions should be adopted by all health care workers (HCW) with specific protocols to stay safe as well as manage the case efficiently.

Abstract The digitally simulated UHVDC system provides an all-round, full-process, and full-scenario high-fidelity training and teaching platform for the switching operation of the UHVDC system, which can fully meet the training requirements of the operation and maintenance personnel of the converter station. In order to solve the problem of inaccurate evaluation due to the existence of multiple operation procedures for an operation target, an improved digital simulation system based on multiple adaptive evaluation algorithms was designed: the teacher uses a modular combination method to generate a standard operating procedure as the main line, and then uses the trainee’s simulated operating procedure as a supplement to jointly form a standard answer to adapt to the different operating procedures of the same operating task for the trainees. Based on this system, it can solve the problem of inaccurate evaluation caused by millions of answers in the simulation operation evaluation process. It provides fast, efficient and accurate evaluation results for the digital simulated UHVDC system switching operation procedure.

In analyzing the problems in handling Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) especially for export documents, the author uses a tree analysis consisting of problem tree, target tree, and alternative tree. The first analysis is done in the process of handling export documents. After that, analysis on the root of problem in handling export documents by using questionnaires—it successfully identifies four problems: lack of human resources, poor communication among the employees in handling export documents, computer network system which is in problem, and slow response from the customer to confirm the export documents. Subsequently, analysis on the solutions or alternative actions for those problems in handling export documents.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui suatu proses produksi yang berupa data deskriptif atau pernyataan-pernyataan dari informan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara yang ditujukan untuk dua narasumber, yaitu pakar SOP dan pakar pengolahan susu. Abstract:

Implementation of Referral System is one of the instruments to measure the quality of health services to the public. Satisfaction feeling of services quality presently still less in public, especially in making external referrals. The aimed of this research was to determine the implementation of the external referral system for patients in Matarampublic health center. The design used in this research was descriptive design. The samplesused in this researchwere 76 people, they were takenby purposive sampling technique. The research instrumentsin this research used an observation sheet and a questionnaire. Implementation of the external referral system based on Standard Operating Procedure with 72 (94.7%) respondents and the implementation of the external referral system out of Standard Operating Procedure with 4 (5.3%) respondents. The external referral system in clinical procedures shows that the implementation of the external referral system based on Standard Operating Procedure were 65 (85.5%) and the implementation of the external referral system out of Standard Operating Procedure were 11 (14.5%) respondents. The administrative procedure shows that the implementation of the patient's external referral system based on Standard Operating Procedure were 37 (48.7%) and the implementation of the external patient referral system out of Standard Operating Procedure. It is expected that the quality of health services will improve using the standard operating procedures that have been established

Abstract:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the crime rate, especially against the human body, has increased. For the sake of law enforcement, one of the services needed to obtain evidence is medicolegal services (visum et repertum). This study uses a qualitative approach, type of research is descriptive, namely research that describes information data based on facts obtained in the field. This study was conducted at the Bhayangkara Raden Said Sukanto Hospital, Jakarta. This study indicates that medicolegal service procedures have changed during the pandemic to adapt to the implementation of health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The procedure emphasizes arrangements related to the implementation of services with strict health protocol standards from both doctors and patients to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The application of medicolegal services (visum et repertum) from the aspect of service procedures during the pandemic changed procedure. Service procedures continue to follow the procedures before the pandemic through Standard Operating Procedures Number B/46-52/V-VIII/2017/VISUM regarding Standard Operating Procedures, but during the current pandemic, service procedures adjust to the implementation of health protocols to prevent transmission of covid-19 during the pandemic with the issuance of Standard Operating Procedures through letter Number B/01/XI/2020 concerning Medicolegal Examinations in the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The procedure emphasizes arrangements related to the implementation of services with strict health protocol standards from both doctors and patients to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

According to the Review of Maritime Transport published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in 2018, 53.57% of total global seaborne trade volume was transported by bulk carriers in 2017. Bulk cargo shipment is one of the major modes of transportation in the international trade. Many bulk carrier marine accidents each year are caused by inappropriate cargo loading/unloading operation procedures. Therefore, the main purpose of this article is to establish a standard operating procedure for cargo handling and navigational safety management guidelines for bulk carriers. The standard operating procedure proposed in this article is developed based on loading/unloading theories, international rules and regulations, case studies, a literature review, expert opinions, and practical experience from some captains, as well as the author who has worked as a bulk carrier captain for more than 20 years. The developed standard operating procedure can be offered to bulk carrier captains, ship owners and charterers, and ship safety management companies for improving navigational safety and avoiding cargo damage.

Internal quality assurance system in Muhammadiyah university of Magelang has been applied since 2009. One of the quality assurance systems is the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in working-units. SOP is related to step-by-step instruction of operation, where the operation is conducted, what the operation is, how to do it, when to do it, and who are involved in the operation. Therefore, each activity in working-unit, either internal or external, must follow the applicable SOP. The current SOP proposal is in form of printed hardcopy. It is considered less effective. In addition, hardcopy extends the review process. Moreover, the validated SOP could not be identified well. This study builds web-based standard operating procedure (SOP) proposal information system aiming at solving those problems. The system can be used by all working-units in Muhamamdiyah University of Magelang. This system manages all validated SOP by the authority. It also reports the number of SOP for each standard, number of SOP in each working-unit, and the whole SOP in the university.

This is a descriptive and quantitative study, carried out in three hospitals in the Northwest of São Paulo, Brazil. It aimed to verify the existence and use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by nursing teams. SOPs describe each critical and sequential step of a task to ensure its expected result. A total of 261 nursing professionals participated in the study, randomly selected from different units and shifts between August and September 2006. Results indicate that 56.7% use SOPs only when they have doubts; 54.02% of the nursing technicians and auxiliaries and 62.86% of nurses do not believe the procedures are being complied with. These findings indicate the need for continuing training on SOP use and compliance by all professionals, with a view to improving nursing care.
