Abstract:

Abstract CVD-Diamantschichten werden aktuell bei der spanenden Bearbeitung herausfordernder Werkstoffe eingesetzt und führen zu einer deutlichen Erhöhung der Standzeiten. Insbesondere nanokristalline Diamantschichten ermöglichen geringe Rauheiten bei gleichzeitig höchsten Härten. In der vorliegenden Studie wurden diese Schichten erstmals auf Hartmetall-Schneidstempel für das Stanzen von federharten Bändern appliziert und ihr Einfluss auf den Verschleiß untersucht. Untersuchungen mit Hubzahlen von bis zu 100.000 haben für Schichtdicken im Bereich von 8 μm sehr gute Ergebnisse gezeigt. Derartige Nano-Diamantschichten besitzen folglich großes Potenzial zur Reduzierung des Verschleißes von Hartmetallstempeln in Stanzprozessen.

Zusammenfassung Ziel: Ermöglicht die erleichterte Mikrokalkdetektionsmethode (EMD) die sonografische Mikrokalkdarstellung an stereotaktisch gewonnenen Mammastanzzylindern im Vergleich zur Mammografie? Material und Methoden: In einer prospektiv randomisierten Studie wurden 105 stereotaktisch gewonnen Stanzzylinder mammografisch und sonografisch untersucht. Die EMD-Methode, integriert in ein High-end-Ultraschallsystem, bestand aus 3 Einstellungsstufen (0 – 2 blau, 3 – 5 violett und 6 – 8 schwarz-weiß, 14 MHz). Die Anzahl der Mikroverkalkungen pro Stanze wurde für beide Verfahren bestimmt. Die EMD-Bildqualität konnte auf einer Skala von 1 – 9 beurteilt werden. ANOVA und Post-Hoc nach Sidak, Regressionsanalyse nach Pearson (r) und Spearmansche Rangrelationskorrelation (rho) wurden ermittelt. Der Intraklassen-Korrelationskoeffizient (ICC) wurde berechnet und eine ROC-Analyse durchgeführt. Ergebnisse: Die blaue Farbmappe 1 wurde mit 1,5 ± 0,7 (MW) am besten bewertet (p< 0,05 im Vergleich zu schwarz-weiß und violett). Bei einer guter Korrelation der Verfahren (r = 0,708 und rho = 0,694) lag die Anzahl der erkannten Mikroverkalkungen pro Stanze bei 3,5 ± 3,1 sonografisch und 4,3 ± 4,8 mammografisch (p> 0,05). Der ICC zeigte mit 0,773 eine nur geringe Abweichung der Verfahren. Basierend auf dem histologischen Nachweis der Verkalkungen war die Mammografie der Sonografie in der ROC-Analyse überlegen (AUC = 0,837 vs. AUC = 0,728). Schlussfolgerung: Die sonografische Mikrokalkdetektion mittels EMD-Methode korreliert gut mit der digitalen Mammografie an stereotaktisch gewonnenen Stanzen. Die Verfahren weichen gering zugunsten der Mammografie voneinander ab.

Als Auslöser für eine akute Pankreatitis kommen selten auch Medikamente in Frage. Dabei gehören die Wirkstoffe, die mit solch einem Ereignis in Verbindung gebracht werden, einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Wirkstoffgruppen an. Für die Hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA-Reduktase-Hemmer (HMG-CoA-Reduktase-Hemmer oder auch Statine) liegen mittlerweile Fallberichte zu allen Einzelsub-stanzen vor.Wir berichten von einem 60-jährigen Patienten, der zweimal unter einer Pravastatin-Therapie eine akute Pankreatitis entwickelte. Da bei einigen Patienten in den publizierten Fallberichten nach dem Wechsel auf ein anderes Statin erneut eine Pankreatitis auftrat, gestaltet sich eine Therapieempfehlung nach einer Statin-induzierten Pankreatitis schwierig. Während auch unter Fibrat-Therapie bereits Pankreatitiden beschrieben wurden, sind für den neuen Wirkstoff Ezetimib selten auftretende unerwünschte Arzneimittelwirkungen noch nicht ausreichend bekannt.

Als vor 90 Jahren das Patent für Reluktanzmaschinen erteilt wurde, ahnte niemand die Entwicklung. Obwohl die Maschinen seither immer wieder für spezielle Fälle eingesetzt wurden, gab es keine breite Anwendung. So blieb die Maschine weitgehend unbeachtet, weil ihr Makel der schlechte Wirkungsgrad bei gleichzeitig hoher Blindstromaufnahme aus dem Netz sowie die Kostenfrage bei der Läuferfertigung waren. Heute kann man durch Stanzen optimaler Blechkonturen mit Flussstegen und Flusssperren den Läufer kostengünstig gestalten und erhält Maschinen mit hoher Effizienzklasse. Und plötzlich ist sie für viele Einsatzfälle interessant und könnte die Asynchronmaschine verdrängen – nur keiner will das Versuchskaninchen sein.Wie das Betriebsverhalten zu werten ist und welche Eigenschaften der Antrieb mit Synchron-Reluktanzmaschinen (Bild 1) hat, zeigen die Messungen, über die im Folgenden berichtet wird. So erhält der Interessierte neutrale Entscheidungshilfen an die Hand.

AbstractAlthough many philosophers have, throughout history, regarded themselves as answering the skeptic, the question arises whether answering the skeptic is the thing to do. If not, the question becomes how else to respond to her. Wittgenstein-inspired stances are, in general, therapeutic. In this article I focus on the problem of other minds in order to analyze and compare the different shapes such therapeutic stances may have. I begin by showing how crucial resisting the temptation to answer the skeptic was for John McDowell’s early formulations of disjunctivism in the 1980s. In his article “Criteria, Defeasibility, and Knowledge” I identify substantial positions such as the rejection of highest common factor views, the diagnosis of the connection between such highest common factor views and an (untenable) conception of appearances, as well as the proposal of a non-Cartesian, or modest, approach to indistinguishability for a subject. Whatever his success in these other enterprises, McDowell continues to regard both the temptation to answer the skeptic and a substitute therapeutic stance as epistemologically motivated. But if skepticism is more than an intellectual conundrum, as maintained by Stanley Cavell, the source of such temptation has to be considered in a completely different light.

Abstract:

Stanene, composed of tin atoms, is a member of 2D-Xenes, two-dimensional single element materials. The properties of the stanene can be changed and improved by applying deformation, and it is important to know the range of in-plane deformation that the stanene can withstand. Using the Tersoff interatomic potential for calculation of phonon frequencies, the range of stability of planar stanene under uniform in-plane deformation is analyzed and compared with the known data for graphene. Unlike atomically flat graphene, stanene has a certain thickness (buckling height). It is shown that as the tensile strain increases, the thickness of the buckled stanene decreases, and when a certain tensile strain is reached, the stanene becomes absolutely flat, like graphene. Postcritical behaviour of stanene depends on the type of applied strain: critical tensile strain leads to breaking of interatomic bonds and critical in-plane compressive strain leads to rippling of stanene. It is demonstrated that application of shear strain reduces the range of stability of stanene. The existence of two energetically equivalent states of stanene is shown, and consequently, the possibility of the formation of domains separated by domain walls in the stanene is predicted.

Abstract:

A Stanene, is a two-dimensional material composed of tin atoms arranged in a single hexagonal layer, in a manner similar to graphene. First principle studies based on density functional theory were performed to investigate the effects of hydrogenation and Al/P doping on electronic structure and magnetic properties of stanene. Hydrogenation opens the bandgap of stanene and changes it from nonmagnetic to the ferromagnetic material through H 1s states and Sn 5p states hybridization. Al/P atom at hollow site prevent electrons of adjacent Sn atoms to connect so that inducing unpaired electrons. The combination of hydrogenation and Al/P doping increases its magnetization. The sequence based on its magnetic moment from small to large is as follows: pure stanene, Al-doped stanene, P-doped stanene, hydrogenated stanene, Al-doped hydrogenated stanene, and P-doped hydrogenated stanene. The controllable transformation from nonmagnetic metallic to a magnetic semiconductor is a key requirement for materials to be used as spintronic materials. Thus, these results may shed light on designing the stanene-based electronic and spintronics materials.

Abstract:

We present first-principles calculations to study the stability and electronic properties of stanene on WS2 hybrid structure. It can be seen that the stanene is bound to WS2 substrate with an interlayer distance of about 3.0 Å with a binding energy of −51.8 meV per Sn atom, suggesting a weak interaction between stanene and WS2. The nearly linear band dispersion character of stanene can be preserved with a sizeable band gap in stanene on WS2 hybrid structure due to the difference of onsite energy induced by WS2 substrate, which is more helpful to the on–off current ratio in the logical devices made of stanene/WS2. Moreover, the band gaps, the position of Dirac point with respect to Fermi level, and electron effective mass (EEM) of stanene on WS2 hybrid structure can be tuned by the interlayer distance, external electric field and strains. These results indicate that stanene on WS2 hybrid structure is a promising candidate for stanene-based field-effect transistor (FET) with a finite band gap and high carrier mobility.

Die Dorfkirche Semlow in Vorpommern bietet eine beachtliche Ausstattung. Zwei Sandsteinepitaphe, die Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts im Renaissancebeschlagwerkstil geschaffen wurden, standen im Mittelpunkt der restauratorischen Bearbeitung. Die beiden Bildwerke zeigten eine umfangreiche Bandbreite von Schadbildern. Im Vordergrund standen hier die Schäden durch Rostsprengung und die Gefügeschäden der Sandsteinsubstanz durch mangelhafte Verbindung der Sedimente. Die Konservierung und Restaurierung der beiden Epitaphe erfolgte in den Jahren 2018 und 2019. In diesem Zusammenhang sind große Bereiche der Natursteindekoration demontiert worden, um sie konsolidieren zu können. Abstract:

Laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) was used to observe the interaction of Salmonella Stanley with alfalfa sprouts. The green fluorescent protein (gfp) gene was integrated into the chromosome of Salmonella Stanley for constitutive expression, thereby eliminating problems of plasmid stability and loss of signal. Alfalfa seeds were inoculated by immersion in a suspension of Salmonella Stanley (ca. 107 CFU/ml) for 5 min at 22°C. Epifluorescence microscopy demonstrated the presence of target bacteria on the surface of sprouts. LSCM demonstrated bacteria present at a depth of 12μm within intact sprout tissue. An initial population of ca. 104 CFU/g seed increased to 7.0 log CFU/g during a 24-h germination period and then decreased to 4.9 log CFU/g during a 144-h sprouting period. Populations of Salmonella Stanley on alfalfa seeds decreased from 5.2 to 4.1 log CFU/g and from 5.2 to 2.8 log CFU/g for seeds stored 60 days at 5 and 22°C, respectively. The efficacy of 100, 200, 500, or 2,000 ppm chlorine in killing Salmonella Stanley associated with sprouts was determined. Treatment of sprouts in 2,000 ppm chlorine for 2 or 5 min caused a significant reduction in populations of Salmonella Stanley. Influence of storage on Salmonella Stanley populations was investigated by storing sprouts 4 days at 4°C. The initial population (7.76 log CFU/g) of Salmonella Stanley on mature sprouts decreased (7.67 log CFU/g) only slightly. Cross-contamination during harvest was investigated by harvesting contaminated sprouts, then directly harvesting noncontaminated sprouts. This process resulted in the transfer of ca. 105 CFU/g Salmonella Stanley to the noncontaminated sprouts.

Abstract:

Using human intelligence to identify news articles' political stances is common in research and practical applications. But human judgement can be biased and prone to errors stemming from the comprehension of tasks and political alignment. This paper proposes a relative rating method based on news articles' stances relative to raters' own stances to avoid comprehension inconsistency and to control for human bias in crowdsourced stance detection of news articles. We also show how to use the relative ratings to construct a measure for raters' stances on a political topic and to identify raters whose ratings are of higher quality than others. We implement our proposed methods in an online experiment that recruits Amazon Mechanical Turk users as raters for news articles on Gun Control. Using the data from the experiment, we find evidence that raters' own stances on Gun Control significantly impact ratings of related news articles, both at the individual levels and at the aggregate levels. We also present evidence that our relative-rating-based stance measure captures more information about raters' actual stances than their self-reported stance does.

Abstract:

In this paper, elastic properties of stanene under equiaxial or uniaxial tensions along armchair and zigzag directions are investigated by first-principles calculations. The stress–strain relation is calculated and the relaxation of the internal atom positions is analyzed. The high-order elastic constants are calculated by fitting the polynomial expressions. The Young’s modulus and Poisson ratio of the stanene is calculated to be 24.14 N/m and 0.39 N/m, respectively. The stanene exhibits lower Young’s modulus than those of the proceeding group IV elements, which is attributed to the smaller [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text] bond energy in stanene than those of silicene and germanene. Calculated values of ultimate stresses and strains, second-order elastic constants (SOCEs) and the in-plane Young’s modulus are all positive. It proves that stanene is mechanically stable.
