Industrial fish-breeding is a promising trend for freshwater aquaculture development. The production of clarid catfish in Kazakhstan has advantages over traditionally grown fish species (trout, sturgeon) due to their valuable edible qualities. Clarid catfish grows very quickly even at high seeding densities, is undemanding to the environment, resistant to diseases, and effectively assimilates food. When growing clarid catfish in water recycling systems it is possible to refuse using oxygen equipment, because the fish species can use atmospheric air for breathing. As a result, the construction

The early weaning of calves onto concentrated diets provides an economically viable alternative rearing method with comparable calf performance. The emphasis in meat production has shifted to the production of lean meat, therefore the deposition of protein instead of fat has become a priority. AbstractIn a world of educational crisis, students who lack engagement and feel bored at school might not pursue further education when given opportunities to leave school. In the twenty-first century, there is a need for lifelong learners and it is therefore essential to focus on optimising education. How do we support deep learning and application of knowledge? How do we support student motivation for learning? How do we engage students in learning activities? How do we make students thrive in schools and learning activities? This chapter offers possible answers to these questions. The chapter starts by introducing important elements of learning and a framework for optimising education and engaging the students. Next, the PERMA model for optimising wellbeing for students is presented, and finally the two frameworks are combined to create thriving learners by focusing on active, involving, and engaging learning in combination with a focus on wellbeing.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Supplementing forage to preweaned calves has shown some positive effects, such as stabilization of the rumen environment, limiting abnormal behaviors, and increasing starter intake. However, dry forages can be limited and cost prohibitive in some areas of the world. Contrastingly, ensiled forages are commonly found on most dairy farms and are low cost. Therefore, the objective of this review was to focus specifically on ensiled forages and how they affect preweaned calves. There are few studies that have focused on providing ensiled forages and most of them have used corn silage. Although impacts on rumen development and nutrient digestibility have been variable, feed intake and efficiency were not affected in most reviewed studies. Growth and health parameters were also either not affected or improved. Therefore, with careful silage feeding management, the supplementation of ensiled feeds may be used to provide similar benefits of dry forages to preweaned dairy calves.

Abstract:
ZeroPay is a “zero-fee payment service,” which is designed to help small businesses. It is a QR code-based mobile secure payment service that the government, Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG), bank, and private settlement providers cooperate to reduce small business owners' commission burden. When a consumer recognizes a QR code as a smartphone app, the fees charged by the merchant's franchisee will either be lost or significantly lowered as money transfers from the consumer account to the merchant account. SMG started to ease commissions' burden on small businesses suffering from recession, rising rents, and card fees. However, because of this service started with government policy, ZeroPay started with many controversies, and these issues need to be addressed for the service to settle down stably. The main discussion of this paper is that this service will be applied successfully to the market. The author discusses how the SMG efforts settle successfully with strategically initiated services.

This availability has led to advances in ship machinery systems that have enabled the Navy to improve and sustain its mission capabilities. Since 2003, the Navy has worked with manufacturers to develop, test and evaluate a gas turbine electric starter system (GT-ESS) capable of meeting all starting requirements of the General Electric LM2500 marine gas turbine. This engine is used on U.S. Navy Surface Combatants for vessel propulsion. The GT-ESS has also been used to start a newly acquired naval

The growth and survival of forests in the future, especially in the peripheral and transition areas of ecosystems, such as the Moldavian oak forests, depend directly on temperature changes and the amount of atmospheric precipitation. The purpose of this paper is to determine the potential impact of climate aridization on native species - oaks (Quercus robur, Q. petraea, Q.pubescens) in correlation with ecological niche for these species and identifying the vulnerability zones of forests versus the drought (reproduced by various values of the DeMartonne Index). It has been determined that mesop

Abstract Up to 1998, spent ion exchange resins have been fed to the incinerator in combination with various other solid combustible wastes at Belgoprocess. However, thanks to sustained efforts to reduce radioactive waste production in all nuclear facilities in Belgium, the annual production of solid combustible waste is now much too small to allow this practice to be continued. Since the incinerator at Belgoprocess is not capable of treating spent ion exchange resins as such, it was decided to adopt the use of foam as a carrier to feed the resins to the incinerator. The mixture is a pseudohomo

Abstract:
Thermal characteristics during startup of CSR1000 are directly related to the security of supercritical water reactors. The heat transfer model during power-raising phase is built according to the sliding pressure mode of CSR1000 and thermal characteristics of coolant and moderator are analyzed. The results show that, during the temperature-raising phase of startup, Coolant and moderator temperatures in inner assemblies increase with core power increase only. With increases of core power and feed-water flow rate, Coolant and moderator temperatures remain unchanged during power-raising phase. T
