Abstract:
The article highlights the current state and problems of vocational health professional education of physicians and nurses in the specialty «cosmetology». Legal documents: orders, instructions, regulations on the activities of medical practitioners and nurses in the specialty «cosmetology» are described. The authors noted that availability of qualified staff, regularly and systematically improving their professional skills, not only the student´s individual technologies, largely determines the quality and safety of services provided on cosmetology. The authors believe that cosmetologist must have higher professional education in one of the specialties: «General medicine», «Pediatrics», he should complete his residency training on the specialty «Cosmetology» or to complete a professional retraining on specialization «Cosmetology» in the presence of higher education on the specialty «Dermatovenereology». During labour activity a doctor is obliged to obtain additional professional education at least once in five years, what determines the quality of his activities. The authors note, there are the need for greater involvement in the training of private health organizations, which have modern material and technical base and highly qualified personnel.

Abstract:
The current state of the cosmetology industry in the field of eyelash extension services is analyzed. It is concluded that the popularity of this type of service, despite the negative impact on eye health, will grow in the near future. The main symptoms that occur when using this procedure are analyzed. Among the most common symptoms should be noted a feeling of heaviness of the eyelids, burning, discomfort associated with a decrease in the field of view. It is noted that despite a number of works in this area to date, there is insufficient research, both from the point of view of the analysis of clinical cases, and from the point of view of developing safer adhesive compositions. An analysis is made of the characteristics of adhesives used in domestic cosmetology rooms. At the same time, attention was paid to the following: country of production, composition, texture and texture, setting speed, wearing time, shelf life, recommended temperature and humidity level. A typical composition of glue for eyelash extension contains the following components: cyanoacrylate and its derivatives (± 90 %); polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) (± 6 %); black pigment - carbon black (± 4 %).

Abstract:
The environmental factors influence, quite often, negatively affects the state of health. Many of them, such as smoking, deterioration in ecology, uncontrolled alcohol intake, are in detail studied in terms of harm to a human body. Nevertheless, new technologies which action is insufficiently studied, are actively introduced into modern life. So, the use of cosmetology procedures can be a striking example. Now the prevalence of such procedures as eyelash extension, a permanent make-up a century, botulotoxin injections in a periorbital zone, assumes a wide scale. In foreign and domestic literature there are more and more messages about development of the complications which arose owing to use of the above-stated procedures. There are two clinical examples from our practice in this article. They demonstrate the complications which arose after holding a procedure of eyelash extension — acute toxic-allergic conjunctivitis and after a permanent make-up — a chemical burn of a cornea. In these clinical cases of a complication arose due to aggressive action of a chemical basis of the glue applied at eyelash extension and cream-anesthetic which is applied on eyelids before a permanent make-up a century. Treatment of patients included antiinflammatory, antihistaminic, antibacterial therapy and also a long course of the tear replacement therapy applied as keratoproteсtive therapy and for prevention of development of a dry eye syndrome. Considering scales of prevalence of cosmetology procedures in recent years, it is necessary to inform specialists and patients on potential risk of development of the complications connected with the above-stated procedures. The clinical examples given in the article and literature data, demonstrate that in case of cosmetology procedures complications it is necessary to carry out timely rendering the qualified medical ophthalmologic care. It is connected with the fact that, quite often, the cosmetology manipulations, even positioned as harmless, in particular, a permanent make-up of eyelid and eyelash extension can lead to heavy complications, up to vision loss.

Abstract:
The article considers and analyzes an important stage in the development of laser systems for metal vapor from the point of view of biomedical applications. Since the advent of the first generation of domestic medical facilities with pulsed lasers on metal vapors, in particular, copper vapors (LSM), which were created in the FSUE “Research and Production Enterprise ‘Istok’”, not much time has passed. Now similar studies are widely developed and include a variety of uses, for instance, in oncology for treatment with photodynamic therapy (PDT), angioplasty of intravascular destruction of atherosclerotic lesions, dermatology and cosmetology for the treatment of facial skin defects, as well as otorhinolaryngology, gynecology, proctology, urology, and others. In that cases, doctors use the Yantar-2Fand Yakhroma-2 installations, developed on the basis of the “Kurs” LPM with radiation wavelengths λ = 510.6 nm and 578 nm and the average radiation power Prad= 5–10 W and tunable in wavelengths in the range of λ = 620–670 nm. Laser radiation is delivered to the affected area of a bio-object using a flexible light-guide cable with a diameter of 400, 600 or 800 μm fiber, which is one of the most convenient medical instruments. A compact and air-cooled medical installation of the new generation “Yakhroma-Med” based on the pulsed LPM “Kulon” with an average radiation power at the output of the light-guide cable Prad= 1–3 W uses in dermatology and cosmetology (together with the Lebedev Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences). Today, YakhromaMed is the leader in non-ablative technologies and is optimal for removing vascular, pigmented and unstained skin defects, treating acne and smoothing wrinkles. It is used in more than 100 clinics in Russia and abroad. Moreover, for scientific and practical medicine in the field of oncology, low-intensity laser therapy and surgery, dermatology and cosmetology, etc., a compact air-cooled industrial multifunctional high-intensity medical unit “Kulon-Med” (similar to Yakhroma-Med) based on two pulsed lasers was developed: LM “Kulon” with an average radiation power Prad= 10 W and LVRK with radiation tunable in wavelengths in the range λ = 620–750 nm and radiation power Prad= 1–3 W (together with Ltd. NPP VELIT, Kurchatov Institute and the Hertzen Hermitage Research and Development Institute). The laser radiation is transported using four flexible light-guide cables with a conductive quartz fiber diameter of 400 and 600 μm, which makes it possible to perform a therapeutic and prophylactic procedure simultaneously in several rooms. Medical facilities of this class have been put in many medical institutions. This report on the use of CVL in medicine says only about the developments in theMoscow region.

Abstract:
Purpose: to study the effectiveness of a combined method that includes a course of magnetolaserophoresis of longidase and diadinamophoresis of collalizin 1000 KE (collagenase units) in correcting complications of lip contouring that occurred when a large volume of filler or surface injection of a drug based on stabilized hyaluronic acid into the skin. Material and methods. We observed 31 women aged 25 to 32 years with complications after the introduction of a filler based on stabilized hyaluronic acid with localization in the lip area. Were allocated to three groups who received a course of magnetolaserotherapy of longidaza, the rate of diadynamophoresis of collalizin, or a combination. Results. The use of a combined course of longidase magnetolaserophoresis with collazine diadinamophoresis has a significant clinical effect, reducing edema, gel contouring phenomena and stabilizing the psychoemotional state of patients. In addition, the treatment complex significantly accelerates the biodegradation of the filler and has a restructuring effect on the lip tissue, gives a pronounced effect of reducing the thickness of the dermis and increasing the density coefficient of the dermis, which is probably due to a decrease in intra-dermal edema that occurs as a reaction to a surface-injected filler. Conclusions. Combined use of magnetolaserotherapy of longidaza and diadynamophoresis of collalizin to the lip when complications in the form of a surface of introduction of the filler or injecting too much of the drug based on stabilized hyaluronic acid is a highly effective method of treatment, which is confirmed by relief of clinical symptoms and improvement in quality of life of patients.

Abstract:
In vivo quantitative assessment of skin lesions is an important step in the evaluation of skin condition. An objective measurement device can help as a valuable tool for skin analysis. We propose an explorative new multispectral camera specifically developed for dermatology/cosmetology applications. The multispectral imaging system provides images of skin reflectance at different wavebands covering visible and near-infrared domain. It is coupled with a neural network-based algorithm for the reconstruction of reflectance cube of cutaneous data. This cube contains only skin optical reflectance spectrum in each pixel of the bidimensional spatial information. The reflectance cube is analyzed by an algorithm based on a Kubelka-Munk model combined with evolutionary algorithm. The technique allows quantitative measure of cutaneous tissue and retrieves five skin parameter maps: melanin concentration, epidermis/dermis thickness, haemoglobin concentration, and the oxygenated hemoglobin. The results retrieved on healthy participants by the algorithm are in good accordance with the data from the literature. The usefulness of the developed technique was proved during two experiments: a clinical study based on vitiligo and melasma skin lesions and a skin oxygenation experiment (induced ischemia) with healthy participant where normal tissues are recorded at normal state and when temporary ischemia is induced.

Abstract:
The Canadian healthcare system is an industry that Canadians are rightfully proud of, and it ranks among the world’s leading healthcare systems (ranked 16th by Bloomberg). This sector is almost 100% state-funded, but every citizen is obliged to pay a medical care tax that is rather significant. As a result, every Canadian is entitled to equal healthcare, regardless of his or her financial position. State-guaranteed medical services are paid from the state foundations that accumulate insurance pools from the provincial tax revenues under the statutory health insurance program. All Canadian residents have a special plastic Health Card they are obliged to show in each medical institution they make recourse to. This card can also serve as an identity document. Pensioners are entitled to a Health 65Card with a wider range of services. Canadian healthcare is provided free of charge, with the exception of certain areas, such as dentistry, cosmetology, and ophthalmology. The majority (actually, more than a half) of medical practitioners are family doctors, and every Canadian has the right to choose a family doctor irrespective of his or her residential address.

Abstract:
Modern ophthalmological practice is inseverable linked with cosmetology and esthetic medicine. Every year, the number of patients, especially women, who received various types of cosmetology procedures (botulinum toxin injections, eyelash extensions, eyelid tattooing, dermal fillers injections, etc.) in facial area increases, in particular in the periorbital zone.Purpose: to conduct a comprehensive assessment of clinical and functional parameters characterizing the state of the ocular surface and the tear-producing system in case applying cosmetic procedures in the periorbital area (Botox injections, eyelid tattooing, eyelash extension).Patients and methods. The study included 106 women (212 eyes). Exclusion criteria: early postoperative period after ophthalmosurgical intervention, acute inflammatory diseases of anterior and posterior eye segment, glaucoma, the presence of intraocular pathological changes (hemophthalmia, detachment of the eye membranes, tumors). The average age of the patients included in the study was 36.37 ± 9.0 years. Results and discussion. The results of a comparative evaluation of two groups of patients — a group with a history of cosmetic procedures (tattooing the eyelids, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, eyelash extensions) in the periorbital zone and patients who did not use such procedures, has showed that cosmetic procedures affect on the clinical and functional eye surfaces state and on morphofunctional state of meibomian glands. Thus, the frequency of detection of symptomocomplex of dry eye syndrome was on 36 % more often determined in the group of patients received cosmetic procedures. It has been shown that the combined effect of cosmetological procedures (tattooing the eyelids, eyelash extensions, injections of dermal fillers and botulinum toxin in the periorbital region) aggravates the course and prognosis of Dry Eye Syndrome and meibomian glands dysfunction. A direct correlation between the severity of complaints characteristic of Dry Eye Syndrome and the number of procedures was found (r = 0.4982, p = 0.0000); the frequency of detecting complaints of dryness and discomfort and the number of procedures (r = 0.6427, p = 0.0000); compression test indices and the number of procedures (r = –0.4712, p = 0.0000); the frequency of occurrence of inflammatory reactions of ocular surface and the number of procedures (r = 0.3778, p = 0.0001). The risk of tear production disturbance — dry eye syndrome and dysfunction of the meibomian glands is higher in patients using botulinum toxin injections and eyelash extension in comparison with patients using eyelid tattooing and injections of fillers with hyaluronic acid in the periorbital zone.

NEWS of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan 5, no. 443 (October 15, 2020): 196–203. http://dx.doi.org/10.32014/2020.2518-170x.121.

Abstract:
Rational use of mineral resources is becoming an important task for the development and economic growth of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the research was to study the state of salt-containing raw materials to determine the prospects for rational use of mineral resources of the Dzhaksy-Klych Deposit, one of the salty halite lakes of the Aral region. Exploration studies have shown that the Deposit is layered, where the halite layer is underlain by a sulfate layer: astrakhanite, mirabilite, tenardite, located on a layer of silt, the bed of salt deposits is dark brown clays, less often - clay Sands. Mineralogically, the halite formation is represented by, %: halite – 90-96, epsomite -1,2-2,6, mirabilite -0,2-1,9, gypsum-0,2-1,4. The production of table salt results in waste containing 65.5% chlorides, 24.5% sulfates, 6.5% sodium carbonates, and 3.5% sodium silicates, which can be used for pharmaceutical and medical purposes. Bottom silty mud by its origin and chemical composition belongs to the mainland silt-sulfide type and can be used for Spa and balneological treatment. The reserves of sulphate salts in the field are significant, with the average thickness of the sulphate reservoir in the southern basin being 0.87 m, and in the Northern basin 0.91 m. Intergranular and surface brine containing sodium and magnesium chloride-sulfate salts is of particular interest. Analysis of the state of mineral resources of the Dzhaksy-Klych Deposit revealed prerequisites for expanding the range of opportunities for using salt-containing raw materials. A promising direction for the development of the mineral resource base is the production of soda based on sodium chloride, as well as the production of a commercial product based on sodium sulfate and magnesium chloride. Microbiological examination showed the presence of non-pathogenic forms of halophilic bacteria in the salt-containing raw materials, which indicates safety for use in pharmaceutical and medical practice. In the Aral sea region, there is every reason for the development of the cosmetology industry, where a wide range of cosmetology and pharmaceutical products can be produced based on a combination of salt-containing and local vegetable raw materials.

Abstract:
IntroductionThe pathogenesis of dissatisfaction of the own appearance in patients without obvious abnormalities is still unexplored. The aim of the study was to investigate the structure of psychopathological disorders in patients without evident appearance abnormalities seeking for surgical or cosmetological correction.MethodsStudy sample has included 227 women (average age: 35.8 ± 4.9 years) and 54 men (average age: 30.9 ± 5.7 years)–patients of plastic surgery and cosmetology clinic. The study used clinical psychopathological and follow-up methods of examination.ResultsWe have found the heterogeneous spectrum of mental disorders in this group of patients: overvalued dysmorphophobia was diagnosed in 26%, anxiety-phobic disorders–23.1%, obsessive-compulsive disorders–in 11%, depression–in 32%, delusional disorders–in 7.5% of patients.ConclusionsThe results of our study show that the phenomenon of dissatisfaction with the appearance without obvious cosmetic defects manifests in the course of wide spectrum of mental disorders. The follow-up shows no improvement and even worsening of patients’ mental state after cosmetological or surgical treatment. Decision about possibility and extent of the operation should be based on the analysis of patient's mental state and motive for reference to aesthetic medicine specialist.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Background. Proper nutritional behaviors are one of the most important factors shaping our health, as they influence people's physical and mental state. Good eating habits help prevent many chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, some types of cancer, and osteoporosis. The Polish population aged 20-34 years displays improper nutritional behaviors which may put them at risk of developing diet-dependent diseases in the future. There is a need to assess students' lifestyle, including their eating habits, as it would help adapt already existing education programs. Objective. We evaluated and compared eating habits and lifestyle of students studying cosmetology and physiotherapy in association with selected risk factors of civilization diseases. Material and methods. We used a standardized dietary questionnaire evaluating respondents' physical activity, smoking and dietary habits. The obtained results were compared with the recommendations from the Polish food-based dietary guidelines. We evaluated respondents' nutritional status based on their anthropometric measurements such as body weight, body height, hips and waist circumferences and then we estimated their body mass index (BMI) and waist hip ratio (WHR). Results. Students studying cosmetology and physiotherapy obtained on average 5.3 ±1.5 points based on their compliance with the nutritional recommendations. The academic youth did not meet principles of healthy nutrition according to the given recommendations. There were no significant differences in nutrition status between the faculties, except for products that provide complete protein. Conclusions. There is a need to increase nutritional awareness of academic youth, especially students of health-related faculties, because better knowledge on nutrition would help them choose healthier food options.
