This research questions whether Israel and Palestine should be divided into two states. Viewed through the International Relations (IR) theories of Realism and Liberalism, the ‘Two-State’ solution is the orthodox policy for Israel and Palestine. But Israelis and Palestinians are interspersed and share many of the same resources making it difficult to create two states. So, this research critiques the aforementioned IR theories which underpin the ‘Two-State’ solution. The introduction of digital technologies in agricultural production is one of the most important elements of strategic development in the agricultural sector and rural areas in Ukraine. In agriculture, these new technologies can modernize the industry, promoting innovation in agribusiness and creating new opportunities for rural development. The introduction of digital technologies in agriculture ensures the accuracy of measurements, speed data collection and processing. Digitization in rural areas is an inevitable process that brings a number of economic, social and environmental benefits. Th

The time-proven MS7001EA Gas Turbine has undergone several compressor flow and firing-temperature up-rates over its life cycle to date. These up-rates, while improving output, cumulatively have driven the last stage of the turbine component away from its optimum, design-point efficiency. This paper describes an aerodynamic re-design of the last stage of the 7EA to restore its entitlement component efficiency, thus promoting Customer success through reduced heat rate and increased output. A number of patented mechanical design enhancements have also been applied in support of the aerodynamic re

Traditionally the fuel system of most modern day aero engines consist of two basic functional blocks; - pumping system - fuel metering system. The pumping system basically consists of a first stage centrifugal pump followed by a second stage gear pump. The function of the pumping system is to provide sufficient fuel at the required pressure to ensure engine operation (steady state and transient) over the complete operating envelope and under the consideration of worst case fuel inlet properties. The fuel metering system basically consists of a fuel metering valve, an emergency valve and a shut

Detailed flow simulations for a large cut back tongue volute are presented and discussed. A rounded tongue volute was tested in a single stage test rig. Before combustion, usable coal within the culm is separated from the indigenous rock and conveyed to circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers. Currently, the ocean carbon sink annually removes about a third of anthropogenic fossil fuel and industrial CO2 emissions, reducing therefore climate change damages and CO2 abatement costs. While the land sinks have entered climate policies, the ocean sink has not—for good reasons since the former stores carbon within the boundaries of a state while the ocean removes carbon from the atmosphere rather in its property as a global common. However, the question remains what is the value of the ocean carbon sink and should it be differently attributed when comparing a coastal state with a large exc

Forests are important socio-economic assets in many low-income countries. However, they are often over-exploited as governments do not sufficiently valorise them, including by taxing them inefficiently. This is the case across Nigeria, where forest management and taxation has been effectively decentralised from the federal government to individual states. In this paper we assess the current forestry tax regime in Ekiti State, one of the eight Nigerian states where forests represent more than 50 per cent of land area, and where forest revenue has been historically relevant. The nomadic nature of the herders makes it easy for them to move from one place to another, while the farmers are more stable. Some herders move to an entirely different location, while others move during rainy seasons and come back during the dry season. T
