На теперішній час державні реєстратори прав призначаються на посади відповідно до процедури передбаченої спеціалізованим законом. Процедура призначення на посаду визначається адміністративно-правовим статусом суб’єкта що здійснює повноваження у сфері державної реєстрації прав. Тому державні реєстратори володіють подвійним адміністративно-правовим статусом. По-перше, це адміністративно-правовий статус державного реєстратора, визначений підзаконними актами Мін’юсту.
