Statics is set up on the basis of 4 axioms of statics. Although these axioms are distillate and summarizing of the accumulated humankind's experience in long-range production and life, introduction of these axioms to statics seems a bit abrupt, especially the critical axiom "resultant of two forces" far fetched. This article was an attempt to present the embodying description of the effect of force and force system, based on the nature of effect of force and the equivalent and equilibrium of force systems. Understanding the mechanical properties of wet granular materials is extremely important in geotechnical engineering. The cohesion in these materials arising from a liquid bridge between a pair of grains is produced by the capillary force and the viscous force. Thus, investigating the behaviour of liquid bridges between grains helps people obtain a better understanding of the factors influencing the cohesion, including the geometry and topological distribution of liquid bridg

The coefficient of static friction is well known, and its theory and practice are commonly accepted by the academia and the industry. The popular theory for the kinetic friction is that the coefficient of dynamic friction is smaller than the coefficient of static friction, by comparison of the forces applied in the two states.
