Abstract:
Abstract The paper presents a method for estimation of converter drive parameters. This estimation encompassed three types of drives, i.e. a static Scherbius drive, a drive with a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor and a drive with a voltage inverter. For drive modelling and parameter estimation, the author implemented original programmes written in FORTRAN. As well as these, the paper describes an objective function applied for the estimation. The author also compares gradient and gradientless methods, which are applied for minimization of the objective function. Finally, the author explai

Abstract:
<em>This research paper mainly focuses on the simulation of Static Scherbius Drive Scheme for efficient speed control using Inverter firing angle control method. A slip ring induction motor (SRIM) which is an asynchronous type is used, since the rotor does not run in synchronous speed with the stator poles. It is employed in high power, narrow range of speed applications and the slip power is regulated to yield the adjustable speed drive system. The slip energy recovery scheme is carried out using power electronic based converter technique in the power recovery and energy saving via thyristor

Abstract:
The essay examines how two novels written in different periods, <em>&Ouml;rtlich bet&auml;ubt</em> (1969) by G&uuml;nter Grass and <em>American Pastoral</em> (1987) by Philip Roth, represent the student uprisings of 1968 and the explosion of the anti-war terrorist phenomenon. Grass and Roth shatter a present plagued by the past by building the narrative on concrete components, alienating items of consumer culture, and intellectual elements, traditions on which the decaying facade of bourgeois existence is based. Through a comparative analysis, the article points out that in both cases the new
