<p>This report explores the problem of substring search in a dynamic document set. The operations supported are document inclusion, document removal and queries. This is a well explored field for word indexes, but not for substring indexes. The contributions of this report is the exploration of a multi-document dynamic suffix tree (MDST), which is compared with using a hierarchy of static indexes using suffix arrays. Only memory resident data structures are explored. The concept of a ``generalised suffix tree'', indexing a static set of strings, is used in bioinformatics. The implemented data

Abstract:

Abstract:
This master’s thesis examines how a small MIMO lighting system can be identified and controlled. Two approaches are examined and compared; the first approach is a dynamic model using state space representation, where the system identification technique is Recursive Least Square, RLS, and the controller is an LQG controller; the second approach is a static model derived from the physical properties of light and a feedback feed-forward controller consisting of a PI controller coupled with a Control Allocation, CA, technique. For the studied system, the CA-PI approach significantly outperforms th

Abstract:
The theme of this doctoral thesis is research of footbridges curved in plan that are formed by stress ribbon. Recently, several noteworthy curved pedestrian bridges, which decks are suspended on their inner edges on suspension or stay cables, have been constructed. However, curved stress ribbon bridges have not been built so far. The goal of this study was to answer the question whether the use of curved stress ribbon structures is even possible. For this reason, in the first stage feasibility study of these structures has been prepared. Knowledge of both curved pedestrian bridges, which decks
