Abstract:

The objective of this research is to verify if the national income variable influences interest rate, or vice versa, the interest rate influences national income. The research is conducted by using causality test of Final Prediction Error which is method for determining the optimal length in the way minimizing FPE.Result of the test by using FPE showed that there is one datum showing GNP stationer variable demonstrating to Mackinnon critical values 5%, the best testing model is model which having the minimum AIC, and also on interest rate of bank of Indonesia (SBI) there is one datum of stationer showing that SBI stationer on Mackinnon critical values 5% demonstrating model 3 stationer which has minimal AIC value. The conclusion acquired from this research is that GNP causes SBI but SBI does not cause GNP because GNP variable is influenced by the previous time.

Abstract:

Abstract This note expands on an article by Malcolm Parkes, published posthumously in The Library. In his article, Parkes looks at monograms left by Oxford stationer Thomas Hunt in the manuscripts that Hunt appraised. He argues that Hunt capitalized on these manuscripts, using them as securities for borrowed money he in turn invested in his printing business. Thos note shows that Hunt appraised several more books than Parkes found and suggest that Hunt’s work as a university stationer was possibly more lucrative than previously imagined.

Abstract:
The volatility of financial security make an investor difficult and inaccurate to predict the value of targeted investation. The failure for predicting the value of financial asset will mitigate for either succeed or not an investation. That condition will not happen if an investor has knowledge for predicting the volatility financial asset. There for, we need study for forecasting the spillover effect of financial asset using ARCH-GARCH model. The novelty of this study is, we compare the three of ASEAN ETFs that still rarely investigate, are: Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore using 5 samples of ETFs. We applied Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (ARCH) and Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) for predicting the spillover efect. The result of unit root test shown that the data not stationer at level, however stationer at first difference. The result of GARCH for JK-LQ45, EWS and EIDO are not significant and it mean there is not ARCH effect. In contract the result are significant for ETF EWM and FXSG. We also found the best AIC are from ETF EWS and ETF FXSG.

This paper introduces a spectral clustering-based method to show that stock prices contain not only firm but also network-level information. We cluster different stock indices and reconstruct the equity index graph from historical daily closing prices. We show that tail events have a minor effect on the equity index structure. Moreover, covariance and Shannon entropy do not provide enough information about the network. However, Gaussian clusters can explain a substantial part of the total variance. In addition, cluster-wise regressions provide significant and stationer results.

The deficit of last decade rain in West Africa and particularly in Benin pushes us to make the analysis of tendencies of the dry sequences of the tabular stations from daily raining data. The general objective of this survey is the research of rupture and tendency in the dry sequence sets in the period from 1970 to 2009 from daily raining data of the tabular stations of Benin. We have extract of data daily raining of six stations of Benin, the maximal dry sequence length and the dry sequence average in the period from1970 to 2009 and we analyzed the variation of maxima of length of dry sequences and their average on the period from 1970 to 2009.Then, to deepen analyses of tendency, we achieved some statistical tests have been applied to the set of the maxima dry sequence with the help of the software Khronostat. From the results, we can retain the existence of a reduction tendency of the dry sequence with breakpoint in 2006 in the station’s Cotonou. In opposition, an increase tendency with breakpoint in 1978 in the station’s Natitingou. And, a stationary tendency without breakpoint in the set of maxima of dry sequence length to the station of Bohicon, Savè, Parakou and Kandi.

Full text
Abstract:
The ridership of a metro station during a city’s peak hour is not always the same as that during the station’s own peak hour. To investigate this inconsistency, this study introduces the peak deviation coefficient to describe this phenomenon. Data from 88 metro stations in Xi’an, China, are used to analyze the peak deviation coefficient based on the geographically weighted regression model. The results demonstrate that when the land around a metro station is mainly land for work, primary and middle schools, and residences, its station’s peak hour is consistent with the city’s peak hour. Additionally, the station’s peak hour is more likely to deviate from the city’s peak hour for suburban stations. There are two ridership options when designing stations, namely the extra peak hour ridership during a city’s peak hour and that during a station’s peak hour, and the larger of the two is used to design metro stations. The mixed land use ratio must be considered in urban land use planning, because although non-commuting land can mitigate the traffic pressure of a city’s peak hour, it may cause the deviation of the station’s peak hours from that of the city.

Abstract:
A Funeral Elegy was written in February 1612 by “W. S.,” a poet of “name and credit” closely familiar with Shakespearean texts. The pamphlet was registered by a stationer, Thomas Thorp, whose livelihood depended chiefly on the Shakespeare-Jonson theatrical circle and who had published Shakespeare's Sonnets in 1609. Privately issued and surviving in just two copies, A Funeral Elegy received scant notice until 1989, when I first presented archival, statistical, and literary evidence that WS could be William Shakespeare. Focusing on intertextual evidence derived in part from new electronic resources, this essay addresses a vexing conundrum: the elegy is aesthetically disappointing and yet distinctively Shakespearean—a paradox that raises larger questions about attributional methodology and canonical theory. An emerging scholarly consensus supports a Shakespearean attribution for the elegy, though the poem challenges prevailing notions of what it is that makes Shakespeare “Shakespeare.”

This research aimed to forecast the gasoline demand at Denpasar using genetic algorithm method. This algorithm was selected because of easy to implement and its ability to find acceptable solution quickly. This algorithm works by searching the best individu according to fitness function defined. The series data used in the research were 60 observations of monthly gasoline demand at Denpasar for period January 2009 through December 2013. By observing the Partial Autocorrelation Function (PACF) plot, we found the last lag before the series become stationer was sixth lag. Based on this finding, we decided the best individu was represented by six genes. This individu, in addition, was used to make in-sample forecasting. The forecasted data had mean absolute error (MAE) as much as 553,27 kiloliters. For one semester out-of sample forecast, we found gasoline consumption fluctuated with lowest and highest consumption were for February 2014 and June 2014, respectively.

Abstract:
Preventing power transmission failures in its network of electrical terminal stations is a major concern for the infrastructure of the Thai capital Bangkok and its vicinity. Towards this objective the present study aims to analyse the network and its reliability under conditions of increased demand. The analysis is based on a representation of the network as a graph allowing to identify the most important terminal stations by graph-theoretical terms. These are, in particular, the centrality measures Degree Centrality (DC) giving the number of a station’s one-hop neighbours, Closeness Centrality (CC) describing the efficiency of power transmission from one station to others, shortest-path Betweenness Centrality (BC) indicating the number of a station’s occurrences on the shortest paths between indirectly connected stations, Hub describing stations that are connected to a large number of important stations, and Authority indicating the stations that connect many important stations. Experimental results revealed that the Bangkok Noi station was most significant when the measures DC, CC and BC were considered and, on the other hand, that the North Bangkok station was vital in terms of CC, Hub and Authority. Therefore, these stations need to be closely monitored and their operation to be carried out with extreme care in order to prevent the occurrence of power transmission failures within the Bangkok metropolitan area.

Abstract:
SUMMARY Traditional two-station ambient noise interferometry estimates the Green’s function between a pair of synchronously deployed seismic stations. Three-station interferometry considers records observed three stations at a time, where two of the stations are considered receiver–stations and the third is a source–station. Cross-correlations between records at the source–station with each of the receiver–stations are correlated or convolved again to estimate the Green’s function between the receiver–stations, which may be deployed asynchronously. We use data from the EarthScope USArray in the western United States to compare Rayleigh wave dispersion obtained from two-station and three-station interferometry. Three three-station interferometric methods are distinguished by the data segment utilized (coda-wave or direct-wave) and whether the source–stations are constrained to lie in stationary phase zones approximately inline with the receiver–stations. The primary finding is that the three-station direct wave methods perform considerably better than the three-station coda-wave method and two-station ambient noise interferometry for obtaining surface wave dispersion measurements in terms of signal-to-noise ratio, bandwidth, and the number of measurements obtained, but possess small biases relative to two-station interferometry. We present a ray-theoretic correction method that largely removes the bias below 40 s period and reduces it at longer periods. Three-station direct-wave interferometry provides substantial value for imaging the crust and uppermost mantle, and its ability to bridge asynchronously deployed stations may impact the design of seismic networks in the future.

Abstract:
Microalgae are the most primitive plant-sized cellular organisms commonly known as phytoplankton. The habitat of its life is in waters or humid places. This organism is a primary producer of water that has any capability to photosynthesis like any other high-level plants. This study examines mathematically the optimal control of light intensity and liquid waste nutrition in microalgae growth. Growth liter is done by setting the intensity of light in the process of glucose formation and nutrition tofu liquid waste, tapioca, industry, and households as the additional nutrients of microalgae. The Pontryagin maximun principles is used to determine the optimal control solution. The solution is solved from the state and co-state equation that stationery evaluated using the indexed performance maks 𝐽[𝑢1 + 𝑢2 ] = ∫ 𝐺(𝑡) − 𝑡𝑓 𝑡0 𝑆(𝑡) − 1 2 𝑢1 (𝑡) 2 − 1 2 𝑢2 (𝑡) 2𝑑𝑡 with the stationer condition that gives the optimal control 𝑢1 ∗ = 𝛾2𝛼2𝑄𝐵 and 𝑢2 ∗ = −𝛾5𝜌1𝑆. The results shows that before the optimal control of light intensity and nutrition of liquid waste is applied, the concentration of microalgae biomass becomes 5.915 g / liter on the 20th day stayed at the 105th day. The lipid quota with an initial value of 0.6 g/liter will decrease to 0.2 g / liter at 4th day which is the equilibrium point. Optimal control of the regulation of light intensity of 2-9 klux and liquid waste nutrition provided a significant increase in the amount of microalgae biomass and lipid quota, with the regulation of light intensity of 2- 9 klux and tofu liquid waste nutrition which gave the largest increase in the amount of microalgae biomass and lipid quota

Abstract:
This paper will assess in aggregate and detail the trend of BOP and its component in Indonesia. Stationarity test will be employed to each component of Indonesian BOP to assess the persistency. This study will calculate the balance of payment constrained growth (BOPC) using Kalman Filter technique (state space model). The BOP, secondary income, and financial account are found to be stationer which means that the data are mean reverting. On the other hand, current account balance, trade balance, service balance, primary income, and capital account balance are unit root. This paper found the evidence of the importance of commodity price to Indonesian current account and export. Indonesian dependency on commodity-based export need to be restructured. Indonesia should also consider the side effect of FDI as a source of financing for current account deficit, without ignoring the positive effect of FDI and the volatility of portfolio investment. The persistency of primary income deficit should also become Indonesian future policy agenda.

Abstract:
The inconsistencies of passenger flow volume between stations’ peak hours and cities’ peak hours have emerged as a phenomenon in various cities worldwide. Passenger flow forecasting at planning stages can only predict passenger flow volume in city peak hours and for the whole day. For some stations, the highest flow does not occur in the city peak hours, and station scale design is often too small. This study locates the formation mechanism of station peak in which the temporal distribution of the station is the superposition of different temporal distributions of the purpose determined by land-use attributes. Data from 63 stations in Xi’an, China, were then used to present an enlargement coefficient which can change the boarding and alighting volume in city peak hours to a station’s own peak hours. This was done by analyzing the inconsistencies of passenger flow volume between the station’s peak hours and the city’s peak hours. Morning peak deviation coefficient (PDC) and evening PDC were selected as datasets, and stations were classified accordingly. Statistics of land usage for every type of station showed that when the stations were surrounded by developed land, the relationship between the PDC and the commuter travel land proportion was to some extent orderly. More than 90.00% of stations with a proportion of commuter travel land that was more than 0.50 had PDCs under 1.10. All stations with a proportion of commuter travel land that was less than 0.50 had morning PDCs over 1.10. Finally, data from 52 stations in Chongqing, China were used to verify the findings, with the results in Chongqing predominantly corresponding to those in Xi’an.

Abstract:
We formulate a direct generalization of the Prigogine’s principle of minimum entropy production, according to a new isoperimetric variation principle by classical non-equilibrium thermodynamics. We focus our attention on the possible mathematical forms of constitutive equations. Our results show that the Onsager’s reciprocity relations are consequences of the suggested variation principle. Furthermore, we show by the example of the thermo-diffusion such reciprocity relations for diffusion tensor, which are missing in Onsager’s theory. Our theorem applied to the non-linear constitutive equations indicates the existence of dissipation potential. We study the forms of general reciprocity with the dissipation potential. This consideration results in a weaker condition than Li-Gyarmati-Rysselberhe reciprocity has. Furthermore, in the case of electric conductivity in the magnetic field, our theorem shows the correct dependence of the Onsager’s kinetic coefficient by the axial vector of magnetic induction. We show in general that the evolution criterion of the global entropy production is a Lyapunov-function, and so the final stationer state is independent of the initial, time-independent boundary conditions.

Abstract:
This article describes and problematizes the skills that are used when researching analogue archives. The article deals with the process that operates when a researcher finds small details in archival records that makes it possible to generate a story. Whether it is skill or luck that enables one to find the phenomena that create meaning is also discussed. The empirical example is fetched from the “Swedish Town project” that was initiated with the aim to write a new kind of urban history in the 1940s by Swedish art historian Gregor Paulsson. The researcher Börje Hanssen conducted field work in the city of Helsingborg in southern Sweden during the summers in 1942, 1943 and 1944. The “Swedish Town”-project explored urban history through both traditional sources such as archives, but also by interviews with contemporary town inhabitants and photographs. In the article we meet both Hanssen and some of his interviewees, and his working methods, his texts and some photographs are being analyzed. Börje Hanssen later became an influential ethnologist and in this article we encounter him in the beginning of his career. In order to examine the role played by one small detail in a large amount of material, and how such a detail can influence the researcher’s inter- pretations, Roland Barthes concepts of punctum and studium are used in the article, in order to create meaning out of small, everyday and often seemingly insignificant phenomena. Punctum and studium are fruitful analytical tools, not only in analyzing photographs, which was Barthes original use of the concept but also in other contexts, in this case archival records. The article thus discusses when a detail becomes the punctum that changes the researcher’s mindset and enables new knowledge to be produced.

Abstract:
We principally focus on evaluating the local and entire network performance of railway stations for sustainable logistics management in South Korea. Specifically, we aim to address the issue of dealing with vulnerability in logistics dependent on the degree of connectivity. To resolve this issue, we investigate (i) the current level of local railway station sustainability performance from the perspectives of the value of the station (node) and the geographical location (place), and (ii) how railway station network management can prepare for imminent internal and external risks. Integrating node–place analysis and social network analysis approaches, we demonstrate a means of assessing (i) local railway station performance by comparing how one station’s value differs from that of other stations, and (ii) overall railway network performance by measuring the degree of connectivity based on the centrality characteristics. Consequently, we recommend improvement in planning orders considering the degree of local performance and network vulnerability for railway station network sustainability.

In addition, there is an arrival stream of jobs that choose a station based on the state of the system. In this paper we describe two heavy traffic approximations for the stationary joint probability mass function of the number of busy servers at each station. One of the approximations involves state-space collapse and is accurate for large traffic loads. The state-space in the second approximation does not collapse. It provides an accurate estimate of the stationary behavior of the system over a wide range of traffic loads.

Abstract:
Electric vehicle charging station have become an urgent need in many communities around the world, due to the increase of using electric vehicles over conventional vehicles. In addition, establishment of charging stations, and the grid impact of household photovoltaic power generation would reduce the feed-in tariff. These two factors are considered to propose setting up charging stations at convenience stores, which would enable the electric energy to be shared between locations. Charging stations could collect excess photovoltaic energy from homes and market it to electric vehicles. This article examines vehicle travel time, basic household energy demand, and the electricity consumption status of Okinawa city as a whole to model the operation of an electric vehicle charging station for a year. The entire program is optimized using MATLAB mixed integer linear programming (MILP) toolbox. The findings demonstrate that a profit could be achieved under the principle of ensuring the charging station’s stable service. Household photovoltaic power generation and electric vehicles are highly dependent on energy sharing between regions. The convenience store charging station service strategy suggested gives a solution to the future issues.

In this paper, we study a synchronous computer network model which may be described as follows. There are n service stations around a circle and there are k people to be serviced with at most one person per station. Time is slotted and in each time slot b adjacent people with an empty station ahead can move synchronously and simultaneously to the next counterclockwise station with probability pb. We show that the stationary distribution is uniform on all possible states, and using the Descartes' rule of signs we find the optimal value of k (fixed p and n) that yields maximal ‘throughput', i.e., the expected number of people served per time slot in equilibrium. We also briefly study an asynchronous model (introduced by D. Sarkar) where in each time slot a person moves with probability p to the next counterclockwise station if it is empty. We find, among other results, the new stationary distribution (Ramakrishnan et al. (1989) also find independently the stationary distribution and they also find the optimal value of k (fixed p and n) that yields maximal throughput in this model). We give tables comparing the synchronous and asynchronous models. Some applications which motivate this study are briefly presented.

Abstract:
The purpose of study is to generalize the vertical displacements of the GNSS network of spatial monitoring of the Dnister HPP-1 dam for the differentiation of its kinematics as well as to evaluate the impact of short-term geodynamic processes in the region. Object of study. The object of the study is the monitoring of the Dniester HPP-1 dam according to the GNSS network data of the stationary system for monitoring the spatial displacement of structures (SSMSDS) of the Dniester HPP-1. The basis of the Dnister SSMSDS are two base GNSS stations additionally equipped with a robotic total station, which are installed on a strong foundation and located at a distance of several hundred meters from the dam. There are control points equipped with a GNSS receiver, antenna and an angle reflector with a 3600 viewing angle on the crest of the dam. The results of GNSS measurements are transmitted to the Leica GNSS Spider software, which processes and determines the coordinates of the base and control points. The GEOMOS software performs a joint estimation of GNSS results and linear-angular measurements. Methodology. To generalize the displacements of GNSS stations of Dnister HPP-1 the method of statistical analysis of time series is used. Authors examine the covariance interrelationships between all GNSS stations of the stationary system for monitoring the spatial displacement of structures (SSMSDS) of the Dnister HPP-1, which are placed on the dam based on the results of measurements from 1.07.2017 to 31.03.2021. For the selected periods of anomalous short-term displacements, the average values of covariance for each GNSS station are calculated. Results. During the period from 1.07.2017 to 31.03.2021 and according to the results of covariance interrelation for most GNSS stations, 3 epochs of anomalous altitude displacements are established (T = 2017.8 ± 0.1, T = 2019.0 ± 0.1, T = 2019.4 ± 0.1). Based on the covariance analysis, it was found that for periods of anomalous vertical displacements, the kinematics of the GNSS station MP01 differs significantly from the kinematics of GNSS stations MP02-MP05. The kinematics of GNSS-stations MP02-MP05 is constant, which indicates the anomalous movement of the unit on which the GNSS-station MP01 is installed in relation to the other blocks of the dam of the Dnister HPP-1. Scientific novelty and practical significance. Authors proposed the method for studying the geodynamics possesses of large industrial areas covered by a network of GNSS stations. Based on the GNSS measurements the periods of anomalous displacement are reveled and further search for spatial kinematic interrelationships between pair of GNSS stations is established. The developed methodology can be used to differentiate the kinematics of structural elements with installed GNSS stations such as engineering structures, industrial areas, geodynamic polygons.

Abstract:
The order of documentation of operations on receipt of fuels and lubricants to the enterprise as a result of their acquisition through stationary points on production sites and through third-party gas stations with various forms of calculations is defined. It is found that companies receive fuel and lubricants on the basis of agreements concluded with gas stations, which indicate the brand, type of fuel, its price, the moment of transfer of ownership, method of receipt, place of receipt of fuel. It is established that the implementation and reflection in the accounting of the purchase of fuels and lubricants is influenced by the method of refueling – through gas stations or stationary points at the production sites of the enterprise. Documenting the refueling of motor vehicles through stationary points at the production sites of the enterprise is similar to the registration of the movement of inventories. Documenting the refueling of motor vehicles through gas stations depends on the type of payment (cash or non-cash) and their form (information, coupons, fuel cards). It is reported when purchasing fuel and lubricants by cashless payment without the use of coupons for the release of fuel at the gas station. The peculiarity of the release of fuel on coupons is the restriction of their validity for a certain period. It is established that the modern means of payment for purchased fuel are liter and cash fuel cards, as well as bank payment cards. The authors developed document flow schemes for operations on the receipt of fuel and lubricants when refueling vehicles through stationary points at the production sites of the enterprise and through third-party gas stations in the case of information, coupons, fuel cash and liter cards can be used to improve the accounting of fuel and lubricants at the enterprise.

Abstract:
Robotic pipetting stations are becoming increasingly popular to perform a variety of different laboratory analyses, including use of biochemical, chemical, and molecular biology reactions. As molecular diagnostic (MDx) analyses are adapted to pipetting stations, their need for additional resources on the pipetting stations such as heating and cooling will also grow. We designed and constructed small (< 150 cm2) accessories for use on a popular pipetting station. Both have small footprints and were built using readily available components. The microplate heater could achieve set point temperature within 10 minutes of activation and exhibited minimal temperature variation. The cooler was designed to be a passively cooled resource that could contain up to 15 Eppendorf tubes and maintain the temperature at least 20 degrees below ambient for at least two hours. Both units have been used to automate a coupled series of molecular biology reactions that yield RNA aptamers. We believe these two devices can be widely utilized with minor modifications of any pipetting station that requires heating or cooling capabilities on the pipetting station's deck.
