An experiment was conducted to investigate the aerodynamic losses of two high-pressure steam turbine nozzles (526A, 525B) subjected to a large range of incident angle and exit Mach number. The blades were tested in a 2D transonic windtunnel. The exit Mach number ranged from 0.60 to 1.15 and the incidence was varied from -34o to 35o. Measurements included downstream Pitot probe traverses, upstream total pressure, and endwall static pressures. Key areas of noise sources are investigated through comparison of eddy convection velocity and turbulence measurements in three-stream nozzles. A Time-Resolved Doppler Global Velocimetry (TR-DGV) Instrument was applied to the Nozzle Acoustic Test Rig (NATR) at NASA's Aero-Acoustic Propulsion Lab (AAPL) to measure convection velocity. Particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements provided mean velocity and turbulence intensity. The diploma thesis named Heat exchanger with a combined condensation deals with design of the heat exchanger with a combined condensation. The first part is a brief research about direct-contact heat exchangers. The next part describes physical principles of direct-contact heat transfer mechanisms and a method of calculation is proposed. After that the bundle with basic dimension of heat exchanger is designed. The mixing chamber is designed based on these dimension. Technical documentation of a heat exchanger with combined condensation is an integral part of the thesis.
