Abstract:
The Hispaniolan genus Bura Mulsant is removed from Coccidulinae and placed in Sticholotidinae. The characteristics which justify this transfer are discussed and an historical review of the classification of the Sticholotidinae is presented. Bura is diagnosed and redescribed, and its affinities to other Sticholotidini are discussed. Illustrations of key generic characters are provided.

The following nomenclatural changes in the Oriental Sticholotidini (Coccinellidae: Sticholotidinae) are proposed: Sticholotis quadrisignata rugicollis Korschefsky (1934) is elevated to a distinct species (status revised) and Sticholotis gomyi Chazeau (1974) is a new junior synonym of S. rugicollis (new synonym). The genus Neojauravia Gordon & Almeida (1991), described from Brazil, is a new junior synonym of Pharoscymnus Bedel (1906) and the type species, Neojauravia naeida Gordon & Almeida (1991), is a new junior synonym of Pharoscymnus flexibilis (Mulsant, 1853) (new synonyms).

An updated checklist of the Coccinellidae species of the former subfamily Sticholotidinae recorded from Iran is provided. Eleven species are reported: two species classified presently in the subfamily Microweiseinae (in the genera Paracoelopterus Normand, 1936 and Serangium Blackburn, 1889), and nine species classified in the tribe Sticholotidini of the subfamily Coccinellinae (in the genera Coelopterus Mulsant & Rey, 1852 and Pharoscymnus Bedel, 1906). The genus Filipinolotis Miyatake has been reviewed in this study. Descriptions and illustrations of two species (F.latefasciata Miyatake and F.purpuratorotunda Wang, Zhang & Ślipiński, sp. n.) in the Luzon island of the Philippines, are given. The male genitalia of F.latefasciata are described for the first time. A key to known species is also provided.

Known species of Sticholotis Crotch from Myanmar are redescribed, diagnosed and illustrated, and a key for their identification is presented. Notes on the genus and nomenclatural history for each species are provided. Lectotypes are designated for Orcus bipunctatus Gorham, Orcus quadriguttatus Gorham and Orcus discoideus Gorham. A neotype is designated for Sticholotis dohrni Weise.
