Introduction: Prolonged labor is labor that lasts more than 24 hours for primigravida and or 18 hours for multigravida. Prolonged labor is one of several causes of maternal and newborn mortality. As labor progresses, contractions become more frequent, longer and stronger in intensity. Adequate contractions are needed so that labor can take place normally. Nipple stimulation is one way that can be used in increasing uterine contractions. Nipple stimulation causes the breasts to become aroused which causes the intensity of uterine contractions due to the stimulation of the receptors to loosen. T

One of the concerns among mothers for delivery is labor pain. There are various methods to decrease labor pain, of which epidural anesthesia is an effective one, but not all mothers agree to receive this invasive intervention. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is an inexpensive, safe, and easily applicable method which can be used in patient control mode. To find proper non-invasive methods to pain relief during labor this study was conducted to compare TENS, Entonox and combination of them during the first phase of labor. In this RCT study, 120 pregnant women in the age range

Abstract:
In current article the management of pregnancy and labor with premature rupture of membranes in term pregnancies and pathogenesis of premature rupture of membranes is discussed. The stimulation of labor in 2-3 hours after premature rupture of membranes without biological readiness for labor is not reasonable. In such cases active-observation tactic with antigestagens treatment and adequate antibacterial therapy helps to decrease the number of pathological labor, cesarean section and obstetrical trauma.

Background: Oxytocin is a drug commonly administered drug to a pregnant lady during labor, nowadays even without an indication, in the hope that the progress of labor can be improved and the need for cesarean delivery may be reduced. This study emphasizes the need for using safeguards like use of checklists before starting oxytocin augmentation, therefore ensuring its rational use to minimize maternal and neonatal complications when augmenting labor with oxytocin, including rigorous indications, use of minimal useful dose and careful efficacy evaluation. Methods: This is a retrospective, Case-C

Delivery, induction, stimulation, cesarean section with the aid of a vacuum extraction, for example, can reduce maternal confidence on the smooth delivery process, as well as improve postpartum stress. These stressors stimulate the HPA axis (hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal), so that the adrenal cortex produces more cortisol hormone, it can increase postpartum blues. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of delivery stimulation on protracted labor on cortisol levels and the occurrence of postpartum baby blues.
