Abstract:
A soft template method is used for the synthesis of pH responsive microcontainers with inner cavity. Poly Glycidyl Methacrylate (PGMA) microspheres of narrow size distribution are synthesized by soap-free 10 radical emulsion polymerization and the coating of the microspheres is carried out with the same procedure. The procedure consists of two steps. In the first step the sacrificial template is synthesized and in the second step the shell is formed. Acrylic Acid is used as coating monomer aiming at introducing pH sensitivity in the synthesized microcontainers. Loading and Release study of the
