Abstract:
The thesis is focused on the issue of sensorless vector control of a synchronous motor with permanent magnets in the low-speed range. In the first part, there is a brief description of the synchronous motor and the necessary transformations for the application of vector control. This is followed by the overview of sensorless methods for position estimation by injecting a high-frequency harmonic signal. The practical part is devoted to the implementation of a control algorithm to develop kit STM32NUCLEO-L476RG, which is preceded by the identification of all engine parameters. As part of the implementation, a structure including current, speed and position control was designed. The functionality and robustness of the settings have been successfully tested due to the different inertia and load.

L'elaborato descrive l'implementazione di un nodo sensore LoRaWAN su piattaforma STM32, in particolare sulla scheda di sviluppo Discovery Board B-L072Z-LRWAN1 di STMicroelectronics. Vengono discusse le varie caratteristiche del protocollo LoRa e più in generale di LoRaWAN. Una volta implementato un nodo funzionante si valutano i consumi energetici attraverso misure dei parametri di alimentazione e si valuta com'è possibile diminuirli. Da queste misure sono poi dedotte le varie possibilità di utilizzo che questo tipo di dispositivo può coprire e si valutano possibili alimentazioni alternative come ad esempio tramite energy harvesting.

This masters's thesis deals with choice and implementation of two free real-time operating systems into powerful 32-bit microcontroller with ARM Cortex-M4F core. First, there is shortly described the ARM architecture in general, its programmer's model, instruction set and Cortex-M4F core in brief. Next is description of the architecture of used microcontroller STM32F407VGT6 from ST Microelectronics, description of its integrated memories and their organization and functions of its integrated A/D and D/A converters. Next part of this thesis deals with searching real-time operating systems with ARM Cortex-M4F core support and then choose two of these systems for the implementation. The chosen operating systems are more closely described in two following chapters. Next chapter analyses possible implementations of the digital PSD controller and more complex system of such controllers using real-time operating system. Following chapter describes implementation of chosen operating systems and designed controllers. Last chapter deals with evaluation of features and qualities of the chosen real-time operating systems for implementation of embedded control system.

Abstract:
The thesis is focused on developing a control system for a students project of racing car Falcon with pneumatic propulsion system. The electronic design was splitted into 4 standalone modules to increase reliability and mainain- ablitity of the system. The modules are engine control unit, power supply, human machine interface and speedometer. A CAN bus with customly designed communication protocol is used to interconnect these modules. Except the pneumatic circuit control the elekctronics takes care also about measuring the race related data (pressures in the pneumatic circuit, car speed, etc.). These values are stored on SD card and optionally sent over a wireless link to PC. In the second part of the thesis design of the firmware is described. For the debugging purposes a logging system was developed. The log messages from all modules are sent over CAN and stored on the SD card for post-mortem analysis. Unit tests were written for all elementary software blocks. The Falcon vehicle with this control system participated in the competition organised by the Hungarian company Aventics during May 2019. The Falcon ended on 8th place in long distance race and on 7th place in arcade race.

La fiabilité des microcontrôleurs est cruciale compte tenu de leur utilisation massive dans de nombreux domaines, surtout dans des environnements sévères. De ce fait, la robustesse aux perturbations électromagnétiques, en particulier à propos des alimentations, est un axe de développement majeur, que ce soit pour acquérir un avantage comparatif sur le marché, ou simplement pour assurer la sécurité des biens et des personnes. En ce sens, nous avons étudié le test de ces circuits soumis à des agressions transitoires rapides en salve définies par la norme IEC 61000-4-4. Les mécanismes spécifiques de propagation de la perturbation en mode commun sont mis en évidence, ainsi que leur conversion en mode différentiel. Plusieurs méthodes de mesure, dont certaines originales, ont été développées pour valider cette conversion, ainsi que les modes de propagation. Sur cette base, le réseau de distribution des alimentations a été particulièrement étudié et son influence sur la robustesse du circuit a été mise en évidence. Enfin, cette thèse ouvre de nouvelles perspectives d’amélioration de la robustesse des microcontrôleurs, pour ce type d’agression, et donc de leur fiabilité<br>The reliability of the microcontrollers is crucial considering their massive use in numerous domains, especially in severe environments. Therefore, the robustness in the electromagnetic disturbances, in particular for the power supply network, is a major development, whether it is to acquire a comparative advantage on the market, or simply to assure the goods and people safety. Therefore, we studied the Fast Transient Burst test of integrated circuits, as defined by the IEC 61000-4-4 standard. The specific propagation mechanisms of the disturbance in common mode are highlighted, as well as their conversion in differential mode. Several measurements methods, among which certain novel, were developed to validate this conversion, as well as the propagation modes. Based on this, the power distribution network was particularly studied and its influence on the robustness of the circuit was highlighted. Finally, this work opens new perspectives of improvement of the microcontrollers’ robustness, for this kind of aggression, and thus their reliability

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of plasma generators. Specificantlly, the work focuses on the design of HMI devices for plasma generators, including the design of the control part of the generator. The main advantage of controlling the plasma generator using an HMI device is the ability to quickly change important parameters. The HMI device allows convenient switching of the generator output frequency without the need to interfere with the wiring, which leads to higher efficiency when working with the plasma generator. Another advantage of the HMI device is the display of all important information on the LCD display. The work deals with the basic theory of plasma and its use, the division of microcontrollers and the description of their peripherals, the selection of components used and their wiring. The last part of the work is devoted to the software of the plasma generator.

The subject of master´s thesis the problematics of current loop. Within the thesis, the basic components of current loop and the possibilities of its usage are described. There has also been an analysis made of the crucial functions of analyzer which is currently being in the process of development. A focus is put on mode of source and measure. The related functions are crucial in terms of testing and simulation of current loop. Furthermore, the SPI is described and it is used to establish access to the analyzer’s display. The usage of FMEA method has been chosen for the purpose of circuit’s reliability assessment. Practical part describes development of the analyzer and its parts. FMEA method application for selected fault states is presented in final part.

Abstract:
Contactless cards are everywhere nowadays due to their ease to use and low price to produce. In addition, their reliability is excellent. That is why they are used in systems where security is essential within a low price. To develop the associated systems (cards, readers, terminals), efficient tools are needed. These tools can be a spy analyzing any communication or an emulator that can act and answer exactly as a real contactless card. The objective of this thesis was to develop a contactless card emulator on a product that is currently only spying, the NomadLAB of KEOLABS. The emulator feature is based on a discontinued product, the ProxiCARD, and it has for main objective to be compliant with the ISO 14443 standard. Through the analysis of its architecture and its current performance, I have developed a complete system that can be integrated into the ecosystem of the KEOLABS products. The features I developed take place into the source code of the NomadLAB, at the level of its ARM microcontroller in language C, and in its FPGA in language VHDL. The ARM is here to handle all the smart part of the transmission, while the FPGA to handle the coding and decoding process. In addition, I developed an antenna able to on one hand receive the signal from a reader and on the other hand to reply to it by modulating the magnetic field. I also developed and added my controls to the current computer software. Finally, I have written a lot of testing to make sure that this new system is reliable. The NomadLAB is now able to emulate a contactless card complying with ISO14443 standard, while keeping its spy features, and its control through a computer.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the design and realization of a DC/DC converter, which allows power conversion from 10-52 V input voltage to 10-52 V output voltage at a maximum output current of 3 A. The converter can communicate with the superior system via the CAN. In the first chapter I deal with the available integrated circuits of DC/DC converters, from which I choose one for my application. In the second chapter, I propose a block scheme of the converter, which includes the requirements from the assignment as well as my additional ones. In the third chapter I deal with the design of an electronic circuit and with the calculation of control loops. In the fourth chapter I propose firmware for the STM32 MCU, which controls the device and communicates with the superior system. In the last chapter the DC/DC converter is tested.

Комунікація відбувається у напівдуплексному режимі по протоколу Modbus-RTU. Особливістю розробки було використання мікроконтролерів STM32 компанії STmicroelectronix. Додатки містять схему електричну принципову, схему електричну структурну, лістинг програми, перелік компонентів. Робота містить сорок три формули, тридцять чотири посилань, дві друковані плати, три схеми електричні принципові, два програмних коди, дві схеми програми для двох пристроїв. Загальний обсяг пояснювальної записки 149 сторінок.<br>Аs part of the final work, a laboratory digital stand for vibration, humidity and temperature control was developed, which consists of two parts - sensor unit and information collection unit, sensor unit reads vibration acceleration, temperature, humidity readings and sends on request to the information collection unit. Communication takes place in half-duplex mode according to the Modbus- RTU protocol. A feature of the development was the use of STM32 microcontrollers from STmicroelectronix. Applications contain a schematic electrical diagram, electrical structural diagram, program listing, list of components. The work contains forty-three formulas, thirty-four references, two printed circuit boards, three electrical schematics, two program codes, two program diagrams for two devices. The total volume of the explanatory note is 149 pages.

Розроблено комп’ютерну систему, що дає можливість оцифрувати біомедичні сигнали по багатьох каналах і отримати синхронний запис одразу 4х сигналів, як однакової природи (багатоканальний запис ФКГ) так і різної природи, що уможливлює дослідження пов’язаних між собою біомедичних сигналів різноманітними методами. Розроблено алгоритм роботи системи оцінювання характеристик ФКГ сигналів з використанням технології DMA забезпечує максимально можливу швидкість і синхронність АЦП перетворення сигналів.<br>The master's thesis is devoted to the development of methods and means for phonocardiografic signals characteristics evaluation computer system. A review of methods and tools for evaluating the characteristics of phonocardiographic signals to choose the direction of the study. A computer system has been developed that makes it possible to digitize biomedical signals on many channels and obtain synchronous recording of 4 signals at once, both of the same nature (multi-channel FCG recording) and different in nature, which allows the study of related biomedical signals by various methods. This thesis deals with designing and implementing autonomous decoder for RTTY communication. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with researching the RTTY technology and FSK modulation, which it uses, focusing mainly on the methods of demodulation. Next part of the thesis compares suitability of available platforms. Practical part of the thesis describes the design and implementation of circuit board, firmware and computer application. The device is using STM32 microcontroller. Firmware was developed in C++ using Arduino. The computer application was created by using C\# and WPF. 3 methods of FSK demodulations were implmented. One is using a FFT algorithm. Other two calculate frequency based on the period of square signal.

Modern medicinering medför att patienter kan behandlas mer effektivt om den tas pårätt sätt. När patienter själva ansvarar för sin medicinering kan den feldoseras ellerglömmas bort, vilket ändrar förutsättningar för dess inverkan. Glömska kombineradmed sinnesnedsättningar försvårar för patienten att sköta sin medicinering.Lösningen på detta problem är idag utökad hemvård där vårdpersonal hjälper patientenatt ta rätt medicin vid rätt tidpunkt. En teknisk lösning kan vara ett inbyggt systemsom påminner patienten, sparar missade doseringar och kan därmed ge mer informationtill läkare som då kan göra mer välgrundade beslut för fortsatt vård.Resultaten visar att en dosettask kan användas för att påminna patienter att ta sinmedicin och skicka missad dosering med närfältskommunikation. Som mikrokontrolleranvändes en STM32 Nucleo, med en tillståndsmaskin som mjukvarulösning. I vidarestudier kan ett realtidsoperativsystem användas. Systemet programmerades medArduinos utvecklingsmiljö, men ett alternativ är IAR. Projektets prototyp kunde medde flesta modulerna uppnå specifikationens batteritid, utöver ljudmodulen som användes.För att komma fram till detta resultat skapades två teoretiska extremfall därprototypen testades.Dosettasken kan leda till minskat pillersvinn och en lägre kostnad då färre hembesökkrävs. Dessutom resulterar detta i ökad självständighet för patienten. Dessa faktorerleder till att dosettasken bidrar till en ökad hållbar utveckling.<br>Modern medication allows patients to be treated more efficiently if taken properly.When patients themselves are responsible for their medication, it can be wronglydosed or forgotten, which changes the conditions for its effects. Forgetfulness combinedwith impaired senses make it difficult for the patient to take care of his medication.The solution to this problem today is increased home care, where healthcare professionalshelp patients to take the right medication at the right time. A technical solutioncan be an embedded system that reminds the patient, saves missed dosages, and canprovide more information to doctors who can make more informed decisions for furthercare.The results show that a pill dispenser can be used to remind patients to take their medicationand send missed dosages with near field communication. As a microcontroller,a STM32 Nucleo was used, with a state machine as software solution. In further studies,a real-time operating system can be used. The system was programmed with Arduino'sdevelopment environment, but an alternative is IAR. The prototype of the projectcould achieve the specifications battery life with most modules, except to thesound module used. To achieve this result, two theoretical extremes were created inwhich the prototype was tested.The pill dispenser can lead to reduced waste of pills and a lower cost, as fewer homevisits are required. In addition, this results in increased independence for the patient.These factors cause the pill dispenser to contribute to increased sustainable development.

Il lavoro svolto in questa tesi fa parte di un progetto volto alla realizzazione di un sistema per svolgere test di guida di motoveicoli al banco a rulli, gestendo l’intera prova in remoto, ossia dall’esterno della cella. Tale sistema, denominato RideIT, è stato progettato da Alma Automotive per conto della nota casa motociclistica MV Augusta. Tramite il sistema RideIT, è possibile automatizzare la guida di motoveicoli sul banco a rulli, riproducendo via software, tramite un modello che governa degli attuatori, il comportamento del pilota per quel che riguarda gli azionamenti di acceleratore, frizione, cambio e freno durante un test. I vantaggi di questa soluzione riguardano soprattutto la sicurezza degli addetti, che possono effettuare tutte le prove del caso rimanendo al di fuori della sala prove, oltre alla possibilità di incrementare la ripetibilità e la riproducibilità dei risultati dei test, grazie all’eliminazione del fattore di soggettività legato al guidatore. Il sistema nasce con la specifica di poter eseguire test di omologazione al banco a rulli anche se, grazie alla flessibilità che è in grado di garantire, può essere perfettamente riconfigurato, anche in vista di futuri sviluppi del progetto.

This thesis is about construction of a monitoring unit for motor vehicles. The unit is equipped with microcontroller, graphical LCD for displaying all measured values, GPS module and SD card slot. For measuremet of motor RPM, various methods of connecting to the motor are supported. Temperature is measured with few DS18B20 sensors, picking up engine temp, outsider and inside temp. GPS module is for measuring speed and height above MSL. All measured values can be recorded on SD card for future analysis on PC.

Det finns ett behov av att utveckla en sensorlösning som kan bidra JU Solar Team med kördata från körning. Detta för att skapa underlag för mer verklighetstrogna statiska och dynamiska simuleringar av bilen. Arbetet har utförts vid Jönköpings Tekniska Högskola. I studien ingår utförda experiment samt programmering av ett flertal diverse sensorer och kretskort, både individuellt och sammansatt kopplade. Resultatet från arbetet visar att det är möjligt att skapa ett batteridrivet system som kan mäta samt lagra data från accelerometer, gyroskop, luftkvalitetssensor och lastceller oavbrutet under 24 timmar. Systemets kombination av lågt vikt och kompakt storlek gör att det inte stör föraren under tävling och skapar möjlighet att i framtiden bygga in systemet som en permanent del av solbilen. Studien avgränsar sig till att utvärdera möjligheten för att skapa ett konceptsystem som är tänkt att lägga grunden för vidareutveckling av framtida studenter.

The focus of this thesis is development of an electronic subsystem for reduced gravity impact simulator. The research part of this thesis firstly covers methods used for simulation of microgravity or reduced gravity and compares them. Another part of research focuses on three selected potential approaches to creating the electronic subsystem for this device. The second, practical, part of this thesis describes the design and development of the electronic subsystem. The foundation of the electronic subsystem is a control unit which has been developed on the basis of an STMicroelectronics microcontroller. Using the control unit, the electronic subsystem measures pressure, position, acceleration and force in the system. Another task of the control unit is control of a stepper motor. Integration of individual elements into the electronic subsystem is described both in terms of software and hardware. Furthermore, a graphic user interface program for PC has been developed as a means to interact with the system. In the final part of the thesis, the operation of the electronic subsystem is described and lastly, the electronic subsystem is evaluated.

This thesis presents the design and implementation of a multifunctional radar sensor. Utilising microstrip transmission line technology, a front-end receiver has been designed based upon a six-port architecture. Additionally, digital signal processing has been implemented on a microcontroller, enabling processing and extraction of information from the down converted quadrature signals. Results have show that the sensor is capable of operating as both a continuous wave radar and frequency modulated continuous wave radar. Through measurements, it has been established that the sensor is capable of wireless measurements, such as vital signs and vibrations. Furthermore, a graphical user interface has been design, allowing a way of switching between different radar configurations and the presentation of measured data to the user.

This diploma thesis deals with a design and construction of a two-wheeled mobile robot. In order to prepare a high-quality project, a testing carriage has been constructed serving as a basis of useful information for the final design and construction. Beside introduction and conclusion, the diploma thesis consists of four main parts. While the first part of the thesis briefly introduces the field of robotics, the theoretical part focuses both on particular components necessary for the robot's construction as well as the Segway vehicle which served as an inspiration for the robot's functionality. After characteristics of a testing carriage, attention is devoted to individual methods of stabilization, with several different types of sensors being used. Furthermore, the chapter on mechanical design examines choice of devices and their position and provides a scheme for their construction. The electrical design follows afterwards, describing circuits that were considered optimal for the designed wiring. The forth part of the diploma thesis concentrates on the construction of a two-wheeled carriage and covers following topics: construction of mechanical components, production of electric boards, programmatic equipment of the carriage and its implementation, testing of the carriage and finally also an evaluation of achieved results.

Questo elaborato presenta il progetto di una interfaccia per l'aggiunta di sensori inerziali ad un nodo di una WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) �finalizzato al monitoraggio delle frane. Analizzando i vantaggi che avrebbe portato l'utilizzo di ulteriori sensori, si �e cercato di fornire un valido approccio di progettazione; in particolare l'idea �e quella di integrarli con un giroscopio ed un accelerometro aventi applicazioni in altri settori. Con questo particolare utilizzo, essi possono portare ad un miglior monitoraggio riuscendo a rilevare i movimenti in modo dettagliato ed a riconoscere i falsi allarmi. Nell'approccio che si intende suggerire verranno sfruttate schede per la prototipazione rapida, user-friendly e con costi decisamente accessibili, adatte alla sperimentazione elettronica e per lo sviluppo di nuovi dispositivi. Attraverso l'utilizzo di ambienti di sviluppo appositamente creati, si sono simulate le comunicazioni tra nodo e scheda di sensori, mettendo in evidenza i vantaggi ottenuti. Buona parte del progetto ha riguardato la programmazione in linguaggio C/C++, con una particolare attenzione al risparmio energetico.
