Abstract:
Purpose – To summarize revised MSRB Rule G-30, which governs municipal bond dealer fair-pricing obligations. Design/methodology/approach – Discusses background of previous MSRB fair-pricing rules and interpretive guidance. Outlines the basic dealer obligations arising under revised MSRB Rule G-30. Discusses three key aspects of the new rule and recent rulemaking effort: the obligation of dealers to exercise “diligence” in assessing a municipal security’s market value and reasonableness of compensation, the distinction between fair security pricing and reasonable dealer compensation, and previous MSRB guidance that is superseded by the rule change. Also discusses similar rule changes related to fair-pricing, mark-ups, markdowns and commissions that have been proposed by FINRA that would apply to non-municipal securities if adopted. Findings – Revised MSRB Rule G-30 generally preserves existing municipal bond fair-pricing obligations while consolidating obligations that previously existed in multiple MSRB rules and interpretive guidance. Practical implications – The MSRB generally sought to preserve the substance of existing dealer fair-pricing obligations in revised MSRB Rule G-30 but dealers should evaluate their existing compliance frameworks in light of the recent revisions. The recent changes include deletion of prior MSRB Rule G-18 and superseding of certain interpretive guidance. Originality/value – Practical explanation by experienced financial services lawyer.

Abstract:
A. N. Tolstoy’s handwritten notebook of 1909 (Manuscript Department of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskij Dom), Russian Academy of Sciences) contains a draft autograph of "The Poem at Seventeen" (1910) which could be probed as an earlier version of the short story based on Tolstoy’s personal impressions. The draft autograph is published here, using the text from the handwritten notebook. The text includes the plot and the main characters, the young poet, Lyubochka and her father — the antique dealer. They were subsequently made more specifi c and acquired psychological traits.

Abstract:
The current study analyzes the official policies and everyday practices of the youth non-governmental organization System and G, located in Komotini, Greece. Through a combination of Critical Policy Analysis, Interviews and Participatory Observation, this Thesis provides a broad image of the organization’s internal culture, with great emphasis on the relations among its members. The results showed that the organization’s philosophy, causes and corresponding policies have emerged from its founders’ personal life experiences, which motivated them for social offer to people with fewer opportunities, developed through cooperation with other youth workers, equally motivated to help people in need, and changed with the contribution of volunteers – also people with fewer opportunities – with innovative ideas and ambition to bring social change. As a result, an intersectional culture has grown in the organization, which is characterized by diversity, emotional proximity, mutual support and solidarity.             The study also analyzes the organization’s social stratification and power relations, which are characterized by equality among all its members, making trainers and volunteers feel that their voice is heard and appreciated. Therefore, the organization succeeds in the achievement of all forms of organizational justice (procedural, distributive, interactional). What is more, important decision-making within the organization requires the equal participation of trainers and volunteers alike, while when it comes to decisions with an impact on local society, the organization gives its members the opportunity to express their opinion and design social policies through cooperation with local entrepreneurs, politicians and other decision-makers. In this way, organizational and social change are achieved and promoted. The future of the organization includes its members’ ambition to spread the methods and results of non-formal education to other regions and countries, and I consider myself lucky and honored to be part of this effort.

The mirror has always been related to different symbols, usually connected to self-knowledge and truth. This is due to the fact that this object shows whoever looks oneself in it an image as close to reality as it is possible. On the other hand, the mirror is also associated to mysticism and to the supernatural for it can magically duplicate one who looks into it. This ambiguous characteristic turns the mirror into an element that is fantastic in itself and places it in the central position of our discussion. Therefore, in this study, we analyze the texts In a Glass Darkly, by Agatha Christie, The Oval Portrait, by Edgar Allan Poe, and The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde, giving special attention to the study of the images and artificial representations of men: the mirror, as an ephemeral representation; and the portrait, as an attempt to eternize an ephemeral image. We also discuss themes such as jealousy, the double, and death in the several forms in which it appears in the texts: suicides, homicides, attempted murders, death in life (mourning, separation, and developmental phases) all of which are, somehow, related to the specular representations. The narrative resource of using a mirror to introduce the supernatural event, along with the theme of death in all the narratives we have studied, and the difficulty to place these texts within the pre-established genres led us to categorize them as being part of a hybrid genre that presents characteristics both of the fantastic and of the detective story which we have named fantastic-detective story

The present work aimed at the psychoanalytic investigation of Higher Education Professors on school inclusion. It has been methodologically organized for the accomplishment of a collective therapeutic consultation, during which the Procedure of Drawing-Stories with Theme was used as a dialogical mediator in the approach of twelve professors, from Language and Pedagogy degrees, who were in charge of the formation of teachers from primary and secondary courses. The clinical happening allowed the elaboration of a narrative and the production of twelve drawing-stories, originating clinical material which has been analyzed by the psychoanalytic method. Four fields have been collected: his mother's boy , "(un) capacities , "where s Wally? and "the pain and the delicacy". In its set, such fields indicate that teachers suffer when facing the problem of deficiency and the task of including.
O presente trabalho teve como objetivo a investiga??o psicanal?tica de professores do ensino superior sobre inclus?o escolar. Abstract:
Jane G, first appeared as a series in Solidarity, the mouthpiece of the Cape Action League. The series was read by activists in community, student, youth and worker organisations. At the request of readers, the Cape Action League decided to publish the series as a booklet. The book is written in easy English in order for it to be used by workers and their allies as an instrument for active struggle against all forms of oppression and exploitation. The story of Jane G has its roots in the daily experiences of an ordinary black working mother living in South Africa/Azania. She is the mother you meet at the bus stop, meet in the taxi, talk to at the corner shop or prayer meeting. In this series, Jane G’s struggle is typical of the millions of workers suffering a similar fate in our country. Jane speaks of the hardship she faces under the exploitative cycle of earning low wages and paying high rents. The burden of working long hours and paying high prices for basic food in order to look after her family. She finds relief by joining the Clothing Workers’ Union which organises workers at the Rex-Tex factory where she works.

The purpose of this study was to use a psychobiographical method to narrate the creative life stories of Dr. George Leslie MacKay, and to analyze his creativity in life by using a creativity theory called confluence approaches. “From Far Formosa”, the diary of MacKay, supplemented with past literature and biographies written by others were used in this study in order to interpret his personality and life. According to “Creativity in Context” of Amabile, MacKay had three characteristics: a strong motivation to pursue self-fulfillment in religion, specialized knowledge in education and medicine, and a “legislative” cognitive and working style, which was good for creativity and learning across different disciplines. The combination of these three characteristics resulted in the creativity of MacKay and his creativity was shown in the missionary model that he created in Taiwan. In addition, according to the systems approach of Csikszentmihalyi, MacKay was born in the nineteenth century, a century for oversea missionary work in the Christian history, and was born in a religious family who believed in missionary work. With his indefatigable efforts, he successfully became the gatekeeper in the system and further influenced the discipline and culture in northern Taiwan and Canada. MacKay was devoted himself to going beyond boundaries and to integrating resources for missionary work. In the process of expanding his life, his creativity was shown in how he determined his will, and constructed his new self identify. It also interpreted why creativity was courage. Implications for current situations of Taiwan’s society and for future research in studying the careers of indigenous outstanding figures in religion conscience were addressed in the end of this research. Through applying creativity theories to or developing new theories in studying the careers of outstanding figures, it would enrich the literature and methods in psychobiographical research and the study of creativity.

Subject of this paper is a mongolian novel called The Shaman's Story wrote by G. Ayurzana. After an introduction of the history of modern mongolian literature and a short description of the autor's life comes the first chapter about the way the shamanism of Buryats is described in the novel. By comparing parts of the novel and secondary literature I am trying to find, whether and if yes, to what amount is the novel's description close to actual reality. In the next chapter is explained the author's writing style, the structure of the novel and its dynamics. The enclosure includes original and translated transcription of an e-mail corespondation with the author and a czech translation of most of the legends that appear in the novel.

Σκλαβούνος, Παναγιώτης. "Δύο προσεγγίσεις για την έννοια της Πρόθεσης." Thesis, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/10889/5800.

Full text
Abstract:
The “standard story of action” being committed to a broader naturalistic model, understands action as a “particular event”, which is caused by certain mental states. In this context, the causal efficacy of intention is covered by the standard humean model of causality between events. Nevertheless, the story in question substantially fails to give an account for actions as they develop, that is, before the required (by the humean model) individuated event has been formed. That fact has broader effects on the way that the approach in question understands the concept of intention, and ultimately the role of the agent. In this thesis, following mainly on recent papers by Hornsby and Crowther, I argue that we can endorse an alternate approach regarding the ontology of action, as well as intention, that gives more adequate answers to the challenges mentioned above. The main thesis in this context is to recognize “activity” as a constitutional element of action, during which the causal efficacy of the agent remains ongoing, in accordance with an aristotelian type of approach to causality. These commitments result in recognizing intention as guiding action throughout the whole of its development.

Abstract:
The article deals with a novel hybrid two-step group multi-attribute assessment model of stairs shape for two-story individual dwelling houses. There exist many available shapes of stairs for two-story dwelling houses. Selection among shapes and construction of stairs is a multi-attribute decision making problem in nature. It depends on a lot of different conflicting attributes, that have different optimisation direction, different measurement units. A determinated set of the main attributes to assess the alternatives includes the following: Stairwell Area, The Total Area of Climbing, “Climbing Lane" Area, The Cost of Stairs, and Ergonomics. The values of attributes and importance of attributes are determined by grey numbers. The paper presents a novel original hybrid model, which is based on two different multi-attribute decision making methods: ARAS-G (Additive Ratio Assessment) and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process).

Tambora Field reservoir zone is sub-divided into D, E, F and G. Of the four zonation, Tambora G Zone has the lowest recovery factor. Based on this, the current study was intended to have better understanding of the diagenetic processes in low productivity reservoirs and its development strategy in that zone. Reduction of porosity and permeability due to different diagenetic intensity and causes are possible reasons for this condition. A new-improved petrology study was performed to understand the effects of diagenesis and the contribution of clay minerals which has led to worsening reservoir characteristics. In order to achieve better understanding of reservoir characteristics, integrated petrology analysis of petrography, XRD, SEM and CEC were performed. The results of detailed lithofacies analyses show that low productivity related to poor porosity and permeability is primarily caused by mechanical compaction and are worsened by chemical diagenesis related to isolated pore spaces, unconnected pore throats and depositional environment. Those affects the increase of diagenetic quartz-overgrowths, ferroan/iron-bearing and calcareous minerals. The occurrence of these minerals act as a pore-filling cement and are more developed in clean rather than shaly Sandstones. The most dominant diagenetic clay mineral in all lithofacies is recorded as kaolinite, followed by illite, chlorite and illite-smectite with this trend varying relative to depth and lithofacies. The effect of these factors is more intense when burial depth increases, and the depositional environment is increasingly distal as in the G Zone’s northeast area. Referring to this, and in order to minimize the risks of diagenetic minerals causing low productivity, the well placement strategy is addressed to the south and northwest compared to the northeast area. The proven result of applying this approach is the success story of drilling the TM-132 northwest well in 2019 that reached an initial gas rate production of around 3 MMscfd.

Abstract:
Interpretation by means of retelling a story is an ordinary event in human life. However, under abnormal circumstances, e. g. delusions of the narrator, this process is altered and even distorted to various degrees in both qualitative and quantitative aspects. In such cases, the assumption of misrepresentation of the actual story emerges as most striking as it is in contradiction with the objective reality. In the current paper, I will focus on the discourse features in the narratives of patients with the Kandinsky-Clérambault syndrome since it provides some of the best cases that serve to support the main focus of my search, i.e. establishing to what degree we can believe the subjective interpretative narratives of mentally ill patients. This perspective, on its own, has given rise to some doubts in psychiatry as objective science. Our hypothesis is that there are clear-cut features of delusion, which can be outlined by linguistic analysis irrespective of the cultural belonging of the patient and described following the method of the omnipotence of language as a tool of semiotics. For our purpose, additional aspects of the problem will be developed in detail, such as the semantic levels in narration in general and outlined concepts of schizophrenia and delusion transparent in discourse carried out in any language.
