This research paper responds to the contemporary calls made by theorists Jean Baudrillard and Marshall McLuhan to interrogate media with art to act as a respite from the ego trance of what McLuhan called, Narcissus-narcosis. Baudrillard’s and McLuhan’s criticisms contextualise art as respite from media, whereby art can show the charm of a strange world to relieve the deceiving, deluding nature of media. The central question of inquiry is whether Australia has been -the lucky country- for Greek migrants after approximately fifty years of living in Australia. Abstract:

The thesis deals with the relationship between two main politicians of Henlein´s party who significantly participated in destruction of democratic Czechoslovakia at the end of the thirties in 20th century. They are a leader of Sudeten German party Konrad Henlein and his deputy Karl Hermann Frank. The thesis focuses on the events, actions and activities done before World War II by those two assistants of Adolf Hitler and also on the relationships between them. The major part of this thesis discusses the cooperation and relationship between these two Nazi politicians.

The study "Democrat Petr Zenkl (from teaching to the exile)" is a complex political monography of one of the most important Czechoslovak politicians, PhDr. Petr Zenkl. It focuses on his resistance to the rule of Austria-Hungary, his early activities and the beginnings of his political career, his municipal work in Prague, his participation in the governments of the First and Third Czechoslovak republic, his career in the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party and his leading role among anti-comunist exiles in the USA during the Cold War.
