Abstract:
This paper is a rhetorical study of a single verse of the Qur’an. Which is the verse of debts. It is the longest verse of the Qura'n. It contains many splendid rules and great values. that this verse is one of the most Comprehensive verses of the Qur’an. It makes the life of people more organised and ensures a good destiny in the hereafter. Allah exalted has emphasised good treatment which is the main aspect of Islam and its pillar. He overstated the recommendation to maintain halal money and the methods which need to be taken to keep it safe from being destroyed. Therefore, it includes forms of assertions. The paper shows that this verse contains more than twenty rhetorical methods as follows:

 1. In intents and purposes for which the predicate is delivered, one example is included.
 2. In how the speaker delivers the predicate to the addressee it included six examples.
 3. In construction and its divisions it has more than ten examples.
 4. It includes six examples of Commemoration.
 5. It Includes nine examples of deletion.
 6. It Includes one example of fronting.
 7. It includes one example of masquerade
 8. It Includes one example of restriction.
 9. It Includes few examples of changing the topic.
 10. It Includes one example of replacing the implicit with the explicit.
 11. It Includes five examples of brevity.
 12. It Includes few examples of redundancy.
 13. It Includes one example of simile.
 14. It Includes two examples of allegory.
 15. It Includes one example of metaphor.
 16. It Includes one example of Metonymy.
 17. It Includes two examples of antithesis.
 18. It Includes one example of combining two things onwards in one thing.
 19. It Includes one example of good conclusion.
 20. It Includes one example of rhymed proses.
 21. It Includes six examples of paronomasia.

All these rhetorical aspects indicate the inimitability of the Quran and it is from Allah which no other speeches can be equal to it due to its altitude, perfection and beauty.

Abstract:
AbstractDesign fixation is a factor that negatively influences the generation of novel design concepts (Jansson & Smith, 1991). When designers fixate, they tend to reproduce example features or features from their initial ideas. In order to mitigate design fixation, it is crucial to identify the factors that influence the extent of design fixation. This paper investigates two such factors: the modality of examples and the familiarity of designers with the example features. To investigate this, an experiment is conducted with mechanical engineering students who were asked to generate ideas to solve a peanut sheller design problem. The students generated ideas in five different experimental conditions: control, where no example was given; the first example given in a sketch form; the first example given as a nonfunctional prototype; a second example in sketch form; and the second example in a working prototype form. The first example was a nonfeasible solution, but it contained several features familiar to the participants. The second example was a feasible solution, but it contained less familiar features. In order to understand the extent of fixation triggered by the examples, three metrics were utilized to compare across the experimental conditions: the quantity of nonredundant ideas generated by the participants, the presence of example features in their solutions, and their fixation to the example's energy source. The results showed that in the case of the familiar example, the example modality did play an important role in the extent of design fixation. Across the examples, it was found that the first example containing several familiar features caused more fixation than the second one. Overall, this paper shows that the modality in which the example was communicated and the presence of familiar features in an example influenced the fixation caused by those examples.

Abstract:
AbstractScholars have been particularly hampered in their explanations and understanding of Asian security because they often learn little about Asia in their graduate training. The international relations (IR) literature draws an overwhelming proportion of its empirical source material from the European historical experience. We show that the curricula and training that graduate students of international relations receive in the United States are overwhelmingly focused on European examples. In short, the median American scholar of IR is deeply comfortable with European examples and analogies and has almost no exposure to Asian examples and history. Thus, when faced with Asian examples, they are considered within the context they are taught: through the European lens. We conclude with a call for greater attention to the empirical reality that is Asia.

Abstract:
AbstractMathematical optimization is at the algorithmic core of machine learning. Almost any known algorithm for solving mathematical optimization problems has been applied in machine learning and the machine learning community itself is actively designing and implementing new algorithms for specific problems. These implementations have to be made available to machine learning practitioners which is mostly accomplished by distributing them as standalone software. Successful well-engineered implementations are collected in machine learning toolboxes that provide a more uniform access to the different solvers. A disadvantage of the toolbox approach is a lack of flexibility as toolboxes only provide access to a fixed set of machine learning models that cannot be modified. This can be a problem for the typical machine learning workflow that iterates the process of modeling, solving and validating. If a model does not perform well on validation data, it needs to be modified. In most cases these modifications require a new solver for the entailed optimization problems. Optimization frameworks that combine a modeling language for specifying optimization problems with a solver are better suited to the iterative workflow since they allow to address large problem classes. Here, we provide examples of the use of optimization frameworks in machine learning. We also illustrate the use of one such framework in a case study that follows the typical machine learning workflow.

Abstract:
In this study, I investigated the effects of four score study styles—-no score study, study with score alone, study with score and correct aural example, and score study at the keyboard—on the pitch and rhythm error-detection abilities of beginning conducting students. Four computer-assisted tests were developed, each with 31 examples using sampled sounds and ranging from one to eight parts. A counterbalanced design was used to control for effects of presentation order as to score study style and individual test. Score study with a correct aural example was found to be significantly more effective than study with the score alone. No significant difference was found between score study at the keyboard and any other score study style. There were significant differences in test scores attributable to the number of parts in examples. Generally, error detection became more difficult as the number of parts increased.

Abstract:
Laser-Ultrasonics (LUS) provides a means of obtaining microstructure information continuously and non-destructively both in the laboratory and for quality control on-line in industry. Ultrasound is both generated and recorded using lasers which permits remote, non-contact operation with fast sampling and also the capability of working at high temperatures or at moving surfaces, for example during industrial continuous annealing. Examples of dynamic heating trials will be presented for samples of cold rolled steel sheets where primary recrystallisation and ferrite austenite transformation are monitored in-situ as a function of temperature. Examples are also presented where the grain size of low carbon steels have been quantitatively analysed and show very good agreement with microscopy methods.

Abstract:
This study deals with a seemingly obvious topic to everyone – examples. Yet, on a closer perusal, the topic turns out to be interestingly perplexed. This can be justified by the amalgam of cognition and communication out of which such concept is delivered. This mixture gives a hand in texturizing examples. This work aims at pragmatically investigating the concept of ‘example’ as far as its definition, structure, types and functions are concerned. Furthermore, it aims at developing an eclectic model that will be utilized to pragmatically analyze the data of the work represented by four interviews with Donald Trump in 2018. Consequently, it hypothesizes the following: complex schema is more frequently used in the data; abductive inference is never employed in the data; faulty analogy is never made in the data; the interpersonal variant of the global type of examples is more frequently found in the data; explicit examples are more commonly given; and, finally, the argumentative function of examples prevails. Afterwards, the percentage equation is employed to statistically calculate the results of the analysis.
The study has come up with many conclusions, out of which is that examples, once chosen meticulously, support the cogency of argumentation by means of strengthening and boosting one’s standpoints towards the alleged goals.

Different methodological tools were applied in a case study on interpretation of read-out speeches: A comparison of the 3 source texts used showed considerable differences between the „objective“ text description using quantifiable parameters and the „subjec-tive“ evaluation of the same speeches by the 12 participating interpreters. Incorrect rendition or omission of proper names/numbers was reduced by the use of the manuscript in the booth, while overall omissions/errors were highly variable between subjects. In a process-oriented approach, the relationship between use of manuscript, timelag and long omissions was studied and resulted in a series of new questions to be investigated. Finally, lexical variability proved surprisingly high with only 6.6% of words being used by all interpreters. Strengths and weaknesses of the different methodological tools will be discussed and proposals made for further research in the field.

Abstract:
This article examines whether studying correct versus incorrect examples produces differential learning. A prediction that follows from behaviourism is that learning should be best from studying correct examples. A contrasting prediction is that incorrect examples can highlight a concept’s properties that are missing in the example, and thereby enable concept learning. We test these ideas across two experiments, wherein subjects were shown hypothetical study scenarios and were asked to determine whether each was a true experiment. In Experiment 1, some subjects were only presented correct examples, some were only presented incorrect examples, and others were presented both. In addition, example type was crossed with feedback type: Some subjects were given explanatory feedback and some were not given any feedback; a control condition was also included, wherein subjects were not shown any study scenarios. All subjects completed a posttest involving novel scenarios; some questions asked subjects to indicate whether they were true experiments (classification questions), and some asked them to specify what was lacking in the design or to indicate how it could be fixed (application questions). Experiment 2 used a similar design, but compared explanatory feedback with corrective feedback. In both experiments, as long as some form of feedback was provided, subjects in the mixed example condition achieved the best classification performance. Furthermore, subjects in the incorrect and mixed example conditions performed best on application questions, particularly when explanatory feedback was provided. These findings offer insights into the mechanisms that might underlie learning from incorrect examples.

We examine the chiral algebras of quotient superconformal theories by studying two examples: the SO(n) HSS models and the models based on the SU (n) group. We study the automorphism group which identifies fields in each model, and its fixed-point fields. We calculate the Poincare polynomial for the SU (n) example, see whether there are duality relations and find new Landau-Ginzburg scalar theories. For the second example we explain how to calculate the number of fields in the algebra and show a duality relation by giving the duality map explicitly.

Abstract:

Argumentation is today a topical area of artificial intelligence (AI) research. Abstract argumentation, with argumentation frameworks (AFs) as the underlying knowledge representation formalism, is a central viewpoint to argumentation in AI. Indeed, from the perspective of AI and computer science, understanding computational and representational aspects of AFs is key in the study of argumentation.
Realizability of AFs has been recently proposed as a central notion for analyzing the expressive power of AFs under different semantics. In this work, we propose and study the AF synthesis problem as a natural extension of realizability, addressing some of the shortcomings arising from the relatively stringent definition of realizability. In particular, realizability gives means of establishing exact conditions on when a given collection of subsets of arguments has an AF with exactly the given collection as its set of extensions under a specific argumentation semantics. However, in various settings within the study of dynamics of argumentation---including revision and aggregation of AFs---non-realizability can naturally occur. To accommodate such settings, our notion of AF synthesis seeks to construct, or synthesize, AFs that are semantically closest to the knowledge at hand even when no AFs exactly representing the knowledge exist. Going beyond defining the AF synthesis problem, we study both theoretical and practical aspects of the problem. In particular, we (i) prove NP-completeness of AF synthesis under several semantics, (ii) study basic properties of the problem in relation to realizability, (iii) develop algorithmic solutions to NP-hard AF synthesis using the constraint optimization paradigms of maximum satisfiability and answer set programming, (iv) empirically evaluate our algorithms on different forms of AF synthesis instances, as well as (v) discuss variants and generalizations of AF synthesis.

Abstract:
Orientation microscopy in TEM and SEM is a particularly well suited tool to study recrystallisation processes because these are always associated with orientation and microstructure changes. The present work discusses the possibilities and limits of the TEM and SEM based techniques and illustrates their use by means of 3 different examples. The examples include studies on nucleation mechanisms of primary recrystallisation where the techniques meet their limits in spatial resolution. The problem of in-situ observations of annealing processes is discussed and it is shown how recrystallisation simulation techniques based on experimental data may be used. Furthermore the new technique of 3-dimensional EBSD in a focused-ion-beam (FIB) SEM is presented with one example. Finally, the statistical analysis of very large orientation data sets is discussed by an example of secondary recrystallisation in electrical steels.

Then we discuss nonsplintering, an interesting notion that appears in the work of Rami Grossberg, Andrés Villaveces and Monica VanDieren, and we show that it is not trivial (in the sense that it can be different than splitting) whenever the directionality of the theory is not small. In the appendix we study dense types in RCF.

Abstract:
Culture is all of the unique, material and spiritual values that distinguish societies formed as a result of historical accumulation. Values such as customs and traditions nurtured by cultures have shaped the dress codes of societies. Turks, who have a rich culture, have their own traditional clothes. The aim of this study is to deal with the historical dimension of the shalwar which has always played an important role in the life of the Turkish nation with a long history, and which has a place among the traditional clothes. Shalwars contain the cultural and spiritual values of the society. Since this cultural heritage is in danger of extinction in the future, it is important to research, document, preserve and keep alive the material cultural assets without losing these values completely. In the study, a literature review was made on the definition, history, and current status of shalwar. Among the examples of shalwars which have survived to the present day and are few in boxes and museums, two shalwar samples in Kırşehir Province Museum were included in the study. The shalwars were examined through observation slips prepared according to their characteristics. Combining the information obtained with today's trends, one shalwar was sewn. It is thought that this study will contribute to the survival of the shalwar, which is an important part of the Turkish clothing culture. Key words: Turkish culture, Shalwar, Traditional clothing, Kırşehir Region Shalwars

Abstract:
Several instrumental developments to examine the spectroscopic response of molecularly thin fluids confined between mica sheets are described. They are predicated on using a redesigned surface forces apparatus where dielectric coatings, transparent to light at needed optical wavelengths, retain the ability to measure interferometric thickness at other optical wavelengths. Examples of recent measurements are presented using confocal laser Raman spectroscopy to evaluate how molecules orient as well as to perform chemical imaging. Other examples are presented using confocal fluorescence recovery after photobleaching to evaluate translational diffusion of confined polymer melts. The advantage of separating the mechanical average (force and friction) from direct information about structure and mobility at the molecular level is stressed.

Abstract:
Adversarial examples are theorized to exist for every type of neural network application. Adversarial examples have been proven to exist in neural networks for visual-spectrum applications and that they are highly transferable between such neural network applications. In this paper, we study the existence of adversarial examples for Infrared neural networks that are applicable to military and surveillance applications. This paper specifically studies the effectiveness of adversarial attacks against neural networks trained on simulated Infrared imagery and the effectiveness of adversarial training. Our research demonstrates the effectiveness of adversarial attacks on neural networks trained on Infrared imagery, something that hasn’t been shown in prior works. Our research shows that an increase in accuracy was shown in both adversarial and unperturbed Infrared images after adversarial training. Adversarial training optimized for the L∞ norm leads to an increase in performance against both adversarial and non-adversarial targets.
