Abstract:
The public health service in Brazil provides a poor and not effective service for the people, which in many cases, opting for private health plans. The sector is regulated by the National Agency of Health imposing rigid rules for the operation of operators, increasing the demands on the number of procedures required by the plans, but the adjustments of monthly, when released, did not accompany the growth in costs. In order to investigate strategies that could contribute to cost reduction in operating health plans, maintaining or even improving the quality of services within a qualitative methodology of study of single cases, the data collection instrument and semi -structured, in addition to the literature and documents. The analysis of indicators of the study showed that the main strategies for reducing the costs of operators are using the tertiary preventive medicine, called Home care and the coparcenary users with value added to the tuition when using examinations and consultations. It can be concluded that the analysis of strategies applied to operators of health plans, with positive results.

Abstract:

To be able to have control over the maintenance with today’s advanced fighter airplanes a durable system for technical publications is a must. This thesis is focused on problem areas when implementing PumaX for developing the maintenance plan for the Gripen fighter. Experience with PumaX as a tool exists and these have been analyzed to define specific problem areas. Because of too great extent four items were selected – customization, faulty data, quality assurance and serial status. Through examination of previous experiences theoretical solution suggestions has been developed. Schematics for corrective actions and a separate application were done to take care of the customization. In the application it was revealed that possible faulty data could also be corrected. An already existing web application within SAAB could be used for the review process. In this way any document in PumaX is quality assured and no new application has to be introduced for the task. After an analysis of how the serial status concept could be implemented it was revealed that not all functions in PumaX could be used when applying the serial status.

Abstract:
The Swedish school, or more precisely, the school results of Swedish pupils, is a topic widely discussed in media, the newspapers and among teachers and parents. Everyone seems concerned about the knowledge requirements and there are many discussions about how to change the negative spiral. With the change of national study plans from the earlier Lpo94 to today´s Lgr11, many questions have arisen about how to plan and evaluate teaching. Against this background, the aim of this essay is to verify what influence the new national study plan has had on Spanish teaching, the study books in Spanish and evaluation in upper secondary school in the communities of Skövde and Mariestad. Our focus is delimited to the five competences of a language: listen, read, write, speak and communicate. In this essay we part from four hipotheses. In the first place, we believe that the national study plans, Lpo94 and Lgr11, are very similar, but that there is a greater focus on the competence of communication in Lgr11. In the second place, we believe that the tests in the teacher´s guides are more or less adapted to the five competences depending on if they were published before or after the change of national study plans. Our hipothesis is that the newer tests are more adapted to the competences than the older ones. In the third place, we believe that some teachers have adapted (more or less) to the new system and that others have not. In the fourth place, our hipothesis is that those teachers who have adapted to the new system, evaluate all the five competences, with greater frequency and also make their own material to a greater extent than others. The method used in this essay is a comparison between the national study plans and the Spanish teacher´s guides. We have also made surveys among the teachers in the communities of Mariestad and Skövde. The results of our study show that there is a high similarity between the national study plans, but that there is a greater focus on communication in Lgr11 when it comes to knowledge requirements. The tests in the teacher´s guides differ a lot, and not many of them have been republished since the system change. Interestingly, there is only one of the teacher´s guides with tests that correspond to all five competences, and it is a book published before Lgr11. Furthermore, the teachers in our study respond differently on how they believe that they have adapted to the new system. Half of them think that they ii have made no changes at all, but the results show, surprisingly, that all the teachers evaluate the five competences of a language and there is also a tendency to evaluate the pupils more often than before. It seems like the new national study plan has had an impact on all the teachers in our study.

Walker, Michelle. "Tenoroc State Recreation Area: a conceptual master plan study." Thesis, Virginia Tech, 1993. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/42240.

Full text
Abstract:
Reclamation has been required since the mid-1970s in Florida and many other states that mine land for phosphate. While often controversial, land reclamation has involved a variety of technologies and regulations which often reflect the complexity of economical ecological and political forces involved in the decision-making process. Most often reclamation procedures are dictated by economic constraints and less often by environmental concerns. In 1982, Borden, inc. donated a 6.040 7 acre abandoned phosphate mine, located within Polk County In Central Florida, to the State of Florida. In 1989, the site was designated by the State of Florida as a state recreation area known today as Tenoroc State Recreation Area. The Area currently provides facilities for hiking, picnicking, and horseback riding with a particular emphasis on quality fishing within its manmade lakes. lt is the intent of the state to integrate land reclamation functions with the recreational potentials of the site thus providing a public use area that will generate support revenue (Scruggs 1992). The primary difference between the reclamation activities at Tenoroc and those reclamation activities of today is the lack of a conceptual plan. For the most part reclamation at Tenoroc has been planned as stand-alone projects with minimal foresight of the needs for future recreational uses, drainage patterns, or continuing reclamation activities. At this point a conceptual master plan is needed to integrate hydrological and land reclamation functions with the recreational potentials of the site into a framework for future management and development of Tenoroc. The goals and objectives of this study are as follows 1 To produce a plan for the restoration of Tenoroc State Recreation Area which will address the reclamation of natural systems with an emphasis on wildlife habitat and landscape diversity. 2 To provide for safety and recreation of visitors and staff, and 3. To develop a plan for a unique, educational and recreational experience that will fulfill the objectives of the Florida Department of Natural Resources. The process of reclamation starts the moment man begins to explore the earth for its minerals. Since mining is here to stay reclamation should be looked upon as a continuation of succession of the landscape, rather than repair of a damaged landscape. By approaching reclamation holistically, as just another step in the mining process; through proper planning, management and program, the strife for achieving a balance between our quality of life and our sustainability become that much more of a reality.

Kashi, Mohsen Gholam-Reza. "A performance analysis of the hi-plan structural apparatus." Thesis, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, 1985. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/50031.

Full text
Abstract:
Visual experience is a powerful pedagogic tool. Extensive use of experimental studies prior to design and construction has made conceptualization of complex structures possible. Experiments on reduced-scale structures and specimens are also vital tools for teaching structural mechanics. As such, the Department of Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech has acquired a new apparatus for use as an educational demonstration tool in the area of structural mechanics. This work presents the results of a detailed study on the performance of this device as related to its accuracy and operation. To fulfill such objectives, two structural models (a continuous beam and a portal frame) were extensively tested under several loading and support configurations. The models were analysed using STRUDL as well as a computer program developed by the author. The comparison of the results (deformations) obtained in the two phases of the study have indicated that the apparatus is reasonably accurate to meet the requirements of a structural teaching model and adapting to a variety of structural models.

Bin, Sultan Abdalla Abdelrahman Yousif Ali. "An assessment of excellence in formulating strategic plan : a case study of Dubai government's strategic plan, United Arab Emirates." Thesis, University of Derby, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/10545/313132.

Full text
Abstract:
RADAR is an excellence self-assessment tool which is commonly used to assess results and approaches in excellence models. It could also be used successfully in assessing the strategy formulation process in Dubai' s government. The Thesis is a qualitative research that deploys a case study approach to understand the role of RADAR techniques and practices, and how these can be used in assessing the Dubai Governement 's strategy formulation process, focusing on the justice and security sectors in general and the Dubai Police Force in particular. The researcher always attempts to answer particular questions about why and how RADAR informs and helps in assessing and controlling the strategy formulation process. The study obtained valid information from semi-structured interviews with 17 senior and middle government, security and Police staff members working in the Dubai Police Force, Civil Defense and Immigration Departments. Generally, the findings indicated that: Firstly, RADAR can be used successfully in these researched organisations and can be seen to be important in security assessment function when taking into consideration the cultural aspects of Dubai which are based on Arab and Islamic cultural values. Secondly, the strategy formulation process in Dubai Governement is affected widely by Islamic and Arab culture. Thirdly, the definition of 'citizen' is very complex as Dubai is a cosmopolitan city. This makes it difficult to cater to the stakeholders' needs in the strategy formulation process due to the diversity of the cultures of the different nationalities. Fourthly, the bureaucratic nature of managers in the public sector makes it difficult to deploy the excellence self-assessment tools as they tend to believe that assessment is merely criticism rather than that it supports continuous improvement. Finally, the leadership of Dubai Governement plays a crucial role in leading the strategic thinking and quality drive in both public and private sectors. The leadership vision is to cater to the cultural needs of the different nationalities living in Dubai and translate them into sound strategies.

Hamilton, Leah W. "Project study: An action plan for implementing Response to Intervention." ScholarWorks, 2010. https://scholarworks.waldenu.edu/dissertations/834.

Full text
Abstract:
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 allows schools to utilize response to intervention (RtI) as early intervention to prevent at-risk students from becoming labeled as learning disabled. Using action research methodology and school change theory, the purpose of this project study was to determine the RtI implementation needs of a rural elementary school (LE). The guiding research question was to identify the components of an RtI framework currently being utilized during the pre-referral process at LE. This study employed a qualitative method triangulation design to analyze data from key stakeholders including questionnaires; individual interviews from six reading teachers, one reading interventionist, and one special education teacher; and campus documents analysis. Analysis included data transformation of frequency statistics from surveys and coded data from open-ended questionnaire responses, individual interviews, and document analysis. These data were triangulated revealing the current level of practice in collaboration, data-based decision making, parent involvement, professional development, and implementation monitoring. Findings indicated utilization of several RtI components inconsistently across grade levels and subjects. As a result, an RtI action plan was developed including a description of RtI background, identification of current levels of practice, implementation steps including timetable, and an RtI glossary. This resource has the potential to aid other districts by providing an implementation plan that could be adapted to their campus needs. This study promotes positive social change by identifying an effective implementation process for a unified service delivery model at LE resulting in improving the education of all students.

Duncan, Susan Mae. "Evaluating an Assessment Instrument for the Oregon Environmental Literacy Plan." PDXScholar, 2016. http://pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/open_access_etds/2947.

Full text
Abstract:
This mixed methods study evaluated the validity, and reliability of an instrument designed to assess a middle school student's proficiency in systems thinking as described in the 2010 Oregon Environmental Literacy Plan. In Stage 1, a forum of middle school students, formal, and non-formal educators used the Delphi technique to reach consensus regarding which skills were important to include in a scoring guide for systems thinking. In Stage 2, the scoring guide was field tested by formal and non-formal educators using a sample of students' work. The two groups' scores were compared using Cohen's kappa to make inferences regarding inter-rater reliability. Concurrently, an autoethnographic narrative was written to explore issues of equity related to the assessment of environmental literacy. The commonalities between formal and non-formal educators revealed a high level of validity for the construct of proficiency with systems thinking, and a moderate level of reliability between the scores assigned by two groups of educators. In the words of the middle school students, formal, and non-formal educators, who volunteered to create the scoring guide, the ability to make responsible decisions with natural systems, community, and the future in mind involves: creating solutions for systems that are not in balance, presenting the complex inner workings of a system in a simple and succinct way, collaborating, exploring multiple solutions, and sharing ideas in a way that people will understand you.

Swaziland is enjoying low import prices from the Southern African Power Pool, unfortunately, recent events took place that should act as warning. An example of these events include the politically motivated sabotage of a 1,360 km HVDC power link to South Africa which took place during the civil war in Mozambique that interrupted supply for about 17 years. Alternatives identification for supply of electricity is an urgent route to pursue if energy security is regarded fundamental. Plans to find alternatives have been initiated through a proposed domestic 300 MW coal fired power plant. This paper performs a feasibility assessment by evaluating technical, economic and external aspects of the alternative plans. Neighboring South Africa’s projected LCOE by the International Energy Agency were adjusted and then used to estimate Swaziland’s LCOE. Adjustments used Swaziland’s inflation rate, interest rate, gross domestic product per capita, human development index, consumer price index, labor average wage and external cost. Findings from the study demonstrate that Swaziland may have potential regarding the technical feasibility of establishing the coal-fired power plant. The economic feasibility results reveal savings of about US$56,961,900 if the country pursues the plans ignoring external costs. The study also demonstrated that in an estimated 5 year period of electricity shortage from not building the plant, energy insecurity in the form of electricity shortage costs outweigh the estimated benefits. Using the results from this study, two kinds of working recommendations include short term goal of using coal for electricity generation and a long term goal of searching for more alternatives, especially those that are environmentally friendly like biomass. In line with policy measures, recommendations focus is on coordinated planning and development, integrated sustainable energy generation, demand-side management, price-oriented and systems improvement, and cost-reflective tariffs. Additional suggestions are related to future research work, towards studying factors that were appeared as important. This could be pursued in order to further develop the plans of increased domestic electricity generation.

Full text
Abstract:
In this thesis, a monitoring system is designed and implemented for the Community Development Plan for the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia. The literature review first provides the context for plan monitoring by showing that the complexity of urban systems necessitates a continuous planning process, i.e. a cyclical or iterative linking of decision-making, implementation and monitoring in order that planning can adapt to changing community goals, issues, and trends. The role of monitoring in this continuous planning process is initially reviewed in terms of systems feedback and control. However, the complexity of urban systems suggests that concentrating on the goals and objectives of a plan provides too narrow a perspective for monitoring. An expanded role for plan monitoring, one that also addresses assumptions, policies, decisions and issues of concern, is reviewed in the context of a general monitoring system model. This model incorporates four sub-systems: information collection; technical evaluation; provision of advice; and monitoring system improvement. The case study is conducted in three stages: first, a monitoring system based on the four function model is designed for the Mount Pleasant Plan; second, monitoring systems requirements are specified for one section of the Plan, the Mount Pleasant industrial area strategy; and third, data are collected and analyzed for the still more specific policy to maintain existing residential use in the industrial area.

The purpose of this study is to examine (1)the relation between pension plan and entity characters, (2)the information contentof pension assets and liabilities, and (3)managers'' possible manipulation of estimated pension liabilities. To mitigate theconfounding factors due to firms in different industries, only banks in Taiwan from 1996 to 1997 are included. The primaryfindings are as follows:(1)Owing to possible strategic consideration, large and private banks, which are listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange tend to havepension plans more advantageous to bank employees.(2)Although pension items, VBO and PBO, have information contents, the results suggest that they are seriously manipulated bybank management. More important, related pension assets and liabilities without being recognized in balance sheet are very useful to financial statements users.(3)The magnitude of pension liabilities are unexpectedly not corralated to some important actuary assumptions such as discountrate, mean salaries, and rate of increase in compensation. It implies possible manipulation of pension information by bank management.

In this paper, we focus our attention on sample size for destructive inspection and use ML-II to estimate the upper limit of the Prior pdf for desfective rate of populaton. After that, we consider inspection cost and losses of sampling error and we use Bayesian estimation method for expected total losses. Applying computerized numerical analysis method, we can find out the optimal sample size to minimize the total losses. Furthermore, we use the concept of sequential sampling, then we draw a sample, and inspect it in each sequential observation to determine whether to stop sampling and then making decision or not, to construct the decision chart of sequential sampling. In order to test and verify whether the Bayesian sequential sampling plan is superior to classical sequential sampling plan, we proposed a numerical example to carry on the comparison. Finally, we derived the concrete conclusions for future studies and practical applications.

Abstract:
The Mogale’s Gate Biodiversity Centre is a 3 060 ha reserve located within the Gauteng province. The area comprises grassland with woodland patches in valleys and lower-lying areas. To develop a scientifically based management plan a detailed vegetation study was undertaken to identify and describe the different ecosystems present. From a TWINSPAN classification twelve plant communities, which can be grouped into nine major communities, were identified. A classification and description of the plant communities, as well as, a management plan are presented. The area comprises 80% grassland and 20% woodland with 109 different plant families. The centre has a grazing capacity of 5.7 ha/LSU with a moderate to good veld condition. From the results of this study it is clear that the area makes a significant contribution towards carbon storage with a total of 0.520 tC/ha/yr stored in all the plant communities.

This study aims to evaluate the “Rural Rejuvenation Plan” implemented by the rural rejuvenation communities in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The study used mixed methods to evaluate the program by evaluating the plan quality of the community rejuvenation plan and the conformance of plan implementation. First, plan quality was examined by coding the content of the plan and compare with the progam goals to evaluate its quality and community performace. Second, descriptive statitics were used to evaluate the conformace of plan implementation. Finally, this study examined the factors that influence plan implementation through direct observations and in-depth interviews with the stakeholders. The study found that (1) the communities’ Rural Rejuvenation Plans were written based on the guildelines of the Rural Rejuvenation Act. The plan focused on economic development and put less emphasis on the social dimensions of the rejuvenation, including the community organizations and the residents’ sense of belonging. (2) Plan quality did not affect plan implemtation, which means communities’ certain needs were different from their annual implementation projects. (3) Factors affected plan implementation came from both internally and externally. Internal factors included: the mixmatch between plan and actual needs, the level of residents’ participation, the copmplexity of land tenure in the rural area, the continuaity of community leaderships, the lack of financial and planning knowledge.External factors contended: administrative loadings, strick project specifications, instutional arranegemnts and coordination, and resource allocations from the program administration offices. The results of this study wish to provide empirical evaluation results for the Rural Rejuvenation and offer recommendations for the policy makers and planners to manage the performace of Rural Rejuvenation policy.

ABSTRACT Following the economics’ rapid gross and the population’s concentration toward to the city, the construction volume has been substantially increased. According to the rules specified in the “Public Works’ Quality Control Regulations” issued by the Public Works Engineering Committee of the Executive Yuan, the construction organizations should have a decent Construction Planning for the contractors to perform their construction quality control in order to guarantee the construction quality. However, the Committee’s regulations only emphasize in the “Quality Control” issue, and not include those items such as the construction’s completion date, cost, healthy/security, environment impact, and etc. Because of this reason, this study is to gather the construction and management planning requirements, the rules and regulations, and in accordance with the five major goals (i.e., Quality as anticipated; Completion as proposed; Cost as estimated; Safety as expected; and Environment Impact as demanded) as the base to come up its Construction Planning’s major items. It is trying to make the Construction Planning’s document regularized and standardized, and to establish the Construction Planning’s editing procedure for the planner to follow for that they will come up an appropriate “Construction Planning”. It is hoping that from the accomplishment of this “Construction Management Planning” study, it will offer the help to the construction management organizations to fulfill and accomplish their construction work.

This study tries to investigate whether the active investment strategy of 401(k) plans is more efficient than the passive investment strategy. Prior literature has documented some problems of behavioral bias in 401(k) plans. We argue that the existence of the behavioral bias will lead the irrational investment decision, and therefore a weak plan efficiency can be observed. We collect 2,688 401(k) plans and examine the relationship between the plan efficiency and plan characteristics. We empirically find that only 0.3% of plans can outperform market portfolios, indicating the active investment strategies of most 401(k) plans are not efficient. In addition, we find the plan efficiency is positively associated with the proportion of the company stock holding to total investments of a plan. However, the choice of trustees or the size of the investment menu has no significant effect on the plan efficiency.

The rapid development of technology makes smartphones become more powerful and smartphones start to be considered as compact computers. In addition, an enormous number of applications for smartphones are developed, which further contributes to growth of the usage of the mobile devices. Therefore, the service of data plan on smartphones seems to be necessity nowadays. However, the increased traffic is a threat instead of an opportunity to the providers’ revenue. Hence, adjusting the data plan become one of methods that provider can adopt to increase and manage the revenue efficiently. The research focuses on constructing a pricing model of different data plans which maximizes the profit for a provider. We assume that the provider only provides two kinds of data plan which charges customers fee by “fixed-fee” and “usage-based”. Moreover, we take customers’ reservation price for data service and usage into consideration when formulating the customers’ utility function, and then adopt Individually Rational Constraints and Incentive Compatibility Constraint to build the pricing model. The provider can derive the optimal pricing decisions by the pricing model. Further, through the numerical studies, the research summarizes that the provider can properly distinguish the service level of each data plan to achieve the market segmentation and gain more consumer surplus.

Wanhua is the first city in northern Taiwan, after a century of elegant and prosperous, it has been transformed into the district with the minimum of income, living area, and the highest health costs. Wanhua, is different from the Taipei district or other tourist attractions. Wanhua is full of history and culture, without the introduction and lead by local people, it is difficult to feel the sense of history and understand the ancient story, and also hard to find the delicious snacks which passes through the test of history. In recent years, "Monga" movie craze, and government announce the future downtown westward planning, there is a new opportunity for development. Therefore, we established the "Association for the Development of Wanhua district" in an attempt starting from Wanhua, and then integrate Ximen district, re-build the brand of Wanhua, and regain the elegance and prosperity . Tienmu district and Neihu district already published "Tienmu Card" and the "Neihu card" as a consumption-boosted and consumer-benefited programs, both of these two cards already had more than 300 shops member and published more than 10000 units, not only effectively enhance the district's total spending, lots of resident live in other regions also apply the card. However, Both of Tienmu and Neihu district are all modern area and lack of ancient cultural traditions and meaning, making the cards only fit consumption needs but no content of culture and tournament, and also difficult to achieve sustainable development and the effective cohesion sense of community as a long-term goal. Wanhua district has many cultural and historical sites, snacks, restaurants, and next to Ximon area. Publishing "Wanhua card" can not only expand the general benefit of manufacturers and consumers but all the advantage of "food, clothing, housing, transportation, education and entertainment," six living fields. The founders of "Association for the Development of Wanhua district" come from different backgrounds but with the same goal of devoting ourselves to rebuild Wanhua. The founders include some natives that makes it possible to discuss the difference between Wanhua and all the other district and also a better future. We are familiar with the industry and all the political and economical relationship in Wanhua and this is also the most important base to integrate the regional opinion and invite shops to join the Wanhua Card Service Alliance. As a non-profit organization, we don’t have the terrible tax law but lots of sponsor instead. We already got the sponsor of office which include the operating cost and also a annual regular funds. Moreover, there is no competitor in the market. In a brief, it is a perfect timing and opportunity to found the "Association for the Development of Wanhua district", this is not only a business plan, but also a part of great community building step!

Polarizer Cutting Plan (PCP) is based on the month of customer orders, demand for a variety of different specifications of the polarizer, and selects the appropriate cutting mold and cutting sequence, arrangement of the polarizer cutting plan. There is no related work was seen before about this scheduling problem. This work is the first article study about the polarizer cutting scheduling problem. There are three methods are adopted in the scheduling system. First, we propose an automatic scheduling algorithm by reducing material approach for minimizing the polarizer material usage to save the consumption cost of the materials. Then, using the appropriate greedy method to find the near the optimal solution. Finally, this study proposes a particle swarm optimization algorithm for minimizing the polarizer material usage. Furthermore, according to the rule of artificial way, we utilize the computer system automation to optimize the arrangement of cutting plan, Material Savings and the Inventory Reduction without increasing any fixed and variable costs. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed PSO algorithm in terms of solution quality.

Obesity is a very common finding in the primary care physician's office; however, physicians do not always treat obese patients according to guidelines. This investigation examined the possible relationships between a physician's personal weight history, anti-obesity bias, and the proposed treatment plan for an obese, hypertensive patient. Fifty-five Family Medicine, twenty-one Internal Medicine, and five “Other” Family or Internal Medicine Subspecialty physician participants viewed a video featuring either a hypothetical female or male patient with stage I hypertension and obesity (with a BMI of 32.) Of the total 81 physician participants, only 33 completed the entire study. Of these, 79.4% had attempted weight loss in their lifetime, with 55.9% having attempted weight loss in the past year. Median physician BMI was 25, with a small standard deviation of 2.7. Mean obesity bias score was 50.6 (out of possible 117, the maximum value reflecting the most anti-obese attitudes,) with a standard deviation of 19.7. Among all 81 participants, weight loss was in the three highest-ranked treatment recommendations in 90.9% of physician participants. Only 21.2% recommended all four JNC- 6 recommended components of lifestyle change. 93.9% recommended the initiation of a drug during this diagnostic visit. Statistical significance was not achieved in relating physician personal characteristics such as weight history to treatment recommendations due to the low number of participants completing all study measures.

The objective of this study aims to provide in-depth analysis on how the contents of the instruction plan and variables for automotive division in senior vocational high schools between the existing curricular standards launched in school year 1986 and the newly inaugurated curricular standards introduced in school year 2000, with due examination on the significance of skill tests to the learning curriculum and instruction plan. Some of the crucial findings concluded by the study are listed as follows, 1. Under the current 1986 curricular standards, what instructors look to define the contents of teaching when drafting an instruction plan can be sequentially rated as the teaching methods, teaching resources, learning evaluation and teaching objectives. Whereas in the new 2000 curricular standards, teaching methods ranks first, followed by teaching resources, teaching contents, learning objectives and then learning evaluation. 2. Under the current 1986 curricular standards, what dictates the instructor in drafting the contents of an instruction plan lies most crucially in the instructor''''s teaching orientation, followed by the school''''s administrative measures, timing and process of teaching, parental expectation, students'''' background and industry expectation. Whereas in the new 2000 curricular standards, the instructor''''s teaching orientation remains most crucial, followed by the school''''s administrative measures, parental expectation, timing and progress of teaching, students'''' background, curricular standards and industry expectation. 3. Under both the current 1986 curricular standards and the new 2000 curricular standards, the instructors agree that skill tests would alter the teaching objectives in shop learning, while they also support the view that skill tests would somewhat influence the teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching resources in shop learning. 4. Under the current 1986 curricular standards, the instructors who possess a professional automotive repair licensing are found to emphasize more on clearly defined contents for the instruction plan than those that doe not. Whereas under the new 2000 curricular standards, the instructors at public schools are more keen on drafting the contents of an instruction plan than their peers in private schools. 5. Under both the current 1986 curricular standards and the new 2000 curricular standards, the decision on the teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching resources in shop teaching among private school instructors are found more tied to the skill tests than their peers in public schools. Whereas under the new 2000 curricular standards alone, the decision on the learning objectives in shop teaching among instructors who also double certain administrative responsibilities are more prone to be influenced by skill tests than full-time instructors. 6. Most instructors agree that the inauguration of the 2000 curricular standards can more adequately address all variables behind an instruction plan, compared to the 1986 curricular standards, of which school''''s administrative measures, parental expectation, students'''' background are regarded as more significant variables. 7. Most instructors reckon that the inauguration of the 2000 curricular standards will see a more profound significant of skills tests in determining the teaching contents and teaching methods of shop teaching, compared to the 1986 curricular standards.

Genuine Energy is formed with a technology and design team from Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering and Graduate Institute of Industrial Design of Taiwan Tech. As well as a management team from Graduate Institute of Industrial Management and Graduate Institute of Technology Management and Graduate Institute of Information Management of Taiwan Tech. Genuine Energy is a team with the effort of the graduates from the Graduate School of Electronics Engineering, Industrial Design of Taiwan Tech as our Technology and Design department. As our Management Department, we have the graduates from the Graduate School of Industrial Management, Technology Management and the Information Management of Taiwan Tech. We come from different backgrounds but with the same goal of devoting ourselves to save energy. We come up with natural light, which is an unlimited, clean and recyclable energy; and we would develop a sustainable, renewable energy technology with it. We propose a unique "passive large-scale natural light collection technology" with the core product of "light cube light-concentrating panel", which can collect natural light from the outside, transmit by fiber for use of illumination for the inside. We focus on developing innovative natural light concentrating technology, outsourcing production and selling our products through system integrators. We hope that the use of natural light in the future will be well-spread to people around the world. Though our team members came from the different backgrounds, we decide to devote ourselves to develop the green energy. Our idea came up with the natural lighting, which is an unlimited, clean and recyclable; and we will continue on developing a sustainable, renewable energy technology with it. Our proposal is a unique “passive large-scale natural lighting collection technology” with the core product of “light-concentrating panel” that could collect the natural lighting from the outside and transmit it by the fiber illumination to the inside. We focus on developing innovative natural light concentrating technology, outsourcing production and selling our products through system integrators. We hope that the idea of natural light in the future will be used around the world in the further future.
