Abstract:
The whole service life of reinforcement concrete structure under chloride environment was devided into two stages according to mechanism of degradation. Using diffusion test, content of chloride ion was tested to decide diffusion coefficient for different age and damped exponential of diffusion coefficient. Then, through using effective diffusion coeffient into solution of the Fick’s Second Law, service life of the first stage was predicted. For corrosion propogation phase, loading test was carried out to construct relationship between loading capacity of corroded test model and accelerated corrosion time. When using this relationship to actual structure, we calculated the service life of the second stage. These methods and results can be considered as reference to eveluate service life of structure under the samilar environment.

Abstract:
The structural stability, electronic, and mechanical properties of chromium nitride ( CrN ) have been investigated by first-principles calculations within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). Six different crystal structures of CrN are considered, namely NaCl , CsCl , zinc blende, WC, wurtzite and NiAs . Among the considered structures, NiAs -type structure is energetically more stable than others. The electronic band structure and density of states calculations reveal that these materials exhibit metallic nature. The calculated elastic constants indicate these compounds are mechanically stable in all the considered sturctures. In addition, the related mechanical properties such as bulk modulus, Young's modulus, shear modulus and the Poisson's ratio are also computed.

The research of our group focus on the studies of fentanyl analogues, which have potent analgesics free of side effects. Firstly, homology modeling, molecular docking, pharmacophore mapping, comparative molecular force field analysis(CoMFA), quantitative structure activity relationship(QSAR) studies and molecular dynamics(MD) simulations are applied in our research to gain a better understanding of the molecular interactions between the new fentanyl analogues(FA) and μ-opioid receptor(MOR), which provides a more rational design of targeting drugs. Secondly, chemical synthesis of novel compounds have been carried out successfully and their sturctures were confirmed by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR) and Mass Spectrom(MS). Lastly, in view of the functional roles of higher selectivity and affinity, the evaluation of the biological activities is ongoing.

Abstract The authors report 17 cases of large suprasellar meningiomas operated on during the 2-year period from February 1982 through March 1984. The tumors ranged from 4 to 9 cm in diameter. These patients presented with severe visual loss (4 were blind) and optic atrophy or papilledema. These tumors were noteworthy in their encroachment against and around the carotid arteries and optic nerves laterally, as well as against the hypothalamus with extension into the interpeduncular cistern and frontal foss. Advanced microsurgical technique assisted in total removal of all tumor tissue with preservation of vital sturctures. There were three deaths: two from pulmonary embolism and one from gastrointestinal hemorrhage. The surgical technique for the total removal of these very large tumors is described.

Abstract:
SUMMARY Density is one of the most essential properties that determines the dynamic behavior of the Earth. Besides, density has been commonly used to investigate the mineral composition, porosity and fluid content of rock. Therefore, a reliable estimation of the density structure is one of the most important objectives in both global seismology and seismic exploration. However, seismic inversions of independent density estimates are ill-posed because density has a large trade-off with velocities. Shear wave propagation is sensitive to both density and the S-wave velocity. We show that the reflected SV-wave (SV-to-SV wave) at an incident angle of 22.5o depends only on density contrast, and at incident angle 30o it depends only on S-wave velocity contrast. Thus, density as well as S-wave velocity can be directly inverted from the reflected SV-wave as separate and independent parameters. The forward modelling has high accuracy, the inverse problem is well-posed and the misfit function can be easily regularized. Field data application demonstrates the proposed method can efficiently recover reliable and high-resolution density and S-wave velocity of fine sturctures. Thus, this method has great potential in geological interpretation including understanding regional Moho structure, crustal and mantle formation and evolution, and rock lithologic composition and fluid-filled porosity.

Based on refined plastic hinge, this paper considers the effects of second-order effects of structure plastic strength, geometric imperfection ,residual stresses to the structure stability by modifying the element stiffness matrix. Use the modified element stiffness matrix to analyze the force of the staggered truss of steel sturcture and compare the calculation results with ANASYS’s. Use the modified element stiffness matrix to analyze interstory drift of the staggered truss of steel sturcture and compare the calculation results with K Jim’s. The result shows that the developed element matrix can accurately calculate the stability capacity and interstory drift of the staggered truss of steel structure. Design by advanced analysis method is the direction of the analysis and design of modern steel structure.

We have investigated of composite (1-x)Ba0.5Sr0.5Fe11.7Mn0.15Ti0.15 / xLa0.7Ba0.3MnO3 by conventional ceramic method. The sturcture of composite and complex impedance are carried out by XRD, SEM and Impedance Spectroscopy. With changing the weight ratio from x=0; 0.3; 0.5 and x=1 the phase exhibit the composite behavior. Very interestingly, for the case of the case of weight ratio x=0.5 and 0.7 showed the complex impedance with xemicircle pattern in frequency range from 1 KHz to 1 MHz.

In the crystal structure, the title compound, C24H22O8, lies on a twofold rotation axis and the asymmetric unit comprises one half-molecule. The dihedral angle formed by the coumarin unit with the symmetry-related part is 74.78 (14)°. One of the methoxy groups attached to the coumarin unit is considerably twisted, making an angle of 87.17 (17)° with respect to the coumarin unit; the other is twisted by 0.66 (19)°. No classical hydrogen bonds are found in the sturcture; only a weak C—H...π interaction and short intramolecular O...O contacts [2.683 (2)–2.701 (2) Å] are observed.

Abstract: The objective of this study are to eximine the influence of decentralised sturcture, budgetary participation, managers value orientation towards innovation on organisational commitment. The respodents were middle level managers in Aceh’s banking industry. Out of 131 questionnaires distributed, 118 can be used for analysis. Using Regression Analysis, the result of this study indicates that the decentralised structure and managers value orientation towards innovation have a negative influence to organisational commitment. Meanwhile, the budgetary participation has a positive and significant influence to organisational commitment. Recomendation for the future research is to use other variable such as organisational culture or job satisfaction to see its colleration to organisational commitment.

Research in our lab is aimed at examining how signaling molecules affect the differentiation of neurons in the developing cortex. Most morphological studies rely on single time point images of cells within a population. It is obviously advantageous to examine changes in individual living cells over time. By combining 2-photon imaging with co-transfection of genes for green fluorescent protein (GFP) and neurotrophins in living neurons, we can asses the effects of these on individual living cells.Individual neurons in brain slices from ferret visual cortex were transfected with GFP using particle mediated gene-transfer, or Biolistics. Using the Helios Gene Gun (Bio-Rad), DNA-coated gold particles are blasted into living brain slices. Neurons are transfected when a gold particle lands in the nucleus. Within 24 to 36 hours individual cells are well-filled with GFP allowing visualization of dendrites, spines, and axons.

ABSTRACTThe oxide interface SrTiO3/LaAlO3 supports a 2D electron liquid displaying superconductivity and magnetism, while allowing for a continuous control of the electron density using a gate. Our recent measurements have shown a similar surprising nonmonotonic behavior as function of the gate voltage (carrier density) of three quantities: the superconducting critical temperature and field, the inverse Hall coefficient, and the frequency of quantum oscillations. While the total density has to be monotonic as function of gate, the last result indicates that one of the involved bands has a nonmontonic occupancy as function of the chemical potential. We show how electronic interactions can lead to such an effect, by creating a competition between the involved bands and making their sturcture non-rigid, and thus account for all these effects. Adding Fock terms to our previous Hartree treatment makes this scenario even more generic.

Activated nitrogen-enriched carbon/reduced expanded graphite composites (ANC/REG-c) with different composite ratio were prepared by in-situ polymerization, carbonization, activation and reduction of aniline and expanded graphite. These were characterized by XPS, SEM and electrochemical measurements. XPS shows that N atoms exist in the ANC and ANC/REG-c. Compared to mechanical mixture of ANC and REG(ANC/REG-m), ANC/REG-c shows lower resistance and higherCp1(185.4 F/g) vs 124.3 F/g of ANC/REG-m measured by CV due to the introduction of the composite sturcture. When the composite ratio of ANC/REG-c is 6:1, the ANC/REG-c shows the highestCp1(264.0 F/g) and its symmetric supercapacitor also shows the best synthetical electrochemical performances. The optimal supercapacitor presents good cycle stability. ANC/REG-c is a suitable electrode material for supercapacitors.

The main problem of this reserach is the study of textual stucture in Hiyangan Wadian at death ceremony in Dayak Maanyan. In order to find and indentify the textual structure that build the Hiyangan Wadian in this ceremony, there are three textual sturcture by Van Dijk, such as macro structure, superstucture, and micro structure. Result of analysis on textual structure in the macro structure found that the main theme in Hiyangan kiaen tell about the journey stages to heaven that have to be passed by the spirit. The super structure of the text reveal that Hiyangan kiaen has three parts, opening part, content part and closing part. Result of analysis in the micro srtucture found that there are lexicosemantic paralelisms that reveal the words repetitions with the same meaning to emphasize that those words are important parts in the text.

Aerothermal heat transfer measurements in fluid dynamics have a relatively high acceptance of uncertainty due to the intricate nature of the experiments. The large velocity and pressure gradients present in turbomachinery application add further complexity to the measurement procedure. Recent method and manufacturing development has addressed some of the primary sources of uncertainty in these heat transfer measurements. However, new methods have so far not been applied in a holistic approach for heat transfer studies. This gap is bridged in the present study where a cost-effective and highly accurate method for heat transfer measurements is implemented, utilising infrared thermography technique (IRT) for surface temperature measurement. Novel heat transfer results are obtained for the turbine rear sturcture (TRS), at engine representative conditions for three different outlet guide vane (OGV) blade loading and at Reynolds Number of 235000. In addition to that, an extensive description of the implementation and error mitigation is presented.

Melt blowing(MB) is a process for producing fibrous webs or articles directly from polymers or resins using high-velocity air or another appropriate force to attenuate the filaments. This process is one of the newer and least developed nonwoven processes. This process is unique because it is used almost exclusively to produce microfibers rather than fibers the size of normal textile fibers. MB microfibers generally have diameters in the range of 2 to 4 ㎛, although they may be as small as 0.1 ㎛ and as large as 10 to 15 ㎛. The material acoustic property for noise absorption is principally based on the efficiency of material structures for damping sound wave reflections. In this paper, the sound absorbing material was designed with three layer composite sturcture. Sound absorbing material with fine meltblown(0.5~3 ㎛, 80%) and high modulus hollow fiber(30 ㎛, 20%) as a surface layer and bulky non-woven(15~30 ㎛) as middle layer, meltblown(3~10 ㎛) as bottom layer were manufactured. Their noise absorption were measured using the acoustic duct instrurment. The effect of the sound absorbing on the properties of PP/PET bico MB webs was investigated including the fiber diameter, weight, thickness and air permeability.

Abstract:
Mangrove are typical coastal plants whose habitat is influenced by tidal and substrate characteristics. Mangrove ecosystems have a variety of functions that can be utilized both in terms of physical, biological, and economic. Utilization of mangrove ecosystems that do not pay attention to environmental sustainability and conservation aspects cause damage of a whole coastal ecosystems. This study aims at analyze the structure and distribution of mangrove vegetation based on biophysical environment quality. This research was conducted on February until March 2017 at Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali. The results of study show that the conditions of temperature, pH, and salinity are still in accordance with the specified quality standards, however dissolved oxygen has been classified as polluted by anthropogenic waste. The analysis of the sturcture and distribution of mangrove vegetation found that species of S. alba dominated at the location research, followed by oleh R. apiculata, R. mucronata, B. gymnorrhiza, R. stylosa, X. granatum, A. marina, and A. corniculatum. Less attention has been given to well-being and other household characteristics that influence clients’ access to micro-credit among women households especially. The paper investigates the determinants of access to credit by 320 women entrepreneurs in the Mfantsiman Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana. Data for the study was collected in June-July 2010 from six communities including Mankessim, Saltpond, Anomabu, Biriwa and Yamoransa. Sturctured questionnaires were used to collect the data from women entrepreneurs. The results of the study indicate that clients’ well-being influences access to credit amount. Clients who have been in business for long time are likely to access larger loan amounts. Marital status and education do not influence access to credit. Among the recommendations are that microfinance should not only target clients with high well-being scores but those with low well-being scores since the original aim of microfinance is to lift the poor out of poverty. It is important to give credit to aged business owners instead of young ones. Giving credit to married women because their husbands could serve as guarantors does not matter much but rather women who do not have husbands also need to benefit from micro-credit.

AbstractExiste-il un lien lexical entre le verbe intransitif dormir, le verbe transitif endormir et le verbe pronominal neutre s'endormir? La réponse positive réside dans la structure cognitive. Du point de vue sémantique, dormir présente un procÈs statif, endormir un procÈs causatif et s'endormir un procÈs inchoatif. La structure congitive du statif correspond au prédicat ETRE, celle du causatif à /CAUSER-ALLER-ETRE/ et celle de l';inchoatif à /ALLER-ETRE/. La sturcture congitive confirme en fait que le verbe endormir est une valence augmentée de dormir et que s'amuser ou remplir – se remplir, de même que des phrases comme Le métal rouille /L'humidité rouille le métal./Le métal se rouille. Une fois saisi le fait que la structure cognitive permet d'établir des liens lexicaux, on expliquera la difféence entre divers types de verbes pronominaux neutres. Ainsi, s'endormir se distingue de se rouiller par la position actantielle du sujet á l'intérieur de la structure lexicale. Celui de s'endormir représente le prédicat /ALLER/, tandis que celui de s'amuser, représente le prédicat /ETRE/. Finalement, l'approche cognitive permet de dépasser le lexÈme et de nouer une relation entre les structures causatives /CAUSE–EFFET/ et les structures résultatives /sultatives /ACTION–RESULTAT/, comme avec Elle se tue au travail.

Understanding what is desired by Allah from the texts of the Qur’an that which is essentially many debatable than the immutable have led to a variety of concepts generated by the ushûliyyûn, like ‘âmm and muthlaq. These two concepts are very numerous and often intersect in the texts of the Qur’an, because the sturcture of the words on the legal source are mostly composed of ‘âmm and muthlaq words. Both have the differences and similarities in coverage breadth of its meaning. First, differences can be seen in the ‘âmm word covering the whole meaning of syar'î texts has many forms and varieties. While the muthlaq word consists only of nakirah word both singular and plural form. The other hand, the difference that in generality of ‘âmm is syumûlî and generality of muthlaq is badalî. In addition, the generality of ‘âmm from afrâd side (components), while the generality of muthlaq is from characteristic side. Secondly, the range of ‘âmm word is wider than the muthlaq word, due to the shape and variety of ‘âmm word more than the muthlaq word, ‘âmm word able to spend the amount of units more than the muthlaq word since the generality ‘âmm word on the side of component units, while the generality of the muthlaq word located on the side of characteristic.Copyright (c) 2016 by Al-Ihkam. SUMMARY Cdc42p is an essential GTPase that belongs to the Rho/Rac subfamily of Ras-like GTPases. These proteins act as molecular switches by responding to exogenous and/or endogenous signals and relaying those signals to activate downstream components of a biological pathway. The 11 current members ofthe Cdc42p family display between 75 and 100% amino acid identity and are functional as well as structural homologs. Cdc42p transduces signals to the actin cytoskeleton to initiate and maintain polarized gorwth and to mitogen-activated protein morphogenesis. In the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Cdc42p plays an important role in multiple actin-dependent morphogenetic events such as bud emergence, mating-projection formation, and pseudohyphal growth. In mammalian cells, Cdc42p regulates a variety of actin-dependent events and induces the JNK/SAPK protein kinase cascade, which leads to the activation of transcription factors within the nucleus. Cdc42p mediates these processes through interactions with a myriad of downstream effectors, whose number and regulation we are just starting to understand. In addition, Cdc42p has been implicated in a number of human diseases through interactions with its regulators and downstream effectors. While much is known about Cdc42p sturcture and functional interactions, little is known about the mechanism(s) by which it transduces signals within the cell. Future research sould focus on this question as well as on the detailed analysis of the interactions of Cdc42p with its regulators and downstream effectors.

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership on employees work activity moderated work discipline at Islamic banking in Makassar. Data collection uses the primary data obtained from questionnaires using technitk proportionated random sampling. The population is all 162 permanent employees from 11 Islamic banks in Makassar City, while the sample taken is 62 respondents. The results of the questionnaire have been tested for validity and reliability. Methoddata analysis using SEM technique (Sturctural equation modeling) assisted with WarphPLS Ver.5.0. The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis of leadership is accepted in part because it shows the result of hypothesis test that negative and significant. This means that influential negative leadership and significant to employees work activity. then result research on work discipline shows that the hypothesis is accepted because it shows results a positive and significant hypothesis. this means that positive discipline work is positive and significant to employees work activity. While the results of research on discipline work as the strengthening variable indicates that the hypothesis is accepted as it shows the results a positive and significant hypothesis.
