It is the genres of this style which surround us in everyday life: laws, codes, orders, announcements, manuals and others. Also, all international documents and agreements are written in an official style. These documents are regulator of relations between countries. This article describes the classification of the styles of the literary language and their genres. And also, this article is devoted to the study of one international document, namely the "charter". There are many classifications of styles in the Ukrainian literary language. Each researcher categorizes and names them differently, but still, there are five main functional styles, such as scientific, official, publicistic, informal, literary. Official style is a functional style of literary language. "Charters" are international documents of official style. They have different stylistic, lexical and grammatical characteristics. In "charters " neutral vocabulary is used and words are used in the literal sense. For these documents extended sentence, compound sentence and complex sentence are characterized. A perspective for further research is a comparative analysis of the lexical, grammatical and semantic features of the "charter" in different languages.

Abstract:
Despite learning styles being one of the main topics of interest in education, not many studies have considered the influence of learning styles regarding students learning foreign languages in Malaysia. This study investigates the learning style preferences of 35 Spanish beginner level students aged between 20 and 24 years, the teaching style preferences of their Spanish teacher, and the relationship between the matching of teacher and learner styles and the learners’ language achievement. Data were collected using an adapted perceptual learning style preference questionnaire, a teaching style questionnaire, interviews and class observations. The findings show that the learners preferred kinaesthetic and auditory learning styles, while the teacher preferred kinaesthetic and tactile teaching. Interestingly, the results suggest that improvement in terms of achievement may not necessarily be related to a match between teacher and learner style. It was found that learners who improved were those who could adapt to the teacher’s styles and also those who would use multiple strategies to learn Spanish. Also, the results indicate that application of multiple teaching styles help students learn Spanish in a more enjoyable and effective manner. These insights are of interest to research on learner styles in general, and specifically to Spanish teachers in their instruction planning.

Abstract:
This research aims to describe the language style used and the meanings contained in the coffee and tea advertisement on mass media. Researchers chose coffee and tea advertisement in mass media as the object of research. The method in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique was observation and notetaking. The data collected were categorized according to the type of advertisement and then analyzed one by one using language style theory and semantic theory. The results of this research found 27 data on coffee and tea advertisement containing language styles, consisting of 3 rhetorical language styles (consisting of 1 alliteration, 7 assonances, and 11 hyperboles), then 3 figurative language styles (consisting of 1 personification, 1 simile, and 2 synecdoches), and 4 denotative meaning (does not contain language style), as well as the semantic meaning contained in it. The repetition of consonant sounds always occurs in an alliteration language style. While in assonance, the style of language was in the form of repetition of the same vowel sound to achieve the goal of obtaining a beautiful effect in a sentence. Meanwhile, hyperbola was a style of language that tends to exaggerate the actual reality. In the figurative style, personification was a style of language that describes inanimate objects as if they saw a living creature. In contrast to simile, this style was comparing the similarities of something, and synecdoche was a style of language used to express a whole or a part. While denotative meaning was a language or word that was used to express something that was without any deviation from the word. Hyperbole was the most common language style found in this research. This was because the advertisement writer wants to highlight the specialty of the coffee and tea products offered by using excessive elements in the advertising language and wants to define a product in an interesting sentence through a short direct comparison. The element of exaggeration in his words was evident in the style of hyperbole.

Abstract:
This research demonstrates that linguistic similarity predicts network-tie formation and that friends exhibit linguistic convergence over time. In Study 1, we analyzed the linguistic styles and the emerging social network of a complete cohort of 285 students. In Study 2, we analyzed a large-scale data set of online reviews. In both studies, we collected data in two waves to examine changes in both social networks and linguistic styles. Using the Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) framework, we analyzed the text of students’ essays and of 1.7 million reviews by 159,651 Yelp reviewers. Consistent with our theory, results showed that similarity in linguistic style corresponded to a higher likelihood of friendship formation and persistence and that friendship ties, in turn, corresponded to a convergence in linguistic style. We discuss the implications of the coevolution of linguistic styles and social networks, which contribute to the formation of relational echo chambers.
