Abstract:
The article considers various peculiarities of implementing stylistic devices (metaphor, gradation, personification, contrast) in the advertising poly-code media text that, in its turn, serves as the object of the research. The research proves that the realization of stylistic devices can be actualized not only on the basis of the close correlation of iconic and verbal components (integration or extension relationships), but also within the structure of the iconic component independently and without any verbal elements. The author searches out that the notion of the stylistic device can be expanded and go beyond the boundaries of text and discourse. This fact outlines and stresses the high stylistic potential of the iconic component in the structure of the advertising media text and gives reasons for the development of visual stylistics that can be considered to be a new branch of stylistics in general.

Abstract:
The subject of this paper is the stylistic potential of the absolute object in the text of the Qur’an. Besides reference to the basic theoretical definition of the absolute object in Arabic grammar and Arabic stylistics, the paper researches the discipline of ornaments, 'ilm al-badī', and based on the Qur’anic text tries to identify frequent stylistic figures realized by the constructions of the absolute object and its regent. The research showed that constructions with the same root are a significant syntactic framework within which numerous stylistic figures are realized in the Qur’an. Paronomasia of derivation, rhyming prose, parallelism, antithesis, and symmetrical antithesis are some of the stylistic figures which in the form of the absolute object and its regent shape the text of the Qur’an and determine it stylistically. In addition to stylistic marking, the same-root repetition of the word root in the absolute object and its regent represents an important linguistic means in connecting the Qur’anic text. The sound uniformity and echo that develops and resonates through the interpretation of these constructions is closely related to the meaning, affects the recipients’ hearing and mind and performs an argumentative function. Ključne riječi: Arabic language, absolute object, the Qur'an, stylistic figures, paronomasia, derivation, rhyming prose, parallelism, antithesis.

Abstract:
The article deals with the stylistic potential of German syntactic means, their expressive–stylistic and functional–stylistic features. The study sets out to reveal the expressive syntactic means. Disorder of a proper sentence structure makes its expressiveness. In contrast to a «syntactic tension», the article analyses a «syntactic loosening» of a normative sentence structure as a current trend in German syntax, as a source of syntactic expressiveness and the most productive instrument of simplification of a sentence structure. Thus, it assimilates to the structure of the everyday language. Syntactic «loosening» of a normative sentence structure is formed by a simple hypotaxis, a failure of closed–in constructions and a lack of grammatical agreement among sentence parts. The study is carried out in the context of historical dynamics. The renunciation of a difficult multi-stage hypotaxis but using of a simple sentence as block structures leads to expression saving and easily understanding. Each of the blocks has a large amount of information. Parts of the sentence are in the same line and are united with nominal juxtaposition. Their development is closely related to the nominalization trend. The influence of colloquial speech on the literary German and its written form, closing to natural speech lead to the renunciation of closed–in constructions. The author proves that the removal of grammatical structures isn't new for the modern literary German, but it presents the perfectly sound tendency. As a result of this study, there is a conclusion that the modification of the grammatical structure isn't the result of an abrupt shift or radical turn but it is a natural continuation of a dynamic process.

Abstract:
We analyze the particular functions of such metaphors as synesthesia and personification in a literary text. The purpose of study is to identify the stylistic potential of synesthesia and personification in a literary text. The relevance of topic is due to the need to investigate the stylistic functions of the above metaphors in the prose of Austrian authors, little-known and therefore insufficiently researched in domestic stylistics. The material of research is the prose of Austrian authors. In particular, the intentional selection of works created at different times allowed to better focus on metaphors featured by structures and functions. We explore the stylistic potential of metaphors, which is understood as the ability of these linguistic means to implement certain stylistic functions. We conclude as follows: 1) the language of Austrian writers of the 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries is characterized by metaphors that make up the aesthetic value of their works; 2) an important role in achieving the figurativeness of a literary text is played by the expressive means of the language, in particular, synesthesia and personification; 3) these varieties of metaphor have sufficient stylistic potential to implement the main functions in the artistic style, namely, characterological, descriptive, emotive and evaluative; 4) the metaphor is characterized by multifunctionality, which makes it possible to combine the description with the tasks of characterization, expression and evaluation. The data obtained constitute the theoretical significance of study and as well can be used in teaching philology students.

Abstract:
The article deals with the study of stylistic techniques and means of expression characteristic of English speech expression, the study of means and methods of communication of independent sentences, as well as phrasal units, ways to combine them into fragments and whole speech texts. The paper identifies and generalizes scientific approaches to the study of stylistic syntax techniques, analyzes syntactic constructions that have expressive potential and pragmatic orientation. It is established that the subject of syntactic stylistics is also the study of the specifics of the functioning of expressive means and techniques in complex linguistic texts. It is found that the stylistic technique is realized, as a rule, in the context of phrasal units, paragraph and whole text, and the interaction of sentence models in these contexts gives emotional and expressive meaning to the segments of speech that they form. Thus, stylistic devices based on formal and semantic interactions of several syntactic constructions or sentences in a particular context, is one of the richest sources of speech expression. These stylistic devices serve as a means of poetic syntax, and are widely used in fiction, journalism and are found in scientific language. Despite the fact that each stylistic device individually contributes to the overall expressiveness of the text, a greater effect is achieved through their interaction, and with the help of these stylistic devices, contact with the addressee is established, the emotional background and emphaticity of the text are enhanced. Therefore, expressive means and stylistic techniques of syntax, which are created both with the use of stylistically marked constructions and without their participation, are one of the richest means of stylistics of the English language. The considered cases of violation of the usual logic of syntactic connection of parts of a complex sentence, semantic differences between their usual and occasional use bring subjective motives into the text and are used with certain stylistic purposes, which due to functioning together have a greater effect.

Abstract:
Purpose. The paper aims at discovering stylistic and grammatical peculiarities in tourism discourse based on VisitBritain.com text corpus; analyzing its application scope and mission; specifying “tourism discourse” as a notion.
Methodology. Used in the paper are general scientific methods (synthesis, generalization), analysis of the text corpus, method of linguistic analysis.
Results. The issue of tourism discourse as a separate unit, not a subtype of advertising discourse, remains highly disputable nowadays. The present paper analyses the theoretical basis of notions of “discourse” and “tourism discourse”; determines the levels and communication means in tourism; substantiates the hypothesis on multi-component and multi-modal structure of tourism discourse as a linguistic phenomenon. In the practical part of the research, the author draws special attention to the specifics of the English tourism discourse in terms of typology, lexicology and morphology. The paper concludes by saying that tourism discourse is different from advertising one as well as requires further investigation into the issue.
Practical implications. The results presented in the article can be used both in theory and applications, i.e., further inquiry into the pragmatic constituent of tourism discourse and its interdisciplinarity; compilation of corpora of tourist texts in the English language; adaptation of the English tourism discourse for present-day realities and addressees’ demands.

This paper aims to offer some points of orientation for anyone interested in carrying out research into TCL (the Translation of Children’s Literature) from a translational corpus stylistic perspective. In order to achieve that, I first offer some general observations about Stylistics and Narrative Analysis. Then, I briefly describe the corpus-based system used to show the potential significance of this proposal for a research area within TCL, which has a chiefly empirical character. Next, I make some suggestions of topics that could be further explored by people interested in this particular area of study. Finally, while emphasizing the ‘unprogrammable’ situated determinacy of all communication (including translation), I offer some observations about how to proceed with a translational corpus stylistic approach and its promise of benefitting future research on TCL.

Abstract:
The article examines the issue of changing of scientific paradigms and strategies of analysis, the formation of new research areas in modern times. Current statements of Western epistemology regarding the transformation of the scientific worldview from traditional spheres of knowledge to functional, communicative, syncretic, typical for the information age are commented. The logic of Jacqueline Rus's argument according to the radical changes in modern science, commensurate with the development of humanity and societies, is clarified. The essence of intellectual processes in current linguistics is analyzed, when a strong interest in the functional capabilities of the language has been formed since the end of the 19th century, instead of the traditional attention to the system and structural description of the language. The functional resource of language is interpreted in the article as an immanent property revealed in stylistic modifications of genres and texts. At the same time, the stylistic polyphony of texts, cognition of their communicative harmony with the purpose and objectivity of communication give rise to new research directions in linguistics – media linguistics, political and business linguistics, linguistic imagelogy, etc. Linguistic imageology as a special research field of scientific interests in philology is still being formed as a systematic direction. Syncretic in essence, linguoimageology determines the main parameters of the discipline – object, subject of analysis, strategies, tactics, methods of language activity, specific methods of text analysis, etc. in discussions and ambiguous formulations. The article presents a link for the first publication in this field – "Linguistic imageology: dictionary of terms and concepts" as a model and a possible criterion for systematic linguoimageology research. The edition conceptually forms the main categories and concepts of the direction, presents scientific definitions based on the researched locus of the functional and communicative language resource of the information world correlated with other directions of humanities. Abstract:

Confronting Potential Cultural Barriers in Translated Works reflects upon the stylistic choices of Maxine Hong Kingston and Sandra Cisneros in their respective works, "No Name Woman" and “Woman Hollering Creek.” Both strategically include either moments of or full iterations of translation culturally and linguistically. When incorporating translation at any degree, a potential barrier could arise: a barrier from comprehension, a barrier from translation, a barrier between author and reader, or a barrier between cultures. Throughout this essay, I will be discerning the stylistic choices of Cisneros and Kingston concerning their inclusion of translation but also their overarching storylines to evaluate whether their work disrupts the presented cultural barrier or whether the presented cultural barrier disrupts their work.

Abstract:
Both learning to write and teaching it are challenging tasks. Different techniques and approaches are used by English language instructors to teach this skill. Due to the varied educational, cultural, social, linguistic, and economic backgrounds of the students, teaching at the tertiary level in the Indian environment can be more difficult. The goal of this thesis is to use a stylistic approach to teach writing skills to students. The method for analyzing and interpreting literary or non-literary texts has traditionally been stylistics, the scientific study of style. Only a small amount of research is done in the pedagogical sector to explore stylistics' full potential. The stylistics field was explored by scholars through the current study since it has its roots in ancient rhetoric and the craft of persuasion in speech and writing, making this research promising to produce discovery. By combining elements of literary and linguistic stylistics, this thesis created a stylistic model. The coping stone of this thesis states that style in any written work (i.e., verbal artifact) is the way in which the content (i.e., ideas and arguments) is organized, and the language exploits all possible choices, helping this organization to achieve an intended purpose or to create the desired effect. This idea of style should be studied stylistically, which is what this research project is all about. For textual analysis and text creation in classroom contexts, the integrated model of stylistics offers a framework and principles. Similar to how understanding the various levels at which language operates, as well as various stylistic techniques and methods, enables students to master culinary skills, understanding the various ingredients, methods, and tools would empower and enable students to write effectively and coherently in both personal and professional settings. The model created emphasizes distinct options available at each linguistic level on the paradigmatic and syntagmatic planes for the students to exploit depending on their need, audience, context, and effect to be produced in the readers' minds.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the sub-standard vocabulary of the English language using examples of American slang, which makes up its main part. The development of language and society entails the constant emergence of new units of both standard and non-standard vocabulary. Knowledge of this layer of vocabulary is necessary for a better understanding of native English speakers, modern literature and mass media. The definitions and stylistic characteristics of the layers of non-standard vocabulary are indicated, combining them into a lexico-semantic paradigm based on the principle of socio-cultural and stylistic determinism of their functioning. The communicative structure of a literary text as a linguocultural space is determined to identify the stylistic characteristics of non-standard lexical units. The features of the conceptualization of the world through non-standard vocabulary are revealed. In addition, the article describes the communicative and pragmatic techniques of non-standard vocabulary at the lexical and semantic levels. At the word-formation level, non-standard compatibility manifests itself, as a rule, through a language game created with the help of word-formation means, as a rule, it is affixation, contamination, abbreviation, truncation.

Abstract:
Despite the prevalence of homeotheleuton as a stylistic means of expression in Ukrainian poetic speech, researchers of our country have not paid enough attention to it yet. It is not even mentioned in stylistics textbooks, dictionaries of linguistic and literary terms, though occasionally appear researches on the expressive means of French language space. On the grounds of the Ukrainian language, such studies were not conducted, so that determines the relevance of the problem. The purpose of the proposed study is to clarify the peculiarities of the implementation of homeotheleuton as a stylistic figure in the language of Ukrainian poetry of the second half of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century. In order to achieve the defined goal, the following tasks have been performed: the definition of the term «homeotheleuton» has been formulated, the types of homeotheleuton have been singled out for such features as the morphemic detection of repeating elements, the syntactic function of homogeneous members, their contact in the sentence and their location in the text. The author concludes that homeotheleuton is a productive figure of stylistic syntax, actively represented in the Ukrainian poetry of the second half of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century. In the analyzed works, the following types of homeotheleuton were discovered: a) simple and combined (by morphemic detection of repetitive elements); b) contact and distant (by contact in the sentence); c) horizontal, vertical and diagonal (by «spatial» placement in the text); d) all possible members of sentence, which have homogeneity in the corresponding microcontext, are represented by executable syntactic function. Homeotheleuton shows a significant text creation potential both at the level of creating a microcontext, and at the level of organization of semantically complete and self-sufficient text.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the cognitive stylistic analysis of semantic deviations as foregrounding devices in slogans. The ultimate objective of this article is to reveal and depict stylistic attractors, cognitive processes, structures and mechanisms which determine cognitive stylistic specificity of semantic deviations utilized in slogans. The article sets forth the definition of semantic deviation, expands on what impact stylistic devices falling into the category of semantic deviations make on a reader from cognitive perspective. It also displays how rules and literary norms are violated so as to foreground information, encode implicit information, defamiliarize a media text and capture a potential customer’s attention in slogans. The semantic deviations were analyzed from cognitive and stylistic perspective in slogans of companies with a household name. Furthermore, conceptual metaphor analysis and cognitive-stylistic analysis were applied to analyze how semantic deviations are deployed in the text. Having conducted the research, the following findings were revealed: By means of leveraging bodily and sensory-motor experience and displaying tangible and nonhuman items as something animate metaphorical utterances allow a potential end user to envision and get a profound insight into what is being represented by the advertiser. Regarding simile, it incorporates conceptual mapping between two incompatible concepts by juxtaposing two tangible objects. Direct and specific comparison of two entities facilitates the decipherment of the message behind the stylistic device and evokes the mental images. When it comes to pun, by virtue of dual meaning pun calls forth the potential customer’s brainwork and pushes him/her to interpret the hidden meaning. By means of pun the slogan grabs a potential user’s attention and exerts a humorous effect on him/her. As for paradox, this stylistic device activates a potential end user’s cognitive processing and encyclopedic knowledge structures as well as calls for unraveling the parallel between and make sense of two abnormal and contradictory terms to decode the creative and novel meaning behind the hidden message where pun was integrated.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the description of the main types and stylistic potential of allusive elements in the novel “Chocolat” by the contemporary British author Joanne Harris. Allusion as a stylistic device is considered in the context of the theory of intertextuality and is interpreted as one of the leading methods of reproducing "another voice" in a literary text. The author concludes that the allusion is distinguished by the conscious use and requires unambiguous understanding and interpretation. The practical part of the study presents a description of the stylistic device of allusion in terms of the type and source of allusive borrowing, its main functions in the text under study. The analysis allows us to conclude that the allusion actualizes mainly the concepts of precedent texts and precedent phenomena. The main functions of allusive elements are explanatory, evaluative, and those of characterization and creating imagery.

Abstract:
Purpose. This article is devoted to the consideration of amplification as an expressive means of stylistic syntax in the texts of the German Romantics of the 19th century. The author aims to describe various types of enumeration as the main means of amplification, taking into account the nature of the rhythmic expressiveness of a simple sentence and to reveal the entire stylistic potential of enumerative series.
Methods or methodology of the work. The basis of the research is formed by the continuous sampling method in the selection of practical material as well as the method of descriptive linguo-stylistic analysis.
Results. The analysis showed that amplification is a significant means of enhancing the emotional effectiveness of the language of romantic poets. By nominative and verbal enumeration, the effect of monotony, despondency, pressure, elevation, joy and hope is achieved. A special rhythmization of the sentence is created due to the enumerative intonation and rhythm. Along with a certain syntactic uniformity and consistency, there is a dismemberment of a homogeneous enumerative series, which creates a special kind of rhythmic expressiveness.
Practical implications. The results of the research can be used at the lessons of Stylistics of the German Language, Text Interpretation, in seminars on the study of features of the language of German poetry.

Abstract:
The article deals with the consideration of brandonyms from the standpoint of defining the status of lexical affiliation and their role in the stylistic organization of different texts. The article analyzes the issues aimed at clarifying such terms as «universal», «etrangism», «barbarism», as well as defines «brandonym», «text», determines the ability of brandonyms to acquire the characteristics of stylistics of certain messages, including advertising texts, and those that promote a particular idea implicitly. The onym space of any text is a reflection of the subjective assessment of the word by the author, therefore, the article emphasizes the peculiarities of introducing brandonyms to the texts of the above functional styles of modern Ukrainian standard language, as well as the specifics of mental and linguistic view of the world of an individual – the author of certain messages – as a representative of ethnolinguistic culture, the native of a separate language and philosophy.
The relevance of the article is due to the need to trace functioning of proper names, in particular brandonyms, to try to establish their status in different texts.
The aim of the article is to define the status of brandonyms from the standpoint of their affiliation to a certain group of vocabulary and stylistic purpose in the texts of literary and journalistic styles.
Research methods are due to the peculiarities of the analysis of proprial vocabulary, which involves the use of descriptive method and a comprehensive approach to considering the functioning of specific lexical units in a particular text and their potential to create a certain stylistic intonation and power in achieving the overall goal of discourse formulation.
In our opinion, the article is a necessary study in the research of Ukrainian onomastics, in particular the stylistic functions of proprietary names in various texts.
Conclusions. Brandonyms cannot be assigned to one specific group: «barbarism», «entragism», or have only an understanding of it as a linguistic universal as all other propriatives both purely for theoretical reasons and in terms of functioning in a separate text, the studied language units may vary in the aspect of a clear assignment to one named group of vocabulary. From a stylistic point of view, brandonyms are not endowed with superpowerful properties of creating some sublime or lyrical intonation of the text, but have considerable potential to help achieve the goal of literary style – to reproduce the socio-temporal color of the described events and phenomena – and journalistic – providing voluntative function, and to act as a dominant of linguistic ambivalence.

Abstract:
In addition to being a very complex and refined language, the language used in Kadare's works finds its primary source of support in everyday speech. The reader himself is the greatest person to witness this. The reader—or, more accurately, the researcher—is the one who is most familiar with the fact that Kadare's works employ not only literary language but also dialectal forms and novel word formations, which occasionally impart stylistic or semantic nuances that differ from those of the standard language word. Thus, he is among the authors who have contributed to the expansion of the lexicon through the addition of new terms and forms. Similar to any other language, Albanian stylistics examines the Albanian language's instruments and expressive potential as well as its discourse structure, styles, and texts from the perspective of secondary linguistic organization. Older words, neologisms, and regionalisms are examples of words with evocative power that can be employed as stylistic elements to give a text or style the right nuances. This research paper's goal was to discuss the stylistic elements found in Ismail Kadare's "Broken April" and "The Fall of the Stone City" books and novels. These elements included phonetic organization—that is, combining words to create a perceptible expressive effect—sound symbolism, word formation as a stylistic element, and word-forming methods. We also include the presentation or samples from Kadare works in the paper's thorough section. Suffixation and composition take center stage in this paper among the novel word-forming methods in terms of production and extension.

Abstract This perspective paper discusses four general desiderata of current computational stylistics and (neuro-)cognitive poetics concerning the development of (a) appropriate databases/training corpora, (b) advanced qualitative-quantitative narrative analysis (Q2NA) and machine learning tools for feature extraction, (c) ecologically valid literary test materials, and (d) open-access reader-response data banks. In six explorative computational stylistics studies, it introduces a number of tools that provide QNA indices of the foregrounding potential at the sublexical, lexical, inter- and supralexical levels for poems by Shakespeare, Blake, or Dickens. These concern lexical diversity and aesthetic potential, sentiment analysis, sublexical sonority scores or phrase structure, and topics analysis. The results illustrate the complex interplay of stylistic features and the necessity for theoretical guidance and interdisciplinary cooperation in selecting adequate training corpora, QNA tools, test texts, and response measures.

In the focus of attention is the part of stylistic factors in realizing the pragmatic purposefulness of an utterance. For analysis were chosen sentences built up according to the model N1 – Vcop – Nv, where N1 and Nv are characterized by the seme [+ person], and Nv gives “the name of the person”, formed by way of derivation from a verb. The results of the analysis show that expressive and stylistic potential of such sentences is realized by way of both its semantic and structure: –names with prefixes and suffixes that serve as means of expressing the categories of intensification, stylistic connotation, positive or negative appraisal; –names formed by way of metaphorisation; –names-occasionalisms; –the model nominal component modifications; –the utterance ironic implication; –link verbs with the meaning of intention, wish, subjective appraisal; –the model communicative variants: ellipsis, parcellation, inversion, isolation, verbless predicates.

Various verb forms, their synonyms as well as great possibilities of their combining have significantly enabled creation of this harmony. The language of Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša has a very significant stylistic potential. The various meanings and multi-layered structures of the verb forms are the product of the affective attitude of the narrator which stems from the aspiration of the narrator to use the most expressive verb form (the verb form and its synonym). The subtle shading of the logical and grammatical and stylistic functions of the verb forms creates a very strong expression and rhythmicity.

Abstract:
Style poses serious difficulties for translators. Stylistic intricacies can result in ST misinterpretation and hence misrepresentation of meaning. Clearly, reproducing the writer’s stylistic choices in a way that makes sense to the target text (TT) reader goes beyond reproducing the source text (ST) meaning as faithfully as possible. Stylistic features can be a distinctive property of the writer or the text. This article explores the stylistic challenges involved in the translation of style and the potential compromise of text meaning and coherence. The study approaches this issue through comparative analysis of Le Gassick’s translation of Mahfouz’ Al Midaq Alley, underscoring the stylistic nuances that faced the translator. The significance of this study lies in highlighting certain stylistic features unique to Najib Mahfouz's style, and analyzing the difficulties they implied for the translator. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the first section of the study explores the distinctive features of the author’s style and the challenges in translating them. The second section examines the impact of translating style on the coherence and meaning of the text, including potential mistranslations or under-translations, and suggests a set of strategies that can help translators convey meaning while maintaining the text’s coherence and stylistic uniqueness. Finally, the study emphasizes the importance of understanding the stylistic dimensions of a text, as meaning extends beyond the text itself to engage the reader’s cultural and religious context. It follows that the translator's relationship with the target reader mirrors the author's relationship with ST reader. Therefore, translators must strive for accuracy in conveying meaning while offering the same aesthetic reading experience to their audience.

The article gives a detailed analysis of stylistic parameters and criteria of media phraseology with regard to their functional potential in different types of communication. The author considers media phraseologism as a special verbal marker of modern society and defines the criteria of scientific analysis of phraseologism in mass media. In scientific analysis the author focuses his attention on the types of media phraseology and provides mechanisms for the functioning of traditional (usual), stylistically transformed and idiomatically new phraseologism in mass communication. On the basis of the medialinguistic view on phraseologism as the universum of media text new requirements for describing the functional potential of these linguistic units in media texts are proposed. Thus, functional-stylistic approach to the analysis of media phraseology determines the prospects for its scientific description and further linguapragmatics in various types of media communication. The article raises scientific problems concerning the analysis of media phraseology, the solution of which is possible with the help of the functional-stylistic approach.

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to reveal major word-formation processes involved in the formation of stylistic neologisms and decipher their meanings. The overall objectives to achieve the established goal were as follows: to identify samples of stylistic neologisms in a corpus of English-language chick lit; to single out the morphological operations employed to manufacture stylistic neologisms in English-language chick lit; to identify how the creation of stylistic neologisms straddle the boundaries of core morphology; to describe the communicative purposes of stylistic neologisms in English-language chick lit and interpret their semantics. Stylistic neologisms are viewed as new words, whose expressive power is the result of morphological transgression. The neologicity of these creations is diagnosed against a range of criteria including their con- codification in dictionaries, inobservance or overall infrequency in corpora, semantic opacity, and formal deviancy. It is agreed upon that neologisms that transgress morphological conventions of word-formation are stylistically utilic combining social and expressive meanings. As such, they stand out as means of conveying humor, playfulness, and creativity, as well as serve as tools to build and maintain relationships, construct identities and the world around them, mitigate and persuade. The methodological basis of the research was a complex of the following methods: purposeful sampling (to demonstrate the specificity of morphological patterns employed for stylistic neologisms formation, their meaning making, and meaning interpretation); definitive and component analysis (to establish the basic meanings of the new lexical units components); typological method (to classify major word-formation methods utilized for the production of stylistic neologisms in English-language chick lit); functional method (to clarify the pragmatic potential of stylistic neologisms in English-language chick lit). The typological description in this article takes a derivational approach that assigns the concept of word-formation productivity to the level of grammatical word-formation competence, which accounts for potential words. Derivational patterns utilized for the production of new words were listed as those involving additive and metamorphic processes. The typological description of stylistic neologisms in ELCL was contextualized in this study on Item-and-Process approach falling under lexeme-based morphology which sees a word form as a result of word formation rule. An important outcome of this research is the recognition that the methods used to create stylistic neologisms in English-language chick lit align with standard conventions regarding fundamental morpho- logical conventions. They include affixation, compounding, clipping, and conversion, with suffixation dom- inating the list. Although adhering to these established word-formation processes, creatively crafted neol- ogisms in English-language chick lit are not restricted by derivational constraints. A unique process utilized in the creation of stylistic neologisms is decompounding, when a compound word is dissected, and its indi- vidual segments operate independently.

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the study of the stylistic features of English vocabulary in the language design of hotel business advertisements in Australia. The paper analyses how various stylistic devices affect the perception of advertisements by potential clients. Specifically, it examines the use of metaphors, hyperboles, epithets, and other stylistic techniques that give advertising texts emotional colouring and persuasiveness, helping to create vivid images and evoke positive associations with the hotel among potential clients. Metaphors allow for a more figurative and understandable description of services, hyperboles emphasise the exclusivity and advantages of offers, and epithets add colorfulness and emotional richness to the text. Additionally, these stylistic devices contribute to establishing an emotional connection with the audience, eliciting feelings of trust and interest, which are critically important for the successful promotion of hotel services. The specificity of lexical choice depending on the target audience and the type of hotel (luxury, mid-range, budget) is also considered. The authors employ content analysis and semantic analysis methods to study advertising texts on Australian hotel websites and compare stylistic features of advertisements from different regions of Australia. The research findings indicate that the correct use of stylistic devices in advertisements significantly enhances their effectiveness, contributing to the formation of a positive hotel image and attracting customers. Specifically, effective use of metaphors, hyperboles, and epithets makes advertising messages more vivid, emotionally saturated, and persuasive, strengthening the emotional response from potential clients. This, in turn, helps create positive associations with the hotel brand, increases trust levels, and stimulates the desire to use its services. Furthermore, stylistic techniques help distinguish the hotel from competitors, emphasising its unique advantages and features, which also contributes to attracting more clients and ensuring its long-term success in the market. The study also highlights the importance of considering cultural and regional specifics in creating advertising texts to achieve maximum impact. The conclusion is drawn that hotel business advertising in Australia reflects the unique cultural values and expectations of both local and international guests, requiring a special approach to its creation.

Abstract:
The present article dwells on the stylistic potential of English slang and colloquial borrowings in How to Get Married as Many Times as You Want by Irena Karpa. While both types of units represent the colloquial substandard of the Ukrainian lexis and belong to its periphery, in practice they are virtually indistinguishable from one another. Consequently, they have been jointly analysed in this research. Most colloquial borrowings belong to the low register and are actively employed in creating an atmosphere of casual unfiltered communication. Slang and colloquial anglicisms possess inherent stylistic markedness, especially the less assimilated units like barbarisms, colloquial idioms, general neologisms, and author's coinages. Due to their low level of assimilation, they can be represented through either Ukrainian or English graphemes. Furthermore, the author explicitly explains the meaning of some anglicisms in the case of low semantic adaptation. The borrowed slang and colloquial units may exhibit additional (contextually determined) stylistic markedness when they are utilized as a part of various stylistic devices, including include epithet, metaphor, hyperbole, gradation, parenthesis, antithesis, amplification, epiphora, irony, humour, rhetorical questions, exclamation sentences, etc. Overall, the author’s adept use of a multitude of stylistic devices harnessing the expressiveness of colloquial and slang English borrowings can be viewed as one of the hallmarks of Irena Karpa’s style. In conclusion, Irena Karpa’s use of English-derived slang units and colloquialisms within her book How to Get Married as Many Times as You Want testifies to the high stylistic potential of the analysed units. Further studies may focus on the stylistic nuances of English borrowings that function across different discourses.

The author of the proposed material emphasizes that the linguistic and stylistic organization of the artistic text has been of interest to linguists for a long time. However, the peculiarities of a poetic narrative expressive means functioning have not been deeply investigated so far. Therefore, the study of language units that testify to the stylistic potential in the poetic scope of Anatoliy Pererva is relevant since the writer’s linguistic world was not an object of a separate scientific analysis. The purpose of the investigation is to characterize the peculiarities of the representation of stylistic means of lexical and syntactic nature in the poetic works by Anatoliy Pererva based on the material of his collection “Nebesna yasnist”. The realization of the defined goal involves the analysis of lexical and grammatical means of organizing the writer’s poetic narrative, the consideration of syntactic methods of his poetic language expressiveness, and the clarification of the stylistic potential of the revealed artistic and expressive means in the formation of the linguistic fabric of the poetic text. Therefore, the object of research is the language of Anatoliy Pererva's poetic collection “Nebesna yasnist”. The subject of the study is linguistic and artistic expressive and pictorial means of organizing the language fabric of a poetic work, which have a lexical and syntactic origin. The researcher states that stylistic component of a lexical and grammatical and syntactic nature are an organic part of the writer's poetic language space. And in particular, those based on the repetition of components (polyptoton, adnomination, prosapodosis, antanaclasis, homeoteleuton, anaphora, epiphora,), opposition (antithesis, oxymoron), and accumulation (gradation). The scientist concludes that the mentioned figurative and expressive means have a powerful stylistic potential and contribute to the reproduction of the main motives of the considered collection (the rapidity of life, thoughts about the end of the earthly journey, love for mother and faith in God).

This is done to define the nature of the work of art and enhance its artistic quality; to provide figurative representation of ideas; and to link factors that expand the potential impact on the reader. Like other linguistic tools, transitional verbs play a special role in the development of a person’s linguistic sensitivity and the creation and formation of artistic taste. In other words, we will attempt to explain the stylistic coloring of transitional words by examining and presenting them based on factual material. In this regard, examples from works of art from different genres will be provided. Stylistic connotation covers not only lexical units but also all linguistic tools in accordance with the conditions for expressing thought in the text. It is evident that words continue to be used with stylistic undertones in both works of art and everyday speech. However, their nature changes depending on the context: in certain circumstances, a stylistic connotation with a negative meaning can express a positive meaning, or vice versa, a stylistic connotation with a positive meaning can express a negative meaning. Linguistic tools of different levels, especially lexical units, have not only their inherent meaning but also stylistic coloring (vividness).

Abstract:
This article offers the results of the investigation of repetitions in the modern Spanish language. To understand the role of the repetitions in a certain text, first of all, it’s necessary to determine whether they are immanent in the language or culture, and, therefore, unmarked, or, on the contrary, carry some charge: stylistic, rhythmic or pragmatic. Such differentiation is carried out by means of the analysis and synthesis of the theoretic material (А. Аlonso, E. А. Llorach, J. Nogeira, V. Iovenko, V. Vinogradov, etc.), contrastive and comparative analysis. The results show the redundancy of the Spanish language in comparison with Russian, which accounts for the numerous unmarked repetitions in Spanish. On the other hand, the frequent use of repetitions as stylistic, semantic or rhythmic device becomes evident too. For the analysis, we chose some official documents, characterized by the absence of stylistic devices, and some appellative and literary texts (poetry by A. Carvajal, a novel by S. Puertolas, etc.), which are apriori aimed at the form and pragmatic effect. This approach helps achieve the most objective conclusions concerning the nature of the repetitions in a text. We considered lexical and grammar repetitions, grammar, semantic and concept repetitions. Phonetic and lexical repetitions, as the basic stylistic devices, have not been subjected to analysis, as their markedness is evident. The results of the research, presented in the article, may be useful both for the people studying the Spanish language in order to speak it correctly and to understand the pragmatic function of repetition, and for translators to decide whether to follow the structure and rhythm of the text if repetitions are marked, or to omit them when they are in the original text, should they be immanent in the language and the culture.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of lexical means used in modern English and Ukrainian advertising. The paper identifies the characteristic features and functions of an advertising text, analyzes its communicative tasks and lexical and stylistic techniques for achieving them. English-language advertising is characterized by the use of short, clear verb constructions, repetition to enhance the effect and a combination of synonymy, antonymy and homonymy. Advertisers actively use homonyms and wordplay to make slogans easy to remember and recognize. English-language advertising texts are also characterized by the widespread use of antonymic constructions, which helps to create a contrast between the product and its alternatives. Ukrainian advertising, on the other hand, demonstrates a complex multilayered structure that combines borrowings, nationally labeled words, and various lexical and stylistic devices such as synonymy, antonymy, and homonymy. The use of synonyms with positive connotations to create a stylistic effect of amplification is particularly noticeable. Homonymy in advertising is often used to create humorous or ironic effects. In addition, Ukrainian advertising widely uses the technique of repetition, which helps to keep the addressee's attention. Thus, the comparative analysis of English and Ukrainian advertising shows that both languages use a rich arsenal of lexical means to achieve the communicative goal. In English-language texts, there is a tendency for brevity and conciseness, while Ukrainian advertising demonstrates versatility, actively using slang, borrowings and author's neologisms, which makes it flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of society.
