Abstract:
There are six surviving manuscripts under the category of Subika namely Subika, Subika Achouba, Subika Laishaba, Subika Choudit, Subika Cheithil, and Thengrakhel Subika. For this paper the manuscript “Subika Laishaba'' has been discussed. Illustration of Subika Laishaba is the manuscript painting among the earliest surviving visual arts forms of Manipur. Though the advent of Subika Laishaba paintings has lately acquired from various individual collections, the painting possesses an interesting area of studying its visual elements and cultural values of Meitei community. The painting of Subika Laisaba is a composition of cultural motifs made by pre-existing features and other influences stimulated from their cultural worldviews. Such cultural ethics of scriber makes them to create a unique style seen as indication of establishing a thought of school in which cultural and regional features are highlighted. Subika Laishaba manuscripts represent the direct and authentic continuation of the tradition of Meitei cultural life projected through visual images. Though there is no particular founder mentioned in the royal chronicle/history known as Cheitharol Kumbaba, there may be a possibility that the art form may have existed when the writing tradition was introduced in the state. This paper is an attempt to study its purposes and visual language portrayed in the Subika Laishaba manuscripts to understand its school in the realm of visual art. This study of visual language may be able to work without judgment and self-criticism.

We show that clitic climbing is acquired early, that children are sensitive to the presence of proclisis triggers that favour clitic climbing, and that there is development of the knowledge of the verbs that allow clitic climbing. Taking into account the developmental patterns that show an early preference for clitic climbing, we discuss the notion of complexity in child language.

ResumenEn este artículo, mediante la técnica del deletreo, se hace un análisis textual de la película Hombre mirando al sudeste, del cineasta argentino Eliseo Subiela. Para este fin, se seleccionaron algunos fragmentos cuyo tema central es la religión, específicamente el proceso de anunciación, apoteosis, sentencia y muerte de Rantés, en conexión con el relato bíblico de Jesucristo, propio del cristianismo. Finalmente, se establecen algunos puentes con la teoría psicoanalítica de Freud.Palabras clave: pragmática, análisis textual, lenguaje cinematográfico, religión, psicoanálisis.AbstractThis article develops an interpretation of the movie “Man facing southeast” [originally “Hombre mirando al sudeste”] by Argentinean filmmaker Eliseo Subiela. In order to achieve this, specific fragments were selected. The main topic in these fragments is religion, especially the process of annunciation, apotheosis, sentence and death of Rantés, connected to the biblical story of Jesus Christ which is characteristic of Christianity. Finally, a connection is established with Freud’s psychoanalytical theory.Key words: Pragmatics, textual analysis, cinematographic language, religion, psychoanalysis.

As language undergoing language change, Brazilian Portuguese presents characteristics of both pro-drop and non-pro drop systems. This study investigates the acquisition of two properties assumed to be related to the null subject parameter—clitic-climbing and the that-t effect—by adult learners of Brazilian Portuguese who speak a pro-drop language (Spanish) (n = 11) and a non pro-drop language (English) (n =19) as either L1 or L2. Results of an acceptability judgment task showed that the non-native speakers overall converged on the grammars of the Brazilian Portuguese control group (n =19), but there were transfer effects from Spanish for the L1-Spanish speaking learners and from both Spanish and English in the L1-English speaking learners. We discuss the implications of these findings for the role of transfer in L3 acquisition.KEYWORDS: Null subject parameter. L3 acquisition. Brazilian Portuguese. RESUMO O português brasileiro, por estar em processo de mudanças, apresenta características tanto de sistemas pro-drop quanto de sistemas não pro-drop. Este estudo investiga a aquisição de duas propriedades que se assume que estão relacionadas ao parâmetro do sujeito nulo – a subida de clítico e o efeito that-t– por adultos aprendizes do português brasileiro, falantes de uma língua pro-drop (espanhol) (n = 11) e de uma língua não pro-drop (inglês) (n = 19), seja como L1 ou como L2. Os resultados de um teste de julgamento de aceitabilidade mostraram que, em geral, os falantes não nativos tenderam à/se aproximaram da gramática do grupo de controle formado por falantes de português brasileiro (n = 19). Porém, observaram-se efeitos de transferência do espanhol para os aprendizes falantes nativos de espanhol e transferências de ambas as línguas, espanhol e inglês, para os aprendizes falantes nativos de inglês. O presente texto tem por objetivo propor uma abordagem unificada para a posição de clíticos em predicados complexos em português brasileiro e em francês, a partir da noção de extensão de fases apresentada em Den Dikken (2007). A principal motivação para essa escolha consiste numa correlação entre perda do movimento do verbo e perda da morfologia de tempo, que seria um fator explicativo para a mudança nos clíticos dessas línguas. Nesse sentido, o artigo questiona uma proposta alternativa, segundo a qual a inclusão de uma projeção temporal encaixada seria a razão principal para a mudança para a não-subida de clíticos.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Clítico; fases sintáticas; movimento de núcleo; português brasileiro; francês. ABSTRACTThis text aims at proposing a unified analysis for clitic position in complex predicates in Brazilian Portuguese and French, developing the notion of phase extension put forward in Den Dikken (2007). The main motivation for this choice consists in a correlation between loss of verb movement and loss of tense morphology, an explanatory factor for the change in clitics in these languages. RESUMEN La investigación tiene como objetivo desarrollar polimedias para la cátedra de Lenguaje Musical en el nivel básico medio de educación en Ecuador. El trabajo investigativo evidencia como problema más representativo que la asignatura no cuenta con suficientes recursos didácticos sin recibir la influencia de nuevas técnicas y la aplicación de la tecnología. Se utilizó métodos que sustenten los elementos teóricos y las herramientas tecnológicas más idóneas en la preparación de la polimedia acorde al tipo de temática educativa; así como, la herramienta SocialBlade para medir y evaluar las polimedias del canal en YouTube. Entre los resultados se encuentra el procedimiento para crear una polimedia y la difusión del contenido en un canal de video en YouTube y la medición cuantitativa del número de visualizaciones, me gusta y no me gusta de las polimedias subidas al canal social; reflejándose la importancia de utilizar recursos tecnológicos en el proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje. POLIMEDIA: A WAY FOR THE DIFFUSION OF MUSICAL LANGUAGE ABSTRACT The objective of the research is to develop polimedias for the Chair of Musical Language at the basic level of education in Ecuador. We used methods that support the theoretical elements and the most suitable technological tools in the preparation of the polimedia according to the type of educational theme; as well as, the tool SocialBlade to measure and evaluate the polimedias of the channel on YouTube. Among the results is the process to create a polimedia and the diffusion of the content in a YouTube video channel and its subsequent measurement. VAN DE VELDE La première traduction polonaise de Het volkomen huwelijk (Le Mariage Parfait ; Leyde 1926), ouvrage de vulgarisation scientifique qui soulignait l’importance de la bonne connaissance des mécanismes de la sexualité humaine, a été publiée en 1935 et a été rééditée plusieurs fois avant et après la IIe guerre mondiale. En 1972, une nouvelle traduction est sortie chez un éditeur spécialisé en médecine, Państwowe Zakłady Wydawnictw Lekarskich (PZWL). Elle a ensuite connu plusieurs rééditions par différentes maisons d’édition, subissant à chaque fois une modification de sa présentation matérielle, et plus particulièrement de sa couverture, qui est un lieu stratégique pour l’éditeur, à qui appartient la décision des éléments qui s’y trouvent. Cette étude examine les couvertures et autres péritextes éditoriaux des versions successives de la première traduction et de la retraduction, pour montrer comment les transformations matérielles subies par ces éditions laissent entrevoir des changements concernant la fonction assignée à cet ouvrage par les éditeurs respectifs.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper deals with the information the translator adds to proper names in the target text (his readership does not share the same presuppositions as the readership of the original text). The paper is based on the linguistic use of the target culture, that is to say, in what the present journalistic texts are conventionally doing in both translated and non-translated texts. We work with journalistic texts mainly because they can be a basis to the translation of any pragmatic text, and we cannot forget that this is the most translated material. And after the description, analysis and explanation of these texts, we have confirmed that: a) proper names go through true shifts from the source text to the target text; b) some shifts are not as optional as Herting proposes; c) the addition — and at times the omission — of information, as much as sometimes ambiguity and literality show the creativity, the encyclopaedic knowledge and the common sense of the translator; and d) so much explanation surrounding names in the target text is one of the signs of their own translatability. Résumé Dans notre article nous abordons le sujet de l'information que le traducteur ajoute aux noms propres dans le texte d'arrivée (ses lecteurs ne partageant pas les mêmes présuppositions que les lecteurs du texte de départ). L'article se fonde sur l'usage linguistique de la culture cible, c'est-à-dire, à ce qui se fait de manière conventionnelle dans les textes de presse actuels, tant pour les textes traduits que pour les textes non traduits. Nous travaillons sur des articles de presse principalement parce qu'ils nous servent de base pour la traduction de tout texte pragmatique, car nous ne pouvons pas oublier que ce sont ces textes pragmatiques qui sont les plus traduits de nos jours. Après la description, l'analyse et l'explication de ces textes, nous avons pu vérifier que: a) les noms propres subiraient de vraies transformations lorsqu'ils passent du texte source au texte cible; b) quelques transformations subies ne sont pas aussi facultatives que le pense Herting; c) l'ajout (et parfois l'omission) d'information, de même que la tendence à l'ambiguïté et la traduction littérale parfois, révèlent la creativité, les connaissances encyclopédiques et le bon sens du traducteur; et d) toute cette information additionnelle vis-à-vis du nom propre est donc bien un des indices de sa possible traduction.

This study discusses the mnemonic method of remembering key words for middle school children. The background of this study is that many students at school find it difficult and less responsive to vocabulary mastery in students. Use this mnemonic method for keywords we apply in the eighth semester in middle school. To determine the effect of using the mnemonic method effectively for success, we apply the eighth semester students in high school. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The use of the mnemonic method for keywords in the eighth semester of middle school. Based on the post-test scores, learning uses the mnemonic method for keywords. Its value is 85.59, as an average. Mastering Arabic vocabulary among students before using the mnemonic method for data-based key words. The pre-test mean score of students' Arabic vocabulary mastery in the experimental semester was 66.07 and the mean score in the control class was 62.18. Abstract:
This study discusses the mnemonic method of remembering key words for middle school children. The background of this study is that many students at school find it difficult and less responsive to vocabulary mastery in students. Use this mnemonic method for keywords we apply in the eighth semester in middle school. To determine the effect of using the mnemonic method effectively for success, we apply the eighth semester students in high school. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The use of the mnemonic method for keywords in the eighth semester of middle school. Based on the post-test scores, learning uses the mnemonic method for keywords. Its value is 85.59, as an average. Mastering Arabic vocabulary among students before using the mnemonic method for data-based key words. The pre-test mean score of students' Arabic vocabulary mastery in the experimental semester was 66.07 and the mean score in the control class was 62.18. Abstract:
Background: Alopecia areata (AA) is a non-scarring hair loss disorder of autoimmune etiology. Objective: To familiarize physicians with the clinical presentation, diagnosis, evaluation, and management of pediatric alopecia areata. Methods: The search term "Alopecia areata" was entered into a Pubmed search. A narrow scope was applied to the categories of "epidemiology", "clinical diagnosis", "investigations", "comorbidities", and "treatment". Meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, clinical trials, observational studies, and reviews were included. Only papers published in the English language were included. A descriptive, narrative synthesis was provided of the retrieved articles. Results: AA is an autoimmune disease of unknown etiology. It is the third most common dermatologic presentation in children with a lifetime risk of 1-2%. Diagnosing AA can be made on the basis of the history and clinical findings. Patients will often present with patchy, non-scarring hair loss generally affecting the scalp. History may reveal a personal or family medical history of autoimmune or atopic disease or a recent stressful event. Tricoscopic examination will classically show “exclamation point hairs” and “yellow dots”. Nonspecific nail changes may be present. Other clinical variants include alopecia totalis, alopecia universalis, ophiasis, sisaipho, and Canitis subita. There are multiple treatment options for AA including conservative treatment, and topical, oral, and injectable medications. Conclusion: AA is an autoimmune disease with a heterogenous presentation and unpredictable clinical course. Although there is no cure for AA, there are many current treatment options available to help manage this disfiguring disease.

Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian yang bersifat asosiatif, yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara 2 variabel atau lebih. Dengan penelitian asosiatif dapat dibangun suatu teori yang berfungsi untuk menjelaskan, meramalkan dan mengontrol suatu gejala/fenomena dan bentuk penelitian kausal yang berarti menyebabkan atau mempengaruhi dan pengujian hipotesis antara variabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 48 responden dari pegawai Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Sanggau.Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis SPSS (Statistic Package for Sosial Science).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian big five berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kreativitas, penilaian kinerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kreativitas, dan pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kreativitas pegawai Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Sanggau.
