Submandibular space is part of the deep neck fascial spaces, bordered by the oral mucosa of the mouth floor on the above and the superficial layer on the deep cervical fascia on the bottom, as it extends from the mandible to hyoid bone. Submandibular space frequently involves odontogenic infections, which can cause significant mortality and morbidity. Open surgical incision and drainage are the treatment of choice for submandibular space abscesses. High signal intensity on CT (80 HU) and a concentric signal distribution on CT and MRI may suggest a thrombosed varix.

AbstractThis paper aims to report a case of radicular displacement to the submandibular space and to review the literature seeking reports of dental displacements / fragments published in the period from 2007 to 2017 in PubMed evidencing risk factors, prevention and forms of treatment. In this article a case of displacement of dental fragments to the submandibular space with immediate removal is reported. The third molar or its roots displacement into facial spaces is a rare situation. The preoperative surgical planning is fundamental to avoid this type of complication. The association of (1)

Study Design Case report. Objective A sialocele is a subcutaneous cavity containing saliva, caused by trauma or infection in the parotid or submandibular gland parenchyma, by ductal stenosis or glandular duct laceration with subsequent asymptomatic dilation and swelling. Many cases of parotid sialoceles have been published, but few cases of submandibular sialoceles occurring as a result of surgical trauma have been reported. The purpose of this article is to inform clinicians and to raise awareness about an unusual post-operative condition of a sialocele of the submandibular gland after treatm

Abstract:
Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours (MPNSTs) are a rare but aggressive form of soft tissue sarcoma with few reported cases in the anatomic location seen with the case presented here. This case involves a 23-year-old man presenting with a soft tissue mass under the mandible found to be a MPNST, which was investigated and fully excised. Adjuvant radiotherapy was used postoperatively. Although uncommon, these tumours have a poor prognosis and suitable management therefore needs to be put in place as soon as possible. Complete excision with negative margins and adjuvant radiotherapy are the
