Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is one of the most common malignancies of oral cavity. Metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a complex process involving detachment of cells from the tumor tissue, regulation of cell motility and invasion, proliferation and evasion through the lymphatic system or blood vessels. The metastasis may affect the prognosis. 1Since not only the suppression of primary lesion but also the presence or absence of metastasis in the cervical lymph nodes may greatly influence the outcome of oral cancer. 2, 3The submental lymph nodes are categories as

Level I includes the submental and submandibular triangles. Objective: To analyze the onset of lymphadenopathy (LAP) in children in terms of gender and age, explore its clinical manifestations and the specific lymph node areas affected, identify prevalent causes, and assess the outcomes of various treatment approaches. Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted between October 2021 and March 2023 at Rapareen Teaching Hospital for Children in Erbil City, which examined the lym

Abstract Introduction Interleukin 25 (IL-25) is an alarmin that binds to its receptor composed of IL-17RA and IL-17RB and is known to induce the production of type 2 cytokines, leading to T helper type 2 (Th2) inflammatory responses. Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an autoimmune and chronic disorder that causes inflammation, dryness, redness and irritation of the skin. It is well-documented that upregulated IL-25 expression is tightly correlated with the disease severity of AD patients, suggesting that the IL-25 pathway is a potential therapeutic target of AD. Background: Reconstruction of the glossectomy defect following surgery plays a pivotal role in a patient’s quality of life. Reconstruction of surgical defects following glossectomy has evolved greatly from locoregional flaps such as nasolabial, submental, infrahyoid, and pectoralis major myocutaneous flaps to microvascular free flaps (radial forearm free flap [RAFF], anterolateral thigh flap). Due to certain drawbacks, microvascular-free flaps are avoided; instead, local/regional flaps are preferred.
