Abstract:
In this paper, we consider several problems related to the so-called multi-valued Feng–Liu–Subrahmanyan contractions in complete metric spaces. Existence of the fixed points and of the strict fixed points, as well as data dependence and stability properties for the fixed point problem, are discussed. Some results are presented, under appropriate conditions, and some open questions are pointed out. Our results extend recent results given for multi-valued graph contractions and multi-valued Subrahmanyan contractions.

The brief survey seeks to highlight a few specific cases in India where, through his writings, lectures and discussions, Chandra made a lasting impact. It will be argued that although at a general, somewhat superficial level, Chandra is a light beacon to be followed, very few Indian astrophysicists reached a level where they could engage Chandra in a scientific discussion on a topic that interested him.

We remark that the second axiom, i.e., the one which shows the symmetry of the b-metric, remains unchanged. Abstract:
The idea of Asia as a unity has appealed both to Europeans interested in differentiating themselves from a threatening, if inferior, Asiatic ‘other’, and to Asians keen to mark their distance from an alien and alienating Europe and West. For both groups, Asia is a useful term of alterity, although the place of ‘us’ and ‘them’ is reversed. Near the beginning of his lecture Sanjay Subrahmanyam remarks that, ‘in the play between the -emic and the -etic, the insider's and the outsider's perspective, a concept like “Asia” falls decidedly on the side of the -etic’. This point is reinforced by the fa

AbstractRecent evidence indicates that momentum profits are sensitive to market conditions. We find that the profits are higher when the markets continue in the same state than when they transition to a different state. These findings support Daniel, Hirshleifer, and Subrahmanyam (1998), who suggest that investor overconfidence is higher when the markets continue in the same state (UP or DOWN) than when they reverse, predicting higher momentum profits in the former. In contrast, our evidence following DOWN markets is not consistent with the other competing models for the market-state condition

Abstract:
Since the 1970s and 1980s, significant contributions have been made by Weiss, Butnariu, Heilpern, Chitra, Subrahmanyam, and others, extending fixed-point theorems to fuzzy mappings and topological spaces. This paper provides two generalizations of two important fixed-point theorems, one provided by Butnariu and the other provided by Chitra. The first generalization ensures that, under certain conditions, an acyclic fuzzy mapping has a fixed point. The second result ensures the existence of a point in the intersection of two or more fuzzy mappings considering contractible finite dimensional ANR
