AbstractHow does EU legislation impact the Member States? Arguably, no other issue is more closely connected to national sovereignty. However, existing research has thus far failed to deliver a univocal answer to this question. Instead, quantitative research – from political scientists and public administration scholars – has resulted in very diverging conclusions. By contrast, the legal perspective on the relationship between the EU and its Member States has been dominated by a focus on the principles of conferral and subsidiarity, as well as on the delineation and use of EU powers. Abstract Introduction Current treatment for multiple myeloma (MM) is not curative, but aims to provide patients with improved disease control to extend survival. Newly diagnosed MM (NDMM) can have significant implications on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of a patient and increase the economic burden to both the patient and healthcare system. Strict protocols followed for clinical trials mean results seen in clinical trials may not reflect routine clinical practice. To assess the burden of illness of NDMM, systematic reviews of real-world humanistic and economic data was conducted.

China Shale-Gas Field Sets Production Record Sinopec recorded China’s highest daily output of shale gas at 20.62 million cubic meters (Mcm) at its Fuling shale-gas field in Chongqing, China, a key gas source for the Sichuan-East gas pipeline. The first major commercial shale-gas project in China, Fuling has continuously broken records for the shortest gasfield drilling cycle while significantly increasing the drilling of high-quality reservoirs covering more than 3 million m, according to Sinopec. Gasfield production construction was also expanded to raise production capacity. The company said

Abstract BACKGROUND: Peripheral blood progenitor cell (PBPC) mobilization strategies vary considerably. Optimization of this critical aspect of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) requires efficient use of resources including apheresis kits, machine run time, nursing and cell processing time and consumables. Equally important is the patient experience, which is strongly influenced by collection days and caregiver time that reduces their economic productivity and raises their expenses. We developed a mobilization algorithm designed to collect the target number of cells on
