Taking government preference into consideration, we consider a three-stage game model to compare the differences of innovation subsidy and product subsidy. The findings reveal that stronger preference to consumers’ welfare leads to higher subsidy rates, which benefit not only consumers but also firms. This study investigates the capitalization of agricultural subsidies in South Korea by analyzing data from the Farm Household Economy Survey. Employing a fixed-effects model, our analysis reveals that a 1% increase in per-area subsidies is related with a 0.06~0.08% rise in per-area rental rates. This thesis sheds light on certain macroeconomic aspects of the housing market. Chapter 1 explores a novel channel for house price bubble formation: the demand for housing consumption. I argue that the lower the demand for housing consumption, the larger the maximum bubble size, and the larger economies' vulnerability to house price bubbles. This paper explicitly tests the impact of the most recent of such interventions: a subsidy to the mortgage interest rate. The results show that the subsidy boosted mortgage loans by around 38 percent. However, it is also found that real interest rates went up by 09 percent, i.e., there has been an incomplete pass-through of the subsidy to the consumer.
