Abstract:
Purpose Employee suggestion scheme (ESS) have existed for many years and many articles have been published over the past decades. They have been studied from many perspectives to illustrate their objectives, nature, content, process, significance and the benefits. Arguments have also been made with respect to success and failures of the suggestion schemes. Although the corporations widely use the suggestion schemes to elicit the creative ideas of their employees, sustaining a suggestion scheme is still a challenge. The purpose of this paper is to extract the critical success factors and critical success criteria to the suggestion scheme and to discuss the importance of these factors on sustainability of suggestion system. This is a literature review paper. Design/methodology/approach This is a literature review paper. The research used the university library to search for the relevant material. The university has an access for 25,000 journals. As the university had the subscription to main databases such as EBASCO, SCIENCE DIRECT, EMERALD, Google Scholar and WILEY, a search was performed on these databases using the key terms. The keywords used in the searches included: Suggestion System, Suggestion Scheme, Employee Participation, Employee Involvement, Innovation, Employee Creativity and Ideas Management. The Google Scholar citation tab was also searched further to identify any related articles. The citations of resulting articles were scrutinized further for further clues. Findings This paper identifies 23 critical success factors and 9 critical success criteria for suggestion schemes. It also discusses the interconnection between the critical success factors and the critical success criteria. Further, the frequency of each of the factors is also presented. It recognizes the lack of work on the assessment framework for sustainability of a suggestion scheme. Practical implications This paper should be of value to practitioners of suggestion schemes and to academics who are interested in knowing how this program has evolved and where it is today and what future it holds. It offers practical help to an individual starting out on research on the sustainability of suggestion schemes. Originality/value The paper attempts to put together many factors discussed in the literature and proposed a definition to define the sustainability of the suggestion system and categorized them as critical success factors and critical success criteria.

Abstract:
Abstract Employee Suggestion Schemes have been used in organizations for a long time due to the fact that they enable fostering of creative ability of employees. However, they must be used effectively and in a sustainable manner to better the creativity and innovation capacity of organizations in order to improve competitive advantage. Therefore there is a need to understand the maturity of Employee Suggestion Schemes. This paper proposes a new, structured evaluation tool for assessing an organizational Employee Suggestion Scheme maturity. It suggests five building blocks: Leadership and Work Environment, System Capability, System Effectiveness, Organizational Encouragement and System Barriers, each of them characterized by several relevant indicators and an assessment/grading scale in order for an organization to be able to determine the maturity level of their Employee Suggestion Scheme as: Initial stage, Development stage or Advanced stage. Organizations should apply this tool to assess the maturity level of their Employee Suggestion Scheme and draw a roadmap for its improvements.

Abstract:
Innovation at work is mainly driven by employees' ideas. This paper reports a study of the effectiveness (e.g., rate of suggestion making) of schemes for capturing these ideas. Based on a survey of 182 UK organizations, the study shows that decentralized suggestion schemes and work-based systems are more effective than centralized and informal schemes. The extent of planning, publicity, feedback and management support given to the scheme, and the type of reward offered to employees, also independently account for variation in effectiveness. Publicity and non-monetary rewards, though, are found to be most decisive, regardless of scheme type. Learning culture also affects the rate of suggestion making, though the effect is greater for centralized and decentralized schemes than for the others. The key implication of the findings is that by paying particular attention to how they are advertised and how participation is rewarded, organizations could improve the return on their idea capture schemes.

Abstract:
The immovable nature of passing on packages through multi -bounce middle hubs is a critical problem in the versatile impromptu organizations (MANETs). The disseminated versatile hubs set up associations with structure the MANET, which may incorporate childish and getting into mischief hubs. Suggestion based trust the board is proposed in the creating as a system to evaluate through the acting up hubs while looking for a bundle conveyance course. Nonetheless, building a trust model that embraces suggestions by different hubs in the organization is a difficult issue because of the danger of deceptive proposals like reviling, voting form stuffing, and conspiracy. we examines the issues identified with assaults presented by getting rowdy hubs while proliferating suggestions in the current trust models. We propose a suggestion based trust model with a safeguard plot, which uses grouping method to progressively sift through assaults identified with exploitative proposals between certain time dependent on number of collaborations, similarity of data and closeness between the hubs. We evaluate the trust degree as two cases like direct and indirect trust values between neighboring nodes from source. To form a clustering routing network from similar trust values from S to D.The model is experimentally tried under a few portable and detached geographies in which hubs experience changes in their local prompting regular course changes. The observational investigation shows heartiness and exactness of the trust model in a dynamic MANET climate.

Abstract:
The aim of the paper consists in suggestion, theoretical and experimental justification of the principal workability of the electrical power amplifier proposed scheme consisting of two sequential resonant circuits with the regulated level of the electromagnetic coupling between them. Scientific novelty is determined by the formulated aim an achievement of which is based on conclusions of the theoretical analysis and experiments fulfilled for the acting model of the proposed electrical power amplifier. The base analytical expressions for the electromagnetic processes analysis in the scheme of the suggested resonant power amplifier are got. The reliability of the found analytical dependencies was shown with help of the limit passages to the according to analogs in the authoritative special publications. As the conducted experiments have shown that resonant conditions in the circuits of the suggested electrical power amplifier are fulfilling with high strictness (the frequency discrepancies are no more than ~ 0.8 %). The discrepancies between the measurement and the calculation results are quite small and can be explained by the external electromagnetic fields influence (the fields superposition of the "output" solenoid and the coupling transformer). In whole, the got results are illustrating the real possibilities of the power multiple amplifying (~35 times) in the suggested scheme of the electromagnetic resonant converter which was based on the advancement of the Tesla transformer creator ideas.

Abstract:
A thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC) is employed to a transmission line in order to enhance the usable capacity of the present as well as upgraded lines, improve system stability, reduce losses, and improve power flow control capability. However, in an abnormal situation, the TCSC may transit from the existing operation mode to the other mode according to its control system and protection strategy. There is much difference in the impedance of the TCSC between each mode. This threatens the reliability of the conventional protection system, especially the distance relay, that works based on the measurement of line impedance. In this paper, we suggest a new protection scheme for a distance relay of a transmission line equipped with a TCSC. In the suggested method, in order to mitigate the effect of the TCSC in the fault loop, the TCSC injected voltage is subtracted from the measured phase voltage before supplying the voltage signal to the distance relay. The suggested scheme was verified by a real time digital simulator (RTDS)-based closed-loop test bed of a protective relay. The effect of the TCSC in the fault loop was completely mitigated. The distance relay works properly with the suggested scheme.

Abstract:
Purpose Past studies have noted the important role of employee suggestion system (ESS) within the organizations. The use of ESS has been shown to help organizations address improvement- and cost-related problems. The advantages of ESSs are not limited to improving a work-related performance but can also lead to innovations through employees’ creativity. Creative ideas are very important for organizations to build its competitive advantage. Therefore, it is important to identify and understand the factors that contribute to the effectiveness of employee suggestion scheme and its success which has not been well-studied. This study aims to provide decision-makers within organizations with a deeper understanding of the factors that need to be considered in organizing and managing ESSs for its maximum effectiveness Design/methodology/approach An analysis of 273 surveys collected from several organizations with ESS experience in the United Arab Emirates was conducted. Survey scales were developed based on previous research and hypotheses are stated. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Correlation analysis were used to understand the interrelations among the five factors Findings Results suggest that the four critical success factors, namely, system capability, organizational encouragement, leadership support and employee participation, are positively related to the ESS outcome and its valuable predictors. Some managerial implications of the results of this study are important to note. It is critical for managers to establish rewards, evaluation, feedback and awareness of ESS. Originality/value On the basis of a possible future extended research scope in combination with a qualitative research methodology, one could deepen the understanding of influence of country of origin and of institutional mechanisms that might explain higher effectiveness of ESS outcome This appears to be the first published research study to link critical success factors for maximum effectiveness of ESSs.

Abstract:
A thorough welfare evaluation performed as part of a general phenotype characterization for both transgenic and traditional mouse strains could not only contribute to the improvement of the welfare of laboratory animals, but could also be of benefit to scientists, laboratory veterinarians and the inspecting authorities. A literature review has been performed to identify and critically evaluate already existing protocols for phenotype and welfare characterization. There are several relevant schemes available, among others the SHIRPA method, the modified score sheet of Morton and Griffiths, the FRIMORFO phenotype characterization scheme and the behavioural phenotype schemes as described by Crawley. These protocols have been evaluated according to four goals: Their ability (1) to reveal any special needs or problems with a transgenic strain, (2) to cover the informational needs of the purchaser/user of the strain, (3) to refine the welfare of the transgenic animal model by identifying relevant humane endpoints, (4) to prevent the duplication of animal models that have already been developed. The protocols described are useful for characterizing the phenotype and judging welfare disturbances, however the total amount of information and the degree of detail varies considerably from one scheme to another. We present a proposal regarding the practical application of the various schemes that will secure proper treatment and the identification of humane endpoints. It is advocated that with every purchase of a particular strain, an instruction document should accompany the strain. This document needs to give detailed descriptions of the typical characteristics of the strain, as well as necessary actions concerning relevant treatment and humane endpoints. At the moment no such documents are required. The introduction of these types of documents will contribute to improvements in animal welfare as well as experimental results in laboratory animal experimentation.

AbstractIn this study long bubble rising in a narrow channel was investigated using multiphase lattice Boltzmann method. The problem is known as a Bretherton or Taylor bubble flow [2] and is used here to verify the performance of the scheme proposed by [13]. The scheme is modified by incorporation of multiple relaxation time (MRT) collision scheme according to the original suggestion of the author. The purpose is to improve the stability of the method. The numerical simulation results show a good agreement with analytic solution provided by [2]. Moreover the convergence study demonstrates that the method achieves more than the first order of convergence. The paper investigates also the influence of simulation parameters on the interface resolution and shape.

Abstract:
This paper addresses the problem of linguistic means of suggestive influence. Suggestive influence is viewed as engrafting into the individuals’ psychic certain ideas, feelings, emotions, or other psychophysiological states bypassing their critical rational thinking. It is stated that suggestion works at the level of structure, specifically, at the level of syntactic arrangement of speech, creating persistent rhythmic-syntactic patterns that grow familiar and build anticipation switching off rationality, and making comprehension subconscious. The study is based on the structural and cognitive analysis of the syntax of Obama’s and Cameron’s political speeches. The cognitive analysis employs the instruments provided by L. Talmy’s FIGURE-GROUND construal. The analysis reveals that the syntax of the analysed political speeches is based on the three structural-semantic patterns of arranging predications: the structural-semantic incorporation, the semantic incorporation and the chain attachment. The structural-semantic incorporation and the chain attachment are underpinned by the linear cognitive scheme of changing the listeners’ focus of attention. The linear scheme is natural for the development of discourse. It sets the prevailing rhythmic-syntactic pattern of a political speech. Since this pattern is predictable, it serves to automatize perception and weaken rational evaluation of the speech content. The semantic incorporation is underpinned by the non-linear cognitive scheme of changing the listeners’ focus of attention. This scheme goes contrary to the natural development of discourse. It breaks the prevailing rhythmic-syntactic pattern and makes the listeners concentrate on what is being said. The change of patterns ensures the listeners’ interest to the speech.

Abstract:
AimTo look at how the Yellow Card Scheme is used by health care professionals (HCPs) in child health.MethodsAn online SurveyMonkey questionnaire was devised to look at how healthcare professionals (HCPs) have used the Yellow Card Scheme in clinical practice. It comprised of 10 questions (9 multiple choice and 1 freestyle text). What type of healthcare professional are you? Are you aware of the Yellow Card reporting scheme? Have you ever used the Yellow Card Scheme to report an adverse drug reaction? If yes, how did you make the report? (If no, select N/A) If you haven’t ever reported a reaction, would you know how to? Have you ever completed an e learning module about the Yellow Card Scheme? Are you aware that parents can report adverse drug reactions using the Yellow Card Scheme? Have you ever been aware of an adverse drug reaction but decided not to report it? If yes, what was the reason you chose not to report it? (If no, select N/A) Can you think of any ways to make the Yellow Card Scheme more accessible to healthcare professionals? It was piloted on 5 HCPS and minor textural revisions made. The questionnaire was then undertaken via face-to-face interviews during June 2018.Results50 healthcare professionals completed the questionnaire: 16 doctors, 13 nurses, 8 pharmacists, 9 medical students, 2 nursing students and 2 pharmacy technicians. 43/50 were aware of the Yellow Card Scheme (10 undergraduates and 33 postgraduates). 18 participants had used the Yellow Card whilst 32 had not reported an adverse drug event. Out of the 32 respondents who had never reported a reaction, 13 (7 undergraduates and 6 postgraduates) said that they would not know how to report a reaction if required. Only 9 had completed an online e learning module about the Yellow Card scheme. 30 participants were aware that parents could report using the scheme. 10 participants had been aware of an adverse drug reaction but decided not to report it. The most common reason for this was being too busy. The most common suggestion on how to improve accessibility to the Yellow Card Scheme was the implementation of a mobile phone application.ConclusionMost participants were aware of the Yellow Card scheme although undergraduates less so. Many had reported, although some had chosen not to report because they were: too busy; not being concerned enough; not knowing how to; having forgotten. An app already exists, but awareness of this appears low, as it was the commonest suggestion to aid the low reporting.

Full text
Abstract:
Following Karwoski et al. (1942), it is proposed that cross-sensory correspondences can arise from extensive, bidirectional cross-activation between dimensions of connotative meaning. If this account is correct, the same set of cross-sensory correspondences (e.g., smallness with brightness, brightness with high pitch, high pitch with sharpness) should emerge regardless of the sensory channel (visual, auditory or tactile) that is probed. To test this prediction, participants rated a range of visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli on a series of rating scales relating to different dimensions of connotative meaning. The same set of cross-sensory correspondences emerged from all types of stimulus variation. This supports the suggestion that cross-sensory correspondences can reflect reciprocal interactions between dimensions of connotative meaning, and indicates that Spence’s (2011) theoretical framework might be usefully extended to include semantically-based correspondences.

Abstract:This article discusses the suggestion of having the notion of solidarity as the foundational value for welfare scheme reforms. Solidarity is an emerging concept in bioethical deliberations emphasizing the need for value-oriented discussion in revising healthcare structures, and the notion has been contrasted with liberal justice and rights. I suggest that this contrast is unnecessary, flawed, and potentially counterproductive. As necessary as the sense of solidarity is in a society, it is an insufficient concept to secure the goals related to social responsibility. The discussion on solidarity is also based on a questionable sense of nostalgia. Furthermore, solidarity and liberal justice share essential objectives concerning welfare schemes; therefore, the question arises whether the proper comparison should in the first place be within justice and solidarity.

Abstract:
Nagel has argued that the ‘mind-body’ problem, as traditionally conceived, is insoluble. His challenge to philosophers is to devise a metaphysical scheme that incorporates materialist concepts in describing first person experience and mentalistic concepts in describing third person experience, such that the internal relations between the concepts thereby constructed are necessary. Nagel's own suggestion, a scheme not unlike the ‘underlying process’ schemes of the physical sciences, seems to lead him towards a covert materialism. Progress can be made in meeting the challenge by tackling the problem first by taking the units in each ‘sphere’ to be brains and persons. I show that a metaphysics based on the metaphor of person defined tasks and materially defined tools does satisfy both Nagel's challenge conditions. To devise a scheme for qualia and brain-states I turn back to Locke's presentation of the primary/secondary quality distinction. This depends on the concept of a causal power, grounded in material states of the world. While this scheme is inadequate, a variation, based on Gibson's concept of an affordance, and drawing on Bohr's resolution of the seeming incompatibility between wave and particle ontologies for physics, is promising. The world, whatever it is, affords material states to our perceptual apparatus, and mental states to our proprioceptual apparatus. The mental states/brain states duality is not a duality of types of states, which might stand in causal relations to one another, but is a duality of means of access to two classes of affordances of whatever the world is. There is no mind-body problem in the traditional sense, namely ‘How could a material state cause or be caused by a mental state?’

Abstract:
Attribute-based encryption (ABE) is a good choice for one-to-many communication and fine-grained access control of the encryption data in a cloud environment. Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) allows cloud servers to make valid operations on encrypted data without decrypting. Attribute-based fully homomorphic encryption (ABFHE) from lattices not only combines the bilateral advantages/facilities of ABE and FHE but also can resist quantum attacks. However, in the most previous ABFHE schemes, the growth of ciphertext size usually depends on the total number of system’s attributes which leads to high communication overhead and long running time of encryption and decryption. In this paper, based on the LWE problem on lattices, we propose an attribute-based fully homomorphic scheme with short ciphertext. More specifically, by classifying the system’s attributes and using the special structure matrix in MP12, we remove the dependency of ciphertext size on system’s attributes ℓ and the ciphertext size is no longer increased with the total number of system’s attributes. In addition, by introducing the function G − 1 in the homomorphic operations, we completely rerandomize the error term in the new ciphertext and have a very tight and simple error analysis using sub-Gaussianity. Besides, performance analysis shows that when ℓ = 2 and n = 284 according to the parameter suggestion given by Micciancio and Dai et al., the size of ciphertext in our scheme is reduced by at least 73.3%, not to mention ℓ > 2 . The larger the ℓ , the more observable of our scheme. The short ciphertext in our construction can not only reduce the communication overhead but also reduce the running time of encryption and decryption. Finally, our scheme is proved to be secure in the standard model.

Abstract:
The conventional readout of one-transistor–one-capacitor dynamic random-access memories (1T–1C DRAMs) depends on using a sense amplifier to develop the bitline voltage and settle it to the voltage of the power supply, [Formula: see text], or to 0[Formula: see text]V depending on whether the stored data is “1” or “0,” respectively. However, using the sense amplifier makes the reading process sluggish. In this paper, a capacitive-voltage divider-based readout scheme is proposed. According to this scheme, the developed bitline voltage is converted into a pulse with a certain starting time. Specifically, this pulse appears at a later time in case of “0” storage than that if a “1” is stored, thus the proposed scheme is aptly called “time-domain readout.” The effects of parameter and component mismatches and technology scaling on the proposed scheme are investigated. The proposed scheme is analyzed quantitatively with a suggestion given to widen the time gap between the starting times of the pulses corresponding to the “0” and “1” states. The proposed scheme is verified by simulation adopting the 45 nm CMOS technology with [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]V. According to the simulation results, percentage savings of 68.8%, 56.8%, and 32% in the read-access time, the read-cycle time, and the average power-delay product, respectively, are shown. The proposed scheme requires approximately 40% extra area overhead for the reading circuitry. Also, a noise analysis is performed and it is found that the device noise does not affect the proposed scheme significantly.

Full text
Abstract:
Dual receiver encryption (DRE), being originally conceived at CCS 2004 as a proof technique, enables a ciphertext to be decrypted to the same plaintext by two different but dual receivers and becomes popular recently due to itself useful application potentials such secure outsourcing, trusted third party supervising, client puzzling, etc. Identity-based DRE (IB-DRE) further combines the bilateral advantages/facilities of DRE and identity-based encryption (IBE). Most previous constructions of IB-DRE are based on bilinear pairings, and thus suffers from known quantum algorithmic attacks. It is interesting to build IB-DRE schemes based on the well-known post quantum platforms, such as lattices. At ACISP 2018, Zhang et al. gave the first lattice-based construction of IB-DRE, and the main part of the public parameter in this scheme consists of 2 n + 2 matrices where n is the bit-length of arbitrary identity. In this paper, by introducing an injective map and a homomorphic computation technique due to Yamada at EUROCRYPT 2016, we propose another lattice-based construction of IB-DRE in an even efficient manner: The main part of the public parameters consists only of 2 p n 1 p + 2 matrices of the same dimensions, where p ( ≥ 2 ) is a flexible constant. The larger the p and n, the more observable of our proposal. Typically, when p = 2 and n = 284 according to the suggestion given by Peikert et al., the size of public parameters in our proposal is reduced to merely 12% of Zhang et al.’s method. In addition, to lighten the pressure of key generation center, we extend our lattice-based IB-DRE scheme to hierarchical scenario. Finally, both the IB-DRE scheme and the HIB-DRE scheme are proved to be indistinguishable against adaptively chosen identity and plaintext attacks (IND-ID-CPA).

Abstract:
This very large training scheme was formed at the suggestion of the then newly appointed Professor of Psychiatry, Ian Brockington, who saw that in the existing rotations the balance between specialty and general posts was very uneven. He also argued convincingly that it would attract more trainees of high calibre and improve the morale and enthusiasm for training of the consultants, particularly in those rotations which had difficulty recruiting junior doctors or had failed to achieve more than provisional approval by the Royal College on repeated accreditation visits. The new scheme was launched in 1984 following the establishment of a Steering Committee including representatives of the psychiatric divisions of the five Birmingham Health Authorities and the adjacent Sandwell and Solihull Health Authorities, of the University Department and of the various specialties such as child psychiatry. All the Authorities agreed to pay jointly for a clerical officer to service the scheme and Solihull undertook to provide accommodation and a Medical Personnel Officer with specific responsibility for the scheme. A senior universally respected Clinical Tutor, Eddy Sethna, was elected Organising Tutor and given full authority to manage the rotation, reporting twice yearly to the Steering Committee which would advise on any difficulties which he could not resolve directly with trainees, trainers or divisions and would agree additions or modifications to the scheme.

What started as a potentially valuable initiative at Kings & Company was threatening to degenerate into a routine system of rewarding a handful of employees who were brave and lucky enough to get their suggestions pass through multiple gates of evaluation. The company is in the business of manufacturing and selling home appliances in the Indian market. Its financials bear evidence of its success as a business. The CEO, Prakash Parekh, believed in the creative potential of individual employees and wanted to harness it to create sustainable value for the company. He, therefore, conceived of and implemented an employee suggestion scheme (ESS) whereby each employee could give suggestions to improve aspects related to his/her area of work, operations and business. The case describes how the ESS at Kings & Company has evolved from 2013, when it was initiated, till 2017. These changes are juxtaposed with a steady decline in employee satisfaction during the same period. Worried with such a trend, Parekh asks Uday Gupta, GM Human Resources, to review the ESS and recommend further changes, including dropping it altogether.

Abstract:
In our recent paper, ‘Semantic generality, input frequency and the acquisition of syntax’ (Journal of Child Language31, 61–99), we presented data from two-year-old children to examine the question of whether the semantic generality of verbs contributed to their ease and stage of acquisition over and above the effects of their typically high frequency in the language to which children are exposed. We adopted two different categorization schemes to determine whether individual verbs should be considered to be semantically general, or ‘light’, or whether they encoded more specific semantics. These categorization schemes were based on previous work in the literature on the role of semantically general verbs in early verb acquisition, and were designed, in the first case, to be a conservative estimate of semantic generality, including only verbs designated as semantically general by a number of other researchers (e.g. Clark, 1978; Pinker, 1989; Goldberg, 1998), and, in the second case, to be a more inclusive estimate of semantic generality based on Ninio's (1999a,b) suggestion that grammaticalizing verbs encode the semantics associated with semantically general verbs. Under this categorization scheme, a much larger number of verbs were included as semantically general verbs.

Abstract:
Abstract There have been many attempts at classifying the semantic modification relations (ℜ) of N + N compounds but this work has not led to the acceptance of a definitive scheme, so that devising a reusable classification is a worthwhile aim. The scope of this undertaking is extended to other binominal lexemes, i.e. units that contain two thing-morphemes without explicitly stating ℜ, like prepositional units, N + relational adjective units, etc. The 25-relation taxonomy of Bourque (2014) was tested against over 15,000 binominal lexemes from 106 languages and extended to a 29-relation scheme (“Bourque2”) through the introduction of two new reversible relations. Bourque2 is then mapped onto Hatcher’s (1960) four-relation scheme (extended by the addition of a fifth relation, similarity, as “Hatcher2”). This results in a two-tier system usable at different degrees of granularities. On account of its semantic proximity to compounding, metonymy is then taken into account, following Janda’s (2011) suggestion that it plays a role in word formation; Peirsman and Geeraerts’ (2006) inventory of 23 metonymic patterns is mapped onto Bourque2, confirming the identity of metonymic and binominal modification relations. Finally, Blank’s (2003) and Koch’s (2001) work on lexical semantics justifies the addition to the scheme of a third, superordinate level which comprises the three Aristotelean principles of similarity, contiguity and contrast.

Abstract This paper is a case study. After formulating three norms for critical assessment of argumentation (section 1), I give a brief overview of Galileo’s argumentative strategy in his Dialogue and present his argument for the cause of the tides, which appears as an argument by analogy (section 2). I then discuss possible reconstructions of this argumentation, with one particular suggestion in detail. These arguments seem to fall short, given the aforementioned set of norms (section 3). This leads to my own proposal of Galileo’s argument. I defend this proposal and it’s general idea - that is, the argument’s pattern. It will be classified as ‘interventionist’ and useful regarding the goals of critical assessment (section 4). Finally, I suggest that the pattern of argument is applicable to other cases and useful for applied theory of science (section 5).

Lately, localization and tracking issues have received a remarkable attention in WSNs, as accomplishing high localization accuracy when low energy is used, is much needed. In this paper, a new method and standards-compliant scheme according to the incorporation of GPS location data into the IPv6 address of WSN nodes is suggested. The suggestion is likewise others which depends on ground-truth anchor nodes, with a difference of using the network address to deliver the information. The findings from the results revealed that perfect GPS coordinates can be conducted in the IPv6 address as well as with the transmission radius of the node, and the information is significantly adequate to predict a node’s location. The location scheme performance is assessed in OMNet++ simulation according to the positioning error and the power metrics used. Moreover, some improvement practices to increase the precision of the node location are suggested.

Abstract The Riester pension was well thought out, but badly done. It is primarily the agents and insurance companies who benefit from Riester, while consumers hardly benefit at all – and if they do, it is only because of the generous state subsidy. The reform proposals to date do not eliminate the deficits, but are rather a restructuring plan for the supply side. However, private pension contracts should also pay off without subsidies. State-organised standard products in Sweden or Great Britain show how such efficiency can be achieved. The German “Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband” has made a suggestion in this respect, the “Extrarente”: a public body pools consumer demand and can thus cost-effectively organise their capital investment on a share scheme basis.
