Abstract:
Syftet med den här artikeln är att belysa hur förespråkare för den språkdidaktiska metoden suggestopedi konstruerar 1) problemet med att vuxna med utomeuropeisk språkbakgrund inte lär sig tillräckligt snabbt samt 2) lösningen, det vill säga hur denna problematik kan och bör bemötas enligt involverade projektaktörer. Detta görs genom en kritisk diskursanalys av sex strategiskt utvalda texter som alla framhåller suggestopedi som en fruktbar metod och som alla knyter an till projekt finansierade av Europeiska socialfonden. Analysen genomförs i fem steg. I det första steget identifieras hur problemet med att de vuxna inte lär sig snabbt nog konstrueras av aktörer som är involverade i projekten och i det andra steget identifieras vilka lämpliga åtgärder som föreslås i syfte att adressera det uppfattade problemet. Steg tre packar upp det nätverk av praktiker i vilken Europeiska socialfonden är en central aktör. Därefter belyses motstridigheter och luckor som trädde fram via analysen liksom potentiella metodologiska problem. De slutsatser som går att dra handlar om att det finns kritiska aspekter att beakta både när det gäller hur de vuxna med utländsk bakgrund konstrueras och vad beträffar den tillämpade didaktiska metoden.

This research is meant to find that qirā’ah is one of important factors to see Arabic achievement as well as istimā’, kalām and kitābah. Other factors are from the methods of teaching like: TPR (Total Physical Response), Silent way, and Community Language Learning and suggestopedia method. In this paper the writer limits the problem by focusing on teaching qirā’ah descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia method. The writer formulates the problem of this paper. The formulation is "How does the teacher teach descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia to senior high school students at State Islamic Senior High school (MAN) Model jambi”. This paper is significant because it will be very useful for senior high school students, Its hoped that when the teachers apply the suggestopedia method, the students can learn qirā’ah in more enjoyable and fun environment. This paper is also important for teachers. It is hoped that they will have wider and deeper understanding of teaching methods in general, particularly suggestopedia method in teaching qirā’ah.

This Matter is shown with the result of student activity observation in each every meeting, that and enthusiasm and activity of student progressively mount during the study process. (3) Study by using this suggestopedia method been expressed is effective, this matter is shown with result of student activity observation, teacher activity, and enquette post-test result Abstrak:Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi metode suggestopedia dalam membangun self-confidence (kepercayaan diri) pada pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VIII MTs Satu Atap Sampano. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIb sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing bejumlah 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menggunakan data post-test berupa angket kepercayaan diri siswa, sedangkan untuk analisisnya menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Metode suggestopedia baik diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VIII MTs Satu Atap Sampano. Antusiasme dan keaktifan siswa semakin meningkat selama proses pembelajaran. (2) Setelah penerapan metode Suggestopedia hasil kepercayaan diri kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. (3) Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode suggestopedia ini telah dinyatakan efektif, hal ini berdasarkan observasi aktivitas siswa, aktivitas guru, dan hasil post-test angket kepercayaan diri telah mencapai kriteria yang telah ditentukan.

One of the innovative learning methods today is the Suggestopedia method. This article aims to examine the theory of suggestopedia and its implications in learning Arabic writing skills (insyā’). The research method of this article uses a literature review. Sources of data obtained from the exploration of literature related literature studies. Data is examined critically and deeply through data triangulation. The results of the analysis of this article are that the suggestopedia method has implications in learning Arabic writing skills (insyā’) on several aspects, including aspects of learning objectives, aspects of learning techniques, aspects of learning strategies, aspects of instructional media, aspects of the learning environment, and aspects of learning levels.

Abstract This paper aims to investigate if suggestopedia, a teaching method that advocates “learning with both brains and learning while relaxing”, could help reduce interpreting anxiety and improve interpreting results when applied to interpreting classes. By using this teaching method in an experimental class and comparing the interpreting quality with that of the control class, the paper draws conclusions on the influence of suggestopedia in reducing interpreting anxiety. Two interpreting results and two questionnaires on interpreting anxiety, one before using the method and the other after, are collected to analyze the link between suggestopedia and interpreting anxiety. The experiment took place over eight weeks and involved 51 students. The experiment focused on English-Chinese consecutive interpretation.

Abstract:
Speaking is an important skill to communicate in the globalization era. We cannot deny the failure is caused by many problems. The success of the learning is involved in complex things, especially in the lecturer’s ability in learning and teaching. Such as the interesting material, the using of media, the learning approach and strategy, the classroom management, school environment, completely facilitation, and many other aspects. The objective of this research is to find out the effect of using suggestopedia to the students’ speaking ability. The group had taught by using suggestopedia. It had conducted a pre-testing them first, then gave them treatment using suggestopedia and the last conducted a post-test. The instrument was used oral performance test. The criteria of the performance test scoring were a fluency, accuracy, content, and pronunciation. According to the result of statistical calculation, it is obtained the value of (t-observation) is 8,387 and the value of “tc” (t-critical) from the df (31) on degree of significance of 0,05 % is 1.6955. Based on the finding of this study it can be concluded that using suggestopedia method in increasing students’ speaking ability is effective.

Abstract:
This study investigates the effects of Suggestopedia method with wordwall picture in increase the vocabulary mastery students of SMPLB Negeri Parepare in academic year 2016/ 2017. This method engages the students’ attentions and various fun learning activities which decreased the students’ boredom during their learning. Wordwall picture provides the students’ illustrations and ideas in their minds. It applied mixed methods research design quantitative and qualitative approaches with single group interrupted time-series design. The population are who students with learning disabilities of SMPLB Parepare in academic year 2016/2017 which consist of 11 students and the sample constitútes consist of 5 students. This research used sampling as a technique of sampling. Based on the quantitative analysis, the result showed that 1) student test were significant accorbing to the questionnaire, the result show thet the students motivation incresed. It means that suggestopedia method with wordwall picture affected the students vocebulary mastery in learning. The result also proved that students interest in learning english has a significant relationship or influence with students vocebulary score. 2) The qualitative data from questionnaire showed that students’ motivation increased. It means that Suggestopedia method with wordwall picture affected the students vocabulary, mastery in learning, it proved that Suggestopedia Method with Wordwall Picture able to increase the interest in learning English of the students with disabilities learning of SMPLB Parepare;

ABSTRACT This present research conducted in Civil Engineering Department and reports the implementation of Suggestopedia Learning Method in developing students’ writing ability. The objective of the research was to find out whether or not the first semester of TKJJ Study Program in Civil Engineering Department of Politeknik Negeri Ambon can develop their writing ability through Suggestopedia Learning Method. A quasi-experimental design as a part a quantitative research employed in this study. The dates obtained through the Pretest and Posttest. The sample was using cluster random sampling. Based on the result of observation, it concluded that: The result of the data analysis showed that the teaching through suggestopedia improved significantly the writing ability of the first semester of TKJJ Study Program in Civil Engineering Department of Politeknik Negeri Ambon. It was proved by the mean score on pretest was 47.077 and the posttest was 79.35. In addition, after analyzing the data by using the test formula, the result of t-test value was 3.746 and t-table value 1,684. It means that the t-test value was greater than t-table value it indicated that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejecting. Therefore, the hypothesis of the research is the students’ writing ability that was taught through Suggestopedia Learning Method was better than the students who were taught through conversation method.

This research was conducted at a boarding school in Lampung. The research object consisted of three Islamic boarding schools: Al-Ismailiyun Islamic Boarding School, South Lampung, Darul 'Ulya Kota Metro Islamic Boarding School, and Riyadlatul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School, East Lampung. In general, this research aimed to analyze, validate, and test the effectiveness of class management in Islamic boarding schools in Lampung province. The approach applied in this research was development research using the ADDIE model. This research was a classroom management development research based on Islamic suggestopedia. The results revealed several important findings regarding classroom management in Islamic boarding schools in Lampung province. First is the condition of Class Management which has been applied in Islamic boarding schools. The second is the finding of a form of Islamic Suggestopedia-based Class Management which can increase the learning effectiveness at Islamic boarding schools in Lampung Province. The third is the result of implementing Islamic Suggestopedia-based Class Management which can increase the learning effectiveness at Islamic boarding schools in Lampung Province.

<p>Syftet med uppsatsen var att fördjupa min kunskap om suggestopedi för att se om den möjlihen har goda förslag på vad som skapar bra förutsättningar för lärande. Vidare vill jag undersöka om dessa tankar om suggestopedi som pedgogiskt förhållningssätt finns på skolor idag, och i så fall i vilken form, medveten, omedveten, som helhet eller i delar. Uppsatsen tar även upp elevernas verkliga upplevelse ställt mot lärarens förhållningssätt i klassrummet. </p><p>I studiens inledning presenteras tidigare pedagogiska strömningar och dessa ställs i diskussionedelen brevid suggestopedin för att se vad som eventuellt är överfört mellan dem och för att se vad som kan vara unikt för suggestopedin. </p><p>Studien är uppdelad med en teoretisk del och en empisrisk del. Den teoretiska delen innefattas av en litteraturgenomgång och den empiriska delen består av observatioenr och intervjuer med tre stycken lärare och sex elever.</p>

Arbetets syfte är att få en bred kunskapsbas för att förstå vad koncentrationssvårigheter är och hur de kan se ut i klassrummet. Syftet med studien är även att söka förslag till handling för att stävja koncentrationssvårigheter. Det är en litteraturstudie av medicinsk och pedagogisk forskning kring koncentrations-svårigheter. Med hjälp av en fallstudie genom intervjuande samtal med en elev och skolans specialpedagog beskrivs verkligheten på just den här yrkesorienterade gymnasieskolan. Resultatens första del beskriver koncentrationssvårigheter till hjälp för förståelse av begreppet. Resultatens andra del söker servera ett smörgåsbord av förslag till handling under rubriker som relationer, mat och sensomotorik inriktade på den enskilde eleven. Bredare lösningar för hela klassen finns under rubriker som struktur, förhållningssätt och neuropedagogik.

Vi har i detta examensarbete genom en enkät undersökt vilka undervisningsmetoder som förekommer på gymnasiet i kurs A i matematik på 10 skolor i Malmö och Lund. Resultatet visar att den traditionella metoden med genomgång vid tavlan följt av lösning av uppgifter i läroboken dominerar helt med 75 % av totala tiden. Andra arbetsformer som arbete i grupp och laborativt arbete används i liten utsträckning. Enligt matematikdelegationens rapport är det önskvärt att förändra dagens situation och det finns även en sådan vilja inom lärarkåren. Ett stort hinder är tidsbrist. Vi har också belyst vikten av en alternativ undervisning i matematik och givit ett flertal förslag på hur denna undervisning kan genomföras.<br>In this essay we used a questionnaire to find out which methods of teaching are being used in the first math course in 10 high schools in Malmoe and Lund in Sweden. The result indicates that the traditional method where the teacher first talks about a new section in the textbook followed by task solving by the students is the dominant method, used in 75 % of the total time. Other methods like working in a group and working with laboratory materials are rarely being used. According to the report of the Swedish mathematics delegation it is desirable to change the situation and many teachers agree. A big obstacle is lack of time. We have also illustrated the importance of alternative methods in mathematics teaching and suggested several ways how this teaching could be carried out.

Bibliography: pages 133-138.<br>Sight-reading is generally regarded by guitar teachers as a problem area of instruction. The aim of this thesis is to address the problem through a fourfold approach: 1. defining sight-reading in terms of its historical context ; 2. providing a rationale, and proposing an alternative method, for teaching sight-reading on the guitar based on a language teaching model ; 3. developing the proposed method ; 4. evaluating the proposed method experimentally. Music and language share many common characteristics. It is for this reason that Suggestopaedia, a method validated in language teaching, has been adapted for teaching the guitar with sight-reading skills as the central focus. Suggestopaedia has been chosen because it stimulates the whole personality, and all brain systems, of the learner.

Thesis (MA)-- Stellenbosch University, 2013.<br>ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The following thesis aims to contribute to the field of teaching German as a foreign language. It investigates the evolutionary history of Suggestopaedia, an alternative teaching method which originated during the late 1970s. The Bulgarian psychiatrist, Dr. Georgi Lozanov, discovered that relaxation and a stress-free environment promote both accelerated learning and memory retention. Further research proves that the combined elements and techniques of this method play a significant role to positively manipulate brain activity as well as individual perceptions, which could eventually result in the development of the personality. The author of this study analyses both the contributions and shortcomings of Suggestopaedia, reporting from personal experience gathered while teaching at a university in South Africa, and subsequently suggests an altered version of the suggestopaedic teaching ways. Various foreign language teaching methodologies are examined and evaluated while the main focus remains on Suggestopaedia and its principle of holistic learning. By exploiting the eclectic aspects of the suggestopaedic teaching method, this thesis investigates to what extent selected elements of different conventional methods can be integrated into Suggestopaedic teaching. Thereby the author ultimately proposes a holistic, enriched and modernized variant of Lozanovs Suggestopaedia for the teaching of German at schools in South Africa, by demonstrating practical examples executed at a private school.<br>AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Hierdie tesis poog om ʼn bydrae te lewer tot die gebied in die onderrig van Duits as ʼn vreemdetaal. Dit ondersoek die evolusionêre geskiedenis van Suggestopedie wat as „n onderrigmetode in die laat 1970‟s ontstaan het. Die Bulgaarse psigiater, dr. Georgi Lozanov, het bevind dat „n ontspanne en stresvrye omgewing beide versnelde leer en geheue retensie bevorder. Verdere navorsing toon dat die gekombineerde elemente en tegnieke van hierdie metode „n betekenisvolle rol speel om brein-aktiwiteit positief te manipuleer en individuele persepsies positief te beïnvloed, wat ten slotte ʼn persoonlikheidsontwikkeling tot gevolg kan hê. Die skrywer van hierdie studie analiseer sowel die bydrae asook die tekortkominge van Suggestopedie aan die hand van persoonlike ervaring wat versamel is tydens onderrig aan „n Suid-Afrikaanse universiteit. Abstract:
Suggestopedia (also sometimes referred to as "Accelerated Learning") is a teaching methodology that claims to remove barriers to learning rather than teach students how to learn. Developed by Bulgarian psychotherapist and medical doctor Georgi Lozanov (1926- ), it utilizes a detailed, three-phase cycle of teaching in which about 75% of teaching time is devoted to "Activations", games and activities in which students rehearse material previously presented in unique "Concert Sessions" (which make up the other 25% of contact time). Suggestopedia highlights factors often forgotten in the classroom: the design of an "optimum" learning environment, high expectations of success from the teacher, the use of music and art, the importance of enjoying the learning process, and the fostering of an atmosphere of "relaxed alertness". The method has been used with some success, particularly in the teaching of foreign languages. Ostensibly based on the way we learn naturally, Suggestopedia has developed a number of incarnations, in some cases because Lozanov's work was not freely available in the West during the Cold War. This dissertation outlines the salient features of both Suggestopedia and some of its incarnations. Additionally, it suggests ways in which the method may be utilized in the high school English classroom in South Africa. In particular, it describes an intervention in which elements of Suggestopedia were used to teach creative writing in a multilingual environment. In short, this intervention involved the creation of a traditional two page creative "essay" inspired by, inter alia, the teacher's high expectations, the meditative atmosphere created by music, and the posters in the students' peripheral vision. A total of 158 Grade 9 and Grade 11 (mainly isiZulu speaking) students in an "ex-model C" school wrote, edited, and submitted such essays, the main criterion of success being whether each essay was deemed by the teacher to be of a sufficiently high standard to be reproduced here. The project, based on a qualitative research design using the process approach to writing and a Suggestopedicbased pedagogy, elicited many engaging pieces of writing from students.
