Full textProsopagnosia is not an agnosia and is not limited to gaces. It is a part of a familiarity disorder. Familiarity and evocation are both involved in the memory. Memory, as any concept, is an identity and a unity. As an identity, in contemporary neuropsychologia, it is so global that it cannot be opposed to anything. It interferes with other processes and must be brought out of other processes properties. After, we still must separate it from history. Memory is not a scientific conceptual unity : amnesia does not exist alone, pure, but is always associated to other diseases (temporopastial disorientation for instance). The hypothesis defended in this thesis (according to J. Gagnepain's mediation theory) is that amnesia is part of a more global process which j. Gagnepain calls somasia : it is the border (frontier) of the body and the environnement (extrabody space) ; in other words, it creates the individual (both body and space). Normally, what Gagnepain calls person (that is ego or history) finds its origin in the biological individual but it is an excentration process. Asomasia which impaires the individual, deteriorates the dialectic between the individual and the person. It explains why amnesic patients have relation disorders. Several cases of asomasia are reported. It poses the question of unilateral neglect. Is there hemiasomasia?

Full textThe selfdemonstration rhetoric passed on by Vesale's Fabrica made up the model of anatomical representations up intil the 18th century. It is for us paradoxical (the animation of skeletons and écorchés), but not for anatomists and artists of the 16th century. To question why anatomic figures were represented as living bodies is to ask a question whose philosophical response lies in the Humanist culture of anatomists. With the selfdemonstration of the écorchés, anatomy positions itself from the start as a reflexive practice, a knowledge that is first and foremost a relationship with oneself. "Know thyself" hence proves to be the essential message of a science born of participation in the elaboration of the modern subject. From Michelangelo's self portrait in which he is draped in Saint Bartholomew's skin to recent works by artists such as Orlan, Venet, Barbier, and Quinn. . . The privileged relationship artists have with the imaginary of anatomy and science is revealed. Art becomes a way of subjecting oneself

Full textTraditional grammatical tradition claims that subordinate clauses are ptional and of an adverbial nature. A new method of anlysis shows that they are in fact obligatory. If a circumstantial complement is deleted, the information contained in the sentence is radically altered. The laboratoire de linguistique informatique uses this method of analysis, which we have adopted for this work. Our brief is the study of causality. More precisely, we examine the case in which the cause involves human subject predicates. We apply G. Gross's method : in the structure A causes B, the cause relator is a second order predicate, the arguments of which are the predicates of main clause and of the subordinate clause; these predicates, of the first order, designate the subject and the object of the cause. These three elements are examined from a semantic and a syntactic point of view in order to establish classifications. Cause may be external, when the subjects are different or when an event is the cause of a human subject predicate. We deal successively with cause operators whose subject is both an event and a human, then those operators whose subject is either exclusively an event, or different human subjects. .

Full textThe work submitted here concerns the socially integrated man, as a matter for social psychology. From this point of view, speech as been chosen as the strategic place of investigation. Regarded as linguistic social behaviour, it refers three determinations : one psychological, as indicated by its behavioural nature, another sociological, as shown by its contextualized character and a final one, semiological, as underlined by its linguistic material. The thesis consists mainly in the elaboration of a model of the subject pushing to the extreme this constitutive three dimensionalization of the speaker. The analysis of the most common concepts in social psychology provides the three basic notions that enable the framework of this model to be built. Work carried out on attitude puts action in the foreground ; studies on representations are centred round possession ; finally, research carried out on the identity approaches it as a specific state. The generalization of these methods of apprehension enables us to understand the nature of the three basic dimensions, i. E. To do, to have and to be. The systemization of these dimensions leads us to distinguish faculties, ressources and entities. The latter, i. E. The actor, the person and the individual, have the characteristics of being homogeneous in their composition and autonomous in their working. These properties are the object of a crucial experiment showing the exclusivity of the practices according to the entities in question. Finally, the heuristic quality of the model is tested through its use. .

Full textIn humans, nuclear architecture and chromatin organization during interphase play a crucial role in gene expression regulation. Within the nucleus, chromatin is organized nonrandomly in distinct chromosome territories optimizing the efficiency of transcriptional processes. Constitutive heterochromatin, which represents over 90% of our genome and whose role is largely unknown could be one of the main regulators of genome organization within the nucleus. Our goal was to study the effects of topographic changes of heterochromatin secondary to cohesin abnormalities (in Roberts syndrome) or methylation defect (in ICF syndrome) by 3D FISH and confocal microscopy. We have shown that the functional defect of cohesin secondary to ESCO2 mutations in Roberts syndrome causes a change in the architecture of pericentric heterochromatin associated with a repositioning in the nucleus. In ICF syndrome, DNA hypomethylation of constitutive heterochromatin seems also to modify nuclear architecture. These results shed new light on the regulation of 3D organization of the genome and further refine the hypothesis on gene expression control pathways in the pathophysiology of both disorders

Full textMicroglia constitute the resident population of phagocytes in the human adult telencephalon. In the present work, we study the pattern of entry of microglia in the developing brain, through pial and ventricular ways, and through the choroid plexuses. Single and double immunolabeling experiments show the cerebral distribution of different microglial subpopulations during the first two trimesters of gestation. Proliferative abilities and relationships between microglia and the vascular system change with time. Preliminary results highlight the macrophagic properties of microglia in cerebral white matter injury of premature newborns. These cells may synthetize nitric oxide and express the glutamatergic receptor for NMDA, which are involved in oxidative stress and excitotoxicity
