Abstract:
This article focuses on Quranic interpretation in the form of Sundanese poetry or Sundanese nadoman. The object is Kitāb al-Tabyīn al-Ajlá wa al-Ahlá fī Tafsīr Sūrah al-A'lá written by K.H. Ahmad Dimyati (1886-1946) a famous scholar from the Sukamiskin Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) in Bandung. This book is a tafsir of surah al-A'la (Q.87: 1-19) in Sundanese with pegon style letters. Compared to Qur'anic translations, poeticized forms of interpretation are not widely practiced in Indonesia, given their attachment to strict poetic rules, such as the number of chants, syllables, and the final rhyme in each chant. However, for Ahmad Dimyati, this type of composition was chosen because, in addition to being popular, the lyrics are also concise, easy to read, and the song is pleasant to hear. This form of pupujian poetry is generally sung in mosques waiting for prayer time to arrive. This study shows that the use of pupujian poetry in interpretation adds to the diversity of interpretation literature in West Java. The provisions of the pupujian rules make it unfree to use extensive and analytical explanations. As a poetry-like composition, this type of Qur'anic interpretation contributes not only to the teaching of the Qur'ān but also to the development of Qur'ānic studies that adapt the poetic form of poetry to the Sundanese literary tradition

Abstract:
The article aims to analyze the influence of Sundanese culture in a book of sīrah or biography of Muhammad. This study focuses on R.A.A. Wiranatakoesoema’s Riwajat Kangdjeng Nabi Moehammad s.a.w. (1941), analyzed using hermeneutics. It is a Sundanese translation of Dinet and Sliman’s The Life of Mohammad (1918) which inserted twenty-seven French realist painting illustrations. Wiranatakoesoema did not only translate the book into Sundanese, but also added the great narratives in the form of Sundanese metrical poetry or dangding. The life of Muhammad was described into a Sundanese character like the personality of Sundanese noble. This research shows that Sundanese culture held great influence on Wiranatakoesoema’s narration of Muhammad’s life. Wiranatakoesoema’s Riwajat reflects the influence of Sundanese culture which represents the author as a Sundanese people. It is one of contributions of Sundanese culture and literature in narrating the same story of sīrah in various language of the world.

Abstract:
Sundanese literature is still being written and read today. Its existence is still supported by discussions and studies, festivals, and performances. In its development, Sundanese literature shows its characteristics periodically through writing techniques, style of expression, and the themes it raises. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the existence of Sundanese literature in the last three decades. The method used is phenomenology and narrative research from Creswell by analyzing events and activities related to Sundanese literary life in the last three decades, as well as observations on Sundanese literary life based on literary works written in Sundanese magazines and Sundanese newspapers, in the 1990s until now. The study of drama literature is carried out on performances that are usually performed by Sundanese theater communities. The data obtained shows that the life of Sundanese literature, namely poetry, prose, and drama is still developing when compared to other regional literature in Indonesia. This can be seen from literary activities, literary performances, and literary prizes.

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) describe the physical structure of the mantra poem "Jampe Nyeuri Beuteung" in Sundanese culture, (2) describe the inner structure of the mantra poem "Jampe Nyeuri Beuteung" in Sundanese culture. The method of analyzing the research data is descriptive qualitative. The results show that in the Jampe Nyeuri Beuteung mantra poetry there is a physical and mental structure. The physical structure of the mantra includes word choice (diction), figurative language, imagery, rhyme, rhythm, typography. The inner structure of the mantra is the theme of healing, having a weak feeling due to pain, spoken in a tense tone, aiming to treat stomachaches, and the message contains that the person who casts the mantra hopes that he will be given a cure for illness. Poetry as learning material in Indonesian subjects can provide added value in the student learning process.

Abstract:
The spread of Islam in the Archipelago was closely tied to the roles of Sufi ulama. The circulation of Sufi work in Nusantara proves a strong connection between this region and the Middle East. In West Java, a number of these work expose Sufi teachings in the form of Sundanese Sufi literature, such as the work by Haji Hasan Mustafa. He is considered the greatest Sundanese poet whose work features strong influences of wahdat al-wujud. This paper aims to examine Sundanese Sufism expressed in Mustafa’s work of Asmarandana Ngagurit Kaburu Burit. This study shows that this work contains Sufi’s path that explores the self and its encounters with Supreme Being and the self’s diffusion, where there is no longer existence except the One. Mustafa called his Sufi poetry imperfect suluk because it was written in late afternoon. His work reveals local Sufi accommodation to wah}dat al-wujud in Sundanese language and culture.

Penelitian ini berjudul “Kajian Struktur Sajak dina Kumpulan Puisi Sunda Modéren Nu Nyusuk dina Sukma karya Chyé Rétty Isnéndés”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melengkapi kajian sastra Sunda terutama dalam sajak serta mendeskripsikan struktur sajak dalam kumpulan puisi Sunda modéren Nu Nyusuk Dalam Sukma berdasarkan pada struktur sajak Roman Ingarden yang meliputi lapis suara, lapis makna, lapis objek, lapis dunia, dan lapis metafisik, kemudian menerapkan hasil penelitiannya sebagai salah satu alternatif bahan ajar aprésiasi puisi di SMA Kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif. Adapun teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik mengumpulkan data dan teknik analisis data melalui studi pustaka dan analisis data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan puisi Sunda modéren Nu Nyusuk dina Sukma. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis struktur sajak Roman Ingarden yang meliputi lapis suara, lapis makna, lapis objek, lapis dunia, dan lapis metafisik. Hasil analisis sajak ini menghasilkan kesimpulan, dari duapuluh sajak yang dianalisis strukturnya, terlihat lapis suara yang sering ada dalam setiap sajak yaitu purwakanti mindoan kawit dan maduswara, serta asonansi a dan eu, juga aliterasi ng. Dalam lapis makna, terlihat bahwa bahasa yang dipakai berupa bahasa yang tidak biasa dipakai dalam kehidupan seharihari atau bahasa menurut kamus serta sangat memperhatikan diksinya. Dalam lapis objek, terlihat bahwa objek-objek yang disampaikan tidak sama karena disesuaikan dengan tema serta suasana pengarangnya. Dalam lapis dunia, terlihat bahwa ada persamaan dan perbedaan serta ada yang sudah terlihat dan tersirat tergantung bagaimana menginterpretasinya. Dalam lapis metafisik, terlihat bahwa ada yang mengandung sifat sublime, tragis, dan menimbulkan pemikiran pembacanya. Peneitian ini bisa dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar aprésiasi puisi di SMA Kelas XI. Kata Kunci: struktur, puisi Sunda moderen Nu Nyusuk dina Sukma, bahan pengajaran. The research focused on analyzing Roman Ingarden poetry which cover sound, purpose, object, world, and metaphysical. The result of analyzing this rhyme has a conclusion, there were twenty rhymes which analysed. There would be the sound aspect for every rhyme, there were purwakanti mindoan kawit and maduswara, asonantion a and eu, and also aliterasion ng. the purpose aspect, it can be concluded that the language is uyangsual in daily life and it is really focused on diction. The object showed that many points were different, because it was depend on theme and the feeling of the writer. The world aspect, there were be differences and identic. The metaphysical aspect, there were found sublime characteristic, tragic, and the idea from the writer. This research cn be used an alternative teaching materials appreciation of poetry in senior high school class XI.

Abstract:
Technology that continues to develop has an impact on the world of education, including the use of ICT (Information, Communication and Technology) based learning media. This research aims to develop ICT-based learning media, namely educational word wall game-based learning media for class V students with Sundanese poetry material. The research method used in this research is the ADDIE development research method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The steps for product development include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The students' response to this learning media was very good, none of the students were sleepy or bored of learning using game learning media because they were curious about what would happen afterward. The product developed in this research is ICT-based learning media based on wordwall educational games involving opening boxes and random name selection. The results of this research are that educational games learning media are very suitable to be used to support the learning of Sundanese poetry for class V elementary schools.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the esoteric interpretation of the Qur'an written in Sundanese. The object of the study is theQuranul Adhimiof Haji Hasan Mustapa (1852-1930). Through the analysis of hermeneutics, this study shows that the local exegesis can not be assumed that it has the same character as the Malay-Indonesian exegesis. Indeed, it shows local creativity born out of the diversity of cultural backgrounds. It also shows the process of the dialogue between Sufism and the inner of Sundanese people in the frame of Qur'anic exegesis. This can be proven in three ways: the interpretation centered on the inner meaning, the use of natural metaphors, and the nuances of Sundanese literature. The significance of Mustapa 'sexegesis lies in the process of indigenization of the Qur'an (Islam) to the characteristics of the local Islamic tradition through the work of Quranic exegesis. This work clearly indicates the local creativity in responding to the intellectual tradition of Sufism, especially the Sufi interpretation. Syair pupujian eling-eling umat ini merupakan ciri khas pupujian yang muncul pada tempat ibadah yang mayoritas penduduk nya orang sunda, karena pupujian menggunakan Bahasa sunda. Ajaran pupujian sunda ini merupakan salah satu ajaran aswaja yang diserap oleh pertumbuhan islam di nusantara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dari umat islam di indonesia, terutama di daerah sunda, dalam mempertahankan ajaran keislaman yang mereka percayai dalam menyebarkan syiar melalui kebudayaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Sedangkan pengujian validitas data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi data, data yang diperoleh disesuaikan atau dilakukan cek ulang dengan sumber data lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis menyimpulkan pendekatan beragama menggunakan kebudayaan local setempat, dinilai cukup efektip untuk meyebarkan pendidikan dasar islam di masyarakat. The title of this research is "semiotic analysis of the Sundanese poetry of the eling-eling umat". This eloquent verse of praise for the people is a characteristic of the praise that appears in places of worship where the majority of the population is Sundanese, because the praise uses the Sundane language. This Sundanese praise teaching is one of the Aswaja teachings that were absorbed by the growth of Islam in the archipelago. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Muslims in Indonesia, especially in the Sundanese area, maintain the Islamic teachings. They believe in spreading wisdom through culture. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and literature study. While testing the validity of the data in this study using data triangulation, the data obtained was adjusted or rechecked with other data sources. Based on the results of the study, the authors conclude that a religious approach using local culture is considered effective enough to spread Islamic basic education in the community.

Abstract:
The main reason for conducting this research is that Sundanese textbooks do not describe the material gradation standards according to the needs and background of students at each level of Education, in addition to not presenting a systematic material structure. In connection with the reason above, the purpose of this study is to examine the gradations and structure of the material contained in the Sundanese textbook for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students. The method used in this research is the description method. While the data collection technique used in this research is library research techniques. The technique is used to describe data based on gradations and structure of subject presented in Sundanese textbooks based on education levels. The data processed in this study is Sundanese language learning materials including 1) literary forms of poetry: poetry, circumcision, <em>wawacan</em>, satire, <em>pupujian</em>, <em>sawer</em>, and <em>kawih</em>; 2) literary forms of prose: fairy tales, short story, novels, puppet story, and drama; 3) non-literary texts: speeches, writers, letters, reports, debates, interviews, and reports reading. As for, the source of the data is Sundanese textbooks for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students based on the 2013 Local Content Curriculum Revised 2017. The finding of this study is that the composition of Sundanese textbook material for Junior High School/MTs and Senior High School/Vocational/MA students in accordance with the 2013 Local Content Curriculum Revised 2017, nevertheless, not paying attention to the gradation of the material. Things that unintentionally missing from the authors are 1) gradation of writing indicators from competencies achievement or learning objectives, 2) scope of material presentation and depth of material, and 3) variations of operational verbs on the writing tasks. This research can be used as a consideration in compiling the material presented in the textbook, so that the content presented ca be in accordance with students' needs and background based on their level of education.

Puisi guguritan dalam khazanah sastra Sunda merupakan materi puisi lama yang hingga kini masih ditulis dan diminati. Tradisi menulis guguritan dalam sastra Sunda banyak dilakukan sejak awal abad XX. Puisi ini masih pula ditulis dan dibaca oleh masyarakat Sunda, terutama para peminat sastra hingga awal abad XXI. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana gaya penulisan guguritan dari tiga penyair Sunda yang pada tiga dekade terakhir dianggap tokoh penulis guguritan. Ketiga penyair guguritan tersebut yakni Dedy Windyagiri, Dyah Padmini, dan Wahyu Wibisana. Mereka merupakan tokoh penyair yang dianggap baik dalam menulis puisi guguritan seperti yang terbaca pada Jamparing Hariring (1992) karya Dedy Windyagiri, Jaladri Tingtrim (1999) karya Dyah padmini, dan Riring-riring Ciawaking (2004) karya Wahyu Wibisana. Penelitian dimaksudkan untuk memperlihatkan sejauh mana gaya kepenulisan dari ketiga penyair ini beserta pembeda yang dimilikinya masing-masing, terutama dalam pemilihan tema, pemilihan diksi, pengimajinasian, kata konkret, serta bahasa figuratif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitik. Dari hasil penelitian ini muncul kecenderungan-kecenderungan gaya kepenulisan sebagai pembeda dari masing-masing penyair, yakni kecenderungan nuansa feminin pada guguritan karya Dedy, kecenderungan nuansa maskulin pada guguritan Dyah Padmini, serta kecenderungan nuansa netral pada guguritan karya Wahyu Wibisana. Abstract: Guguritan Poetry in the Sundanese literature is a matter of old poetry which is still written and have a good demand in current condition. The tradition of writing guguritan in Sundanese literature is mostly done since the beginning of the XX century. This poem is still written and read by Sundanese people, especially literary enthusiasts until the early of XXI century. This study describes how the style of writing the guguritan of three Sundanese poets who in the last three decades are considered as guguritan authors. The three poets are Dedy Windyagiri, Dyah Padmini, and Wahyu Wibisana. They are well-known poets in writing guguritan poetry as it reads in works Jamparing Hariring (1992) by Dedy Windyagiri, Jaladri Tingtrim (1999) by Dyah Padmini, and Riring-Riring Ciawaking (2004) by Wahyu Wibisana. The research is intended to show the extent of the authorship style among the three poets and their respective distinctions; especially in the themes selection, dictionary selection, imagination, concrete words, and figurative languages which using descriptive-analytic methods. From the results of this study appeared the tendencies of the authorship style as a differentiator of each poet, namely the tendency of feminine nuances in the Dedy's work, the tendency of masculine nuance in Dyah Padmini's work, and the tendency of neutral nuances in the work of Wahyu Wibisana.

Abstract The paper aims to analyze moderate understanding of Haji Hasan Mustapa on religious diversity in the archipelago. He is a greatest Sundanese poet who has studied in Mecca and served as Hoofd Penghulu of Kotaraja Aceh and Bandung in the colonial era. This study is focused on sufism and religious diversity, Mustapa‟s scholarship, and on his pluralistic vision, using intertextual studies and semantic analysis. This research argues that Mustapa has tolerance and moderate understanding similarly with Ibn „Arabi‟s thought. He uses kernel and husk as symbolic images which expressed using natural richness of Sundanese culture for demonstrating his religious conviction that rasa is the kernel of all religions. This study is significant for strengthening the discourse of religious pluralism from sufi perspective in the archipelago which cannot be separated from the chain of Islamic intellectual network. This research has also a significant impact on Chittick‟s assumption about the depth of sufi poetry which mostly reveal their tolerance views on religious diversity living in harmony.

Purpose of the study: This study explores metric patterns of syi’iran and syair, genres of poetry indicated to bear close relation with the pattern of Arabic syair. The genres include classical poetry in Malay, Javanese, and Sundanese. Methodology: Research is conducted with a qualitative approach towards a data pool of syi’iran and syair, collected purposively to determine its relation with the rhymes and metrics of Arabic syair and its uniqueness compared to other forms of poetry in the Archipelago. Main Findings: The research concludes that syi’iran and syair are poetic genres with the following characteristics: (1) posses a basic structure of couplets, (2) bear a specific rhyme pattern of consonant and vowel phonemes in up to two syllables at the end of each line, in every two to four adjacent lines, and (3) display distinct metric of consistent rhythmic half-lines. The three characteristics are indicative of its relationship with Arabic poetry. Applications of this study: Research findings shall become a foundation to redefine the literary terminology of poetry and assist in philological criticism in Indonesia, although its uses in teachings and researches in both fields will need further promotion, both inside and outside the country. Novelty/Originality of this study: The approach applied in the research allows the identification of metric patterns in various forms of poetry that have been circulating in Indonesia for centuries but have yet to be scientifically formulated, or even theoretically identified by scholars.

Untuk memperkuat toleransi serta meningkatkan sikap saling memahami dan menghargai antara kedua etnis ini dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) dalam bentuk Festival Bulan dengan tema “Sinar Bulan yang Terang Membawa Kebahagiaan”. Kegiatan ini dipilih karena baik dalam budaya Sunda dan Tionghoa terdapat kemiripan pandangan tentang bulan. Kemiripan pandangan inilah yang mendasari kegiatan PPM melalui kolaborasi dengan berbagai komunitas Sunda dan Tionghoa. Festival Bulan dilaksanakan dengan menggandeng Yayasan Dana Sosial Priangan (YDSP) Bandung yang telah memiliki aset yang diperlukan untuk terlaksananya kegiatan ini. PPM dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap, yaitu tahap discover, design, define, dan reflect. Inti dari kegiatan PPM adalah Festival Bulan yang terdiri atas serangkaian acara yang dilaksanakan pada 29 September 2023 di Aula YDSP. Dalam Festival Bulan ini terdapat pemaparan materi tentang makna bulan dari sudut pandang etnis Sunda dan etnis Tionghoa, penampilan seni berupa nyanyian, tarian, musikalisasi puisi dan drama yang semuanya bertemakan bulan. Pada kegiatan ini baik masyarakat etnis Sunda dan etnis Tionghoa saling mengenal dan belajar tentang bulan dari budaya yang berbeda sehingga tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini untuk memperkuat interaksi antara budaya Sunda dan Tionghoa tercapai. Besides the Sundanese ethnic group as the largest ethnic group in the city of Bandung, there is also the Chinese ethnic group. To strengthen tolerance and enhance mutual understanding and appreciation between these two ethnic groups, a Community Service Activity (PPM) was conducted in the form of a Moon Festival with the theme "Bright Moonlight Brings Happiness". This activity was chosen because both Sundanese and Chinese cultures have similarities in their views of the moon. It is this similar perspective that underpins the PPM activity through collaboration with various Sundanese and Chinese communities. The Moon Festival was carried out in collaboration with Yayasan Dana Sosial Priangan (YDSP) Bandung, which already has the necessary assets for the implementation of this activity. PPM was carried out through four stages: discover, design, define, and reflect. The core of the PPM activity is the Moon Festival, consisting of a series of events held on September 29, 2023, in YDSP Hall. During this Moon Festival, there were presentations on the meaning of the moon from the perspectives of the Sundanese and Chinese ethnic groups, artistic performances including singing, dancing, musical poetry, and drama, all themed around the moon. In this activity, both the Sundanese and Chinese communities get to know each other and learn about the moon from different cultural perspectives, thus achieving the goal of strengthening interaction between Sundanese and Chinese cultures.

Reading about the Sundanese people of Bandung Regency after the 17th century, one can learn from the Wawacan literary works, which helped shape the collective minds of the people. Wawacan is strongly influenced by Islamic teachings, which are depicted in sagas in the form of poetry called dangding (poetic bond). This research examines Wawacan Nata Sukma, written anonymously by the people of Banjaran on the slopes of Mount Cupu Pangalengan in Bandung Regency. Writing using Pegon (Arabic) letters, Sundanese language, 1833 AD (18th century) during the "forced cultivation" period of growing coffee under Dutch colonialism. The story Wawacan Nata Sukma contains the metaphorical, wild, intriguing, and patriotic resistance of the character "Nata Sukma". Staged from 1930 to 1960 in Bandung Regency. Nata Sukma struggled beyond war and oppression. He succeeded in deepening knowledge, changing fate, and achieving a dignified life after defeating the kings of five countries. Wawacan Nata Sukma is a reportage and portrait of events that occurred during the "forced cultivation" period and is related to the politics of the national identity of the oppressed. Research uses a hermeneutic perspective and qualitative methods in describing and analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and thoughts of people individually and in groups.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, telaah pustaka, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pedoman wawancara, pedoman inventaris, dan kartu data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 14 lirik tembang yang diperoleh dari wawancara dan studi pustaka. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tembang Sunda Cigawiran mengalami perkembangan dan struktur puisi yang tentu. Perkembangan tembang Sunda Cigawiran berubah dari waktu ke waktu seiring dengan perkembangan zaman. Struktur lirik tembang Sunda Cigawiran mempunyai struktur fisik (imaji, simbol, musikalitas, dan gaya bahasa) serta struktur batin (tema, rasa, nada, dan amanat). Lirik tembang Sunda Cigawiran secara umum ditulis dalam bentuk pupuh, tapi tidak sepenuhnya memenuhi aturan pupuh yang digunakannya. Téma dari teks tembang Sunda Cigawiran pada umumnya berkaitan erat dengan keagamaan. Imaji yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam teks ini adalah imaji visual (penglihatan). From the research results found that Cigawiran Sundanese song has developed and formed its structures of poetry. The development of Cigawiran Sundanese song changed from time to time along with the period. Cigawiran Sundanese song structure has the physical structures (images, symbols, musicalities, and language styles) and the inner structures (themes, tastes, tones, and messages). Cigawiran Sundanese song lyrics in generally are written in stanzas, but does not fully comply with the rules of the stanzas it used. The theme of the Cigawiran Sundanese song texts are generally closely related to religion. The most common images found in this text is the visual image (sight). Musicality of Cigawiran Sundanese song includes the stanza form, which has guru gatra, guru wilangan, and guru lagu. Language styles are generally a common language, hyperbole, and connotative. The most common sense shows fear. While the message in generally gives warning that people must always ask protection to Alloh SWT. In the Cigawiran Sundanese song lyrics contained etnopedagogic values. The study was a analytical description. The study used and applied qualitative methodology principles. To gain the data, literary and documentation study on Wawacan Babad Sumedang were conducted. The steps of collecting data were reading of the texts accurately, making note of relevant data, identifying and classifying the data, making data tabulation and descripton. In analyzing the structure, AJ Greimas theory was adobted. The result of the study showed that Wawacan Babad Sumedang decripting citra and habits of Princess Harisbaya and her stories.

The research discussed Tembang Sunda Cianjuran (Cianjuran Sundanese Song) which contained a very high quality of music and was full of hidden wisdom values as a reflection of the people who created it. In a cross-generational context, transforming wisdom values was considered an educational process. The research used an anthropological approach to uncover the mystery behind the song’s structure and lyrics’ meaning and structuralism theory to interpret the meaning behind the structure. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing and studying archives of old documents in the form of audio recordings related to the Tembang Sunda Cianjuran, especially the genre of Papantunan (poetry-like). The collected data were identified, classified, then interpreted, and compiled qualitatively. The results illustrate that educational messages communicated through the lyrics of Papantunan as well as the process of transforming the values of past Sundanese’ lives into symbols, are carried out across generations. The substance of the values contained includes catur watak (four characters), which consists of education about courage (leber wawanen), faithful to promises (kukuh kana jangji), prioritizing the glory of life (medang kamulyan), and silih asih (giving each other the affection), silih asah (honing each other in intelligence or skills), and silih asuh (caring each other). All of this is packaged in the form of a pupuh poem and sung by a juru tembang accompanied by kacapi suling.

Sisindiran “pantun” merupakan Puisi rakyat yang sangat digemari masyarakat. Sisindiran dapat mengungkapkan perasaan, keadaan lingkungan, dan situasi masyarakat desa, petani, dan lain sebagainya. Biasanya dituturkan dalam suasana santai, berkelakar, dan suasana formal, misalnya dalam upacara adat perkawinan, melamar, dan sebagainya. Dalam perkembangannya, sangat luwes, mudah memasuki berbagai gendre sastra lainnya, seperti cerita pantun, wawacan, novel, cerpen, novelet bahkan muncul juga pada puisi modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis yaitu seluruh data yang diperoleh dari lapangan dikumpulkan, kemudian dianalisis dengan cara dikaji dan diklasifikasikan menurut struktur, isi, dan fungsi yang dikandungnya. Purpose of the study: This research is based on the phenomenon of urban society in which the complexity of urban culture has caused the Indonesia to change. For example, the polluted Cikapundung river, the rarely heard of Sundanese songs, the rice fields turned into settlements, and the large number of prostitutions spread across Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Methodology: This study aims to reveal the portrait of the urban society of Bandung in the poetry anthology. The method used in this study is the sociology of literature carried out with a sociological approach focusing on the analysis of the relationship between literature and humans. Main Findings: Based on the results, the poems show a portrait of urban society in Bandung, namely ecological damage, lifestyle transformation, individualization, prostitution, poverty, social inequality, and spatial segregation. The portrait of urban society is illustrated in the poetry anthology Di Atas Viaduct. Applications of this study: The results of this research can be used as a reflection of people's lives through literary works.Novelty/Originality of this study: Therefore, the results show that the poet’s perspective on the changes in the city of Bandung brought by urban culture.

This research examines affixations in the album Kalangkang using qualitative methods. The data used was taken from the lyrics of Nining Meida's song on the album Kalangkang on the internet site. The results of the research show that from 110 data, 36 prefixes were found, namely the prefixes di-, ka-, mi-, nga-, pa-, nasal (n-, ng-, ny-) predominantly indicating adjectives, 6 data infixes, namely The infixes -um-, -ar-, -al-, predominantly indicate adjectives and plurals. There are 26 data suffixes, namely the suffixes -na, -an, -eun, which are often found in remake songs because the lyrics are in the form of sampirans, pantuns and old poetry, so the suffixes play an important role in adapting the rhyme. There are 24 affix combinations of data, namely prefix+infix, prefix+suffix predominantly indicating adjectives. The affixed and nasal reduplications of 12 data consisting of affixed dwipure, affixed dwipurwa, and affixed dwipurwa predominantly form verbs. There are typical characteristics of Sundanese affixations, including: The prefix ka- has the function of indicating adjectives and verbs and predominantly has an accidental meaning. Apart from that, infixes in Sundanese predominantly indicate plural numbers. The combination of the affix in Sundanese forms its own meaning, namely 'most', reduplication in Sundanese for example, dwipurwa with the affix is a partial repetition where the word being repeated is the first syllable of the word.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji afiks dalam album Kalangkang dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang digunakan diambil dari lirik lagu Nining Meida pada album Kalangkang pada situs internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 110 data, ditemukan prefiks sebanyak 36 data yaitu prefiks di-, ka-, mi-, nga-, pa-, nasal (n-, ng-, ny-) didominasi menunjukkan kata sifat, Infiks sebanyak 6 data, yaitu infiks -um-, -ar-, -al-, didominasi menunjukkan kata sifat dan jamak. Sufiks sebanyak 26 data, yaitu sufiks -na, -an, -eun, banyak ditemukan dalam lagu remake karena liriknya berupa sampiran, pantun, dan puisi lama., sehingga sufiks berperan penting untuk menyesuaikan rima. Kombinasi afiks sebanyak 24 data, yaitu prefiks+infiks, prefiks+sufiks didominasi menunjukkan kata sifat. Reduplikasi berafiks dan bernasal sebanyak 12 data yang terdiri atas dwimurni berafiks, dwireka berafiks, dan dwipurwa berafiks didominasi membentuk kata kerja. Terdapat ciri khas afiksasi bahasa Sunda, di antaranya prefiks ka- memiliki fungsi menunjukkan adjektiva dan kata kerja dan didominasi memiliki makna ketidaksengajaan. Selain itu, infiks dalam bahasa Sunda didominasi jumlah jamak. Kombinasi afiks pang- + -na dalam bahasa Sunda membentuk makna tersendiri, yaitu ‘paling’, reduplikasi bahasa Sunda misalnya, dwipurwa berafiks merupakan pengulangan sebagian dan kata yang diulang merupakan suku kata pertama kata tersebut.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan struktur, nilai filosofis, dan bahan pembelajaran apresiasi sajak di SMA kelas XI. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif, sedangkan untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan teknik studi pustaka. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ada 45 judul sajak karya Ari Andriansyah dalam buku kumpulan sajak Lengkah. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan kajian struktur, ditemukan ada 45 kata yang termasuk diksi sesuai dengan tema, 529 kata yang termasuk ke dalam imaji, 101 kalimat simbol untuk menjelaskan maksud, 168 kalimat yang termasuk irama, 73 kalimat yang menunjukan suasana isi dari sajak, 65 kalimat yang termasuk gaya basa, sedangkan tema dari keseluruhan sajak yaitu mengenai perjalanan dan pengalaman kehidupan. Nilai filosofis dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan ada tiga nilai, yaitu nilai moral, nilai agama (religi), dan nilai atikan. Setelah ditemukan struktur dan nilai filosofis, oleh karena itu bisa digunakan untuk bahan pembelajaran apresiasi sajak di SMA kelas XI. Penelitian ini bisa menambah pengetahuan mengenai sajak, sebagai salah satu karya sastra Sunda modern.AbstractThis study aimed to explain the structure, philosophical values, and poetry appreciation teaching and learning material in Grade XI senior high school. This study employed descriptive methods, while to collect the data it used literature study techniques. The data sources in this study were 45 poems in Lengkah poems collection of Andriansyah works. The results of the structural study found that there are 45 words including diction correspond to the theme, 529 words included in the imagination, 101 sentences of symbols to explain the intentions, 168 sentences including rhyme, 73 sentences that show the atmosphere of poetry, 65 sentences included in language styles, while the theme of the whole poem is about traveling and life experiences. This study found three philosophical values, i.e. moral values, religious values, and achievement values. Since it contained structure and philosophical values, his works can be used for poetry appreciation teaching and learning material in grade XI senior high school. This research can improve knowledge on poetry as one of the modern Sundanese literary works.

Sundanese poetry of the period 1949-1962 was influenced by social events at that time, often the problems conveyed in poetry were irony, open, open, serious, satirical, and sentimental. Therefore, the aim of the research is to describe (1) the tone of the author, and (2) the fact of humanity that is reflected in his poems. This research is a qualitative research using analytic descriptive method. The technique of collecting data uses the study of documentation and contemporary author interviews. Poetry data was chosen 25 poems from 40 poems collected based on the year of publication, theme, and the poetry of the poem. The results of the study are based on the themes of the 1949-1962 Period poetry, namely (1) love for the motherland, (2) love for fellow human beings, (3) humanity, (4) mobs, (5) philosophical reflections, and (6) death. The tone analyzed in poetry includes formal attitudes in 11 poems, intimate attitudes in 11 poems, and arrogant attitudes in 3 poems. The conclusion of this study is the Sunda poem Period 1949-1962 raised about (1) love in the land of water / land Sunda, (2) love for fellow human beings, (3) humanity, philosophical contemplation, (3) hordes, (5) philosophical reflections, and (6) death. AbstrakSajak Sunda periode 1949-1962 dipengaruhi oleh kejadian sosial pada masa itu, seringkali masalah yang disampaikan dalam sajak yaitu ironi, terbuka, terbuka, serius, satir, dan sentimental. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik. Teknik mengumpulkan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara pengarang sezaman. Data sajak dipilih 25 sajak dari 40 sajak yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan pada tahun terbit, tema, dan titimangsa sajak. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tema sajak Periode 1949-1962 yaitu (1) cinta tanah air, (2) cinta sesama manusa, (3) kemanusiaan, (4) gerombolan, (5) renungan falsafah, dan (6) kematian. Tone/nada yang dianalisis dalam sajak mecakup dalam sikap formal dalam 11 sajak, sikap intim dalam 11 sajak, dan sikap angkuh dalam 3 sajak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sajak Sunda Periode 1949-1962 mengangkat tentang (1) rasa cinta pada tanh air/tanah Sunda, (2) rasa cinta pada sesama manusia, (3) kemanusiaan, renungan falsafah, (3) Gerombolan, (5) renungan falsafah, dan (6) kematian.

Over time, students consider learning Sundanese in school increasingly difficult, especially in writing poetry learning material. The purpose of this study was to describe students poetry writing abilities before and after using the Image streaming method and the difference in students poetry writing abilities before and after using the Image Streaming method. This study uses a quantitative approach, the method used is quasi-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test research design, and the technique used is poetry writing ability test. The data source of this research is the ability to write poetry of class VII-E students at SMP 2 Lembang in the 2018-2019 school year, with 34 students. The results of this study show that: (1) the ability of students to write poetry before using the Image Streaming method with an average value of 57.56; (2) the ability of students to write poetry after using the Image Streaming method with an average value of 72.88; (3) differences in students poetry writing ability before and after using the Image Streaming method with an average initial ability score of 57.56, final ability of 72.88, then the average value of students poetry writing ability has increased by 15.32. Hypothesis test results show a significance value = 0,000. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the value of Sig. 0,000 is smaller than 0.05, meaning H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Image Streaming method can improve the poetry writing ability of VII-E class students at SMPN 2 Lembang in the 2018-2019 school year. AbstrakSeiring berjalannya waktu, siswa menganggap pembelajaran bahasa Sunda di sekolah semakin sulit, khususnya dalam materi pembelajaran menulis sajak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis sajak siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan metode Image Streaming dan perbedaan kemampuan menulis sajak siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan metode tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode kuasi eksperimen disertai desain one group pre-test and post-test. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dengan menggunakan soal tes kemampuan menulis sajak pada siswa kelas VII-E di SMP Negeri 2 Lembang pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) kemampuan menulis sajak siswa sebelum menggunakan metode Image Streaming dengan rata-rata nilai 57,56; (2) kemampuan menulis sajak siswa setelah menggunakan metode Image Streaming dengan rata-rata nilai 72,88; (3) perbedaan kemampuan menulis sajak siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan metode Image Streaming dengan rata-rata nilai kemampuan awal 57,56, kemampuan akhir 72,88, maka rata-rata nilai kemampuan menulis sajak siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15,32. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan nilai signifikansi = 0,000. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, nilai Sig. 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05, artinya H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode Image Streaming dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis sajak siswa kelas VII-E di SMP Negeri 2 Lembang taun ajaran 2018-2019.

This paper examines the results of the transformation of the Ancient Sundanese script entitled "Wawacan Sulanjana" transliterated in the first stage into the form of prose stories, poetry, and dialogue as a teaching material at school. A recent study shows that the ethnopedagogic values contained in the Ancient Sundanese script of Wawacan Sulanjana, among them imply ten points in which humans as creatures created by the Almighty: 1) must believe in the existence of fate and obedience to all his commandments, 2) to love his or her fellow human beings and not to deceive the weak creatures, 3) to preserve the environment and to cultivate them in order to benefit and to survive as well as the plants; 4) to distinguish between the right and the mistaken; 5) must maintain the mandate entrusted to him or her, 6) must defend the weak and combat injustice, 7) must respect the prevailing cultural customs in a community environment, 8) have the knowledge and skills to navigate life, 9) must prioritize the common interests and not selfish, 10) must be honest and firm and not breaking the promise. This research uses descriptive method, where data transformation result is studied on its elements. For prose and dialogue, we pay attention to the theme, the message, the plot/plot, the background, and the qualities of the character. As for poetry we pay attention to taste, tone, theme, and its mandate. From this study also we obtain twelve titles of prose narrative, twelve titles of dialogue, and twelve kinds of poems. Keywords: codex, transformation, ethno-pedagogy, Sundanese Tulisan ini mengkaji hasil transformasi (alih wahana) naskah Sunda Kuno yang berjudul “Wawacan Sulanjana” hasil transliterasi pada tahap pertama ke dalam bentuk cerita prosa, puisi, dan dialog sebagai bahan pengajaran di sekolah. Abstract:
The paper aims to analyze how literary translations of the Quran can grasp the meaning of the Quran and ‘subordinate’ it to local poetry rules, using R.A.A. Wiranatakoesoema’s Soerat Al-Baqarah as the object of study. It is a Sundanese poetic translation of the Quran in the form of guguritan or dangding and as such this study is focused on the implications of canto rules to the Quranic meaning field in the translation, analyzed using intertextual studies and semantic analysis. This research shows that the use of guguritan in the translation of the Quran might cause a problem of inaccessibility of the translated meaning. There are some implications of subordination of the translation of the Quran following the rules of guguritan. This tradition affected the expansion or constriction of the meaning, which in turn caused modification within the verses (ayat) in translation, and forced the use of loan words, particularly Malay. This study is significant not merely for demonstrating a diglossic ideology on language of the Quran that has affected Sundanese literature, but also for strengthening the thesis that ‘Sundanization’ of the Quran was performed as a form of resistance against Islam and Arabness through cultural impulses—especially Sundanese literature. Wiranatakoesoema’s Soerat Al-Baqarah is a creative effort that should be appreciated, but it must be noted that literary language can never be completely satisfactorily compared and translated.[Tulisan ini menjelaskan bagaimana penerjemahan al-Quran dapat mencapai makna seutuhnya dengan ‘menurunkan’ standarnya sesuai aturan susastra lokal, yang tersirat pada pengkajian Soerat Al-Baqarah karya R.A.A Wiranatakoesoema. Terjemahan surat ini merupakan alih bahasa dalam bentuk susastra Sunda yang disebut dengan guguritan atau dangding. Tulisan ini berfokus pada implikasi aturan pupuh pada medan makna penerjemahan al-Quran dengan menggunakan analisis intertekstual dan semantik. Dalam kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan guguritan dalam penerjemahan al-Quran dapat menyebabkan persoalan ketidaksampaian makna terjemahan. Terdapat beberapa implikasi antara lain ‘subordinasi’ pada terjemahan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perluasan atau penyempitan makna akibat modifikasi dalam penerjemahan ayat dan pemaksaan dalam peminjaman kata, khususnya Melayu. Kajian ini penting karena tidak hanya menunjukkan konsep diglosia dalam terjemahan al-Quran akibat pengaruh bahasa Sunda, tetapi juga menguatkan pendapat bahwa ‘Sundanisasi’ merupakan usaha resistensi terhadap Islam dan Arab melalui susastra Sunda. Karya Wiranatakoesoema layak untuk diapresiasi sebagai usaha kreatif, meskipun perlu dicatat bahwa bahasa susastra tak akan cukup memuaskan untuk dibandingkan atau diterjemahkan. ]

Objek pembicaraan pada tulisan ini meliputi dua ranah studi, yaitu sastra lisan Carita Pantun Sanghyang Jagatrasa (CPSJ) dan sastra tulis naskah Wawacan Sanghyang Jagatrasa (WSJ). Masalah yang diangkat berkenaan dengan:(1) transformasi antara kelisanan CPSJ dan keberaksaraan WSJ, (2) struktur formal puisi naratif CPSJ dan struktur formal sastra tulis WSJ, dan (3) makna semiotik di balik antroponimi dan toponimi universal yang tertuang pada CPSJ dan WSJ. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah itu, yaitu (1) pendekatan sastra lisan dan (2) pendekatan sastra tulis. Berdasarkan hasil penerapan pendekatan sastra lisan ditemukan (1) CPSJ memiliki 8 formula, 13 fungsi, dan 7 lingkungan tindakan, sedangkan berdasarkan penerapan sastra tulis terhadap WSJ diketahui bahwa WSJ memiliki 6 model aktan dan 3 model fungsional, (2) transformasi antara kelisanan CPSJ ke keberaksaraan WSJ terdapat pada konvensi kesastraan, teknik naratif, ungkapan formula, kosakata, dan konstruksi kalimat. Adanya transformasi tersebut, secara semiotik, dapat dimaknai sebagai suatu upaya pelestarian nilai-nilai moral yang termuat dalam CPSJ ke dalam era WSJ sejalan dengan situasi dan kondisi serta minat masyarakat Sunda pada zamannya, (3) Munculnya antroponimi dan toponimi universal di dalam CPSJ dan WSJ dapat dimaknai secara semiotik sebagai sebuah cermin tentang eksistensi kosmologi Sunda buhun (lama) yang pernah hidup di dalam masyarakat Sunda pada zamannya.Abstract:The discussion of this paper focuses on two problems, orality of Carita Pantun Sanghyang Jagatrasa (CPSJ) and literacy of Wawacan Sanghyang Jagatrasa (WSJ). The research question is to answer the basis of the two problems.They include the following statement (1) transformation between CPSJ orality and WSJ literacy (2)the formal structure of CPSJ narrative poetry and of WSJ written literature? (3) semiotic meaning within universal anthroponimy and tophonimy in CPSJ and WSJ. The approach used in the study is aimed at solving problems dealing with the following concerns, (1) oral literary approach and (2) written literary approach. The findings based on the applica- tion of literary approach are as follows: (1) in the CPSJ there are 8 formulas, 13 narrative functions, and 7 setting (spheres) of acts, while in the WSJ, there are six models of acts and three functional models. (2) Transformation from CPSJ orality into WSJ literacy can be found in literary convention, narrative techniques, formula expressions, vocabulary, and sentence constructions. The transformation of CPSJ can be semiotically considered an effort of preserving moral values in CPSJ into WSJ era along with the situation and conditions as well as interest of the Sundanese community. The emerge of The universal anthroponimy and tophonimy can be semiotically meant as a symbol of the existence of old Sundanese that was known in Sundanese society.

Syair Riwayat Nabi Muhammad (kemudian disingkat SRNM) adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak karya sastra lama yang berbentuk syair. SRNM yang ditemukan di Kabupaten Kuningan ini ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Sunda. Di dalam naskah SRNM disisipkan beberapa unsur cerita naratif yang sifatnya mengisi dan melengkapi teks SRNM sehingga membentuk sebuah alur cerita yang utuh. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur naratif dalam SRNM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deksriptif dengan pendekatan struktural. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa SRNM termasuk puisi tradisional yang memiliki pola khusus, tetapi struktur naratifnya cukup menonjol. SRNM menarasikan sejarah kehidupan Nabi Muhammad. SRNM juga mengandung data berkaitan dengan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dan Sunda pada tahun 1947-an. Bila dikaji lebih mendalam, dapat dikatakan bahwa naskah SRNM dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang bernilai dan penting untuk dikaji terutama dari segi bahasa. Bahasa dalam naskah SRNM sarat dengan kebahasaan yang memiliki makna dan bernilai tinggi untuk dijadikan kerangka referensial dalam keilmuan bahasa.Abstract:Syair Riwayat Nabi Muhammad (SRNM) is one of old literary works in the form of poem. SRNM found in Kuningan district was written in both of Indonesian and Sundanese. In the SRNM’s manuscript, there are some narrative stories completing the SRNM ‘s in order to form a storyline intact. The present research attempts to describe the narrative structure in SRNM. The applied method in the research is descriptive method by using structural approach. The results of the research show that SRNM including traditional poetry contains a specific pattern, yet the narra- tive structure is quite prominent. SRNM narrated the history of the life of Prophet Muhammad. The SRNM also consists of the data that was related to the use of Indonesian and Sundanese in the 1947’s. When studied more deeply, it can be said that the SRNM manuscript is seen as something that is both valuable and important to study, especially in the term of language perspective. Lan- guage in the SRNM’s manuscript loaded with meaningful and highly valued form in order to be used as a referential framework in linguistics.

The vernacularity of the poetic translation of the Qur'an Nadoman Nurul Hikmah by Hidayat Suryalaga lies in its peculiarity in using the language and rules of Sundanese poetry of praise. This paper aims to explain the form of vernacularity in the translation of Nadoman Nurul Hikmah's interpretation by H. R. Hidayat Suryalaga. This article uses descriptive methods and content analysis, thus concluding that the aspect of nadoman content or the meaning of the verses in Nadoman Nurul Hikmah is far more accurately called a translation of tafsiriyah al-Qur'an than it is called poetic interpretation of the Qur'an. H. R. Hidayat Suryalaga, in Nadoman Nurul Hikmah, does not at all refer to the Arabic translation or interpretation in each stanza. H. R. Hidayat Suryalaga did not use the verse editor as a source, but he tried to provide his interpretation. Meanwhile, in Nadoman, Nurul Hikmah does the loose and contextual translation. The contextualization of the verses of the Qur'an gives the impression to the readers (singers) of Nadoman that Nadoman Nurul Hikmah can be enjoyed by anyone who is by the spirit of the times.

Abstract: The Community System in Rini Intama's Kanaya Poetry Collection. This study aims to describe the form of local wisdom (elements of the social system) in the collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this study is the conten analysis method (content analysis). The data in this study is in the form of words, sentences, and discourses related to local wisdom forms in the collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. The source of data in this study is a collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. The results showed that there is a cultural element of the social system contained in the form of rituals, a royal system that tells that there is a form of government. In Kanaya's collection of poems, the poet also explains how a woman's struggle in maintaining and caring for a tradition through puppetry and customs that have existed from the beginning of the formation of the Sundanese land. As well as reiterating to the community in order to preserve the conceptions of ancestral culture through arrays and stanzas in each poem.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media e-learning menggunakan aplikasi Edmodo dan aplikasi Skype dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 13 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi eksperimen melalui desain penelitian Alternatif Treatment Post test Only with Non-equivalent Group Design. Sumber data penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Teknik Komputer Jaringan (TKJ) SMK Negeri 13 Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah instrumen tes, observasi, dan angket. Data yang sudah diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan, rata-rata nilai hasil belajar menulis puisi siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 13 Bandung yang menggunakan aplikasi Edmodo adalah 76,48 dari Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 75. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa siswa sudah mampu menulis puisi. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai yang menggunakan aplikasi Skype adalah 70,83, yang artinya siswa belum mampu menulis puisi. Setelah dilaksanakan analisis t-test terbukti bahwa ttabel dari df (58) dengan kepercayaan 95%, 2,004, serta jumlah thitung adalah 7,19. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis bisa disimpulkan bahwa thitung ≥ ttabel, atau 7,19 ≥ 2,004 yang berarti hipotésis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Artinya bahwa media e-learning menggunakan aplikasi Edmodo lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan aplikasi Skype dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas XI SMKN 13 Bandung tahun ajaran 2016-2017. Abstrak Paper ini membahas martabat tujuh dalam puisi dangding sufistik Haji Hasan Mustapa. Ia merupakan salah satu penerus tradisi tasawuf Nusantara dari Jawa Barat yang menulis lebih dari sepuluh ribu bait dangding. Tema martabat tujuh merupakan poros inti pembahasan dalam hampir keseluruhan puisi dangding-nya. Berbagai kesalahpahaman dan kesulitan para sarjana dalam memahami puisi Mustapa kiranya dilatarbelakangi keterbatasan pengetahuan atas ajaran ini. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan interteks atas sejumlah puisi Mustapa yang bertema sama. Kajian ini memfokuskan pada tiga hal: martabat tujuh dalam tradisi tasawuf Nusantara, Mustapa dan posisi dangding-nya dalam sastra Sunda, serta tema martabat tujuh sebagai inti puisinya. Mustapa kiranya dipengaruhi ajaran wahdatul wujud terutama melalui kitab Tuh}fah-nya Al-Burhanfuri. Meski demikian, ia berusaha menjejakkannya dalam latar kekayaan budayanya. Ia menginterpretasikan martabat tujuh, bukan semata-mata sebagai sintesis tajalli Ilahi, tetapi juga merupakan hasil upaya manusia dalam meningkatkan martabat rohani untuk pulang ke tempat di mana ia berasal (nepi kana urut indit). Karenanya tidak tepat bila ia dianggap menyimpang dari nilai-nilai ortodoksi Islam. Ia berada pada arus utama tasawuf Nusantara yang cenderung rekonsiliatif. Signifikansi Mustapa terletak pada kreatifitasnya dalam menggunakan banyak metafor budaya Sunda termasuk dalam menafsir ajaran martabat tujuh. Ia misalnya, menggunakan metafor tubuh (balung, daging, sungsuam, getih), makanan (rujak), sungai (leuwi), dan bukit (lamping) untuk menggambarkan proses panjang dalam meracik asal alam kesejatian. Kajian ini signifikan dalam memperkuat tesis jaringan ulama Nusantara dalam bentuk artikulasi tasawuf lokal Sunda. Sebuah tafsir lain atas martabat tujuh yang muncul dalam rahim alam pikiran budaya Sunda.---Abstract This paper discusses the dignity seven in metrical poetry Sufi Hasan Haji Mustapa. He is one of the successors of Sufism archipelago from West Java who wrote more than ten thousand metrical stanza. He was in the mainstream Sufism archipelago tend reconciliatory. Mustapa significance lies in creativity in using many metaphors Sundanese culture including seven in interpreting the teachings of dignity. He for instance, uses the metaphor of the body (bone, meat, sungsuam, getih), food (salad), rivers (Leuwi), and Hill (lamping) to describe the lengthy process of preparing the authenticity of natural origin. Di dalam khazanah sastra Sunda klasik terdapat sebuah cerita rakyat yang amat populer dan bernilai mitis-religio-magis bagi masyarakat Sunda masa lalu, yaitu Carita Pantun Mundinglaya di Kusumah (CPMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab masalah (1) bagaimanakah struktur formal puisi naratif sastra lisan CPMK? (2) bagaimanakah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa yang dikemas dalam teks CPMK? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan objektif dengan metode struktural. Berdasarkan hasil penerapan pendekatan sastra, diperoleh beberapa temuan, yaitu sebagai berikut. (1) Di dalam sastra lisan CPMK terdapat 8 formula, 13 fungsi cerita, dan 7 lingkungan tindakan. (2) Hadirnya teks (cerita) yang dikemas dalam sastra lisan CPMK secara semiotik dan etnopedagogi patut dimaknai sebagai adanya suatu perlambang kehidupan manusia yang tersembunyi di balik rangkaian peristiwa yang dialami para tokoh. CPMK mengisyaratkan makna tentang perjalanan hidup manusia. Hidup adalah perjuangan. Jalan menuju kemuliaan akan selalu dihadang oleh berbagai cobaan dan ujian. Hanya pribadi-pribadi yang tangguh yang akan mampu mengatasi cobaan dan ujian sehingga mencapai martabat terpuji. Ungkapan terakhir ini adalah salah satu konsep dari nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa (etnopedagogi).Abstract:In the classic Sundanese literary work there is a kind of popular folktale containing magical religious myth for Sundanese society in the past called Carita Pantun Mundinglaya Di Kusuma (CPMK). The study aims at answering the research questions: (1) what are the formal sructure of CPMK oral literary narrative poetry? (2) what are the values of nation character education in CPMK text? The present study applies objective approach with structural method. Based on the application of literary approach, the findings are as follows. (1) in the CPMK orality there are 8 formulas, 13 narrative func- tions, and 7 settings. (2) The presence of CPMK oral literature semiotically and ethnopedagogically should be meant as a symbol of human life behind a series of events happening to the characters. CPMK contains meaning of the course of human life. Life is struggle. The path to dignity will always deal with obstacles. Only strong individuals are able to deal with them in order to achieve a glorious dignity.This statement is one of the concepts of the values of nation character education in CPMK story.

This paper aims to reveal the transmission of the text structure and the form of translation in the text of Babad Awak Salira (later referred to as AS). The issue that will be examined in this paper is the transmission of structures and forms of translation that exist in AS manuscript texts. Old poetry is bound by a system of conventions in building structure. The tembang macapat convention system is found in the form of wawacan texts that developed in Sunda. These findings were analyzed by structural theory of the ancient poetry and translation. The application of this theory can be reveal the transmission of structure in the text. The method of research is the philological method and the translation method. Each data in this study was collected using a literature study for analysis. The results of this study include; (1) transmission of structure from macapat tembang to wawacan form in AS script texts; and (2) the form of translation in the use of diction used in the AS manuscript text. The use of the tembang macapat convention in the AS text is balanced with the practice of "translation" and adaptation of several terms as an effort to adjust and understand from Javanese (source) to Sundanese (target).Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap transmisi struktur teks dan bentuk penerjemahan dalam teks naskah Babad Awak Salira (selanjutnya disebut AS). Masalah yang dibahas dalam tulisan ini adalah transmisi struktur dan bentuk terjemahan yang ada dalam teks naskah AS. Puisi lama terikat dengan sistem konvensi dalam membangun struktur. Sistem konvensi tembang macapat ditemukan dalam bentuk teks wawacan yang berkembang di Sunda. Temuan ini, dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori struktur puisi lama dan terjemahan. Penggunaan teori tersebut dapat mengungkap transmisi struktur dalam teks. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode filologi dan metode terjemahan. Setiap data dalam tulisan ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan studi pustaka untuk dianalisis. Hasil tulisan ini meliputi; (1) transmisi struktur dari tembang macapat menuju bentuk wawacan dalam teks naskah AS; dan (2) bentuk terjemahan dalam penggunaan diksi yang digunakan dalam teks naskah AS. Penggunaan konvensi tembang macapat dalam teks AS diimbangi dengan praktik “terjemahan” dan adaptasi beberapa istilah sebagai upaya penyesuaian dan pemahaman dari bahasa Jawa (sumber) menuju bahasa Sunda (sasaran).

Penelitian ini akan membandingkan cerita, tokoh, dan peristiwa antara teks dalam naskah Wawacan Sulanjana dan teks dalam Carita Pantun Sri Sadana. Kedua teks tersebut memiliki bentuk berbeda yaitu yang satu teks tertulis dan yang satu teks yang dituturkan secara lisan. Adapun teori yang digunakan yaitu teori intertekstualitas yang dikemukakan oleh Julia Kristeva. Secara genre, Wawacan Sulanjana dan Carita Pantun Sri Sadana bisa dikategorikan sebagai puisi. Disinyalir Wawacan Sulanjana menjadi salah satu bentuk transformasi dari Carita Pantun Sri Sadana. Adapun untuk membuktikan transformasi dan hipogram maka digunakan teori intertekstualitas Julia Kristeva. Berdasarkan hasil analisis maka didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa tema dalam kedua teks tersebut memiliki satu kesamaan yaitu tentang kehidupan masyarakat agraris di tanah Sunda. Adapun yang menjadi objek cerita yaitu seorang tokoh bernama Nyi Pohaci Sanghyang Sri. Setelah dibandingkan, ada sedikit perbedaan urutan peristiwa dalam cerita dan adanya tokoh-tokoh lain yang menyertai cerita di dalam teks Carita Pantun Sri Sadana, tidak disertakan dalam cerita Wawacan Sulanjana. AbstractThis research will compare the stories, chadacters, and events in the text between the Wawacan Sulanjana manuscript and the text in the Carita Pantun Sri Sadana. The two texts have different forms, one is a written text and one is oral text. The theory used is the intertextuality theory proposed by Julia Kristeva. In genre, Wawacan Sulanjana and Carita Pantun Sri Sadana can be categorized as poetry. It is pointed out that Wawacan Sulanjana is a form of transformation of Carita Pantun Sri Sadana. As for proving the transformation and hypogram, Julia Kristeva's theory of intertextuality is used. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the themes in the two texts have one thing in common, namely about the life of agrarian communities in Sundanese land. The story is based on one of the character, namely Nyi Pohaci Sanghyang Sri. After comparison, there is a slight different in the sequence of the events, and there are several characters who told in the Carita Pantun Sri Sadana were not involved in the Wawacan Sulanjana.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berkurangnya keberadaan puisi mantra di masyarakat serta berkurangnya orang yang mempunyai mantra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan; 1) puisi mantra di Kecamatan Situraja, Kabupaten Sumedang; 2) klasifikasi puisi mantra di Kecamatan Situraja, Kabupaten Sumedang; dan 3) analisis struktur mantra yang ditemukan di Kecamatan Situraja, Kabupaten Sumedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan tekhnik studi pustaka, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini, data puisi mantra yang terkumpul adalah sejumlah 105 puisi mantra dari 12 narasumber, yang terdiri dari 22 asihan, 22 jangjawokan, 38 ajian, 6 singlar, 3 rajah, 14 jampé. Selanjutnya, dari 105 puisi mantra dipilih jadi 25 puisi mantra yang mencakup 9 asihan, 4 jangjawokan, 4 ajian, 2 singlar, 1 rajah, jeung 5 jampé. Hasil dari analisis 25 puisi mantra yaitu: wangun dan wirahmanya tidak teratu, kebanyakan dari puisi mantra dibangun lebih dari 8 baris, purwakanti yang sering muncul adalah purwakanti mindoan kawit, purwakanti mindoan kawit, larasmadya, maduswara, laraspurwa, jeung laraswekas. Bangbalikan yang sering muncul adalah bangbalikan rantay rakitan a b/ a c dan bangbalikan runtuy puhu, dan pencitraan yang sering ditemukan adalah pencitraan penglihatan (visual) dan pencitraan perasaaan (taktil). Dapat disimpulkan, puisi mantra yang terkumpul dari masyarakat Kecamatan Situraja, Kabupaten Sumedang mempunyai manfaat untuk memperluas dan menambah pengetahuan mengenai sastra dan budaya Sunda, serta bisa memahami pembahasan struktur puisi mantra. This research uses descriptive method, with the dwarf in the study of the literature, interviews and documentation. Next, from 105 poem mantra was chosen so the mantra of poetry includes 25 poem, 9 asihan 4 jangjawokan, 4 singlar, 2 ajian, 1 rajah jeung 5 jampé. The results of the analysis of 25 poems mantra: wangun jeung wirahma, most of the poem spell built more than 8 lines, purwakanti faqs purwakanti mindoan is purwakanti mindoan, kawit kawit, larasmadya, maduswara, laraspurwa laraswekas, bangbalikan and who often appears is bangbalikan rantay assembled a b/a c and bangbalikan runtuy puhu, and imaging often found is eyesight (visual) imaging and imaging sence (tactile). It can be inferred, the poem spell collected from the community Sub-district Situraja, Sumedang has benefits to expand and add to the knowledge of the literature and culture of Sundanese, and could understand the discussion of the structure of the poem spell.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi tradisi lisan Aurodan komunitas Jamaah Asy-Syahadatain di Cirebon. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang meneliti objek dalam kondisi alam, untuk menemukan makna dan generalisasi, di mana peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dalam metode penelitian. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk menggambarkan, menganalisis, mengungkap, dan menjelaskan fungsi tradisi Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dasar yaitu fungsi tradisi lisan Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon. Pengumpulan data tenik dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen. Aurodan reflects the soft, open and tolerant culture of Cirebonese Islam as an acculturation product of several cultures, namely Javanese, Sundanese, Arabic, and even other cultures in Cirebon. This study aims to describe the function of the Aurodan oral tradition of the Jamaah Asy-Syahadatain community in Cirebon. This research is a qualitative study that examines objects in natural conditions, to find meaning and generalization, where the researcher as the main instrument in research methods. This study was designed to describe, analyze, uncover, and explain the function of the Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon tradition. This study uses basic data that is the function of Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon oral tradition. data collection technique is conducted by observation, interview, document study. Ia memiliki kandungan isi yang berbobot. Penyajiannya melalui proses penggarapan yang halus, lembut, cermat dan mantap serta senantiasa memperhatikan unsur etika dan estetika. Tembang macapat sangat populer sekitar abad XVIII dapat dikatakan menduduki puncak tangga dalam kelompok seni kraton. Tembang macapat mengandung dua unsur seni yaitu seni sastra dan seni embe/suara yang difungsikan sebagai media yang sangat komunikatif untuk menyampaikan petuah atau pesan-pesan pembangunan. Akan tetapi saat ini tinggalah catatan historis dunia sastra jawa, karena tembang macapat kini sudah tidak begitu dikenal oleh pewarisnya. Kesemuanya ini bukan disebabkan pengaruh perkembangan ilmu dan teknologi semata akan tetapi juga disebabkan kurangnya prasarana pengajaran baik berupa buku maupun pengajarnya atau kurang variatif materi tembang yang ada. Berhubungan dengan hal tersebut, sebagai karya sastra yang adiluhung menurut hemat penulis tembangmacapat sangat perlu untuk dilestarikan guna memperkaya khasanah budaya Indonesia. The presentation of Macapat is through a smooth, gentle, careful and steady cultivation process that always pays attention to ethics and aesthetics elements.Macapat song is very popular around the XVIII century. It said to occupy the top of the hits in the palace of the arts group. Macapat song contains two elements of art that are literary art and ensemble/ sound that is functioned as a very communicative media to convey development advice or messages.However at this time, Macapat remains the historical record in the world of Javanese literature because the song of Macapat now is not very well knew by its heir. All of this matter is not due to the influence of the development of science and technology itself, but it also due to the lack of teaching and supporting facilities both in the form of books and instructors or the lack of variety of existing song material. Inconnection to this, as a valuable literary work, the author has opinion that the song Macapat are very necessary to be preserved, in order to enrich the treasury of Indonesian culture. Abstract:
This study focuses on the tradition of Sundanese literary among the reformist Muslims. My object of study is a Sundanese book of poetic translation of the Qur’ān in the form of metrical verse or dangding entitle Hariring Wangsiting Gusti Nu Maha Suci (A Hymn of God Revelation the Most Holy) using translation approach and critical discourse analysis. The book is written by Muh. Syarief Sukandi (1931-1997). He was known as a member of Indonesian army, ‘ulamā’ and activist of reformist Islamic organization, Islamic Union (Persatuan Islam or Persis). Sukandi’s Hariring was published by Bina Insan Asy-Syarief Foundation in 2010. It contains 23 translations of the Qur’anic short surahs amount to 63 stanzas. He uses many types of metrum (pupuh). The study confirms that Sukandi’s Hariring tends to be a translation of exegesis (al-tarjamah al-tafsīriyyah) that was limited by the metrum rules. However, Sukandi’s Hariring is not only shows the influence of Sundanese nature, but also his effort to strengthen Islamic ideology which closer to pre-Islamic culture. It can be seen in the use of some Sundanese words of pre-Islamic period. It is an ambivalence that may be contrary to the purification ideology of Persis, because considered to contaminate the purity of Islamic teachings. It is a work of another side of reformist Muslim which do not keep the distance from local culture.

This article examines the poetic explanation of K.H.E. Abdullah (1918-1994) about time in Q.S. al-Fajr [89]: 1-5. The poem K.H.E. Abdullah not only interprets Q.S. al-Fajr [89]: 1-5 as a phenomenon of the circulation of time in the universe but also as a metaphor for the journey of human life. His interpretation was published in the Iber Sundanese magazine in the October-December 1970 edition in the rubric of Tafsir Al-Qur'an. E. Abdullah is the second generation activist of the Islamic Unity organization (PERSIS) after A. Hassan. Based on library research and the descriptive-analytical method, this article shows that the verse about the phenomenon of time in al-Fajr/89: 1-5 is interpreted metaphorically as a description of human life in the world. The word al-Fajr means youth before ruruntuk (old age) comes. Laya>l 'asr is interpreted as alternating nights describing the increasing age. Al-syaf' interpreted as a whole moon night, represents a perfect age as an adult. Al-watr interpreted when the night turns dark reflects the time of getting older. The passage of youth into old age means wa al-layl iz\a> yasr (by night when it passes). From the Sundanese literary approach, E. Abdullah's pupujian poem generally shows the works that refer to the rules of pupujian, as seen in the number of lines, syllables of arrays, and the final rhyme of each line (a-a-a-a). This pupujian poem emphasizes that although E. Abdullah is active in the modernist Islam movement, he still preserves the tradition of pupujian in his work to bring himself closer to the local culture.

There is no doubt that the advent of Islam in the Archipelago Region, particularly in the Sunda World, has transformed the weltanschauung of the local community, shifting from a polytheistic paradigm to the monotheistic paradigm (tawhid). This has fostered a synergy between the outcomes of Divine revelation and Sundanese wisdom, giving rise to local wisdom in Malay-Islamic society. Moreover, the role of intellectuals in bridging the perspectives of ”sky idealism” with ”earth/cultural reality” is crucial in shaping dynamic, relevant, and applicable teachings of local wisdom embraced by the Sundanese people. This reciprocal process is evident in the collection of Sundanese local wisdom in Alam Parahyangan, whether in written form or through actions and practices. The objective of this study is to highlight several points. Firstly, it aims to demonstrate that the awareness of living in harmony with nature is manifested in the local wisdom of indigenous peoples through their views and concepts. Secondly, it seeks to emphasize the unique construction and formulation of Sundanese local wisdom, which results from the synthesis of Islamic values and Sundanese thought. Lastly, the study proposes the re-examination of Sundanese manuscripts, which serve as repositories of local Sundanese-Islamic wisdom. These manuscripts exhibit various forms of thoughts, including rhymes, dangding (a form of Sundanese poetry), advice, and others. Hal ini melahirkan akulturasi budaya antara ajaran Islam dan budaya masyarakat setempat. Di sisi lain, tata cara pelaksanaan ajaran Islam lebih bercorak keindonesiaan (lokal) dan tidak sepenuhnya sama dengan wilayah aslinya di Timur Tengah. Tulisan ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana persentuhan agama Islam dengan kebudayaan lokal Indonesia, terutama dengan budaya Sunda. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa hampir seluruh ranah kehidupan orang Sunda mengandung nilai-nilai yang Islami. Ajaran dan hukum dalam masyarakat Sunda pun disosialisasikan melalui seni dan budaya, seperti pada lakon pewayangan (wayang golek), lagu-lagu, pantun, dan banyolan-banyolan. Ajaran Islam melalui media wayang golek meliputi Islam sebagai a way of life, termasuk ajaran dasar tentang ketatanegaraan dan pemerintahan. Ajaran Islam melalui pewayangan seringkali menekankan ketaatan kepada ajaran agama dan negara secara bersamaan dan ber- kesinambungan yang mencerminkan pemahaman atas perintah ketaatan kepada Allah, Rasul dan ûli al-amri sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam al-Qur‘an.</p><p><br />Abstract: The Convergence of Islamic Religion with the Indonesian Indigenous Culture. When Islam first entered Indonesian archipelago, this land was not culturally an empty space. There had existed local culture and developed in the Indonesian society, that has led to cultural acculturation between Islamic teachings and indigenous culture. As such, the ways of observing Islamic teachings are of Indonesian character and not necessarily similar to that of its origin in the Middle East. This paper explores how the convergence of Islamic religious teachings and the Indonesian local culture, especially the Sundanese had occurred. The author concludes that almost all aspects of Sundanese social life have been influenced by the Islamic values. The teaching and law in the Sundanese society could also be associated through art and culture, in such as puppet show (wayang golek), songs, poetry and anecdotes. The Islamic teaching through puppet show has often emphasized obedience to both religious teachings and the state simultaneously as reflection of understanding the fulfillment of God’s command, the Messenger and leader (ûli al-amri) found in the Qur’anic tenets.<br /><br />Kata Kunci : agama Islam, kebudayaan asli, akulturasi<br /><br /></p>

Abstract:
Poetry is an artistic expression that uses words creatively and rhythmically. It is a way to convey feelings, thoughts, or experiences through specially selected language to create an aesthetic impression, rhythm, and beauty. Poetry can be an expression of deep feelings, a picture of nature, a narrative about life, or simply a reflection of various aspects of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the connotative meaning in Sundanese poetry entitled Do'a Untuk Guru by Kustian. The method in this study is a qualitative method, with data collection through reading, understanding, and translating. The result of this study is 1 type of associative meaning found in the poem entitled "Prayer for the Teacher" namely connotative meaning, social meaning, affective meaning, reflective meaning, and colloquial meaning. There are 3 lines of poetry containing connotative meanings, 2 lines of poems containing social meanings, 4 lines of poems containing affective meanings, 4 lines of poems containing reflective meanings, and 4 lines of poems containing colloquial meanings according to Leech's theory. AbstrakPuisi adalah ungkapan seni yang menggunakan kata-kata secara kreatif dan berirama. Ini adalah cara untuk menyampaikan perasaan, pemikiran, atau pengalaman melalui penggunaan bahasa yang dipilih secara khusus untuk menciptakan kesan estetika, ritme, dan keindahan. Puisi bisa berupa ekspresi perasaan yang mendalam, gambaran alam, narasi tentang kehidupan, atau sekadar refleksi dari berbagai aspek kehidupan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna konotatif dalam puisi bahasa Sunda yang berjudul “Do’a Pikeun Guru” karya Kustian. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui membaca, memahami, dan menerjemahkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah jenis makna asosiatif yang ditemukan dalam puisi berjudul “Doa Pikeun Guru” yaitu makna konotatif, makna sosial, makna afektif, makna reflektif dan makna kolokatif. Dalam puisi tersebut, terdapat 3 baris puisi yang mengandung jenis makna konotatif, 2 baris puisi yang mengandung jenis makna sosial, 4 baris puisi yang mengandung jenis makna afektif, 4 baris puisi yang mengandung jenis makna reflektif, dan 4 baris puisi yang mengandung makna kolokatif menurut teori Leech.

Abstract:
The main problems studied in this article is how the creation process of the art of cianjuran music and how far the role of R. A. A. Wiranatakusumah V in spreading the art of cianjuran music in Priangan in the 20th century. To get the answers to those problems, the historical research has been done with the method of research which consists of four phases: heuristik, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The application of historical method is then ellaborated with social science theories, among of those is the theory of change and continuity of K. J. Veeger.The result of the research indicates that the art of cianjuran music was born as a creativity result of Cianjur aristocratics adopting from some vocal arts among Sundanese society such as: poetry, degung, and kawih. In its growth, the art of cianjuran adapts with the change of epoch so that its existence can be kept well. In this case, R. A. A. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini menjelaskan estetika musikal dalam pertunjukan Ronggeng Tayub, khususnya lagu Rincik-rincik yang dalam sajiannya terdapat perpaduan garap musikal karawitan Sunda dan karawitan Jawa (Banyumasan). Ronggeng Tayub merupakan salah satu bentuk kesenian rakyat di Kabupaten Ciamis dan sekitarnya. Penelaahan dilakukan melalui kajian teknik tabuhan, repertoar lagu, syair lagu, serta menelaah relasi masyarakat dengan seni karawitan dalam kaitannya dengan pertunjukan Ronggeng Tayub di wilayah perbatasan Ciamis-Cilacap. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu metode deskriptif analisis kualitatif. Teknik mengumpulkan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan yang didukung dengan wawancara dan perekaman kejadian guna mendapatkan validitas data yang lebih utuh dan menyeluruh. Sajian gending dalam lagu ini menghadirkan kesan kesedarhanaan yang mencerminkan konsep hidup masyarakat pendukungnya. Ronggeng Tayub memiliki bentuk pertunjukan yang sangat merakyat, menyatu, dan komunikatif dengan penontonnya. Lagu Rincik-rincik termasuk pada lagu “pesanan” dari penonton, sajian gendingnya khas, unik, dan dinamis dengan iringan instrumen gamelan salendro yang relatif sederhana.Kata Kunci: estetika musikal, rincik-rincik, ronggeng tayub, kesenian rakyat AbstractThe purpose of this study is to explain the musical aesthetic of the Ronggeng Tayub performance, especially the Rincik-rincik song, which combines Sundanese and Java musical instruments (Banyumasan). Ronggeng Tayub is folk art in District Ciamis and surrounding. The study of Rincik-rincik song includes percussion techniques, song repertoire, song poetry, and the relationship between the community and the Ronggeng Tayub. This study uses a qualitative descriptive-analytical method. The techniques used in this study are observation, interview, and recording in order to obtain a more complete and comprehensive data validity. The performance of gending in Ronggeng Tayub presents the impression of simplicity, reflecting the concept of the life of the people. Ronggeng Tayub has a simple form of performance, blending, and communicative with the audience. Rincik-rincik is one of “special request” song from its audience, by which its gending is unique and dynamic, accompanied by a simple gamelan slendro.Keywords: aesthetic, rincik-rincik, ronggeng tayub, artfolks
