Skin cancer is a major health concern in the U.S. today. The incidences of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers are rising at an alarming rate. It is thought this is partly due to the increasing numbers of people using indoor tanning facilities. <p>I have for my one year master's thesis worked on arranging and cataloging the archives from the missions stations of Musana, Congo-Brazzaville and Sundi-Lutete, Congo-Kinshasa, belonging to the Swedish Missions Church (Svenska Missionskyrkan). The first is to contribute toward our knowledge of changes in contemporary Anatolia in a coherent way, the second to provide the first systematic ethnographic account of the Alevi, a Shiite minority living in rural Turkey. This thesis addresses the lack of scholarly attention devoted to African American Sunni women by examining how they use collective memory to negotiate embodied agency. Through an analysis of African American Sunni women’s narratives of testifying conversion, and vignettes from diaries and interviews, I show how African American Sunni women utilize racial, religious, and spiritual memory in the form of ritual practices and Islamic texts to multiply construct their bodies, and how this construction allows them to enact multimodal and nomadic forms of agency. Ce travail de recherche constitue une étude du dispositif militaire dans le Stato da Mar, les territoires maritimes de l’empire vénitien, pendant la seconde moitié du XVe siècle. Au cours de cette période, deux guerres opposent la république de Venise à l’Empire ottoman. Elles se concluent par des pertes territoriales pour Venise. En établissant la perpétuité de l’exception de nullité à l’article 1185 du code civil dans sa nouvelle rédaction issue de la réforme du droit des obligations de 2016, le législateur a partiellement codifié la maxime Quæ temporalia sunt ad agendum perpetua sunt ad excipiendum. La question de la durée des autres moyens de défense n’a en revanche pas été résolue par la réforme. Samma ljudupptagning har genomförts i fyra olika samplingsfrekvenser. Det som undersökts är vad som skiljer dessa åt i fråga om frekvensinnehåll, stereoinnehåll och signalstyrka samt huruvida det går att höra någon skillnad mellan dessa. Syftet är att visa på vilken samplingsfrekvens som lämpar sig bäst då slutresultatet lyssnas på via Spotify. Mätningar inom den digitala domänen visar på att inspelning i 44.1 kHz är att föredra då slutresultatet är ämnat för denna medieplattform. Abstract:

In this thesis the making and experiencing of the exhibition “Sundi Mongo – A village in Congo” is examined through ethnographical interviews with former and present employees at the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm. The interviews, together with archive material concerning the exhibition, are analyzed with discourse theory in order to examine how discourses of defining Africa construct application and interpretation of the exhibition pieces. A significant element is dislocation, where the exhibition has been standing since 1983 and the meaning of the exhibition is now expressed as changed.
