Abstract:
The primary goal of this paper is to study the so-called super minimizers of the sum F1 + F2 related to the concept of super efficiency in constrained problems of multiobjective optimization, where each cost mapping Fi is generally set-valued for i = 1, 2. We will derive necessary conditions (of the subdifferential type) for super minimizers of the sum F1 + F2 on the basis of advanced tools of variational analysis and generalized differentiation that are new in both finite-dimensional and infinite-dimensional settings for problems with single-valued and set-valued objectives.

Abstract:
The root-knot nematode incited by Meloidogyne incognita is one of the top diseases affecting tomato production worldwide. Nematicides can be effectively used to control the disease, but is costly and harmful to human life and environmental pollution. Alternatively resistant cultivars can be used inexpensive and eco-friendly. Resistance evaluation of five tomato cultivars (Red Rock, King Rock, Presto F1, Super Queen and Super Regina) were tested using randomized complete block design with five replications and three nematode inoculums (0, 500 and 1500 egg/second juvenile per pot). The statistical analysis gave significant differences among the genotypes, nematode densities level with their interactions. Among genotypes, Red Rock recorded significantly highest plant height (57.0) cm, Presto F1 (37.8) cm, King Rock (35.2) cm, Super Regina (30.1) cm and Super queen showed lowest (25.4) cm. As an alternative for managing the nematodes, further experiments are required in the field for applying plant resistances.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of the research conducted during the 2015– 2017 years. On the experimental field of the Department of Horticulture and Storage of V.V. Dokuchaev KNAU was determined the influence of the plant growth regulators on the formation of a marketable yield and the content of some components of the cauliflower hybrids chemical composition. The early ripening hybrids of cauliflower Livingstone F1 and Kul F1 were studied. The Humisol-super, Vympel, and Megafol were taken for the study. The experience was a two-factor: factor A was the features of the hybrid, factor B was drug treatment. The repetition was four-fold. Field experiments were carried out according to generally accepted methods. The cauliflowers` soil preparation and the plant care were carried out according to the generally accepted recommendations. Treatment with growth regulators was carried out by spraying plants during the growing season according to the manufacturers' recommendations. The first spraying was carried out after planting seedlings in the open ground; the subsequent spraying had been carried every 14 days. An option without treatment was taken as a control. As a result of the studies, it was found that treatment of cauliflower plants with growth regulators during the growing season significantly affects the yield of hybrids. Over the years of research, the highest yield of the Livingston F1 hybrid was obtained with the Megafol treatment, – 12,9 t/ha (+1,6 t/ha to control). The highest yield of the Kul F1 hybrid was 13,4 t/ha (+1,0 t/ha to control) during Humisol-super treatment. It has been proved that the usage of the growth regulators influenced the physical indicators of the commercial yield of hybrids. During the 2015–2017 years, the average weight of cauliflower heads increased by 2,1–11,8 % compared to the control, depending on the treatment. The Megafol had a greater effect on the hybrids. Plants` treatment with growth regulators increased the average volume of the hybrid head by 1,3–11,3 % compared to the control. In terms of influence on this indicator, Megafol and Humisol-super were the best drugs. It has been established that plant growth regulators affect the components of the cauliflowers' heads' chemical composition. The Vympel and Megafol increased the dry matter content in the Kul F1 hybrid by 1,0 and 1,4 %, respectively, compared with the control. The treatment of plants with the Humisol-super increased the ascorbic acid content in the heads of the Livingston F1 hybrid by 4,3 % compared to the control. It is recommended to apply the treatment of plants during the growing season with Humisol-super (1,5l/ha) and Megafol (2,3 l/ha) every 14 days to increase the yield and improve the physical parameters of cauliflower heads. Key words: cauliflower, hybrids, plant growth regulators, crop yields, physical yield indicators, chemical components.

Abstract:
Abstract The production of sweet corn has been increased recently. It is a very delicious vegetable species with wide variety assortment. Nowadays, new varieties which come to markets are characterized by improved properties, higher sugar content and their stability in storage. Thus, it is necessary to know basic variety parameters for better orientation in wide corn assortment. According to earliness, sweet corn varieties were classified to following groups: very early or early (RISING SUN F1; 874 F1; SF 1073 F1; SF 583 F1); middle-late (SF 681 F1; 1027 F1; ASTRONAUT F1); late (GALAXY F1; SPACE SHIP F1) and very late (MATADOR F1). The day number from tassel anthesis to harvest is an important parameter of sweet corn for potential grower and its lowest value was found at variety RISING SUN F1. On the basis of gained results, we classified all evaluated varieties to the group of super-sweet corn (sh-2) with slow decline of sugar content and storage possibility in cold conditions from 4 to 7 days after harvest. The sugar content of sweet corn is a parameter having important role for purchase by consumers. The variety had statistically significant impact to the sugar content and its highest value was determined at variety 874 F1.

Abstract:
Abstract Key message Heterosis QTLs, including qSS7 and qHD8, with dominance effects were identified through GBS and large-scale phenotyping of CSSLs and hybrid F1 populations in a paddy field. Abstract Heterosis has contributed immensely to agricultural production, but its genetic basis is unclear. We evaluated dominance effects by creating two hybrid populations: a B-homo set with a homozygous background and heterozygous chromosomal segments and a B-heter set with a heterozygous background and homozygous segments. This was achieved by crossing a set of 156 backcrossed-derived chromosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) with their recurrent parent (9311), the male parent of the first super-high-yield hybrid Liangyoupei9 (LYP9), and with the female parent (PA64s) of the hybrid. The CSSLs were subjected to a genotyping-by-sequencing analysis to develop a genetic map of segments introduced from the PA64s. We evaluated the heterotic effects on eight yield-related traits in the hybrid variety and F1 populations in large-scale field experiments over 2 years. Using a linkage map consisting of high-density SNPs, we identified heterosis-associated genes in LYP9. Five candidate genes contributed to the high yield of LYP9, with qSS7 and qHD8 repeatedly detected in both B-hybrid populations. The heterozygous segments harboring qSS7 and qHD8 showed dominance effects that contributed to the heterosis of yield components in the hybrid rice variety Liangyoupei9.

Abstract:
This research was conducted to observe the body weight gain and carcass quality of the hybrid chicken derived from the crossing between female F1 Kampung Super and male F1 Kampung-Broiler. The weekly weight gain for seven weeks and carcass quality, including breast yield, protein content, lipid content, moisture, and pH were measured with each group consists of six individuals. The chickens were slaughtered for meat quality measurements on the 7th week. The results showed that the hybrid chickens’ weight at the 7th week (888.22±139.63) was higher than layer (467.06±85.7) and pelung (436.39±42.33). The hybrid chicken’s breast yield (3.20%) was significantly higher than pelung’s (1.66%). These characteristics of hybrid chicken breast muscle lead to the conclusion that hybrid chicken is a potential alternative meat-type chicken with local chicken meat characteristics and has relatively fast growth.

AbstractThe tomato looper, Chrysodeixis chalcites (Esper) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a major pest that feeds on some fodder crops, vegetables, and ornamental plants in diverse plant families. We studied the effect of different cultivars of tomato including: Cal.JN3, Hed Rio Grande, Rio Grande UG, SUN 6108 f1, Super crystal, and Super strain B on the life history of C. chalcites under laboratory conditions (25±1 °C, 65±5% relative humidity, and 16:8 (light:dark hours). Data were analysed using the age-stage, two-sex life table method. Tomato cultivars had significant effects on developmental time of larvae, pupae, and total preadult stages of C. chalcites. The longest (17.39 days) and the shortest (13.93 days) larval period were observed on Hed Rio Grande and SUN 6108 f1, respectively. The longest pupal period was observed on Cal.JN3 (12.16 days) and Hed Rio Grande (12.11 days) compared with other cultivars. The lowest amount of larval growth index and rate of ovipositon days was observed on Cal.JN3. The results of this study revealed that Cal.JN3 and Hed Rio Grande were the less suitable cultivars to C. chalcites compared with other cultivars studied and can be used in integrated pest management programme of this pest.

Conducting research on the selection of varieties of red cabbage is an actual scientific and practical problem for the agriculture of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the research: selection of varieties and hybrids of red cabbage in the cultivation of its repeated culture in the summer-autumn period. The research was carried out at the Department of Vegetable Growing, Melon Growing and Potato Growing of the Tashkent State Agrarian University. Field experiments were conducted at the experimental base of the Research Institute of Plant Genetic Resources, located in Kibraisk district, Tashkent region. The soils are typical grey desert soil of long-standing irrigation with a humus layer thickness of 0.6–1.0 m. In 2015–2019, a collection of 24 different cultivars of red cabbage, a standant hybrid F1 Primero, was studied. The following varieties are distinguished: F1 Red Dynasty, F1 Super red, untitled from China, F1 Romanov, F1 Royal. Together with the standard and the F1 Omero hybrid, which is popular in the seed market of Uzbekistan, they were included in the preliminary variety testing. It was revealed that all the varieties tested in it belong to the group of early varieties according to the duration of the growing season (from planting to the first harvest, 84–92 days). In the competitive variety testing, 4 varieties were included together with the standard: the three most productive (untitled from China, F1 Ranchero, F1 Red Dynasty) and the F1Omero hybrid, which was characterized by high tying and marketability of heads. It was found that the most leafy varieties were: F1 Ranchero, untitled from China and F1 Red Dynasty, the least – F1Omero. The best knotting of the heads was distinguished by untitled cultivars from China and F1 Omero, the worst – F1 Red Dynasty. The largest heads in the nursery of the competitive variety test were formed by F1 Ranchero (1.13 kg) and untitled from China (1.12 kg), the smallest – F1 Omero (0.98 kg). In the nursery of competitive variety testing, the standard for total and commercial yield was surpassed by the varieties F1 Ranchero (42.8 and 34.3 t/ha), untitled from China (40.3 and 30.8 t/ha) and F1 Omero (38.2 and 31.7 t/ha, respectively). For cultivation in repeated culture, it is recommended to use the F1 Ranchero hybrid and the untitled variety from China.

Abstract:
The labeling of point clouds is the fundamental task in airborne laser scanning (ALS) point clouds processing. Many supervised methods have been proposed for the point clouds classification work. Training samples play an important role in the supervised classification. Most of the training samples are generated by manual labeling, which is time-consuming. To reduce the cost of manual annotating for ALS data, we propose a framework that automatically generates training samples using a two-dimensional (2D) topographic map and an unsupervised segmentation step. In this approach, input point clouds, at first, are separated into the ground part and the non-ground part by a DEM filter. Then, a point-in-polygon operation using polygon maps derived from a 2D topographic map is used to generate initial training samples. The unsupervised segmentation method is applied to reduce the noise and improve the accuracy of the point-in-polygon training samples. Finally, the super point graph is used for the training and testing procedure. A comparison with the point-based deep neural network Pointnet++ (average F1 score 59.4%) shows that the segmentation based strategy improves the performance of our initial training samples (average F1 score 65.6%). After adding the intensity value in unsupervised segmentation, our automatically generated training samples have competitive results with an average F1 score of 74.8% for ALS data classification while using the ground truth training samples the average F1 score is 75.1%. The result shows that our framework is feasible to automatically generate and improve the training samples with low time and labour costs.

Abstract:
SummaryDwarfing in rice has dramatically improved and stabilized rice yields worldwide, often controlled by a single dwarf gene, sd1. A novel semidwarf gene d60 complements the gametic lethal gene gal, such that the F1 between ‘Hokuriku 100’ (genotype d60d60GalGal, Gal: mutant non-lethal allele) and ‘Koshihikari’ (D60D60galgal, D60: tall allele) would show 25% sterility due to deterioration of gametes bearing both gal and d60. The F2 would segregate as one semidwarf (1 d60d60GalGal) : two tall and 25% sterile (2 D60d60Galgal) : six tall (2 D60d60GalGal : 1 D60D60GalGal : 2 D60D60Galgal : 1 D60D60galgal), skewed from a Mendelian segregation ratio of one semidwarf : three tall for a single recessive gene. To pyramid d60 and sd1, into the Japanese super-variety ‘Koshihikari’, the F1 (D60d60Galgal) of ‘Koshihikari’ × ‘Hokuriku 100’ was first backcrossed with ‘Koshihikari’, and the BCF1 segregated into a ratio of one tall and 25% sterile (D60d60Galgal) : two tall (1 D60D60Galgal : 1 D60D60galgal). Tall, 25% sterile BC1F1 plants (D60d60Galgal) were then selected for pollen sterility and backcrossed with ‘Koshihikari’ as the recurrent parent. It is unnecessary to grow out and select a semidwarf from the BCnF2 if a pollen parent with ∼70% pollen fertility is chosen from the BCnF1 to backcross with the recurrent parent. Semidwarfing genes d60 and sd1 were successfully pyramided into the ‘Koshihikari’ genome by crossing isogenic lines ‘Koshihikari d60’ and ‘Koshihikari sd1’, to produce ‘Minihikari’, a new parental source of both d60 and sd1. ‘Minihikari’ displayed super-short stature due to the combination of sd1 and d60, which are genetically and functionally independent.

Abstract:
The nature and magnitude of heterosis and combining ability was studied in 18 F1 hybrids involving three CMS lines and six testers using line × tester analysis. The analysis of variance for combining ability of all the traits showed that variances due to treatments, parents, hybrids were highly significant. The line ‘CRMS 32A’ and testers viz. ‘Super rice-8’, ‘R 1099-2569-1-1’ and ‘Jitpiti’ were identified as good general combiners. The significant differences between lines x testers interaction indicates that SCA attributed heavily in the expression of these traits and demonstrates the importance of dominance or non additive variances for all the traits. The hybrid ‘CRMS 32A’/‘R 1099-2569-1-1’ and ‘APMS 6A’/‘Super rice-8’ were promising for grain yield. The magnitude of relative heterosis, heterobeltiosis and standard heterosis were also estimated for different characters. A high degree of relative heterosis was observed for grain yield (20.45- 82.37%) in the hybrids viz., ‘CRMS 32A’/‘Super rice-8’, ‘APMS 6A’/‘Super rice-8’, ‘APMS 6A’/‘Jitpiti’ and ‘CRMS 32A’/‘R 1099-2569-1-1’. While, a higher degree of: heterobeltiosis (13.60 -68.37%) was observed for grain yield in the hybrids viz., ‘CRMS 32A’/‘Super rice-8’, ‘CRMS 32A’/‘R 1099-2569-1-1’, ‘APMS 6A’/’Super rice-8’ and ‘APMS 6A’/’Jitpiti’. A high degree of standard heterosis was observed for grain yield in the hybrid ‘CRMS 32A’/‘R 1099-2569-1-1’. The hybrid ‘CRMS 32A’/ ‘R 1099-2569-1-1’ recorded a high degree of relative heterosis (62.01%), heterobeltiosis (57.35%) and standard heterosis (15.05 and 25.51% over check hybrids, ‘Mahamaya’ and ‘Indirasona’, respectively) that can be tested on yield trials for its further testing over locations.

Abstract:
Abstract Corn is one of the most important cereal crop grown in Iran. A complete randomized design with four replications was used to analysis the influence of soil amendment of super absorbent polymer on grain yield and yield components of corn in center of Iran in 2016 and 2017. Treatments with super absorbent polymer were 0 kg/ha (S1), 15 kg/ha (S2), 30 kg/ha (S3), and treatments with fertilizers were 50% (F1), 75% (F2), 100% (F3), which could be combined into nine pots. The influence of super absorbent polymer was significant on spike weight in 2017, above-ground biomass in 2016, one hundred seed weight in 2016, and grain yield in 2017. There was no meaningful influence of super absorbent polymer on spike weight in 2016, above-ground biomass in 2017, 100 seed weight in 2017 and grain yield in 2016. Fertilizer treatments had significant influence on spike weight, above-ground biomass, 100 seed weight, and grain yield in both 2016 and 2017. The interaction between SAP and fertilizers had significant effect on above ground biomass in 2017. In both years, the highest spike weight, above ground biomass, 100 seed weight and grain yield was related to S3 (30 kg/ha), followed by S2 (15 kg/ha) and S1 (0 kg/ha), respectively. 100% application of fertilizer (F3) had obtained the maximum spike weight, above ground biomass, 100 seed weight and grain in both 2016 and 2017. Our data have shown that the applied SAP had a remarkable effect on corn growth and yield under different fertilization treatments, and its application of 30 kg/ha gave the best corn production index.

First pod height is an important trait, especially for snap bean since it enables the mechanical harvesting. Cultivars with low first pod height may be cut, damaged or not harvested by mechanical harvesting. In our investigation six different snap bean genotypes were used for examination of the first pod height and diallel analysis. The result was obtained by using method 2 model 1 GRIFFING (1956) for analysis of combining abilities. The mode of inheritance was different, as the results showed - from intermediate to super dominance, for both generations (F1 and F2). Analysis of combining abilities showed both influence of additive and dominant gene effects. Combination Sumadinka x Zora is suitable for further breeding for first pod height.

Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of foliar application of DAP and TSP on yield and yield attributing characters of lentil. Foliar application of DAP and TSP was performed at flowering and pod formation stages of lentil. Results revealed that maximum fresh weight of plant, nodule number and dry weight of nodule were recorded in F2 treatment at 50% flowering stage of lentil. F1 treatment produced higher branch plant-1 (2.66), pod plant-1(106.47) and seed yield (0.72 t ha-1) of lentil. DAP increased 6% higher grain yield than no foliar application of fertilizer. It may be suggested that foliar application of DAP is a better technology for increasing lentil production in drought prone area of Bangladesh. Abstract:
The study aimed to develop and evaluate an immediate-release tablet dosage form of Linagliptin. Different concentrations (ranges 5-10%) of super-disintegrants, Croscarmellose sodium (CCS), and Sodium starch glycolate (SSG) were used to prepare nine tablet dosage forms (F1 to F9) through the direct compression method. The compatibility of the formulations was evaluated by FTIR to reveal any possible drug-excipient interactions and it was proved to be compatible with all formulations. Precompression (bulk density, tapped density, Carr’s index, Hausner’s ratio, and angle of repose) and post-compression parameters (weight variation, hardness, thickness, and friability) were analyzed for all tablets and the results were found satisfactory as well as within limits as per USP guidelines. All the formulated batches (F1 to F9) exhibited disintegration of tablets within 2 minutes, where formulation F9 represented the lowest disintegration time (51±3 sec) which was also found significantly better than the marketed product (310±5 sec). In terms of drug dissolution, 90% of drug release was observed for all nine formulations within 45 minutes and formulation F9 (5% CCS and 5% SSG) illustrated the rapid and highest dissolution rate compared to the marketed one’s, 100% drug release at 20 minutes and 91.77 % drug release at 30 minutes successively. The respective data sets of drug release were mathematically fitted to several kinetic models and for all formulations, drug release pattern obeyed first-order kinetics amongst those, formulation F2 (r2= 0.98), F4 (r2= 0.99), F5 (r2= 0.98), and F9 (r2= 0.97) were found to be best fitted in this kinetic norm. Based on disintegration time and dissolution data comparison to a brand leader market product, F9 was experienced as the best formulation. Furthermore, it was observed that if SSG and CCS were combined, then these two parameters were more improved compared to their separate uses. Thus, incorporation of the optimum amount of super-disintegrants in a formulation showed rapid swelling, faster disintegration as well as ease of dissolution of tablet dosage forms. Abstract:
The main goals of sunflower breeding in Yugoslavia and abroad are increased seed yield and oil content per unit area and increased resistance to diseases, insects and stress conditions via an optimization of plant architecture. In order to determine the mode of inheritance, gene effects and correlations of total leaf number per plant, total leaf area and plant height, six genetically divergent inbred lines of sunflower were subjected to half diallel crosses. Significant differences in mean values of all the traits were found in the F1 and F2 generations. Additive gene effects were more important in the inheritance of total leaf number per plant and plant height, while in the case of total leaf area per plant the nonadditive ones were more important looking at all the combinations in the F1 and F2 generations. The average degree of dominance (Hi/D)1/2 was lower than one for total leaf number per plant and plant height, so the mode of inheritance was partial dominance, while with total leaf area the value was higher than one, indicating super dominance as the mode of inheritance. Significant positive correlation was found: between total leaf area per plant and total leaf number per plant (0.285*) and plant height (0.278*). The results of the study are of importance for further sunflower breeding work.

Abstract:
A cDNA library of TCR beta chain transcripts from BALB/c thymocytes was constructed using anchored polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Screening of this library led to the identification of a V beta gene segment, V beta 20, structurally related to V beta 3 and V beta 17. Genomic analysis of mice displaying deletions in their V beta loci, together with mapping of cosmid clones, situated V beta 20 2.5 kb beside V beta 17. The expression of V beta 20 was estimated by PCR in mice of different H-2 and Mls types. Peripheral T cells from H-2k and H-2d mice did not express V beta 20, whereas in I-E-negative mice (C57Bl/6 and SJL), V beta 20 transcripts were detected. The lack of V beta 20 transcripts in (C57Bl/6 x CBA/J)F1, (C57Bl/6 x BALB/c)F1, and in congenic B6.H-2k mice suggests that the differential use of V beta 20 is due to an I-E-mediated clonal deletion process. The involvement of the Mls super antigens was excluded by analysis of all Mls type combinations. The nature of the V beta 20-deleting element(s) is discussed in the context of the I-E/superantigen systems controlling the expression of V beta 11 and V beta 17.

Abstract:
Removing bounding surfaces such as walls, windows, curtains, and floor (i.e., super-surfaces) from a point cloud is a common task in a wide variety of computer vision applications (e.g., object recognition and human tracking). Popular plane segmentation methods such as Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC), are widely used to segment and remove surfaces from a point cloud. However, these estimators easily result in the incorrect association of foreground points to background bounding surfaces because of the stochasticity of randomly sampling, and the limited scene-specific knowledge used by these approaches. Additionally, identical approaches are generally used to detect bounding surfaces and surfaces that belong to foreground objects. Detecting and removing bounding surfaces in challenging (i.e., cluttered and dynamic) real-world scene can easily result in the erroneous removal of points belonging to desired foreground objects such as human bodies. To address these challenges, we introduce a novel super-surface removal technique for 3D complex indoor environments. Our method was developed to work with unorganized data captured from commercial depth sensors and supports varied sensor perspectives. We begin with preprocessing steps and dividing the input point cloud into four overlapped local regions. Then, we apply an iterative surface removal approach to all four regions to segment and remove the bounding surfaces. We evaluate the performance of our proposed method in terms of four conventional metrics: specificity, precision, recall, and F1 score, on three generated datasets representing different indoor environments. Our experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method is a robust super-surface removal and size reduction approach for complex 3D indoor environments while scoring the four evaluation metrics between 90% and 99%.

Abstract:
Objective: The aim of this work was to formulate and evaluate orally disintegrating tablets of cinnarizine that were prepared by direct compression method using different types of diluents and super disintegrants. The rationale behind this work was to accelerate the disintegration of the tablet to provide rapid dissolution, quick action and enhanced bioavailability of the drug. Methods: The tablets were prepared by direct compression method using different types of diluents as mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), and lactose. Different super disintegrants were used such as crospovidone (CP), sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and Kyron T-314; Kyron T-314 was used in different concentrations of 5%, 6%, 7%, and 8%. The prepared formulae (F1-F9c) were subjected to flowability studies and post-compression evaluation studies. The optimized formula was selected depending on the time of disintegration and dissolution; then it was subjected to drug-excipient compatibility study and stability study. Results: Flowability results were ranging from excellent, excellent to good, and good to fair according to the type of the diluent used. All of the prepared tablets showed acceptable hardness, friability, drug content, and disintegration. A rapid disintegration of 11.66±2.25 s with the highest percentage 2 min-drug release of 74.55±3.01% was obtained by using the diluent lactose and the super disintegrant Kyron T-314 (8%) in the formula F9c. The infrared spectroscopic studies of the formula F9c showed no drug-excipient interaction. In addition, the stability study indicated that the optimized formula is a stable formula. Conclusion: Formula F9c of a rapidly disintegrating tablet was easy to be manufactured, and the results showed that this formula had a rapid disintegration, high dissolution profile, no noticeable chemical incompatibility and it was stable upon storage.

Abstract:
Objective: The rationale for the study was to develop a once-daily dose of immediate as well as a gastro-retentive form of carvedilol phosphate by compression coating floating technique. Methods: In the presented study the core tablet was containing half the quantity of the drug formulated as floating drug delivery using different controlled release polymers blend in various proportions like ethyl cellulose, carbopol, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) K4, K15, and K100 by direct compression method. Outer coat layer was formulated with rest of the drug with the blend of different super disintegrants in various proportions like crospovidone, croscarmellose sodium (CCS), sodium starch glycolate (SSG) for the immediate release of the drug. Both the immediate and controlled formulation was separately formulated from sf1 to sf9 and f1 to f9 respectively. Based on the evaluation parameters finally, formulation F1 to F9 were formulated by applying compression coating floating method. These formulations were characterized for their tablet density, disintegration time, floating lag time, in vitro drug release, drug-excipients interaction and accelerated stability studies etc. Results: The result revealed formulation sf9 containing SSG of 15% was able to 97.2% of drug release within 15 min towards the achievement of immediate release. Similarly, the formulation f9 containing 0.5:0.5:4.5 ratios of ethyl cellulose, carbopol and HPMC K15 was able to 95.3% of drug release within 16h. From compressed coat tablets batches of F1 to F9, based on the dissolution data F9 was considered as an optimized formulation which was able to release 48.6% of drug release within 15 min and cumulatively controlled the release up to 96.4% for 16 h, followed zero-order kinetics and Higuchi pattern. Conclusion: The results obtained in this research work clearly indicated that the compression coating floating tablet of carvedilol phosphate was the best dosage form for the treatment of hypertension. Results of the evaluation of prepared batches indicate that the batch F9 is a promising formulation for both a quick onset of action as well as gastro-retentive dosage form to maintain the constant drug action which would improve the maximum therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance.

Abstract:
Background The success of a mobile phone app in changing health behavior is thought to be contingent on engagement, commonly operationalized as frequency of use. Objective This subgroup analysis of the 2 intervention arms from a 3-group randomized controlled trial aimed to examine user engagement with a 100-day physical activity intervention delivered via an app. Rates of engagement, associations between user characteristics and engagement, and whether engagement was related to intervention efficacy were examined. Methods Engagement was captured in a real-time log of interactions by users randomized to either a gamified (n=141) or nongamified version of the same app (n=160). Physical activity was assessed via accelerometry and self-report at baseline and 3-month follow-up. Survival analysis was used to assess time to nonuse attrition. Mixed models examined associations between user characteristics and engagement (total app use). Characteristics of super users (top quartile of users) and regular users (lowest 3 quartiles) were compared using t tests and a chi-square analysis. Linear mixed models were used to assess whether being a super user was related to change in physical activity over time. Results Engagement was high. Attrition (30 days of nonuse) occurred in 32% and 39% of the gamified and basic groups, respectively, with no significant between-group differences in time to attrition (P=.17). Users with a body mass index (BMI) in the healthy range had higher total app use (mean 230.5, 95% CI 190.6-270.5; F2=8.67; P<.001), compared with users whose BMI was overweight or obese (mean 170.6, 95% CI 139.5-201.6; mean 132.9, 95% CI 104.8-161.0). Older users had higher total app use (mean 200.4, 95% CI 171.9-228.9; F1=6.385; P=.01) than younger users (mean 155.6, 95% CI 128.5-182.6). Super users were 4.6 years older (t297=3.6; P<.001) and less likely to have a BMI in the obese range (χ22=15.1; P<.001). At the 3-month follow-up, super users were completing 28.2 (95% CI 9.4-46.9) more minutes of objectively measured physical activity than regular users (F1,272=4.76; P=.03). Conclusions Total app use was high across the 100-day intervention period, and the inclusion of gamified features enhanced engagement. Participants who engaged the most saw significantly greater increases to their objectively measured physical activity over time, supporting the theory that intervention exposure is linked to efficacy. Further research is needed to determine whether these findings are replicated in other app-based interventions, including those experimentally evaluating engagement and those conducted in real-world settings. Abstract:
Homologous apolipoproteins of MICOS complex, MIC26 and MIC27, show an antagonistic regulation of their protein levels, making it difficult to deduce their individual functions using a single gene deletion. We obtained single and double knockout (DKO) human cells of MIC26 and MIC27 and found that DKO show more concentric onion-like cristae with loss of CJs than any single deletion indicating overlapping roles in formation of CJs. Using a combination of complexome profiling, STED nanoscopy, and blue-native gel electrophoresis, we found that MIC26 and MIC27 are dispensable for the stability and integration of the remaining MICOS subunits into the complex suggesting that they assemble late into the MICOS complex. MIC26 and MIC27 are cooperatively required for the integrity of respiratory chain (super) complexes (RCs/SC) and the F1Fo–ATP synthase complex and integration of F1 subunits into the monomeric F1Fo–ATP synthase. While cardiolipin was reduced in DKO cells, overexpression of cardiolipin synthase in DKO restores the stability of RCs/SC. Overall, we propose that MIC26 and MIC27 are cooperatively required for global integrity and stability of multimeric OXPHOS complexes by modulating cardiolipin levels.

Abstract:
DNA barcoding, based on the sequencing of a short, standardized region of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI) gene has the potential to be a practical method for fish species identification in raw or processed fish products. The aim of this study was to identify the level of fraudulence in fish marketing particularly in super shops of Bangladesh. Different species of fish as whole or in fillet were collected from different supermarkets and local markets of Dhaka metropolis for examination. COI gene sequence was amplified using random primers (Fish F1, Fish F2, Fish R1 and Fish R2) and then compared with reference sequences from GenBank and BOLD (Barcode of Life Data Systems). The database was able to provide species matches of >85% sequence similarity for ten samples tested. The overall fraudulence was detected 80% but specifically for whole fish it was 85.71% and fraudulence for fish fillet was 66.67%. These naming discrepancies and ambiguities demonstrate that DNA barcoding can be a reliable tool for the detection of fish products mislabeling in Bangladesh. Therefore, it can be a useful tool for fraudulence control, law enforcement and guiding consumers to get rid of fish product fraudulence.Journal of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, Vol. 41, No. 1, 17-27 2017

In the present study we have formulated (F1 to F6) matrix tablets of atenolol and indapamide for the management of hypertension. As in simultaneous estimation of these drugs it was found that a confined release can be formulated. In the formulation of SR matrix tablet by using different concentration of delayed release agent DCP and pregelatinized starch as disintegrant we prepared tablets by wet granulation method. For sustained release action HPMC polymers were used for film coating. Preformulation studies were performed prior to compression. The compressed SR matrix tablets were evaluated for weight variation, hardness, friability, drug content, disintegration time and in vitro drug release using USP dissolution apparatus type 2 (paddle). It was found that the optimized formulation showed 49.33%, 48.90%, 48.52%, 47.65%, 46.84% and 46.51% release for atenolol in 12 hours respectively. However, indapamide released 49.62%, 49.39%, 48.72%, 48.27%, 47.59% and 47.36% at the end of 12 hr. The IR spectrum study revealed that there is no disturbance in the principal peaks of pure drugs atenolol and indapamide. This confirms the integrity of pure drugs and no incompatibility of them with excipients. The stability studies were carried out for the optimized batch for one months and it showed satisfactory results. The kinetic studies of the formulations revealed that diffusion is the predominant mechanism of drug and release follows Zero-order, Super case II transport.

Abstract:
First responders and recovery planners need accurate and quickly derived information about the status of buildings as well as newly built ones to both help victims and to make decisions for reconstruction processes after a disaster. Deep learning and, in particular, convolutional neural network (CNN)-based approaches have recently become state-of-the-art methods to extract information from remote sensing images, in particular for image-based structural damage assessment. However, they are predominantly based on manually extracted training samples. In the present study, we use pre-disaster OpenStreetMap building data to automatically generate training samples to train the proposed deep learning approach after the co-registration of the map and the satellite images. The proposed deep learning framework is based on the U-net design with residual connections, which has been shown to be an effective method to increase the efficiency of CNN-based models. The ResUnet is followed by a Conditional Random Field (CRF) implementation to further refine the results. Experimental analysis was carried out on selected very high resolution (VHR) satellite images representing various scenarios after the 2013 Super Typhoon Haiyan in both the damage and the recovery phases in Tacloban, the Philippines. The results show the robustness of the proposed ResUnet-CRF framework in updating the building map after a disaster for both damage and recovery situations by producing an overall F1-score of 84.2%.
