Abstract:
This paper aims to describe the role of Diploma I Cadastral Surveying and Mapping Program of National Land College (DI PPK- STPN) in fulfilling the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Indonesia. DI PPK-STPN was established in 1996 in Yogyakarta with the aim to meet the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Adjudication Program. Previously, in Indonesia, the candidate of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant was educated through the short course program. The method is descriptive, informative, which describes ability and competence owned by alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN. Identification of the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN can describe the number of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant of Indonesia. By looking at the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN, we can see the level of adequacy of the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in the acceleration program of land registration in Indonesia. To achieve the ideal number of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Indonesia, the existence of DI PPK-STPN is still needed.

Abstract:
AbstractAccounting for errors in wildlife surveys is necessary for reliable status assessments and quantification of uncertainty in estimates of population size. We apply a hierarchical log-linear Poisson regression model that accounts for multiple sources of variability in count data collected for the Integrated Waterbird Management and Monitoring Program during 2010–2014. In some large-scale monitoring programs (e.g., Christmas Bird Count) there are diminishing returns in numbers counted as survey effort increases; therefore, we also explore the need to account for variable survey duration as a proxy for effort. In general, we found a high degree of concordance between counts and effort-adjusted estimates of relative abundance from the Integrated Waterbird Management and Monitoring Program (x̄difference = 0.02%; 0.25% SD). We suggest that the model-based adjustments were small because there is only a weak asymptotic relationship with effort and count. Whereas effort adjustments are reasonable and effective when applied to count data from plots of standardized area, such adjustments may not be necessary when the area of sample units is not standardized and surveyor effort increases with number of birds present. That is, large units require more effort only when there are many birds present. The general framework we implemented to evaluate effects of varying survey effort applies to a wide variety of wildlife monitoring efforts.

Abstract:
STKIP Bina Bangsa Getsempena (STKIP BBG) is one of the private tertiary institutions in Aceh that was established in 2003. During its 15 years of establishment, STKIP BBG has been through an accreditation program by BAN-PT with good results. Even in 2018, STKIP BBG received an award as the best PT Kopertis XIII version of the high school category. This is inseparable from the support in the implementation of Education programs, reports, and alumni selection programs in their work in the world of work after completing the Education program at STKIP BBG. So far, the implementation of the alumni selection program in the form of tracer studies can capture as much as 20-30% according to the needs of the forms. However, this is felt to still need to be improved in order to improve the quality and relevance of the Education program at STKIP BBG in the future. Therefore, the Advanced Career Center Assistance Program especially tracer study will greatly help get accurate feedback from graduates. The tracer study at STKIP BBG will involve 220 alumni graduating in 2017 using the PDCA approach involving surveyors and alumni groups spread across various regions and islands. The results of the tracer study can at least (1) determine the transition of STKIP BBG graduates in the world of work; (2) mapping horizontal and vertical alignment of STKIP BBG graduates; (3) mapping the competency gaps of graduates and the demands of the world of work; (4) assisting government programs in order to strengthen the monitoring system of PT Indonesia graduates, especially in Aceh. Abstract:
Abstract The Health Care Financing Administration has introduced new concepts for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 survey program. Surveyors now look at the laboratory as a whole as opposed to each regulatory requirement independently. This quality assurance approach allows the surveyor to assess the laboratory's ability to provide quality test results as well as identify and correct its own problems. Significant problems in laboratories are more easily identified using this method. Another new concept allows good performing laboratories to go longer between on-site surveys by completing a self-assessment questionnaire on alternate cycles. The Health Care Financing Administration is asking both surveyors and laboratories to evaluate these new approaches. The Health Care Financing Administration continues to work with the Food and Drug Administration through our Memorandum of Understanding to assess Food and Drug Administration requirements in hospitals and laboratories that provide transfusion services. Transfusion-related fatalities must be reported to the Food and Drug Administration and may be investigated by either the Health Care Financing Administration or the Food and Drug Administration. For fatalities needing investigation by both agencies, every effort will be made to conduct these jointly.

Full text
Abstract:
Objective: This study was done to assess the contraception and abortion content of nurse practitioner (NP) and midwifery programs in Canada. Methods: In June 2014, we mailed out surveys to program directors for each of the 32 accredited NP programs in Canada and seven accredited midwifery programs. The mailing included a copy of the questionnaire, a cover letter explaining the purpose of the study, a pre addressed envelope for return of the survey and a pre addressed response card to determine if the respondent wanted a copy of the results. We analyzed the responses using descriptive statistics and content and thematic analysis Results: We received sixteen NP surveys and two midwifery surveys making the response rate 70% and 40% respectively. More than half of the NP programs reported that they did not offer information about options counseling, first-trimester abortion procedures, and/or post-abortion care in their didactic curriculum. Our study found that if the mifepristone/misoprostol regimen was introduced in Canada 50% of NP programs and 100% of midwifery programs would teach it didactically. Conclusion: Abortion education in Canadian NP and midwifery programs is severely limited. It is important to incorporate comprehensive information on contraception and abortion in both didactic and clinical curricula. Medication abortion receives the lowest rates of inclusion in both NP and midwifery programs, but there is overall support for the inclusion of mifepristone into existing didactic curriculum. In programs that cater to rural and remote communities there is a definite need to incorporate medication abortion training, particularly given the anticipated approval of mifepristone for use in early pregnancy termination.

Abstract:
An assessment of a software engineering program has been carried out by reviewing state-of-the-art literature pertaining to software engineering education. Six surveys have been adopted and the result implies that the balance of the curriculum should be revised, and that software engineering education ought to expand the technical oriented knowledge areas somewhat. Relevant curriculum data have been derived hereby, which also confirms other studies in the area. This data, along with a benchmark of the software engineering program to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK), is very constructive to universities as it assists educators, trainers, and software engineering practitioners in evaluating, designing, and recommending existing and proposed curricula.

Mohamed, Rasha. "Das Programm "Gesunde Dörfer" in Syrien : eine empirische Analyse." Phd thesis, Universität Potsdam, 2011. http://opus.kobv.de/ubp/volltexte/2011/5554/.

Full text
Abstract:
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" (WHO definition). Therefore WHO and the Ministry of Health in Syria implemented the "Healthy Villages" program in 1996. It aims at improving the population's economic, social and health condition in the country. It should decrease the big difference in health care between urban and rural populations. The project objective is to statistically analyze the influence of the program on economic and health parameters in comparison with other villages not related to the program. For this purpose, survey data is collected and appraised in Syria. The evaluation of the survey in the present work showed that the program achieved successfully its objectives regarding the improvement of the health and quality of life in the "Healthy villages" program. In addition to the reduction of the number of working children, encouraging women to work and continue studying, as well as to reduce the illiteracy rate. However these results are not applied to northern and Eastern region.

Abstract:
Purpose. The purpose of this study was to describe the administration of gifted education programs in rural Alaskan school districts for grades K-6. A secondary purpose was to extrapolate from the survey data successful programs and procedures currently adopted in rural Alaskan schools for gifted and talented education. Procedures. A survey instrument was developed and mailed to a sample of 47 rural Alaskan school superintendents. Findings. In 94% of the schools sampled, gifted education programs existed, and served approximately 7% of the school population. Intellectual ability and specific academic ability were the definitions most utilized. All the districts used multiple identification criteria, with individual IQ tests, achievement test scores, general aptitude tests, and teacher nomination as the most utilized methods. Math, language arts, and computers were the most highly implemented curricular options with 74% of the districts providing programs in those areas. Half of the districts provided for curricula in the fine and performing arts. Although Native children comprised over 50% of the districts population, they were only 19.5% of the gifted program. One-fifth of the program provided special definitions of giftedness that were culturally relevant, 40% provided special identification methods for Native children. Special programs incorporating the Native culture were provided by 26% of the districts. The community was active in gifted programs primarily through the use of mentors. Planning, assessment, evaluation, and support were engaged in by about one-fifth of the communities. Successful programs, as reported by the respondents, appear to be those which combine both the traditional, academically oriented curricula and the more non-traditional offerings related to leadership, arts, and Native cultural and linguistic areas. Community mentors, interested teachers, and use of outside resources such as the fine arts and computer camps offered within the state are the means to accomplish such a diversity of programs in small schools. Recommendations. The commitment to gifted education as evidenced by the survey should continue. Gifted programs should be expanded to include those elements of a successful program as indicated by the survey respondents--academically oriented curricula as well as inclusion of leadership, the arts, and Native cultural and linguistic areas.

Abstract:
The study assesses consumer drone efficiency for surveying shallow-water benthic cover. We hypothesised that using a drone would reduce duration, and manpower requirements, while increasing accuracy, relative to manual surveys. Results obtained during this study clearly indicated that automated drone surveys were faster and more accurate than manual survey methods under most circumstances. This result has important implications for the scientific and economic aspects of the process and would have a multiplicative effect in monitoring programs that require regular surveys.

Abstract:
Abstract TGN operates a system of 9,000 kilometers of natural gas pipelines with numerous river crossings. According to the mandatory monitoring program, river crossings are visited at least once a year with additional visits for major rivers during the rainy season. Basic data such as depth of cover for each line, photographs and descriptions are surveyed in the field. Later on, this information is manually entered in an electronic form for its use in risk analysis, to evaluate the need of remediation works. This task has two main problems: first, it is very time consuming for surveyors, and second, it is difficult to know the location within the river crossing where data was taken. At the end, monitoring forms came late in the year and its information is difficult to understand. To cope with this problem, a new approach was developed. A GIS mobile application was developed and installed in tablets used in the field, guiding the surveyor through the completion of an electronic form along each pipeline, having a satellite image in the background, as a global reference of where he is standing. All the information is geo-referenced using a built-in GPS. Once it is finished, by means of a simple WIFI/4G connection, information is sent to GIS servers, without the need to be typed at the office. Later on, it is captured and placed into the monitoring form format. Specialists can access and evaluate this information from the database visualizing it in the corporate GIS with minimum delay. This improvement has resulted in a significant decrease in time for the entire data flow process and a better quality of the information gathered, which results in a more realistic risk analysis.

Abstract:
The need of professional master’s degree program in Information systems (MSIS) has been in great demand during the past few years. There may be several reasons for the people to pursue this particular degree. May be that obtaining MSIS degree help the people to climb to the next level of their current position, or as a source to networking with other people for future jobs, or for self esteem and their satisfaction, or as a graceful exit from the long road to a PhD program. Whatever the reason may be there is increase in demand for MSIS program. The purpose of this paper is to survey the MSIS degree programs and their curriculums from twenty colleges and universities across the United States. The information gathered from this survey as well as information gathered in previous such surveys is evaluated and used to create a suggested program curriculum, which provides useful information for academic heads and faculty who are interested in starting a new MSIS program, or revising an existing program.
