Abstract:
This paper aims to describe the role of Diploma I Cadastral Surveying and Mapping Program of National Land College (DI PPK- STPN) in fulfilling the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Indonesia. DI PPK-STPN was established in 1996 in Yogyakarta with the aim to meet the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Adjudication Program. Previously, in Indonesia, the candidate of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant was educated through the short course program. The method is descriptive, informative, which describes ability and competence owned by alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN. Identification of the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN can describe the number of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant of Indonesia. By looking at the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN, we can see the level of adequacy of the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in the acceleration program of land registration in Indonesia. To achieve the ideal number of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Indonesia, the existence of DI PPK-STPN is still needed.

Abstract:
AbstractAccounting for errors in wildlife surveys is necessary for reliable status assessments and quantification of uncertainty in estimates of population size. We apply a hierarchical log-linear Poisson regression model that accounts for multiple sources of variability in count data collected for the Integrated Waterbird Management and Monitoring Program during 2010–2014. In some large-scale monitoring programs (e.g., Christmas Bird Count) there are diminishing returns in numbers counted as survey effort increases; therefore, we also explore the need to account for variable survey duration as a proxy for effort. In general, we found a high degree of concordance between counts and effort-adjusted estimates of relative abundance from the Integrated Waterbird Management and Monitoring Program (x̄difference = 0.02%; 0.25% SD). We suggest that the model-based adjustments were small because there is only a weak asymptotic relationship with effort and count. Whereas effort adjustments are reasonable and effective when applied to count data from plots of standardized area, such adjustments may not be necessary when the area of sample units is not standardized and surveyor effort increases with number of birds present. That is, large units require more effort only when there are many birds present. The general framework we implemented to evaluate effects of varying survey effort applies to a wide variety of wildlife monitoring efforts.

Abstract:
STKIP Bina Bangsa Getsempena (STKIP BBG) is one of the private tertiary institutions in Aceh that was established in 2003. During its 15 years of establishment, STKIP BBG has been through an accreditation program by BAN-PT with good results. Even in 2018, STKIP BBG received an award as the best PT Kopertis XIII version of the high school category. This is inseparable from the support in the implementation of Education programs, reports, and alumni selection programs in their work in the world of work after completing the Education program at STKIP BBG. So far, the implementation of the alumni selection program in the form of tracer studies can capture as much as 20-30% according to the needs of the forms. However, this is felt to still need to be improved in order to improve the quality and relevance of the Education program at STKIP BBG in the future. Therefore, the Advanced Career Center Assistance Program especially tracer study will greatly help get accurate feedback from graduates. The tracer study at STKIP BBG will involve 220 alumni graduating in 2017 using the PDCA approach involving surveyors and alumni groups spread across various regions and islands. The results of the tracer study can at least (1) determine the transition of STKIP BBG graduates in the world of work; (2) mapping horizontal and vertical alignment of STKIP BBG graduates; (3) mapping the competency gaps of graduates and the demands of the world of work; (4) assisting government programs in order to strengthen the monitoring system of PT Indonesia graduates, especially in Aceh. Abstract:
Abstract The Health Care Financing Administration has introduced new concepts for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 survey program. Surveyors now look at the laboratory as a whole as opposed to each regulatory requirement independently. This quality assurance approach allows the surveyor to assess the laboratory's ability to provide quality test results as well as identify and correct its own problems. Significant problems in laboratories are more easily identified using this method. Another new concept allows good performing laboratories to go longer between on-site surveys by completing a self-assessment questionnaire on alternate cycles. The Health Care Financing Administration is asking both surveyors and laboratories to evaluate these new approaches. The Health Care Financing Administration continues to work with the Food and Drug Administration through our Memorandum of Understanding to assess Food and Drug Administration requirements in hospitals and laboratories that provide transfusion services. Transfusion-related fatalities must be reported to the Food and Drug Administration and may be investigated by either the Health Care Financing Administration or the Food and Drug Administration. For fatalities needing investigation by both agencies, every effort will be made to conduct these jointly.

Abstract:
The research aim is to evaluate the implementation of the New Bible Readers (Pembaca Baru Alkitab/ PBA) program by the Indonesia Bible Institute (Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia/ LAI) which is conducted in the West Sumba district. This evaluative research applies the qualitative descriptive method with CIPP as the evaluation model. The research subjects are the Head of Surveyor and Evaluator, Program Manager, Field Head Staff, Regional Coordinator, and Tutor. The data collection is the interview, observation, and documentation study. The data validation was obtained through the method and data source triangulation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by conducting data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The evaluation result on the Context Components reveals that the PBA LAI program is required by the congregation of churches in West Sumba. The Input Components of PBA LAI program was constructed systematically and directed to answer the needs of the stakeholders and the congregation’s literacy state. The programs were supported by competent human resources in accordance with the criteria set and prepared with training, facilities and budget that support the program implementation for one year, and the required procedures and regulations. The Process Component shows that the whole planned programs have been carried out successfully. However, the result shows that the main obstacle in the implementation of the program was the learning process that ran out of the planned schedule. In addition, there was a lack of supervision by the regional coordinator that didn’t go as planned. On the Product Component, shows that the PBA LAI program has given a positive impact in accomplishing the goal of the citizens have learned basic literacy (reading, writing, and counting) within the short term goal, as for the long term goal. And as the long term goal, the congregation has learned to take part and improve their role in serving the church. Lastly, based on the results above, the writer would like to give a suggestion to the Program Manager to execute sufficient program developments and improve the program quality for the program sustainability.

Abstract:
246 Background: Since 2006, the ASCO QOPI certification program has certified 322 practices, of which 197 practices have recertified. This retrospective study compares the number and type of standards passed at the time of initial and subsequent re-certification, and examines if on-site audits at the original certification influenced re-certification scores. Methods: 87 unique US practices that obtained QOPI certification with on-site audits at the original and re-certification between 2006 and 2014 were included. 17 QOPI certification standards were included in the analysis. Standards are metric based, except 3 standards that are observable. We defined total score per certification round as the total number of standards passed and used a Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test to test the concordance of standards passed between rounds. Linear regression models were used to identify factors related to higher recertification scores. A two-sided p<0.05 defined statistical significance. Results: 31 practices (36%) showed concordance of the 3 observable standards in the initial and re-certification rounds. For standards that assess policies, procedure and credentials of the practice, and do not require direct observation, 52 practices demonstrated improvement whereas 14 did not (p<0.0001). In contrast, for the standards that require direct observation, only 22 practices showed improvement versus 34 that did not (p=0.07). Three standards were most commonly missed in both rounds: initial chart documentation and at each clinical visit, and double verification of chemotherapy administration. There were no significant predictors of higher recertification scores. Conclusions: Many diverse oncology practices are voluntarily achieving and maintaining QOPI certification. Sustainable improvement is easier to identify in policy-based measures compared to directly observed ones. Three standards not usually passed at recertification highlight the need for assessment of psychosocial and performance status, comprehension of treatment goals, and chemotherapy double-verification. On-site evaluation of practices is key for targeting and sustaining quality efforts.

AbstractWith the goal of constructing Star-Formation Rates (SFR) from AKARI Infrared Camera (IRC) data, we analyzed an IR-selected GALEX-SDSS-2MASS-AKARI(IRC & Far-Infrared Surveyor) sample of 153 nearby galaxies. The far-infrared fluxes were obtained from AKARI diffuse maps to correct the underestimation for extended sources raised by PSF photometry. SFRs of these galaxies were derived using the SED fitting program CIGALE. In spite of complicated features contained in these bands, both the S9W and L18W emissions correlate with the SFR of galaxies. The SFR calibrations using S9W and L18W are presented for the first time. These calibrations agree well with previous work based on Spitzer data within the scatter, and should be applicable to dust-rich galaxies.

Abstract:
Erosion, sediment production, and routing on a tectonically active continental margin reflect both tectonic and climatic processes; partitioning the relative importance of these processes remains controversial. Gulf of Alaska contains a preserved sedimentary record of the Yakutat Terrane collision with North America. Because tectonic convergence in the coastal St. Elias orogen has been roughly constant for 6 My, variations in its eroded sediments preserved in the offshore Surveyor Fan constrain a budget of tectonic material influx, erosion, and sediment output. Seismically imaged sediment volumes calibrated with chronologies derived from Integrated Ocean Drilling Program boreholes show that erosion accelerated in response to Northern Hemisphere glacial intensification (∼2.7 Ma) and that the 900-km-long Surveyor Channel inception appears to correlate with this event. However, tectonic influx exceeded integrated sediment efflux over the interval 2.8–1.2 Ma. Volumetric erosion accelerated following the onset of quasi-periodic (∼100-ky) glacial cycles in the mid-Pleistocene climate transition (1.2–0.7 Ma). Since then, erosion and transport of material out of the orogen has outpaced tectonic influx by 50–80%. Such a rapid net mass loss explains apparent increases in exhumation rates inferred onshore from exposure dates and mapped out-of-sequence fault patterns. The 1.2-My mass budget imbalance must relax back toward equilibrium in balance with tectonic influx over the timescale of orogenic wedge response (millions of years). The St. Elias Range provides a key example of how active orogenic systems respond to transient mass fluxes, and of the possible influence of climate-driven erosive processes that diverge from equilibrium on the million-year scale.

Abstract:
Abstract Objectives Nutrition International (NI) sought to standardize and add novel indicators to the multiple coverage surveys conducted each year on maternal, newborn, infant and child nutrition programs to assure quality and timely, gender-related data that meets next-generation monitoring needs. Methods In collaboration with Campbell Collaboration (CC) and University of Toronto (UT), NI developed a comprehensive step-wise survey toolkit with multiple intervention modules using a systematic process for selecting and contextualizing indicators (NI), validating data quality (NI-UT) and piloting gender indicators derived based on statistical modelling results using Demographic and Health Survey gender and nutrition related data (CC-NI). The resulting Nutrition Information Monitoring Systems (NIMS) toolkit now includes ODK formatted questionnaire templates, quality control and assurance checklists and ready-to-use SPSS syntax for data analysis and interpretation purposes. NIMS derives its results from household-level information through the following modules: zinc and Oral Rehydration Salts coverage for diarrhea treatment, maternal-newborn nutrition, weekly iron-folic acid supplementation among adolescent girls, and infant and young child nutrition – each with selected knowledge components and newly-devised gender-related questions to inform NI's nutrition-sensitive programs. Selected modules were implemented in NI's ten intervention countries 2019–20. Results Application of these procedures and quality metrics allowed NI program officers to: 1) systematically assess quality during data collection – identifying and correcting surveyor errors and potential sampling bias in a timely fashion, 2) validate and visually demonstrate data quality to relevant stakeholders, and 3) produce quality assured data within 1–3 weeks, compared to 1–3 months for previous surveys that did not use the NIMS procedures and tools. Conclusions This systematic approach facilitated reporting timely, quality assured nutrition program data to inform how NI interventions and gender-related analyses will identify how NI's programming can be more gender-responsive. Abstract:
Abstract Background Robust household sampling, commonly applied for population-based investigations, requires sampling frames or household lists to minimize selection bias. We have applied Google Earth Pro satellite imagery to constitute structure-based sampling frames at sites in Pikine, Senegal; Pietermaritzburg, South Africa; and Wad-Medani, Sudan. Here we present our experiences in using this approach and findings from assessing its applicability by determining positional accuracy. Methods Printouts of satellite imagery combined with Global Positioning System receivers were used to locate and to verify the locations of sample structures (simple random selection; weighted-stratified sampling). Positional accuracy was assessed by study site and administrative subareas by calculating normalized distances (meters) between coordinates taken from the sampling frame and on the ground using receivers. A higher accuracy in conjunction with smaller distances was assumed. Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn multiple pairwise comparisons were performed to evaluate positional accuracy by setting and by individual surveyor in Pietermaritzburg. Results The median normalized distances and interquartile ranges were 0.05 and 0.03–0.08 in Pikine, 0.09 and 0.05–0.19 in Pietermaritzburg, and 0.05 and 0.00–0.10 in Wad-Medani, respectively. Root mean square errors were 0.08 in Pikine, 0.42 in Pietermaritzburg, and 0.17 in Wad-Medani. Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn comparisons indicated significant differences by low- and high-density setting and interviewers who performed the presented approach with high accuracy compared to interviewers with poor accuracy. Conclusions The geospatial approach presented minimizes systematic errors and increases robustness and representativeness of a sample. However, the findings imply that this approach may not be applicable at all sites and settings; its success also depends on skills of surveyors working with aerial data. Methodological modifications are required, especially for resource-challenged sites that may be affected by constraints in data availability and area size.

Abstract:
The involvement of community figure is one form of participation in health development, including in the Healthy Indonesia Program with Family Approach (PIS-PK). The purpose of this study was to determine the role of community figure in PIS-PK. The type of study was a qualitative study in one kelurahan which was included in the working area of Community Health Care (CHC) Banjarnegara 1 in Banjarnegara District, Central Java, which was chosen purposively. Data collection was done by in-depth interview. The key informants were community figure, namely from the kelurahan (kelurahan head and its staff) and community members who were considered community figure in the village. Data triangulation was done by conducting in-depth interview with the head and staff of community health centre and the community. Data that has been obtained was analyzed thematically. The results of the study showed that community figure played an important role in the implementation of PIS-PK as sources of information about PIS-PK, helping field organizing, helping prepare complete families documents, assisting CHC staff and surveyor in home visits and helping solve problems that arise, and generally playing a role in the smooth implementation of PIS-PK. Social support from the local government and communities can be a motivation to continue to play a role in supporting the success of PIS-PK.

Abstract:
Background: Henry Hellyer was an accomplished surveyor and explorer in Australia in the early 1800s whose apparent suicide at the age of 42 has puzzled historians for generations. He left behind several written works, including letters, journals, and reports. Aims: The current study assessed changes in the ways Hellyer used words in his various written documents during the last 7 years of his life. Methods: Hellyer’s writings were analyzed using the Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count program. Results: Hellyer showed increases in first-person singular pronoun use, decreases in first-person plural pronoun use, and increases in negative emotion word use. As this is a single, uncontrolled case study, caution is recommended in generalizing from the current results. Conclusions: Results suggest Hellyer’s increasing self-focused attention, social isolation, and negative emotion. Findings are consistent with increasing depression and suicidal ideation. Implications for using computerized text analysis to decode people’s psychological states from their written records are discussed.

Abstract:
NASA’s suborbital program provides an opportunity to conduct unique science experiments above Earth’s atmosphere and is a pipeline for the technology and personnel essential to future space astrophysics, heliophysics, and atmospheric science missions. In this paper, we describe three astronomy payloads developed (or in development) by the Ultraviolet Rocket Group at the University of Colorado. These far-ultraviolet (UV) (100–160[Formula: see text]nm) spectrographic instruments are used to study a range of scientific topics, from gas in the interstellar medium (accessing diagnostics of material spanning five orders of magnitude in temperature in a single observation) to the energetic radiation environment of nearby exoplanetary systems. The three instruments, Suborbital Local Interstellar Cloud Experiment (SLICE), Colorado High-resolution Echelle Stellar Spectrograph (CHESS), and Suborbital Imaging Spectrograph for Transition region Irradiance from Nearby Exoplanet host stars (SISTINE) form a progression of instrument designs and component-level technology maturation. SLICE is a pathfinder instrument for the development of new data handling, storage, and telemetry techniques. CHESS and SISTINE are testbeds for technology and instrument design enabling high-resolution ([Formula: see text]) point source spectroscopy and high throughput imaging spectroscopy, respectively, in support of future Explorer, Probe, and Flagship-class missions. The CHESS and SISTINE payloads support the development and flight testing of large-format photon-counting detectors and advanced optical coatings: NASA’s top two technology priorities for enabling a future flagship observatory (e.g. the LUVOIR Surveyor concept) that offers factors of [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]50–100 gain in UV spectroscopy capability over the Hubble Space Telescope. We present the design, component level laboratory characterization, and flight results for these instruments.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the perception of propensity to trust and organizational commitment of quantity surveyors and examine if propensity to trust among working partners enhances organizational commitment of quantity surveyors. Design/methodology/approach – Organizational commitment and propensity to trust is linked through the framework of social exchange. Quantitative approach with questionnaire survey is employed to investigate whether propensity to trust would enhance organizational commitment. Questionnaires are sent to the quantity surveyors who are professional members of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and are working in the Hong Kong construction industry. In total, 71 valid responses are obtained for data analysis. Findings – Contrary to prediction, propensity to trust does not show significant relationship with both affective and continuance commitment. The two propensity to trust scales show different results on the relationship with normative commitment (NC). When working relationship is taken into consideration, quantity surveyor’s propensity to trust the partner who has the worst working relationship has significant and positive impact on the surveyor’s NC level; whilst quantity surveyor’s propensity to trust the partner who has the best working relationship does not has significant positive impact on the surveyor’s NC level. Practical implications – To improve propensity to trust among quantity surveyors, consultant companies should provide professional-related training programme to quantity surveyors as to explore their potential. The provision of training programs would also help quantity surveyors feel that they are supported by the organization, which would improve their commitment to the organization. Originality/value – This is the first study to apply the social exchange theory to study organizational commitment within the quantity surveying profession and construction industry, which provides a new point for understanding the concept amongst the profession and industry.

Abstract:
Context: Interprofessional education (IPE), an emerging theme in health professional education programs, intends to prepare students for collaborative practice in order to improve patient outcomes. In 2012, the profession of athletic training strategically began to increase program participation in IPE. Objective: This article compares 2 studies that examined the presence of IPE in athletic training. Design: Cross-sectional design utilizing similar surveys regarding athletic training program participation in, and readiness for, IPE initiatives were administered via Qualtrics in 2012 and 2015. Patients and Other Participants: Program directors of Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education–accredited athletic training programs were surveyed in 2012 and 2015 using the “Interprofessional Education Assessment and Planning Instrument for Academic Institutions” in addition to program demographic information and IPE participation. Data Collection and Analysis: The participants involved included 160 of 367 surveyed (43.6%) in 2012 and 162 of 380 surveyed (42.6%) in 2015. Results: Data were analyzed, and χ2 analysis revealed a significant relationship between level of accreditation and academic unit housing the program in both studies. Significant change was also shown in program participation in IPE from 2012 to 2015. However, institutional readiness and infrastructure for IPE was low in nearly all categories. Conclusions: Interprofessional education has a greater presence in Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education professional programs that reside in health science–related academic units and are accredited at the master's level. However, less than 50% of the programs participate in IPE. There is also a need for greater institutional infrastructure and readiness for IPE.

Abstract:
Abstract Background In Canada, there has been discussion about restructuring the accreditation process for residency education programs with the possibility of exempting selected programs from regular, on-site, external reviews. Objective We assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a structured and rigorous internal review that identified program strengths and weaknesses, with the aim of allowing well-performing programs to be exempt from external reviews or to facilitate a significant lengthening of the review cycle. Methods We simulated all aspects of a regular, on-site, external review. All participants (program directors, program coordinators, faculty surveyors, and resident surveyors) were trained and performed all components of a formal external review. Participants completed an online survey to assess perceptions of the process and outcome. Results The overall response rate was 73% (109 of 149). Most respondents perceived the process to be either extremely or very rigorous (84%), fair (82%), and unbiased (75%). Those with previous review experience (77%) reported that the internal review process simulated a regular, on-site, external review either well or very well (mean rating 4.87, SD 0.90). Most program directors reported the cited list of program strengths to be either extremely or very appropriate (74%, 26 of 35). Perceptions of fairness, bias, and the appropriateness of cited program strengths and weaknesses depended on review outcome. Conclusions A structured and rigorous internal review process that simulates a regular, on-site, external review is feasible and could yield a list of program strengths and weaknesses for use in ongoing assessment and improvement.

Abstract:
This paper reports results of a study that explored relationships between administrative structures of BSW programs and both program efforts and achievement levels in relationship to six major issues confronting BSW programs. In particular, the research investigated Sheafor's hypothesis that there are significant differences among administrative structures in the level of effort required to maintain identity, visibility, autonomy, access to resources and linkages: but none in efforts related to governance. Two hundred and forty-three of the 354 BSW program directors surveyed returned usable questionnaires. The study found negligible relationships between administrative structures of BSW programs and levels of program efforts and achievement of program objectives. Implications of the study for BSW programs and suggestions for future research are discussed.

Abstract State forestry officials responsible for forestry incentive programs in each of the 13 southern states were surveyed concerning their opinions on financial incentive programs available to nonindustrial private forest owners. The forestry officials were asked to name and describe the public and private programs available in their state, to assess forest owners' awareness of each program, its appeal among the owners aware of it, its effectiveness in encouraging sustainable forestry and enabling owners to meet their objectives, and the percent of program practices that remain in place and enrolled acres that remain in forest over time. They also were asked to suggest ways to improve the programs. The Forest Stewardship, Forest Land Enhancement, and Forest Legacy Programs were among the top rated federal programs. Programs sponsored by states and private organizations tended to be more narrowly targeted than federal programs and scored well for specific attributes. The forestry officials' suggestions for program improvement centered largely on improving program visibility and availability, increasing and ensuring long-term consistency in program funding, and simplifying the application and approval process.

Abstract:
Background/: Buccal tubes are orthodontic attachments used on the posterior teeth instead of bands, so it is important to focus on the effect of their properties on orthodontic treatment. The aims of the present in vitro study are to evaluate and compare the buccal tube front and back openings dimensions and the torsional play angle of six different brands. Materials and Methods: The samples consisted of Single bondable, non-convertible first molar buccal tubes from six brands supplied from six companies (Dentaurum, Forestadent, Ormco, 3M, American Orthodontic, A-Star). Regarding tube opening dimension, ten buccal tubes of each brand were examined by an optical microscope. Each tube was fixed during examination using synthetic mud and oriented for observation of the front and back slot openings. A picture was taken for both tube openings and the result appeared on the computer's screen where width and height measurements were made. While regarding torsional play angle, ten buccal tubes of each brand were used. Each tube was fixed on a metal block attached to a surveyor base. Then an L-shaped wire was inserted inside the front opening of the tube. Two photographs were taken, one with the wire in free fall position and the other with the wire elevated by a 10g weight with the same angle of shooting as the first photograph. Later, the two images were superimposed in Adobe Photoshop program, and an electronic MB-ruler Software was used to calculate the angle which represents the torsional play within each tube. The data were then statistically analyzed using ANOVA and LSD tests. Results: There are marked differences between measured tube dimensions and the manufacturer stated dimensions with the front tube openings being generally larger than the back opening dimensions. Furthermore, the torsional play angle was highest in A-Star and smallest in Ormco's tubes. This angle was significantly correlated to the height of the tube front opening. Conclusion: It can be concluded that tube dimension varies among different companies and effect greatly torsional play angle.

The Staff Qualifications and Education (SQE) is a chapter in the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation (Fifth Edition)[i] which describes the standards of Medical Staff & Staffing Management Standards in DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV) Standard, Interpretive Guidelines and Surveyor Guidance for Hospitals, May 2013, Version 3.0.[ii] JCI Accreditation is a USA based international healthcare accrediting organization, whereas DNV is a Norway based international accreditation organization. The DNV International Accreditation Standard for Hospitals are based on the National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO) standard platform developed in the United States (US), and has been adopted by hospitals around the world as a new standard of excellence. These standards integrate clinical and patient safety requirements with proven quality principles into one seamless program. It’s a highly developed management system uniquely formulated to promote excellence within hospitals. However, both these standards are accredited by Ireland based International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), which is the only accrediting organization who “accredit the accreditors' in the world. Methods: This is a comparison study (normative comparison) in which the researcher has critically analyzed and compared the Staff Qualifications and Education (SQE) standards in the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation (Fifth Edition) and Medical Staff & Staffing Management Standards in DNV Standards for Hospitals, May 2013, Version 3.0.Data Collection: Primary data are collected from the JCI Accreditation Standards for hospitals, fifth edition, and DNV Standards for hospitals, Version 3.0. Secondary data are collected from relevant published journals, articles, research papers, academic literature and web portals. Objectives of the Study: The aim of this study is to analyze critically SQE Standards in JCI Accreditation and Medical Staff & Staffing Management Standards in DNV Standards to point out the best among both these international standards. Conclusion: This critical analysis of SQE, MS and SM standards in JCI and DNV Accreditation for hospitals clearly shows that the SQE Standards in JCI Accreditation are very comprehensive, to the point and are much better than the DNV Accreditation.

Abstract:
The study aimed to gain a better understanding of age-related construction worker’s health and safety issues and discuss practical solutions to improve safety and health of the older workers in the construction industry. A two-page survey questionnaire was developed and sent out to the safety managers, directors, or coordinators in the construction firms. The participants were employed in 27 companies that employed 12,452 employees and have been in business for an average of 75 years. All of the companies had a written safety program, but only 50% of the companies represented in the survey had the Health and Wellness programs. The findings suggested that the construction industry was in fact well aware of the worker health concerns that the aging construction workforce has been facing. The survey also revealed that there was an overwhelming agreement that older workers were still very valuable to the industry. The occupational ergonomic, health and safety professionals should pay more attend to develop creative and effective health/wellness programs that any size organization can use, with the ultimate goal being to have a sustainable and healthier aging workforce in the industry. The results of other findings are also discussed in detail.

Abstract:
In campus recreation programs, major problem areas within (a) technology, (b) personnel, and (c) perception and value were identified. The subjects were campus recreation directors throughout North America. The surveyed directors expressed the extent to which they agreed or disagreed with literature-based, potential problem areas within campus recreation programs. Areas primarily agreed upon as being major problem areas within campus recreation were: the availability of quality officials (61%), perception of program by institution (49%), and value of program as perceived by higher administration (47%). Generally, in order to improve programs, directors should place an emphasis on attaining and training quality officials and implement a public relations campaign that positively portrays their program.

Abstract:
Abstract Selected forestry officials in each of the 20 northern states were surveyed concerning their opinions on the public and private financial incentive programs available to nonindustrial private forest owners in their state. The officials were asked to name and describe the programs and to assess forest owners' awareness of each one, its appeal among the owners aware of it, its effectiveness in encouraging sustainable forestry and enabling owners to meet their objectives, and the percentage of program practices that remain in place and enrolled acres that remain in forest over time. They also were asked to suggest ways to improve the programs. The Forest Stewardship, Forest Land Enhancement, and Forest Legacy Programs were among the top-rated federal programs, scoring well for all measures and attributes. Programs sponsored by states and private organizations tended to be more narrowly targeted than federal programs and scored well for specific attributes. The forestry officials' suggestions for program improvement centered largely on program visibility and availability, increasing and ensuring long-term consistency in program funding, and simplifying the application and approval processes.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Background Since 2013, the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) has asked all programs to declare themselves to be “all in” or “all out” for the NRMP. Before this rule was enacted, program directors who were surveyed expressed concerns about what they anticipated with the change, including resources for increased applications and potential delays with residency start times. Objective This study investigated the positive and negative effects of the rule change on recruiting seen from the perspective of internal medicine (IM) program directors. Methods In this mixed model cross-sectional survey, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–accredited IM program directors were surveyed regarding their impressions of the impact of the policy change. Data were aggregated using constant comparative analysis. Results A total of 127 of 396 (32%) IM program directors responded, and 122 of 127 (96%) identified their program as “all in.” A total of 110 respondents expressed impressions of the rule change, with 48% (53 of 111) reporting positive responses, 28% (31 of 111) neutral responses, and 24% (27 of 111) negative responses. Programs with higher percentages of visa-holding residents had lower positive responses (37% [22 of 60] versus 61% [31 of 51]). Resident quality was felt to be unchanged or improved by most program directors (93%, 103 of 111), yet 24% (27 of 112) reported increases in delayed start times for visa-holding residents. Qualitative analysis identified increased fairness, at the expense of an increase in program resources as a result of the change. Conclusions A slight majority of residency programs reported a neutral or negative impression of the rule change. Since the rule change, program directors noted increased application volume and delayed residency starts for visa-holding residents.

Abstract:
IntroductionNurses are leaders and primary health responder/providers in natural, anthropic and technological disasters. Preparation and education for nursing emergency and disaster response should begin before nursing program graduation and before disaster events occur. In Louisiana, 17 federally-declared disaster declarations were experienced from 2000 – 2009, ranging from the Space Shuttle “Columbia” to Hurricane “Katrina”. This presentation overviews Louisiana nursing programs' disaster preparedness and operational planning as demonstrated to Louisiana's Schools of Nursing Aligned for Emergency Responsiveness (SAFER) Conference, New Orleans, 2010. Co-sponsored by Dillard University, Division of Nursing, New Orleans, and Northwestern State University, College of Nursing, Shreveport, the invitational conference brought expert nurse and physician preparedness speakers from federal, state and local venues to review disaster planning, experiences, needs, and nurse preparedness competencies with nurse faculty leadership.MethodsA multiple choice survey was developed, trialed and emailed to 42 Louisiana Nursing Programs. Programs surveyed included Associate degree, Bachelors and Graduate-level providers for Registered Nurses as well as Vocational Technical programs for the Licensed Practical Nurse. National Planning Scenario threat priorities; impacts of federally declared disasters on Louisiana nursing programs; nursing program roles in disaster; and awareness of nurse emergency preparedness competencies were queried.Results34 of 42 surveys were returned. 20 were complete. Nursing programs were located state-wide and found in 7 of 9 Louisiana regions. Surveyed programs offered a Bachelors degree (45%); Graduate degree (35%); Associate degree (35%) and vocational or Licensed Practical Nursing (35%).ConclusionsThe majority of Louisiana nursing programs and their health communities have been impacted by federally declared disasters. Coordinated efforts to improve nursing program preparedness education, roles and responsibility are warranted as vulnerability increases.

Abstract:
School administrators from three mid-Atlantic cities were surveyed regarding the levels of emphasis given to components from their university-based leadership preparation programs. Three components—ethics, equity, and community engagement—are explored for this article due to their influential relationship with school response to changing demographics. Using a sliding scale, participants indicate that tasks related to all three components were emphasized in their programs, with ethics highlighted the most and community engagement highlighted the least. Negative statistical significance was found between the independent variable, time since program completion, and the components equity and ethics. This indicates that those who completed their programs longer ago perceive less emphasis on the two components. An analysis follows on how educational leadership program standards may influence what programs emphasize.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Background Community health centers (CHCs) and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) are critical health care access points for medically underserved areas in the United States. They also provide opportunities for residents to learn about health system challenges, including workforce shortages, social determinants of health, and health equity. Objective We sought to describe current obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) resident engagement and training in community health settings. Methods We conducted a website review and survey to identify the prevalence and types of OB-GYN resident exposure to CHCs, including FQHCs. We reviewed 241 program websites to identify community health electives or rotations. We then surveyed program administrators regarding departmental affiliations with CHCs, types of resident involvement, and barriers to resident rotations at CHCs. Results The website review revealed that 18% (44 of 241) of programs offered a community health rotation. Of the 241 programs surveyed, 78 program administrators responded (32%). Forty-three programs (55%) had at least 1 affiliated CHC, and 34 programs (44%) allowed residents to rotate at a CHC. The most common barrier to resident rotations at a CHC was inadequate resident coverage of hospital-based clinical responsibilities. Respondents reported that among 782 graduating residents in the 2016–2017 and 2017–2018 academic years, 76 (10%) planned to pursue a position at a CHC. Conclusions According to their websites, a small percentage of US OB-GYN residency programs offered a CHC rotation. Of programs responding to a survey on the topic, less than half offered CHC rotations and less than 1 in 10 residents planned to work in CHCs after graduation.

Abstract:
Using an experiential learning model as a conceptual background, this article discusses characteristics and learning objectives for well-known foreign study programs such as study tours, study abroad, and internships and compares them with a less common overseas program called the Global Marketing Program (GMP). GMP involves interdisciplinary student–faculty team travel abroad to conduct marketing research on behalf of U.S. companies. International business foreign study program professionals were surveyed and rated the importance of key student learning objectives for these programs. The study abroad program and study tour are well suited for cultural immersion; the international internship provides development of international business skills as well as cultural immersion at levels higher than the other three programs. The GMP outperforms the study tour and study abroad in the development of international business skills and surpasses the study tour in providing cultural immersion for students. The GMP and international internships are identified as the more appropriate foreign study experiences for development of future global marketing professionals.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> A new course of C++ programming for cartographers and surveyors has been developed. Pedagogical experiments were carried out in the period of 2009–2019 in Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography. The new course focuses on the use of cartographic tasks and geodetic exercises to illustrate various programming language constructions. Direct and inverse geodetic problem, position determination via a topographic map, work with a theodolite when performing angular measurements, leveling, etc. are considered in training modules. Programs are used as supporting data during the lectures, and as tasks for practical. This is the main purpose of the training. Currently, more than fifty training programs are used in the training process. All programs contain no more than 60 lines of code to ease the understanding of the program by students. The examples the typical training programs for students studying the C++ are discussed. The first program Theodolite is designed to study the concept of class, constructor, destructor, and object-oriented programming in general. The second program focuses to solve the inverse of the geodetic task.</p>
