We consider an [Formula: see text] supersymmetric U(N) gauge theory with an adjoint chiral multiplet. By developing a self-consistent Hartree-Fock approximation to the leading order which is reminiscent of that of the BCS/NJL in the superconductivity/chiral symmetry, we show that the [Formula: see text] supersymmetry is spontaneously broken, giving a mixed Majorana-Dirac mass term for gaugino due to the nonvanishing D-term VEV and F-term one induced by D-term.

We present a stringy realization of the ISS metastable SUSY breaking model with moduli stabilization. The mass moduli of the ISS model is stabilized by gauging of a U(1) symmetry and its D-term potential. The SUSY is broken both by F-terms and D-terms. It is possible to obtain de-Sitter vacua with a vanishingly small cosmological constant by an appropriate fine-tuning of flux parameters. A D-parity violated SUSY SU (4)× SU (2)L× SU (2)R gauge model with the Higgs sector [Formula: see text] + some (1, 1, 1)'s is shown to have the following advantages: (i) It is a very simple solution that satisfies MX=M string ≈0.5 × 1018 GeV and M INT ≈ 5 × 1011 GeV in superstring inspired SO(10) GUT's. (ii) The proton is stable by the automatic "doublet–triplet splitting" closely connected with the D-parity violation. (iii) The minimization of SUSY one-loop effective potential in a toy model suggests that the SO(10) gauge theory tends to break dynamically down to the SU (4)× SU (2)L× SU (2)R
