Jordan is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world and contains very limited reserves of traditional energy resources. In fact, the country is classified as extremely water scarce according to FAO, with a water availability of less than 100 m3 per person annually. Additionally, in 2017, 94% of total primary energy resources were imported. In parallel, the Kingdom’s population has more than doubled since 1997, due mainly to regional instability, putting a further strain on resources. Furthermore, climate change will only exacerbate water scarcity issues in the coming years. The objec

Lithuania has limited domestic energy resources, and is therefore, heavily dependent on imports of oil products and natural gas. Lithuania imported around 90% of its oil and 100% of natural gas in 2009. Therefore, it is vital to evaluate different pathways the country could take in order to achieve desirable energy security, and ensure sustainable development of the energy system in Lithuania

First, the currently used fossil energy sources are primary energy sources that are not renewable and reusable. As a result, the problem of energy decline gradually arose while plenty of energy was being consumed. Second, the production of fossil energy varies across regions, with the Middle East being the top producing region. However, the political instability and long-waged wars in the Middle Eas

This dissertation explores the potential of renewable energy and efficiency strategies to solve the energy challenges faced by the people living in the biosphere reserve of El Vizcaíno, which is located in the North Pacific region of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. This research setting provides a practical analytical milieu to understand better the multiple problems faced by practitioners and agencies trying to implement sustainable energy solutions in Mexico. The thesis starts with a literature review (chapter two) that examines accumulated international experience regarding the de

Access to electricity is a scarcity throughout sub-Saharan African countries. The region currently has the lowestrate of energy access in the world and a total of 13 countries have an electrification rate of 25%. Comprehensiveenergy security is regarded as essential to obtaining sustainable and economic development in which access toaffordable and clean energy is part of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030.A country in the region that has had some sporadic success with electrification and unique developments withrenewable energy, is Ethiopia. Legal aspects of alternative fuels' use in transport Abstract What connects solar energy, palm oil and the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline? All these topics have one common denominator, i.e. alternative fuels. This group of fuels, which is represented by electricity, hydrogen or biomethane, has the ambition to replace fossil fuels and reduce the negative environmental effects of the sectors of the economy where fossil fuels are used - in transport and energy. This thesis focuses on the transport sector and pursues two lines. The first part of the text examines, by using the exam

ABSTRACT : The largest problem facing human beings today is global warming. Every day, due to heavy consumption of petroleum and nuclear products, a huge amount of electricity is used. This electricity, in turn, fuels the global industry that produces cooling and warming systems for buildings, and this worrying reality has created a lot of biological disasters by adding pollution to our environment, including the increase of greenhouse gas etc. Currently, seventy percent of developing countries are located in hot temperature climates. In addition to dealing with hot climate issues, these

Text in English<br>Energy is the natural power stored in matter which can be potential and kinetic energy. This occurs in nature in various forms such as chemical energy, thermal energy, electromagnetic radiation, gravitational energy, electric energy, elastic energy, nuclear energy, and rest energy. The scientific research relating to nuclear energy has revealed that atoms are the foundation of matter. In 1905 Albert Einstein initiated the quantum revolution utilising the Newtonian mass-energy equivalence concept in order to put his famous equation: E =mc2, where energy is (E). This facilitat
