Sammanfattning Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet med studien var att jämföra ett damallsvenskt lag med det svenska damlandslaget i total belastning, total distans, högintensiva löpningar (HL), mycket högintensiva löpningar (MHL) samt sprints (S). Frågeställningarna var följande: Skiljer sig total belastning och total distans mellan de två lagen? Finns det skillnader i total belastning och total distans mellan olika positioner? Finns det skillnader i HL, MHL samt S i antal genomförda och sträcka mellan lagen och mellan olika positioner? Metod Studien genomfördes på åtta kvinnliga fotbollsspelare (ålder 27±1,8, längd 168±4,7, vikt 65±4,7). Dessa representerar ett damallsvenskt lag som spelade i övre delen av tabellen under år 2017. För att genomföra mätningen användes ett GPS-system (MinimaxX S4). Mätningen genomfördes under match vilken spelades på naturgräs. Vidare har värden från landslagets 12 spelare inhämtats från SvFF (ålder 28±4,5, längd 174±5, vikt 64±4,2). Resultat Resultatet visar att klubblagets totala belastning var 186 större än landslagets. Ingen signifikant skillnad fanns mellan de två lagen. Klubblagets mittfältare belastades 19 % mer än landslagets. Vidare belastades klubblagets anfallare 33 % mer än landslagets medan backarna i klubblaget belastades med 7 % mer än landslagets. Klubblaget sprang 15 % längre än landslaget. Ingen signifikans fanns mellan lagen. Klubblagets totala distans visar att spelarna sprang längre än landslaget på alla positioner. Resultatet visade vidare att det inte fanns någon signifikans mellan lagen för HL, MHL och S. Klubblaget sprang 1 % fler antal meter HL och 13 % fler antal meter MHL än landslaget. Landslaget sprang även 3 % fler antal meter S än klubblaget. Den procentuella skillnaden mellan lagen var 19 % fler antal genomförda HL och 9 % fler antal genomförda MHL samt 17 % fler antal S än klubblaget. Landslaget genomförde fler antal HL, MHL och S på samtliga positioner. Slutsats Studien visar att det inte finns någon signifikant skillnad mellan grupperna. Dock genomförde landslaget fler S i antal och sträcka vilket överensstämmer med tidigare studier som visar att lag som spelar på högre nivå genomför fler högintensiva aktioner under en match. Studiens omfång bör utökas för att vidare undersöka dessa variabler.
Abstract Aim The aim of this study was to compare a Swedish top league soccer team to the Swedish national team during a competitive game. Comparisons included measurements in player load, total distance covered, high-speed running (HL), very high-speed running (MHL) and sprint (S). The research questions were: Is there a difference in player load and total distance covered between the teams? Is there a difference in player load and total distance covered between different playing positions? Is there a difference in HL, MHL and S in performed and meters covered between different positions and between the two teams?     Method The number of participants were eight female soccer players (age 27±1,8, length 168±4,7, weight 65±4,7). They played in the top of the league during the season of 2017. A GPS system (MinimaxX S4) was used to collect data. The game was played on nature grass in the last round of the season. The National team values were supplied by SVFF where 12 players participated (age 28±4,5, length 174±5, weight 64±4,2). Results The Swedish league team had 186 higher player load than the National team where no significant difference was found. Furthermore, the Swedish league team’s midfielders were loaded 19 % more than the national team’s. The Swedish league attackers were loaded 33 % more than the national team’s. The difference in player load between the defenders was 7 % higher for the Swedish league team’s. The Swedish league team covered 15 % more meters in total distance where no significant difference was seen. All players in the Swedish league team covered the longest distance. There were no significant difference between number of performed and meters covered in HL, MHL and S. The Swedish league team covered 1 % more meters HL and 13 % more meters MHL than the National team. The National team covered 3 % more meter S than the Swedish league team. The National team performed 19 % more HL and 9 % more MHL than the Swedish league team. In total, the National team performed more HL, MHL and S than the Swedish league team.      Conclusion No significant difference was found between the two teams. Although, the National team covered higher number of S performed and meters which is in accordance to previous surveys which shows more high-speed actions is performed in higher competition levels during a game. The survey should be expanded to further examine the demands for women’s soccer.

Denna uppsats har sin utgångspunkt i genus- och gestaltningsteori och målet var att redogöra för de eventuella skillnader som existerar i Aftonbladets rapportering om svenska herrlandslaget i fotboll och svenska damlandslaget i fotboll. Detta genomfördes med en kvalitativ textanalys av totalt 8 artiklar som skrevs och publicerades om de respektive landslagen inför herrarnas VM 2018 och damernas VM 2019. Resultatet från studien kom att bekräfta vår tes om att skillnader faktiskt förekommer. Resultatet från studien som genomfördes påvisar tydliga skillnader vad gäller såväl artiklarnas huvudsubjekt, samt från vems eller vilkas perspektiv som artiklarna är skrivna utifrån. En tydlig indikator på den (icke)rådande balansen i rapporteringen var rollen som Svenska Fotbollförbundet (SvFF) iklädde sig i samband med de båda mästerskapen. SvFF och dess representanter figurerade ofta i samband med rapporteringen om herrlandslaget men betydligt mer sällan i samband med rapporteringen om damlandslaget ett år senare. Strukturen i rapporteringen om herrlandslaget framstår mer omfattande och gedigen jämfört med den om damlandslaget, något som inger känslan av att det är förstnämnda är skrivet på grund av att det existerar ett läsintresse och det sistnämnda på grund av att det behöver skrivas. Flera identifierade faktorer i studien understryker och förstärker det faktum att manligt fotbollsspelande betraktas som norm och kvinnligt fotbollsspelande som något avvikande.
The aim of this study was to find and reveal the differences in the reports about the Swedish men’s national football team and the Swedish women’s national football team in one of Sweden’s biggest newspaper - Aftonbladet. The theories applied in the study were gender theory and Gestalt theory. A qualitative text analysis was used while we examined 8 articles written and published during the days before each national team played their first game in the FIFA World Cup 2018 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019. The result based upon the study points towards differences in how (and who) Aftonbladet use as the main subject of the articles, and also obvious differences in regards of the perspective presented in the articles. A clear indicator of the non-existing balance in the World Cup-coverage was the role of Swedish Football Federation (SvFF). SvFF and its representatives figured mainly in the coverage about the Swedish men’s national team while barely nothing at all in the coverage about the Swedish women’s national team during their World Cup one year later. The overall structure of the coverage about the men’s national team appears more solid and extensive compared to the coverage on the women’s national team. Several identified factors in the study emphasizes and strengthens the fact that men’s football is seen as normative while women’s football is seen as something deviant.

Sportbladet writes about the Swedish women’s football national team when the results are good and when the matches are not that far away How has Sportbladet been reporting about the Swedish women’s football national team during their European and World Championships in the past 15 years? I have done a quantitative content analysis in which I have looked into how the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, in their sport edition Sportbladet, has reported on the Swedish women’s national team in football during their European and World Championships for the past 15 years. In order to do this, I have read all the editions of Sportbladet during the last eight big tournaments that the women’s national team have been playing in. In total, I have read around 170 editions of Sportbladet. While reading these newspapers, I have been looking at a number of various aspects, for example, what these articles have been about, how big they have been and also which person is most commonly interviewed. As well as the quantitative content analysis, I have also done a series of interviews with both football personalities and journalists from Sportbladet. In total I have interviewed two former coaches of the national team, one former player with 118 games for the Swedish women’s national team caps and three journalists that have covered these tournaments for Sportbladet. In this study these six people have been given the opportunity to reflect over Sportbladets contribution during these championships. The resultat of this study was pretty much what I expected. Sportbladet have covered the most successful championships with the highest intensity and the number of articles has been raised for every year. This progress is probably because of a increased interest from Sportbladet’s readers. All the interviewees were more or less satisfied with the performance and deliverance from Sportbladet, even though most of them thought it would be great if more women got the chance to write as well as men. All of them said that there was and is a professional relationship between the newspaper and the national team and that everybody involved knows for what reason both parts are present. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences as well as the similarities between the coverage and representation of the coaches of the Swedish men's national team and women's national team. The method we used for our study was quantitative content analysis. We examined 473 articles in the two Swedish tabloid newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen. Some of the major results that we found in the study were that the representation of the coach of the men's national team were more positive than the women's coach. 76 articles about Jan Andersson, coach for the men's team were positive, while 25 articles about Pia Sundhage, coach for the women's team were positive. We also found out that the men's national team were in far more articles than the women's team. 340 articles were about the men's team and 133 articles were about the women's team.

This essay examines if there is any difference how the two biggest tabloids in Sweden, Aftonbladet and Expressen is portraying the Swedish national football team for both woman and men. The purpose is to compare and see if there is any difference regarding what gender you have. We have also examined what gender the authors for the articles have. We have used a quantitative content analysis to get our results. In conclusion, there is a big difference in medial space regarding what gender you have. But there is no significant difference how the reporters are using their language depending what national team they’re writing about. There is also a big majority of male reporters that writes about the national teams.
