Abstract:
Social relations in modern times is now very universal, without limitation of religion, race, and class, then it allows two people of different religions into love, affection, and was about to enter into marriage. On the other hand, freedom of religion in Indonesia is guaranteed in the Constitution and protected in points on human rights. In Islamic law known several methods in the determination of a law one of which is Syad Zari’ah, is defined as preventive measures to avoid the ugliness. Imam al-Syatibi, One philosopher of Islamic law has its own ideas about these methods. In Usul al-Fiqh Study, Syad Zari’ah interpreted as closing the road that leads to destruction. Imam al-Syatibi at defining about Syad Zari’ah “do a job which all contain kindness changed to an ugliness”. someone doing a job that basically allowed because it contains a kindness, but the objectives to be achieved end on an ugliness. haram law in this case not because of his own actions, but the law forbidden here because the objectives to be achieved from such actions. this is called the practice of Syad Zari’ah. This method is deemed the application form from the rules of fiqh “dar’u al-mafasid muqaddamun ‘ala jalbi al-masalih”. From the other side, haram law here is also based of maqasid syari’ah in keeping religion in order to avoid switching to another religion

Abstract:
In this study we try to describe polygamy in the perspective of Syadz adz-Dzari'ah, namely prevention, because it is feared that there will be conflicts within the family, between wives and husbands, between other wives, and between children. This research is a comparative literature study, the study material comes from literature sources. The technique of collecting data is by means of observation data collection (organizing data). Second, through library research. namely seeing, observing, seeking. The approach uses qualitative. The data were then collected and analysis techniques were carried out. The results of the data analysis were written in descriptive form. Data analysis used the content analysis stage, comparative analysis (content analysis and differentiating analysis). analyzing polygamy in the perspective of Syad ad-Dzari'ah. Polygamy when it causes ongoing conflicts and is unable to provide legal solutions, it is better to avoid it because when conflicts and disputes occur, the household will not be realized as sakinah mawaddah wa rahmah and barakah families. Even though marriage aims to find happiness, tranquility, blessings and all one's actions after marriage have the value of worship.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to answer the formulation of the problem of how is the objective condition of Islamic law in the politics of law in Indonesia and to find a concept to integrate Islamic Islamic law into State law. The research method is qualitative with a normative, philosophical and sociological approach. Substantially, the idea of formalizing Islamic law in Indonesia cannot be maximized without adaptation and reform to Islamic law, namely through ijtihad and maslahat. Every text of the Al-Qur’an and hadith that contains the law must contain maslahat. So that maslahat is an attempt to explore the meaning of the text of the Al-Qur’an. Maslahat is operationally manifested in the form of ijtihad theories, for example; qiyas, maslahah mursalah, istihsan, syad al-zdari’ah and urf. Likewise, maslahat affirmation of laws that are not contained in the Al-Qur’an and hadith, can be confirmative and can also be negative. The identification of maslahat as the essence of maqashid al-sharia is based on 1) the texts of the Al-Qur’an, the majority of which are in the form of amar and nahyu, (2) Illat and wisdom found in al-Quran and hadith, (3) al-Istiqra’.

Adapun yang menjadi permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apa saja pesan-pesan dakwah yang terkandung dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat? dan bagaimana perspektif penari terhadap pesan dakwah yang terdapat dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pesan-pesan dakwah yang terkandung dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat dan juga untuk mengetahui pemahaman penari dalam memahami pesan dakwah yang terdapat dalam syair tari Rateeb Meuseukat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi, khususnya dengan penari Rateeb Meuseukat di Sanggar Seni Seulaweuet. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kemudian dideskripsikan. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pesan dakwah yang terkandung dalam sya’ir tarian Rateeb Meuseukat berupa ajakan kepada umat manusia agar selalu ingat kepada kematian dan juga selalu beribadah kepada Allah SWT. Sya’ir tarian Rateeb Meuseukat mengandung beberapa nasehat dalam menjalani hidup di dunia ini. Dari perspektif penari, hasil yang ditemukan adalah masih banyaknya penari yang belum mengetahui dan memahami keseluruhan isi dari pesan dakwah yang terdapat dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat karena susahnya memahami bahasa Aceh yang digunakan dalam lirik sya’ir tarian ini. Penari juga belum mampu menyampaikan pesan dakwah yang terdapat dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat kepada penonton dikarenakan lebih fokus kepada gerakan sehingga belum mampu menghayati pesan dakwah yang terkandung dalam sya’ir tari Rateeb Meuseukat.

Tidak ada argument untuk menolak kualitas sanad hadis dikatakan shahih, sepanjang seluruh periwayat yang terdapat yang terdapat dalam sanadnya berkualitas tsiqah dan mutassil, yakni sanadnya bersambung. Faktanya ada sanad hadis yang tampak berkualitas shahih akan tetapi setelah dilakukan penenlitian ulang dan seksama melalui komparasi semua matan yang semakna, ditemukan adanya kejanggalan. Dalam wacana ilmu hadis kejanggalan dinamai syaz atau syudzudz. Cabang ilmu ini menegaskan bahwa kegiatan penelitian sanad masih belum dinyatakan selesai bila penelitian tengtang kemungkinan adanya syaz belum dilaksanakan dengan cermat. Penelitian ini akan membahas wacana syaz dan permasalahannya dalam wacana ilmu hadis.

Abstract:
Coordinated membrane and cytoskeletal remodeling activities are required for membrane extension in processes such as cytokinesis and syncytial nuclear division cycles in Drosophila. Pseudocleavage furrow membranes in the syncytial Drosophila blastoderm embryo show rapid extension and retraction regulated by actin-remodeling proteins. The F-BAR domain protein Syndapin (Synd) is involved in membrane tubulation, endocytosis, and, uniquely, in F-actin stability. Here we report a role for Synd in actin-regulated pseudocleavage furrow formation. Synd localized to these furrows, and its loss resulted in short, disorganized furrows. Synd presence was important for the recruitment of the septin Peanut and distribution of Diaphanous and F-actin at furrows. Synd and Peanut were both absent in furrow-initiation mutants of RhoGEF2 and Diaphanous and in furrow-progression mutants of Anillin. Synd overexpression in rhogef2 mutants reversed its furrow-extension phenotypes, Peanut and Diaphanous recruitment, and F-actin organization. We conclude that Synd plays an important role in pseudocleavage furrow extension, and this role is also likely to be crucial in cleavage furrow formation during cell division.

Abstract:
Syed Ahmed Khan is understood as the harbinger of modern education amongst Muslims of South Asia. There is a general scholarly consensus that it was through his educational efforts that English medium education came to Muslims who were otherwise aligned with traditional religious education. The commentary argues that this consensus needs revision and that Muslims were already accessing modern education through the English medium even before Syed Ahmed started his college at Aligarh. Moreover, the commentary also problematizes the notion of Muslim community within Syed Ahmed’s thought. Through his writings and speeches, it is pointed out that for Syed Ahmed, the notion of Muslim community was confined to upper caste Muslims called the Ashrafs. Also, Syed Ahmed’s views were extremely regressive when it came to women’s education. Despite Aligarh being a modern university which is accessible to all castes and gender, Syed Ahmed’s legacy has not been critically analysed. The commentary is a small start in this direction

Abstract:
Abstract Syndecan-1 (CD138) is a heparin sulphate proteoglycan overexpressed on the surface of both normal and malignant plasma cells. Its role in multiple myeloma (MM) pathogenesis remains unclear. It may be shed from plasma cell surface and released in its soluble form (soluble syndecan-1: s-synd-1). Serum s-synd-1 levels have been shown to be a powerful prognostic factor of survival in myeloma patients. The role of s-synd-1 in the current prognostic classification systems requires further investigation. We have retrospectively determined soluble syndecan-1 in frozen sera of 99 MM patients, 18 MGUS patients, and 25 healthy individuals (HI). In all patients sera samples were collected at diagnosis. Serum s-synd-1 levels were determined by ELISA (Diaclone Research, Besanson, France) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. MM patients median age was 69 y (44–82), 51 were female, 48 male, 26 were Durie-Salmon (DS) stage I, 41 stage II, and 32 stage III while, according to the International Scoring System for MM (ISS), 32 were in stage 1, 25 in stage 2 and 42 in stage 3. Median serum s-synd-1 was 15 ng/ml (7–40) in HI, 16.5 ng/ml (8–220) in MGUS and 64 ng/ml (7–3500) in MM. Differences between HI and MM patients levels and between MGUS and MM patients levels were both significant (0.01 and 0.05 respectively). Overall survival was decreased in patients with elevated (mean + 2SD) serum s-synd-1 (5-year overall survival 35±9 vs 80±13, p=0.004). S-synd-1 levels were an independent prognostic factor of survival compared to DS and ISS staging systems. In multivariate analysis, only ISS and s-synd-1 were significant parameters of prognosis (the prognostic significance of DS, ISS and s-synd-1 was 0.06, 0.006 and 0.02 respectively). Further analysis of survival of patients stratified according to the ISS system showed a difference in survival within groups according to s-synd-1 levels. The 5-year overall survival was 100 vs 58±16 in ISS stage 1 patients with low or elevated s-synd-1 respectively, 100 vs 18±16 in stage 2 and 50±25 vs 14±13 in stage 3. The difference was statistically significant for stage 2 only (p=0.04) and there was only a trend due to the low number of patients in stages 1 and 3. In conclusion serum s-synd-1 levels at diagnosis constitute an independent prognostic factor of survival, able to further differentiate MM patients within the ISS stages.

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November 2018-Maret 2019 bertempat di TK Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Guru dan Murid-murid di TK Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru, terdiri dari dua kelas yang akan diteliti oleh peneliti yaitu B2 sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 10 murid dan B1 sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 10 murid, jumlah keseluruhan 20 murid, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah pengaruh metode karyawisata terhadap aspek perkembangan nilai moral anak kelompok B di TK Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah observasi, dan dokumentasi. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah maka data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan persentase dan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode karyawisata terhadap aspek perkembangan nilai moral anak kelompok B di TK Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru, dengan pendekatan Kuantitatif digunakan Desain Matching Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Setelah dilakukan teknik analisis data, ternyata penggunaan metode karyawisata mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap aspek perkembangan nilai moral anak di TK Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru, hal ini dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya nilai hasil belajar yang dicapai oleh anak, yang terlihat pada hasil penelitian di kelas eksperimen yang telah diberi metode karyawisata dari nilai rata-rata 35,5 pada skor pretest meningkat menjadi 90 pada skor posttest.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Karyawisata terhadap Aspek Perkembangan Nilai Moral Anak Kelompok B di Taman Kanak-Kanak Nurul Aulia Syam Kota Pekanbaru. <p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p>This research empasizes on digging the consept of Syat{ah{a&lt;t of Sufis where several tasawuf companion showed their psychological condition up on paradoct position, switces themselves on God position. Then, trought researching on Syat{ah{a&lt;t of Sufis in psychological approach, researcher found several conclusions; i.e. (a) etimologically, Syat}ah}a&gt;t means shaking (al-h}arakah); (b) terminologigally, Syat{ah{a&lt;t of Sufis means any speeches that stranged to be heard by its audience when Sufis reached wajd or wuju&gt;d level. The factors that force the Sufis said Syat{ah{a&lt;t were: (1) the strong emotional feelings and rumbled spiritual extasy (wajd), (2) experiences self unification (ittih}a&gt;d), (3) Sufis are in extacy condition (sakr), (4) Sufis hear the signal of divinity within them who invites self-union, so they positioned himself as God, and (5) they loss of self-consciousness; Additionally, the researchers added the other factors, i.e. (1) the Sufis movement comes from tawa&gt;jud (salat, dhikr, meditation, contemplation, thought) on to the wajd or ecstasy level, (2) when Sufis heart is suddenly controlled by Allah Almighty (wa&gt;rid al-il&gt;ahiyyah), so he was no longer able to control their consciousness, and (3) absence of prejudice that the Sufis are united with God, because when that feeling comes, then they really had split (infisa&gt;l). Background:Chondrocalcinosis is a painful rheumatic condition caused by the deposition of calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystals (CPPD) in joint tissues, and especially in cartilage. It is known that CPPD crystals cause inflammation and degenerative changes in joint, but the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. In particular, nothing is known about how these crystals regulates transmembrane heparan sulphate proteoglycans (HSPGs). Our attention focused on one family of HSPGs called syndecans as they have important roles both as adhesion molecules, by mediating chondrocyte-extracellular matrix interactions, and as modulators of intracellular signaling triggered by cytokines and growth factors.Objectives:The aim of this study was to evaluate how CPPD crystals modulates syndecan expression in chondrocytes and in cartilage, and how this modulation can be ultimately linked to cartilage damage during chondrocylcinosis.Methods:Murine chondrocitic ATDC5 cells were stimulated with 0,1 ng/ml CPPD crystals or with 0,1 ng/ml basic-calcium phosphate crystals (BCP), a family of calcium-containing crystals found in other rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis (OA). Cytotoxicity was evaluated by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release in the supernatant at 30 minutes, and 3, 6, 24 hours after stimulation. At the same time-points, mRNA expression levels of syndecans (Synd-1, -2, -3, -4) and of matrix-degrading enzymes (Mmp-3, -9, -13; Adamts-4, -5) was analysed by qRT-PCR. Finally, Syndecan-4 protein expression was studied by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in cartilage samples of patients with chondrocalcinosis and in samples of patients with severe OA without chondrocalcinosis as control.Results:LDH assay revealed no increased cytotoxicity by CPPD or BCP at any time-point. qRT-PCR indicated that CPPD crystals but not BCP crystals induced Synd-2 and -3 upregulation at 30 minutes after stimulation and Synd-4 upregulation at 3 hours, while no modulation of syndecans was seen at later time-points. CPPD also induced Adamts-4 expression at 3 hours after stimulation, and Mmp-9 expression at 3 and 6 hours. The expression of the other matrix-degrading enzymes was not affected. Human chondrocalcinosis cartilage exhibited enhanced Synd-4 expression compared to severe OA cartilage containing BCP calcification. Interestingly, Synd-4 expression was observed in the extracellular matrix but not on cell membrane, suggesting that maybe Synd-4 undergoes shedding (Figure 1).Figure 1.Representative Synd-4 IHC in control patients (Ctrl, severe OA) and chondrocalcinosis patients (CPPD). CPPD crystals induce Synd-4 and Adamts-4 and Mmp-9 which are not induced by BCP crystals. It remains to be clarified whether the two events are interlinked. Abstract Impaired erythropoiesis with inappropriate erythropoietin (EPO) production is seen in about 40% of symptomatic multiple myeloma (MM) patients at diagnosis and worsens during terminal refractory disease. Up-regulation of proinflammatory and proapoptotic factors, namely TNF-alpha, INF-gamma, TGF-beta1, FAS-Ligand and TRAIL are involved in the pathogenesis of defective erythroid maturation. The involvement of these factors in the progression of MM has been studied and no correlation was found for TNF-alpha, INF-gamma and TGF-beta1, while it was shown that the up-regulation of FAS-L/TRAIL in MM cells contributes to MM aggressiveness. Increased soluble syndecan-1 (s-synd-1) serum levels have been shown to constitute an adverse prognostic factor for survival in MM. Furthermore at least 3 studies, including ours, also found a negative correlation of s-synd-1 levels with hemoglobin. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlations between s-synd-1, hemoglobin (Hb), endogenous EPO levels and other parameters of disease in anaemic MM patients before any treatment including rHu-EPO administration. 41 MM patients (19 males and 22 females) with variable degree of anaemia (Hb <13.5 g/dl for men and <12.5 g/dlfor women) were studied. Median Hb was 10.5 g/dl (range 6.9–13.5); 32% had Hb below 10 g/dl. Median age was 68y. 7 patients had Durie and Salmon stage I, 21 stage II and 13 stage III. Serum EPO levels were determined by RIA and s-synd by ELISA (Diaclone Research, Besancon, France) in frozen sera of MM patients and 24 healthy individuals. Normal serum EPO levels range from 4.9 to 52 mU/ml in our laboratory. Median s-synd-1 was 36 ng/ml (9–75) in healthy individuals.The median value of EPO levels in MM patients was 40.1 mU/ml (7.2–313) and of s-synd-1 160 ng/ml (26–3500). Serum EPO levels correlated as expected with Hb (Spearman’s rho -0.223, p=0.14), creatinin (Spearman’s rho -0.32, p=0.04) but also with s-synd-1 (Spearman’s rho 0.33, p=0.03). Serum EPO did not correlate either with parameters reflecting disease mass such as beta2microglobulin (Spearman’s rho −0.19, p=0.90) and percentage of bone marrow infiltration (Spearman’s rho 0.118, p=0.48) or CRP (Spearman’s rho −0.189, p=0.29) that reflects proinflammatory cytokines’ activity. Our results in addition to the fact that s-synd-1 levels inversely correlate with Hb levels, suggest that s-synd-1 may be involved in the mechanisms leading to chronic anemia in multiple myeloma. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings.

It is not contrary with the valid hadith and sirah nabawiyah; 3). It is not contrary to reason, sense andhistory; and 4). It is similar with the prophetic word. If the formula of al-Adlabis matan criticism is seen in aspectsof syaz and illah, then it appears that his offering is only covers one aspect of the syaz of matan criticism. While thecriteria of illah have not been accommodated in the rule.

Internally symmetric proteins are proteins that have a symmetrical structure in their monomeric single-chain form. Around 10–15% of the protein domains can be regarded as having some sort of internal symmetry. In this regard, we previously published SymD (symmetry detection), an algorithm that determines whether a given protein structure has internal symmetry by attempting to align the protein to its own copy after the copy is circularly permuted by all possible numbers of residues. SymD has proven to be a useful algorithm to detect symmetry. In this paper, we present a new parallelized algorithm called Parallel-SymD for detecting symmetry of proteins on clusters of computers. The achieved speedup of the new Parallel-SymD algorithm scales well with the number of computing processors. Scaling is better for proteins with a larger number of residues. For a protein of 509 residues, a speedup of 63 was achieved on a parallel system with 100 processors.

This research carried out a document study that focuses on analyzing the literature or documents using qualitative approach and content analysis technique.</p><p>The findings show that there are significant differences between the mental revolution of Jokowi and character education concept of Syed Muhmmad Naquib Al-Attas referring to 4 pillars of UNESCO namely learn to know, learn to do, learn to live together, and learn to be which are called orderly as cognitive, psychomotor, affective and teleology in this research.</p><p>Of those 4 aspects, the aspects of teleology and cognitive have major differences. In the cognitive aspect, the mental revolution of Jokowi doesn’t give a large focuses on it. Meanwhile, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas gives the mainly focuses for this aspect. In the aspect of teleology, the mental revolution by Jokowi aims to create good citizens, while it is to create just people (insan kamil) for Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas.</p><p>From those two aspects, it is concluded that the mental revolution concept of Jokowi when viewed by the perspective of character education of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas has been in ta’dib concept in order to be a khalifah. And there are still differences in the aspect of cognitive, that the mental revolution of Jokowi only gives a little focuses on the cognitive aspect.</p>

The objective of this study was to evaluate four maize testers for identification of superior inbreed lines in testcross. The four testers evaluated are cultivars with narrow or wide genetic base (single-cross hybrids and open pollinated varieties) and two kernel types (flint or dent). SynD and SynF testers are open pollinated varieties with dent and flint kernels, respectively, and FSH and DSH testers are single-cross hybrids with flint and dent kernels, respectively. SynD tester showed the biggest genetic variance among the maize inbreed lines in crosses. The effects of general combining ability (GCA) for lines and specific combining ability (SCA) for lines x testers were significant, whereas GCA effects for testers were not significant. SynD and SynF testers identified the largest number of lines with higher GCA. The DSH and FSH testers showed suitable to identify lines with high SCA. It was concluded that SynD and SynF testers are adequate to identify inbreed lines with high GCA effects, and it's possible to identify new lines with high heterotic potential in each one of the four testers.

In this article, we conducted a critical discourse analysis of three Canadian corporations that used sport-for-youth-development (SYD) to fulfill part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR). Although the use of SYD has become an increasingly larger component of corporations’ CSR, there is a dearth of scholarship examining advertising texts produced by corporations, particularly by corporations other than Nike. This article directly addresses this lack, contributing to the growing body of critical examinations of corporate presentations of SYD in the Canadian context. We examined four televised commercials to describe the discursive strategies used by the corporations to authorize a particular notion of SYD. Specifically, we examined how the semiotic choices in the commercials signified key discourses related to SYD and how these elements were used to attempt to educate viewers on specific truths about childhood and youth sport. We were also interested in the underlying assumptions of these constructions and the power relationships underpinning them. Analysis of the three corporations’ texts revealed stark contradictions, difficulties, and tensions in their uses of SYD in televised commercials. We found that although the commercials presented some positive constructions of SYD, we argue that they predominantly produce and rely on several dominant discourses about youth sport, including: sport is a place of universal inclusivity, and sport has inherently “magical” qualities capable of providing all young people with contexts for positive youth development. We further argue that these CSR campaigns mirror the values of Canadian nationalism and construct SYD in a limited individualistic, consumerist manner that closely aligns with the ideologies of neoliberalism. These findings are important for researchers, educators, and SYD program developers, and we encourage other researchers to examine SYD in corporations’ CSR campaigns.

Objectives.The study was to investigate the effects and mechanisms of Shen-Yuan-Dan (SYD) pharmacological postconditioning on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury.Methods.In thein vivoexperiment, myocardial injury markers and histopathology staining were examined. In thein vitroexperiment, cell viability and cell apoptosis were, respectively, detected by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays and Hoechst 33342 fluorochrome staining. The protein expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax were determined by immunocytochemistry assay.Results.Both low and high doses of SYD protected myocardium against I/R injury in rat model by reducing lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, increasing superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and attenuating histopathology injury. Meanwhile, in thein vitroexperiment, SYD promoted cell viability and inhibited the cardiomyocyte apoptosis. The level of Bcl-2 protein was restored to the normal level by SYD pharmacological postconditioning. In contrast, the Bax protein level was markedly reduced by SYD pharmacological postconditioning. These effects of SYD were inhibited by LY294002.Conclusions.The results of this study suggested that SYD pharmacological postconditioning has protective effects against myocardial I/R injury in bothin vivoandin vitromodels, which are related to activating the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt (PI3K/Akt) pathway.

Neurons transmit long-range biochemical signals between cell bodies and distant axonal sites or termini. To test the hypothesis that signaling molecules are hitchhikers on axonal vesicles, we focused on the c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase (JNK) scaffolding protein Sunday Driver (syd), which has been proposed to link the molecular motor protein kinesin-1 to axonal vesicles. We found that syd and JNK3 are present on vesicular structures in axons, are transported in both the anterograde and retrograde axonal transport pathways, and interact with kinesin-I and the dynactin complex. Nerve injury induces local activation of JNK, primarily within axons, and activated JNK and syd are then transported primarily retrogradely. In axons, syd and activated JNK colocalize with p150Glued, a subunit of the dynactin complex, and with dynein. Finally, we found that injury induces an enhanced interaction between syd and dynactin. Thus, a mobile axonal JNK–syd complex may generate a transport-dependent axonal damage surveillance system.

Artikel ini mengkaji peranan yang dimainkan oleh mufti kerajaan Johor dalam mendepani imperialisme British dari tahun 1885 hingga 1941. Tumpuan diberi kepada peranan mufti dalam urusan berkaitan ekonomi dan sosial kerajaan Johor bagi memastikan kedudukan agama Islam terus dipertahankan di negeri tersebut. Berdasarkan sumber-sumber yang diperoleh daripada Arkib Negara Malaysia Cawangan Johor dan sumber sekunder, makalah ini membincangkan pentadbiran empat orang mufti, terdiri daripada Dato’ Syed Salim Abdullah al-Attas, Dato’ Abdullah Musa, Syed ‘Abd Qadir Muhsin al-Attas dan Syed Alwi Tahir al-Haddad. Menerusi peranan yang dimainkan oleh keempat-empat mufti berkenaan, kajian ini menilai aspek ekonomi dan social dalam kerajaan Johor yang mencakupi perkara-perkara yang berkaitan dengan hukum hakam muamalat dan aspek pendidikan. Kajian ini mendapati bahawa mufti kerajaan Johor dalam era tersebut memainkan peranan dalam aspek ekonomi dan sosial menerusi hujahan yang informatif dan autoritatif.

Abstract:
Dr. Yunus Jaffery, distinguished Persian scholar and teacher and a living legend of old Delhi, died on Monday, August 29 at the age of 86 after a short stay at Apollo Hospital, Delhi, surrounded by his nephew Faridun, his niece Simin and other family members. An authority on Delhi and Indo–Persian literature and author of influential text editions of Persian historians and poets who wrote during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (1628–58), Dr. Jaffery taught Persian at the Anglo-Arabic School of Zakir Husain College (previously Delhi College) until his retirement in 1995. His room, his hujra in the historical building of the madrasa of Ghaziuddin in which the Anglo-Arabic School is situated outside Ajmeri Gate became a place of pilgrimage for an international community of scholars, writers, students, and journalists who sought to study classical Persian, acquire knowledge on the history and culture of old Delhi and the Mughals, sought a rare publication in his library, or who just wanted to meet the famous Dr. Jaffery, who had been the guide of William Dalrymple to his “City of Djinns.”
