Background. The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the quality of pain relief in the early postoperative period within the framework of the concept of early recovery after surgical treatment (ERAS). The study and optimization of a multimodal approach to pain management, including transversus abdominis plane blockade (TAP block), is essential to improve surgical outcomes and expedite patient recovery.Aim. Excessive supragastric belching is rarely described in the anesthesia literature. Anesthesia planning of a 26-year-old patient with excessive supragastric belching, history of superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMAS), and dental anxiety requires preoperative assessment. Key anesthetic considerations include anxiolysis, aspiration risk reduction, total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), and postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) prophylaxis.

Patients rated symptoms of nausea and vomiting as highly undesirable and are willing to pay out of pocket a substantial amount for an effective antiemetic. It is imperative to know which drugs may predispose patients to arrhythmias such as prolonged QT intervals as well as how to prevent or treat PONV in the patient with prolonged QT interval. Abstract:
Purpose/Background: Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is a frequent complaint in the postoperative period, which can delay discharge, result in readmission, and increase cost for patients and facilities. Inducing paralysis is common in anesthesia, as is utilizing the drugs neostigmine and sugammadex as reversal agents for non-depolarizing neuromuscular blockers. Many studies are available that compare these two drugs to determine if neostigmine increases the risk of PONV over sugammadex. Sugammadex has a more favorable pharmacologic profile and may improve patient outcomes by reducing P

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study is to compare the incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in opioid-utilizing and opioid-free general anesthesia. Background PONV is an extremely common, potentially dangerous side effect of general anesthesia. PONV is caused by a collection of anesthetic and surgical interventions. Current practice to prevent PONV is to use 1-2 antiemetics during surgery, identify high risk patients and utilize tracheal intubation over laryngeal airways when indicated. Current research suggests minimizing the use of volatile anesthetics and opioids can reduce t

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: The current meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis analyzed the efficacy of WAA as a new therapy for reducing PONV. Condition being studied: Recently, wrist–ankle acupuncture (WAA) provides a new approach and shows advantages in mitigating the occurrence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV). Eligibility criteria: Different types of traditional Chinese treatment combined with WAA for PONV; duplicate literature or crossover of study participants; failure to provide original data; similar reports or incomplete information; literature type discrepancy and p

Review question / Objective: We conduct to perform a network meta-analysis to determine the better analgesic efficacy and safety of ESPB in patients undergoing what kind of surgery. Following the PICOS framework, we identified randomized controlled trials (RCT) the patients applied ESPB with different types of surgery compared with either non-block care or blocks. We hypothesized that the ESPB would be superior to non-block care but not inferior to other blocks in thoracic and breast surgeries compared with other types of surgery.
