Abstract:
Suomessa hedelmöityshoidot aloitettiin 1980-luvulla, ja parissakymmenessä vuodessa niistä on tullut rutiininomaista hedelmättömyyden hoitoa. Tässä artikkelissa esitellään 1990-luvun kehitystä valtakunnallisten tilastojen perusteella. Tiedot perustuvat vuodesta 1992 lähtien jatkuneeseen vapaaehtoiseen tiedonkeruuseen, johon kaikki hoitoja antavat klinikat ovat osallistuneet. Vuonna 2000 annettiin hedelmöityshoitoja (IVF- ja ICSI-hoidot sekä pakastetun alkion siirrot) yhteensä 19 klinikassa, joista 12 oli yksityistä. Tavoitteenamme oli kyselytutkimuksen avulla selvittää terveydenhoitajien ja kätilöiden käsityksiä koulutuksen ja työelämän vastaavuudesta. Kysely lähetettiin 400 kätilölle ja 400 terveydenhoitajalle, joista 79 % vastasi. Kyselylomakkeessa oli kysymyksiä koulutuksesta, nykyisestä työpaikasta ja ammattitaidon hyödyntämisestä. Työelämän ulkopuolella tai muualla kuin terveydenhuoltoalan töissä oli yhteensä 24 % vastaajista. Synnytys on 2020-luvun Suomessa politisoitunut synnyttäjien toimesta samanaikaisesti terveydenhuollon taloudellisen tehostamisen kanssa. Artikkelissa analysoidaan ajatusta neljännestä ulottuvuudesta elokuvassa Sergei Eisensteinin ja Jean Epsteinin kirjoituksissa. Tärkeimmät tarkasteltavat tekstit ovat Eisensteinin ”Neljäs ulottuvuus elokuvassa” (1929) sekä Epsteinin ”Eräistä fotogeenisyyden ehdoista” (1924) ja Intelligence d’un machine (”Koneen äly”, 1946). Neljännen ulottuvuuden ajatus Epsteinilla ja Eisensteinilla juontuu ensisijaisesti Albert Einsteinin suhteellisuusteoriasta, mutta sitä tarkastellaan myös suhteessa muihin, 1900-luvun alussa suosittuihin käsityksiin neljännestä ulottuvuudesta.
