Abstract:
A compilation of harmonized terminology and standardized nomenclature for natural gas transmission and storage (T and S) equipment and operations associated with greenhouse gas (GHG) emission sources and emission estimates. Criteria for natural gas industry (per segments in 40 CFR 98) for GHG inventories are also addressed. This living document is intended to be a detailed reference for practitioners and managers developing GHG inventories. The document's primary purpose is to support T and S facilities GHG emissions reporting for 40 CFR 98 Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting; however, informa

Abstract:
The world is facing a rapid increase of air conditioning of buildings. It is the motivation of Annex 80 to develop, assess and communicate solutions of resilient cooling and overheating protection. Resilient Cooling is used to denote low energy and low carbon cooling solutions that strengthen the ability of individuals and our community to withstand, and prevent, thermal and other impacts of changes in global and local climates. Within Annex 80, there is a manifold need to use key performance indicators (KPI, i.e. performance metrics). This study employs a structured approach to evaluate Key P

Abstract:
Within the project "Pathogenic Streptococcus in Tilapia", gram positive cocci pathogens of fish in Israel and in the United States were characterized. We showed that Streptococcus shiloi, the name for an agent causing septicemic infection in fish, is a junior synonym of Streptococcus iniae and that Enterococcus seriolicida is a junior synonym of Lactococcus garvieae, a causative agent of septicemia and meningo-encephalitis in fish. Molecular epidemiology studies on these two pathogens, based on 16S rDNA sequences and ribotyping showed that although each country had specific clones, S. iniae or

Abstract:
Consideration of aspects of the functioning of mass media in society requires a comprehensive approach based on universal media theory. The article presents an attempt to consider public events in terms of a functional approach to understanding the media, proposed by media theorist Dennis McQuayl in the theory of mass communication. Public events are analyzed, on the one hand, as a complex object of journalistic reflection and, on the other hand, as a situational media that examines the relationship of agents of the social and media fields in the space of communication interaction. Abstract:
This study maps trends of humanitarian funding in the context of total aid at the coun-try level between 1969 and 2019 and estimates how these trends will change in the future. Historical trends show that the com-position of aid has changed significantly in the last two dec-ades: the humanitarian share of total aid to countries has increased from approxi-mately 5 per cent in the 1990s to 23 per cent in 2019. Humanitarian aid was originally intended to respond to short-term emergencies, how-ever, most of today’s humani-tarian financing goes to pro-tracted situations. Today many countries receiv

Abstract:
In an effort to progress the development of hydrocarbon fields found in water depths beyond 1000 feet, the oil and gas industry is considering cost effective methods of subsea pipeline installation. As an established and reliable oil and gas transportation system, the pipeline will be an important factor in deepwater development. Surface installation methods are expected to become costly in deepwater due to the necessary equipment modifications and vessel requirements which are synonymous with increased tension capability and deepwater station keeping ability. This estimated increase in instal
