Full textThis thesis presents the syntheses of new hybrid coordination networks based on imidazolium ligands. Three kinds of ligands possessing their own features were synthesized and used with the main objective to obtain multiferroic hybrid networks meaning networks which display a magnetic order and a ferroelectric order. The modification of the ligand allowed to obtain compounds filling criteria (on the symmetry) for a ferroelectric order. The magnetic inorganic network was built due to the synthesis of compounds based on first row metals or lanthanides. All compounds were characterized by several techniques (X-rays diffraction, spectroscopic measurements, thermal and elemental analyses). Magnetic, luminescence and ferroelectric properties were also studied

Full textThis work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of reversibly crosslinked polyisoprene and polybutadiene and their potential recyclability. To this end, long chains of 1,4-cis polydienes have been degraded in a controlled manner in order to obtain telechelic polymers with low viscosity. In a second step, these low molar mass polydienes were chemically modified either along the backbone or at the chain-end of the polymer in order to obtain reactive functions. The thus obtained hydroxyl functions have been used as an anchor point for the grafting of furan functions. The addition of a bis-maleimide compound to the liquid polymer led to the formation of thermo-reversibly crosslinked elastomer thanks to the Diels-Alder reaction between the furan and the maleimide groups. The obtained materials have the behavior of a crosslinked elastomer, stable in a wide temperature range (-80 °C to + 130 °C). The mechanical properties of these elastomers (Young's modulus, strain / elongation at break, rubber modulus) can be easily modulated by modifying several parameters such as chain length, crosslinking density or crosslinking site along the chains. The recyclability of the materials was shown as no properties loss was observed even after 5 cycles of recycling. Finally, by changing the furan groups by ureidopyrimidinone groups (UPy), the reversibly crosslinked material obtained through hydrogen bonds possessed a totally different behavior with a particular supramolecular organization, induced by the assembly of the UPy groups

Full textIn collaboration with Thales Alenia Space and the French Space Agency (CNES), this PHD takes part in a very active international context on a new antenna: the reflectarrays (RA).Combining the advantages of conventional reflectors and those of networks, RA could eventually replace the currently used shaped reflectors. They consist of a primary source placed in front of a network of cells controlling the properties of the reflected electromagnetic field. Although many studies already focus on the characterization of cells, one of the issues is to carefully select them to achieve the final antenna: this is the synthesis step.An overview of different synthesis methods revealed the complexity to quickly obtain good performance simultaneously on the co- and cross-polarizations, for a wide frequency band and for the realization of shaped radiation pattern. The Phoenix cell is selected in this work for its good properties since it provides the entire phase range following a continuous cycle of geometries.Because one of the constraints in the design of RA is to maintain continuous geometry variations between two juxtaposed cells on the layout, a spherical representation tool made it possible to classify all the studied cells. It judiciously lists all the cells on a continuous, closed and periodic surface.A new step is reached with the design of behavioral models using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). These models enable to a fast electromagnetic characterization of cells in terms of phase and amplitude of the direct and cross coefficients of the reflection matrix. The originality of the synthesis algorithm proposed in this work is the combined use of the spherical representation and a rapid cell characterization by ANN. A min / max optimization tool is used to improve the overall performance of the RA panel. It is then applied to a concrete case as part of a telecommunication mission

Full textIn this work, we present different control synthesis approaches based on Petri nets and the theory of regions. This theory has some limitations in supervisory control. Indeed, the design on the PN controller, if it exists, is not an easy task due to the resolution complexity and the combinatorial explosion of states in the generated reachability graph. In addition, the linear system of the theory of regions may contain convex combinations of its equations making the theory insoluble. This work aims to simplify the computational complexity of the theory of regions by reducing the number of equations of the linear system and decreasing the computation time of PN controllers. Consequently, new concepts of minimal cuts and canonic markings are introduced in order to apply the theory of regions on specific zones of the graph and not on the whole reachability graph. Finally, two new approaches are developed to synthesize PN controllers without generating the reachability graph

This materials possess two chemical species which are the oxazolidone bifunctional resulting from the addition reaction between an epoxy and an isocyanate. The second species is the isocyanurate, tridimensional, derived from the trimerization of the isocyanate groups. The preliminary study by DSC and FTIR leads· to identification of the temperature range of the two heterocycles formation reaction , By HPLC and NMR, the study of model mono functional molecules shows that there is a competition between the two reactions described above and the homopolymerization of the epoxy groups present in the reaction mixture. The viscoelastic properties of the networks are determined using the polymers obtain from a diepoxy and a diisocyanate. These mechanical properties are interesting but decrease rapidly high temperatures in the presence of oxygen. The network structures before and after oxidation are studied by 13C NMR wîth Magic Angle spinning

Full textThe computer tools (as the routers and calculators among others) present a high energy consumption. This problem has been already included in mobile networks. The question of energy is just beginning to be considered for "fixed" large-scale systems that reach nowadays high sizes. The objective of this thesis is to address the problem of energy consumption in wired communication networks: provide a certain level of quality of service (QoS) with respect to the packet lost, response speed and robustness with respect to different sampling periods while controlling power consumption of the system. The goal is to design a method from the theory of control, which guarantees these QoS. This technique is applied locally to a network equipment (router, switch ...) and the control law used to distribute temporally the traffic through a controlled node in the wired communications networks. In this work, we considere that the communication between nodes are performed by routers ALR type. In order to deal with energy reduction problem, we propose an extended ALR energy model adapted to control theory. For this model, we need to choose two parameters (ß, ?) allowing to choose the queue length reference, qref, and the related update time-window, Tqref. These parameters have been chosen after performing some simulations with different combinations of parameters (ß, ?). We have seen that the variation of these two parameters provide an impact over the QoS as well as the energy reduction. The theoretical results are then tested in Matlab-Simulink as well as some experiments under the simulator NS-2. Simulations showed that the energy consumption in communications networks is reduced while ensuring a certain level of QoS

Full textNew based polyisobutène (PIB) materials have been synthesized. First PIB single networks from different polyisobutène telechelic and different way of synthesis have been carried out and characterized. These single networks are then associated with another plastomer network into interpenetrated polymer networks (IPNs), two entangled networks without covalent bounds between them. These IPNs are synthesis in situ and the best interpenetration degree is obtained when the PIB network is first formed. Thus, PIB/PS IPNs are synthesized in order to improve PIB network mechanical properties and there morphologie depends on the weight proportion of each component. When PIB amount is bigger than PS amount, spherical PS domains are dispersed into PIB matrix and the material has good damping properties. But when PIB amount is lower than PS amount, both phases are co-continuous and material is rigid. These IPNs have improved ageing resistance under UV than PIB or PS single network. Thus IPNs structure protect polymer against outside attack. PMMA Matrix with PIB domains dispersed should allow building a transparent impact resistant material. But this morphologie has not been obtained. However, with polycyclohexyl methacrylate (PCHMA), all the IPNs PIB/PCHMA are transparent, flexible and a little bite elastic. Their high interpenetration degree between the two polymers is characterized by a new glass transition appearance between 30 and 110ʿC, temperature at which IPNs are shock absorber

Full textThis work presents the conception, the synthesis and the structural study of molecular networks, following the concepts of molecular tectonics. The research area, based on the supramolecular chemistry, deals with the construction of infinite architectures, upon self-assembly of active bricks (tectons), through non-covalent bonds. In order to prepare such networks, two strategies have been used. In a first part, with a view to realise one-dimensional networks, stabilised by van der Waals interactions, the conception and preparation of new tectons, composed of two divergent cavities (derivatives of calix[4]arene) linked with an organic or metallic bridge, are presented. Then, with the aim of associate these tectons with an organic connector, some trials and results are presented. In a second part, we present the synthesis of two families of tectons, for the purpose of associate these organic ligands by coordination bonds. First, we present the preparation of triphenylmethane derivatives, and their use to prepare a 3-D network, by the coordination with Ag+ cation. Secondly, we describe the synthesis of new bis-monodentate tectons based on nicotinoyl or isonicotinoyl units. At the end, we present forth the results of the linking of this tectons with transition metals, who leads to the formation of a finite complex molecule (mettalamacrocycle) and one- or two-dimensional coordination networks

Full textNetworked Control Systems (NCS) are systems in which the controllers and the whole set of sensors and actuators communicate via a serial communication network. The presence of the network in the control loop imply that one takes into account some constraints (sampling, delay, network scheduling protocol, data losses and quantization) inherent to NCSs in the analysis of the stability and performance of the control loop. In this thesis, we treat the synthesis of observers for nonlinear systems under this network communication constraints. We particularly focus on three constraints: sampling, delay and network scheduling protocol. We propose a global exponential observer combined with a state predictor for a class of nonlinear globally Lipschitz systems under constant transmission delay and periodic scheduling protocol. The synthesis of dynamical high gain observers for sampled-data nonlinear globally Lipschitz systems is also treated. We address the issue of the sensitivity to measurements error inherent to this kind of observers. Hybrid adaptive observer are designed for a class of state affine sampled-data systems with constant unknown parameters. An output predictor is used to estimate the output between the sampling times

Full textThe place-invariants method is one of the most popular controller synthesis approaches for Petri net (PN) modeled DES. Unfortunately, the observance of the constraints is not certain in the presence of uncontrollable transitions. This thesis offers a solution to this problem for ordinary and generalized PNs. We begin by studying safe non-conservative PNs, and devising a constraint-determination technique that will always provide a set of admissible constraints for this type of model. The approach stems from the general definition of forbidden states --- that of marking vectors. In the second part of our work, we present an admissible constraint-determination technique for generalized PNs. The method is based on a special view of the system's state space. The constraints are derived from the equation of the affine hyper-plane separating the authorized- and forbidden- regions of this space. We propose an algorithm that allows the identification of the minimal maximally permissive controller

Full textThe formation of metallo-organic molecular networks, called coordination polymers, was investigated using the molecular tectonic approach. The strategy, using self-assembly proccesses, is based on reversible interactions between molecular building blocks (tecton) and transition metal salts. Exoditopics tectons bearing terpyridine unit as tridentate coordination site, and pyridine ou benzonitrile units as monodentate coordination units were used. Based on the choice of the couple (metal-ligand), several discrete mono- and di-nuclear complexes as well as a cyclic complex of the metallamacrocycle type were obtained and characterised in solution as well as in the solid state. Furthermore, linear coordination networks were obtained through the combination of a symmetrical or a non-symmetrical bismonodentate tecton with the copper (II) hexafluoroacetylacetonate. Furthermore, a 1-D network was obtained upon the treatment of a tecton, based on the interconnection of a tridentate and a monodentate units, with CoCl2. Owning to the unsymmetrical nature of the tecton, the 1-D network was indeed directional. However, the centrosymmetric packing of the 1-D oriented networks afforded a non-polar solid

Full textNew linear and non functional polyisobutene (PIB) based materials have been synthesized to enlarge the potential application of medium molecular weight polyisobutènes (10 000 < Mn < 100 000 g.mol-1), currently underemployed.A semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) architecture have been employed to immobilize the linear PIB chains physically inside different polymethacrylate networks. The networks precursors (monomer, cross-linker and initiator) are miscible with PIB and syntheses without solvent have been carried out, and thermal curing has been optimized. Macroscopically homogeneous semi-IPNs showing no creep, for PIB weight proportions from 20 to 70%, have been obtained. Thermomechanical analyses of semi-IPNs shown co-continuous phase morphology. By changing the nature and composition of the partner co-network, the mechanical properties (storage modulus and damping factor) of the semi-IPNs are tunable between -10 and 200°C, while some properties of the PIB (very low permeation to gases) are kept. Finally, the semi-IPN architecture and the chosen synthesis pathway, among other things, lead to the observation of a high temperature relaxation above the Tg of both associated polymers, in almost all of the studied semi-IPNs. An interpretation of the origin of this phenomenon has been proposed
