Abstract:
A Melancholic Croquis is based on the motifs of Thomas Mann’s Death in Venice and its eponymous film adaptation by Luchino Visconti. The director Matej Filipčič conceived the project as a unique synthesis of a theatre performance, a scientific experiment and a social event. The article focuses on this triple connection, the specifics of the project’s content, form and production. It first explains the thematic deviation from the original: the performance does not foreground the artist and his being torn between the Apollonian and the Dionysian, but centres on melancholy, which Filipčič recognises as melancholic and defines experientially as an equation of both principles. The original motifs are present but are of secondary significance since the question no longer concerns a philosophical deliberation on the ways of achieving beauty but rather the staging of an ambience, experience itself and the possibility of recording the spectator’s emotional responses. Why? Because a melancholic is a person par excellence clinging to time and enclosed by time, able to ‘fight’ against the fleeting and the fleetingness of time with only one weapon: a series of questions that force creative persons (artists, philosophers, scientists) towards creative acts, into which Filipčič constantly inserts memories, intertwining the personal and the collective, placing the particular in the universal that is valid here and now. The article also traces the fundamental building blocks of Filipčič’s staging process: the poetics of memory, the use of a croquis and a concern for communicativeness, which are read through A Melancholic Croquis.

Abstract:
Prostate cancer (CaP) is the most common adult male cancer in the developed world. The paucity of biomarkers to predict prostate tumor biology makes it important to identify key pathways that confer poor prognosis and guide potential targeted therapy. Using a murine forward mutagenesis screen in a Pten-null background, we identified peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (Pparg), encoding a ligand-activated transcription factor, as a promoter of metastatic CaP through activation of lipid signaling pathways, including up-regulation of lipid synthesis enzymes [fatty acid synthase (FASN), acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), ATP citrate lyase (ACLY)]. Importantly, inhibition of PPARG suppressed tumor growth in vivo, with down-regulation of the lipid synthesis program. We show that elevated levels of PPARG strongly correlate with elevation of FASN in human CaP and that high levels of PPARG/FASN and PI3K/pAKT pathway activation confer a poor prognosis. These data suggest that CaP patients could be stratified in terms of PPARG/FASN and PTEN levels to identify patients with aggressive CaP who may respond favorably to PPARG/FASN inhibition.

Abstract:
In this paper we examined the stereotype as a resilient model of types of created objects, a repeated and repeatable image of a manufacturing process, and a standardised model of virtuality; in other words, stereotyping gives form to things within a system of objects reproduced serially. The centuries-old synthesis of artisanship and material has been transformed in our times into design. To reconstruct an object means to retrace the techniques that produced it, including traditional ones. In terms of the relationship among technologies, there is a heated debate between those who want to defend the traces of the past as a memory important for the future, as well as an instrument for harmonising the masses, and those who favour the absolute novelty of the hybrid style that is now in vogue after the modernist phase. The latter support deregulating the manufacture of architectural objects and the incoherent, improvised organisation of the suburban environment. Throughout history there have been important differences of opinion on the value of humankind, quality of life, ways of thinking, and forms of culture and art

Abstract:
Within the deep philosophical reflection of the thirteenth century are commonly heard names such as Albertus Magnus, Thomas Aquinas and Bonaventure. However, little is said of those disciples of lesser brilliance who spread the thought of their teachers. Such is the case of Ulrich of Strasbourg. This Dominican friar, a fellow student of Thomas Aquinas in Cologne, studied under Albertus Magnus the De Divinis nominibus of Pseudo-Dionysius. Years later, Ulrich wrote a work called Summa de bono where, in dealing with beauty, a unique Neoplatonic synthesis operates, but from the original perspective of his master. This paper analyses the concept of beauty present in Ulrich of Strasbourg to show how there is as much clear dependence on Albertian Neoplatonism as there is originality in the presentation of the topic.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to some aspects of the fragrant substances of plant origin applied in the food industry and perfumery as well. Since antiquity many extractive techniques have been developed to obtain essential oils. Some of them are still applied, but new ones, like microwave or ultrasound-assisted extractions, are more and more popular and they save time and cost. Independently of the procedure, the resulting essential oils are the source of many so-called isolates. These can be applied as food additives, medicines, or can be used as starting materials for organic synthesis. Some substances exist in very small amounts in plant material so the extraction is not economically profitable but, after their chemical structures were established and synthetic procedures were developed, in some cases they are prepared on an industrial scale. The substances described below are only a small fraction of the 2000–3000 fragrant molecules used to make our life more enjoyable, either in food or perfumes. Additionally, a few examples of allelopathic fragrant compounds, present in their natural state, will be denoted and some of their biocidal features will be mentioned as an arising “green” knowledge in agriculture.

Abstract:
Abstract Over 30 years, the Gram-positive bacterium Priestia megaterium (previously known as Bacillus megaterium) was systematically developed for biotechnological applications ranging from the production of small molecules like vitamin B12, over polymers like polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) up to the in vivo and in vitro synthesis of multiple proteins and finally whole-cell applications. Here we describe the use of the natural vitamin B12 (cobalamin) producer P. megaterium for the elucidation of the biosynthetic pathway and the subsequent systematic knowledge-based development for production purposes. The formation of PHB, a natural product of P. megaterium and potential petro-plastic substitute, is covered and discussed. Further important biotechnological characteristics of P. megaterium for recombinant protein production including high protein secretion capacity and simple cultivation on value-added carbon sources are outlined. This includes the advanced system with almost 30 commercially available expression vectors for the intracellular and extracellular production of recombinant proteins at the g/L scale. We also revealed a novel P. megaterium transcription-translation system as a complementary and versatile biotechnological tool kit. As an impressive biotechnology application, the formation of various cytochrome P450 is also critically highlighted. Finally, whole cellular applications in plant protection are completing the overall picture of P. megaterium as a versatile giant cell factory. Key points • The use of Priestia megaterium for the biosynthesis of small molecules and recombinant proteins through to whole-cell applications is reviewed. • P. megaterium can act as a promising alternative host in biotechnological production processes.

ABSTRACT This paper addresses the case of five lack entrepreneurs who own businesses a public that for years has denied a esthetic and phenotypic traits. These spaces, branded as ‘ethnic salons’, aim to take care of the curly and / or Afrohair of Black men and women. In the face of this context, we ask: how canBlack entrepreneurs and enterprisesconfront colonialmentality in social relations, by creating businesses aimed at giving value to, and appreciatingthe identity of Black men and women? The field research was conducted via observations and interviews, collecting narratives from both. The narratives went through a process of synthesis and analysisprocesses that allowed us to flag the motivesbehind these enterprises, as well as the racial/ethnic acceptance present in these spaces. Thus, the main contribution of this paper is to discuss ‘hairtype’ as a constitutive element of Black racial identity, and the opportunity for more autonomywhen entering the labor market.

The idea of “bucky ferrocene” intrigues chemists owing to its aesthetic beauty and to its polarized, extended conjugated system, but the idea has remained hypothetical. The synthesis of close analogs of Fe(C60Me5)Cp and Fe(C70Me3)Cp was achieved in two steps from [60] and [70]fullerenes, relying on an oxidative C–H bond activation starting with an iron(I) complex and the corresponding cyclopentadienyl precursors, respectively. The molecules can be regarded as members of a new organometallic conjugated system connected to a graphitic system. Numerous synthetic transformations and self-organization procedures that are known for the parent ferrocenes and fullerenes are expected to be employable toward productive use of the ferrocene/fullerene hybrid molecules in chemistry and materials sciences.

Abstract:
Introduction: Nowadays, researchers are progressively concentrated to generate economical, affordable and also greener synthesis approach for the synthesis of various heterocycles. On look at the beauty of coumarin molecules and oxazoles, it seems to be lead  molecules in the anti-microbial area.  Aim: With the target to identify efficient molecules, we studied 2-oxo-2H-chromen-4-yl-2-((5-substituted aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) thio)acetate derivatives using two synthetic protocol/methods, i.e. conventional synthesis and microwave-based synthesis. Materials and methods: Two simultaneous methods, i.e. conventional and microwave synthesis have been used for the synthe-sis of 2-oxo-2H-chromen-4-yl-2-((5-substituted aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)thio)acetate (6a-l) derivatives. The desired molecules were synthesized by conventional and microwave synthesis and a comparative study was carried out to identify an easy route for industrial applications. The confirmations of the compounds were carried out by spectroscopic techniques such as IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectra and elemental analysis.  Results: All synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in-vitro antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus pyogenes), gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and antifungal activity (Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger).  Conclusions: All conventional synthesis of final coumarin derivatives were completed within 4-6 h. While that of microwave-based reaction took comparatively more reaction time. Surprisingly, the compounds 6f and 6g could not be synthesized by microwave radiation even after 32 minutes of irradiation. As to the medicinal application part, microbial evaluation of synthesized analogues showed that the compounds 6b, 6e, 6d, and 6j were found more potent in comparison to the reference drug.

Abstract:
Harmonious synthesis and distribution of melanin in the skin contribute to the expression of beauty and the maintenance of health. When skin pigmentary disorders occur because of internal or external factors or, when there is a need to artificially increase or reduce the pigmentation level of the skin for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes, various pharmacological therapies are applied but the results are not always satisfactory. Studies have been conducted to improve the efficacy and safety of these treatment strategies. In this review, we present the latest studies regarding peptides and related compounds that may be useful in artificially increasing or reducing skin melanin levels. Certain analogs of α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH) and oligopeptides with the sequences derived from the hormone were shown to promote melanin synthesis in cells and in vivo models. Various amino acids, peptides, their analogs, and their hybrid compounds with other chemical moieties were shown to inhibit tyrosinase (TYR) catalytic activity or downregulate TYR gene expression. Certain peptides were shown to inhibit melanosome biogenesis or induce autophagy, leading to decreased pigmentation. In vivo and clinical evidence are available for some compounds, including [Nle4-D-Phe7]-α-MSH, glutathione disulfide, and glycinamide hydrochloride. For many other compounds, additional studies are required to verify their efficacy and safety in vivo and in clinical trials. The accumulating information regarding pro- and antimelanogenic activity of peptides and related compounds will lead to the development of novel drugs for the treatment of skin pigmentary disorders.

This paper argues that Chris Marker's 1982 film Sans Soleil derives its affective force from doublings and ‘faces’ of horror and beauty that reveal a twofold synthesis of actual and virtual. While a focus upon the material, ever in relation to transient yet lingering sensations, cannot discharge the power and force of the film, this paper endeavours nevertheless to assess and evoke Marker and Deleuze's own interrogative methods that thoroughly explore, in the manner of a revelatory ‘schizoanalysis’ or empiricism, molecular and variable operations beneath our ‘molar’ structures and organisations. As Sans Soleil's voiceover states, ‘If they don't see happiness in the picture, at least they'll see the black’, a provocative remark that invokes indefinable singularities and the darkness of a wound, cracking of time and splitting of self in film, life and death. Considerations of death, consciousness and subjectivity extend this paper's examinations.

Background: Pericyclic reactions characterized by a cyclic transition state, have been established as a dominant approach for the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds owing to their tremendous efficacy, regioselectivity, and enantioselectivity. Pericyclic chemistry is a promising and creative route to various biologically significant five and six membered oxygen or nitrogen ring systems. Recognizing the reaction's potential, synthetic organic chemists have invested significant efforts in developing and applying a seemingly endless array of useful variations of pericyclic reactions. Objective: The driving force of this review is to focus the character of perfection and beauty inherent in these powerful reaction pathways that lead to unique and densely functionalized heterocylic assemblies. Conclusion: In this review, we have presented recent strategic applications of pericyclic reactions that provide quick access to molecular complexity with high efficiency. A summary of these illustrative examples will showcase the extensive role of pericyclic chemistry in the construction of synthetically intimidating structural motifs.

Abstract:
The natural beauty and purity of our planet has been contaminated deeply due to human selfish activities such as pollution, improper waste management, and various industrial and commercial discharges of untreated toxic by-products into the lap of nature. The collective impact of these hazardous suspensions into the natural habitat is very deadly. Challenges due to human activity on the environment have become ubiquitous. The chemical industry has a major role in human evolution and, predictably, opened gates of increased risk of pollution if the production is not done sustainably. In these circumstances, the notion of Green Chemistry has been identified as the efficient medium of synthesis of chemicals and procedures to eradicate the toxic production of harmful substances. Principles of Green Chemistry guide the scientist in their hunt towards chemical synthesis which requires the use of solvents. These solvents contaminate our air, water, land and surrounding due to its toxic properties. Even though sufficient precautions are taken for proper disposal of these solvents but it is difficult to be recycled. In order to preserve our future and coming generation from the adverse impacts associated with solvents it is very important to find alternative of this which will be easy to use, reusable and also eco-friendly. Solvents are used daily in various industrial processes as reaction medium, as diluters, and in separation procedures. As reaction medium, the role of solvent is to bring catalysts and reactants together and to release heat thus affecting activity and selectivity. The proper selection of the solvent considering its biological, physical and chemical properties is very necessary for product separation, environmental, safety handling and economic factors. Green solvents are the boon in this context. They are not only environmentally benign but also cost effective. The biggest challenge faced by the chemists is adaptation of methods and selection of solvents during chemical synthesis which will give negligible waste product and will remain human and nature friendly. During designing compounds for a particular reaction it is difficult to give assurance regarding the toxicity and biodegradability of the method. Chemists are still far away from predicting the various chemical and biological effects of the compounds on the back of the envelope. To achieve that point is formidable task but it will definitely act as inspiration for the coming generation of chemists. The green solvents are undoubtedly a far better approach to eliminate the negative impacts and aftermath of any chemical synthesis on the environment. Our study in this review covers an overview of green solvents, their role in safer chemical synthesis with reference to some of the important green solvents and their detail summarization.

Abstract:
Reaction–diffusion systems were first proposed by mathematician and computing forerunner Alan Turing in 1952. Originally intended as an explanation of plant phyllotaxis (the structure and arrangement of leaves in plants), reaction–diffusion now forms the basis of an area in biology which is as important as DNA research in the field of biological morphogenesis (Kauffman 1993). Reaction–diffusion systems were successfully utilised within the fields of computer animation and computer graphics to generate visually naturalistic patterning and textures such as animal furs (Turk 1991). More recently, reaction–diffusion systems have been applied to methods of half-tone printing, fingerprint enhancement, and have been proposed for use in sound synthesis (Sherstinsky 1994). The recent publication The Algorithmic Beauty of Seashells (Meinhardt 1995) uses various reaction–diffusion equations to explain patterned pigmentation markings on seashells. This article details an example of the application of reaction–diffusion systems to algorithmic composition within the field of computer music. The patterned data produced by reaction–diffusion systems is used to create a naturalistic soundscape in the piece cicada.

Applied art is the synthesis of many science and technologies, production process technology, and it has strong development in many countries all over the world. Applied art products are always present in all shapes and sizes in every urban space and have a strong interaction with the architectural and environmental landscape. A modern civilized city always needs harmonious alignment in the planning of these elements. In many urban areas in Vietnam, the interaction between architectural landscapes, urban environments, and urban beauties was not really taken seriously. It is obvious that the weaknesses in management are directly affecting the urban beauty. The overall picture of the city was not beautiful due to the absence of a head of the urban management. Discussing some solutions to improve the face of urban in Vietnam, it is necessary to clearly define the important role of the urban management levels; enhance the role of architects, artists, designers; build a civilized lifestyle, educate the sense of self-awareness and proper behavior of each urban resident.

Abstract:
Read theologically, Plato’s Symposium is an exercise in doxology: how Eros is to be praised. Pausanias observes that, since Eros is not one, a unitary praise will be inadequate. Proposing a focus on praxis, he classifies erotic praxes, and praises one, in a synthesis of contemporary convention, sophistic rationality, social responsibility and polytheistic fidelity. Against this Socrates praises erotic praxis as one of a plurality of desires mediating between mortals and an otherwise transcendent good. Desire which is specifically erotic involves a praxis of (pro)creation through attention to beauty. In this praxis mortals participate in immortality and the divine. Pausanias’ praise is seriously offered. However, lacking a participatory element, it delivers an underwhelming doxology, making Eros at best an instrument of a sophistically constructed virtue ethic to which his polytheism is ambiguously connected. It is the philosophical theology of Socrates, which, praising Eros as a mediator enabling participation in the divine realm, and offering itself as an analogous form of mediation, is able to be consummated liturgically.

Abstract:
Genome manipulation of cattle represents a powerful tool to increase the nutritional value and reduce allergenicity of cow milk for human consumption. This could be accomplished by improving the amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 and ω-6) and simultaneously abolishing β-lactoglobulin (BLG), a potent allergen for predisposed humans. The aim of this study was to introduce the sequence for a desaturase construct (mFAT-2, from C. elegans), which is able to catalyse the synthesis of ω-3 and ω-6 fatty acids, into the bovine genome by Sleeping Beauty (SB) transposition, and simultaneously knocking out the bovine β-lactoglubulin gene using CRISPR/Cas9 system. The sgRNA (AAGTGCCTCCTGCTTGCCC) targeted to BLG exon 1 was synthesised as an oligo linker and cloned into the px459-Cas9. The mutation activity of the designed sgRNA at the target locus was determined by T7 endonuclease assay I (T7EI) mismatch detection assay. Briefly, bovine fetal fibroblasts (BFF) were seeded at 0.5 × 105 cells per well of a 24-well plate in triplicate, when the cells reached 80% confluence (12–24 h), cultures were transfected with 1 μg of px459-Cas9::BLG plasmid co-expressing Cas9 and sgRNA using polyethylenimine reagent (PEI; 3 ng μL−1). After 3 days of puromycin selection, genomic DNA from transfected cells were extracted and the sequence of interest was PCR-amplified and digested by T7EI restriction enzyme. Digestion products showed a mutation efficiency at the target locus of 29%. Subsequently, we chemically cotransfected 0.5 × 105 BFF with 0.5 μg of knockout vector (px459-Cas9::BLG) and 0.5 μg of SB plasmids (carrying mFAT-2 cDNA for mammary gland-specific expression) using 3 ng μL−1 PEI in triplicate. At 48 h post-transfection, cell cultures were subjected to 3 days of puromycin and 21 days of neomycin selection. PCR analysis of antibiotic resistant colonies revealed the presence of mFAT-2 transgene in almost 70% of the analysed cells lines. Genotyping of BLG exon 1 was performed by direct sequencing of PCR amplicons using primers flanking the target site. Despite the appreciable gene mutation activity of the sgRNA sequence previously determined by T7EI assay (29%), none of the cell lines analysed showed modification in the BLG target locus. We speculate that the SB vector might have disrupted the activity of targeting vector. We are currently performing additional experiments to accomplish gene addition (mFAT) and gene knockout (BGL) in one step using these highly efficient and precise transgenic tools. Genetically modified cells will be used as nuclear donor to produce transgenic cows by somatic cells nuclear transfer. The financial support of CONICET, UNRC and FONCYT is gratefully acknowledged.

Abstract:
AbstractIn order to take Kant's third question seriously, practical theology should respond methodologically to the question: What may we hope? The hypothesis is argued that practical reason needs to be supplemented by aesthetic reason in order to deal with 'the absurd logic of hope' (Ricoeur). The latter can prevent a practical theological hermeneutics falling prey to a positivistic stance and an empirical model which makes little room for the spiritual dimension of the sublime and personal experiences of transcendence. While the theoretical reason posits 'the other' as object (analysis and objectification), aesthetic reason establishes between God and human beings a personal relationship of identification (synthesis and interconnectedness) which is sensitive to awe and surprise. Furthermore, it is argued that aesthetics is a vital component in liturgy. Art describes a dynamic relation between form and content, celebration and faith, and belief, experience and transcendence. These dynamics are established through imagination and creative hope. Applied to the problem of God-images, aesthetic reason should deal with the 'beauty of God' in terms of vulnerability (deformation) as depicted in the notion of a suffering God. To instil hope, the metaphor 'God as Partner for Life' is proposed.

Abstract:
In this paper 11 transgenic broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) lines containing a tomato antisense 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) oxidase gene from pTOM13 were evaluated. Changes in respiration, ethylene production and ACC oxidase activity were studied in mature flowers. Averaged across all ACC oxidase transgenic lines, there was an initial increase followed by a substantial decrease in ethylene production compared with the controls. Of the 11 transgenic lines, 10 lines showed a significant reduction in fethylene production relative to the controls from 50 h after harvest. Green Beauty flowers showed a significant reduction in respiration between the transgenics and control and demonstrated how ethylene levels could control the stable, or climacteric-like increase in respiration. ACC oxidase activity was higher in transgenic plants, consistent with the initially higher ethylene production. ACC oxidase activity did not, however, reflect the increase in ethylene production found after 50 h for the controls. These results suggest that two ethylene production systems may operate with only the second being inhibited by the antisense ACC oxidase used and that the later system was not detected by the ACC oxidase assay used. The results do show that post-harvest ethylene synthesis and therefore possibly broccoli senescence can be regulated by using an antisense ACC oxidase gene.

The article gives short biographical information about Krzhizhanovs- kiy as his popularity is growing. The author of short stories is famous for his omniscience talent. Researcher distinguishes such experimental artistic traits as creation of heroes, model of creation individual author’s myth about the world, synthesis of literature kind and sort. These traits are specificity of transitional type of thinking Krzhizhanovs- kiy’s. According to investigations of following scientists M.Epstein, M.Khrenov, Y.Lotman, V.Silantieva Krzhizhanovskiy was identified as prominent representative of transitional cultural period of XX-th century. Researcher demonstrates series of artistic traits which are similar for transitional cultural period of XX-th century and short stories by Krzhizhanovskiy: disintegration of holistic systems; variable and dynamic presentation about existence, world, beauty, true; model of chaosmos; active production new conceptions artistic model of existence and world, human and system of their relationship; eschatological tempers; plurality and multiplicity of worlds; actualization of mythopoetic art; intensification of playing experimental type. Experimental strategies of creating heroes are the next: reconsideration traditional cultural discourse, different meta- morphosis and transformations, using artistic principal of alienation (by V. Shklovsky), active functioning of body’s code, and artistic model of substitution for lifelike heroes. Krzhizhanovskiy experiments also with artistic coordinates of world: space and time (chronotope). Artistic world in short stories by Krzhizhanovskiy disintegrates, splits up and such situations are used for creating plurality and multiplicity of worlds and interworld, quasiworld after apocalypse. Synthesis of literature kind and sort is a bright trait of transitional type of thinking. Short stories by Krzhizhanovskiy show original variants of metric prose. Krzhizhanovskiy uses diversity of principals for rhythmization through all the levels of artistic text. Beside, the principals of musical rhythmization are widely used in short stories. Krzhizhanovskiy coded 23-d Appassionata by Beethoven in one of his short story. Abstract:
The goal of this research is to clarify the aesthetic concept of color perception from the perspective of phenomenological reasoning of Edmund Husserl. Currently, the vector of phenomenological research is formed in various zoned: from theological to naturalistic. Which of these zones allocate the structure of phenomenological analysis of the color is quite difficult. The coloristic region is constituted in proportion to consciousness, including the aesthetic consciousness. It is extremely difficult to encounter the phenomenon of color, as its evidence is fulfilled by the passion of contemplative consciousness with its aesthetic pathos, consciousness that pursues parallels between the givenness of transcendent color and aesthetic “continent of the givenness”. According to Husserl, it refers to aureole of consciousness, which is associated with essence of perception, realized in the mode of turning to the beauty of color. This article is firs to determine the approaches towards studying a complex phenomenological topic, such as the description of the coloristic orientation, eidetics of color experiences in Husserl's philosophy, and reveal the importance of its development for comprehension of aesthetic and artistic consciousness. The main conclusions are associated with the philosophical interpretation of the idea of color as included by phenomenology in the philosophical experience of astonishment, which translates into acquisition of essence of the “phenomenological color” overall; in aesthetics, it directly correlates with the emergence of its structures on the horizon of harmonic synthesis of the acts of perceptive realization in imagination, “pristinely giving perception” of color, with creation of the pattern of color experiences as cognitive emotions, reduced pure color perception, with understanding of how the art clarifies the very conditions of visibility of color, and how its artistic synthesis is carried out, within the structure of which  the correlation analysis can detect the analogue of the aprioristic empiricism – this determines in the national research fundamental characteristic of the truly Husserl’s synthesis and method.

Abstract:
The design and synthesis of functional coordination polymers is motivated not only by their structural beauty but also by their potential applications. ZnIIand CdIIcoordination polymers are promising candidates for producing photoactive materials because thesed10metal ions not only possess a variety of coordination numbers and geometries, but also exhibit luminescence properties when bound to functional ligands. It is difficult to predict the final structure of such polymers because the assembly process is influenced by many subtle factors. Bis(imidazol-1-yl)-substituted alkane/benzene molecules are good bridging ligands because their flexibility allows them to bend and rotate when they coordinate to metal centres. Two new ZnIIand CdIIcoordination polymers based on mixed ligands, namely, poly[[μ2-1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene-κ2N3:N3′]bis(μ3-2,2-dimethylbutanoato-κ3O1:O4:O4′)dizinc(II)], [Zn2(C6H8O4)2(C14H14N4)]n, and poly[[μ2-1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene-κ2N3:N3′]bis(μ3-2,2-dimethylbutanoato-κ5O1,O1′:O4,O4′:O4)dicadmium(II)], [Cd2(C6H8O4)2(C14H14N4)]n, have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. Both complexes crystallize in the monoclinic space groupC2/cwith similar unit-cell parameters and feature two-dimensional structures formed by the interconnection of S-shaped Zn(Cd)–2,2-dimethylsuccinate chains with 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene bridges. However, the CdIIand ZnIIcentres have different coordination numbers and the 2,2-dimethylsuccinate ligands display different coordination modes. Both complexes exhibit a blue photoluminescence in the solid state at room temperature.

Abstract:
The main aim of this article is the general presentation and description of the eastern liturgy by emphasizing some of its characteristics different from the Latin one. The subject of the analysis was the Slavonic version of Byzantine rite which is better known in Poland and neighboring countries. The worship plays the leading role in the life of Eastern Churches. The liturgy is closely connected with teaching of the Church and it is also the source of theology. The East has never known the separation of spirituality, theology and ecclesiology from liturgy. The article presents some essential information about the Eucharist (called in the east the Divine Liturgy), the liturgy of the hours (the Divine Office), liturgical year and shows some differences in the celebration of the sacraments in comparison with the Latin practice. More important features of the eastern worship are the epiphanic, doxological, dynamic, anamnetical and eschatological ones. What strikes you about Eastern worship from the sociological point of view is its intimate union with culture and history of the lo- cal, national Church. From an external point of view the eastern liturgy is a synthesis of the arts and demonstrates a particular beauty. The liturgical action is not just a ceremony. It is an object of contemplation, an awesome vision, full of mystery. It is our participation in the liturgy of heaven, the implementation of the Kingdom of God on Earth. Therefore, the actual purpose of the liturgy is our communing with God.

Abstract:
Vitamin C (VC) is a hydrophilic antioxidant that plays a vital role in the protection of health and is also an integral ingredient in beauty formulations due to its numerous distinct and necessary properties. However, its application in the area of cosmeceuticals still confronts huge challenges relating to its instability and low bioactivity. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent its degradation by utilizing microencapsulation techniques, many and various of which, entailing the use of liposomes, nanoemulsions, lipid particles, and layered double hydroxide, have already been introduced. Nevertheless, such techniques still have several disadvantages in terms of either their difficult preparation or toxicity to skin. Recently, aminoclay (AC), a synthetic organic-nanoclay comprising 3-aminopropyl-functionalized magnesium phyllosilicate, has been proposed as a promising candidate for encapsulation and delivery of active agents in cosmeceuticals. In the present work, a novel magnesium aminoclay/vitamin C (MgAC-VC) hybrid was successfully fabricated by a simple onepot synthesis method via the in situ loading of VC into MgAC. The resultant hybrid was found to highly improve the stability and controllable release of VC. Compared with free VC, the MgAC-VC hybrid exhibited significantly enhanced stability of VC under high temperature (60 °C) as well as slow and controllable release of VC from MgAC-VC hybrids over 24 h. Our results suggest that such MgAC-VC hybrids can potentially be utilized in cosmeceutical applications for delivery of VC and other antioxidants.

Abstract:
Understanding of the Stalinist Empire style allows finding an alternative to postmodernism architecture in the conditions of the current crisis of the Russian civilization. The aim of this work is to characterize the architectural style of the Western Siberian cities and show the general and particular character in its consecutive development. Theoretical prerequisites for this work lie in the fact that the general paradigm of Stalinist Empire style was formed during the proletarian cultural revolution, i.e. realization of the collectivism principle and associated creative remaking of the architectural heritage. Stalinist Empire style in the Western Siberia represents the economic regional analogue of such a collectivist architectural synthesis of traditions and innovations. The architectural genesis of the Stalinist Empire style is considered by means of the systems and sociogenetic approaches. The genetic approach to the Stalinist Empire style is used to describe three stages: genesis, differentiation and integration. This triad expresses the main tendencies in the development of the Stalinist Empire style in Western Siberia with a gradual approximation to the increasingly rigid type of the architectural environment. It is concluded that the Stalinist Empire style represents a polystylistic synthesis of traditions and innovations, such as neoclassicism and constructivism, order and extraorder forms, collectivism and statehood based on the conceptual continuity of the world, national and regional style directions. The internal and external forms of the Stalinist Empire style are functionalism, neoclassicism and art deco. The Stalinist Empire style is aesthetic, expressive and consecutive in all its analogues. It is characterized by a clearly defined trend to beauty, dynamic stability and architectural organization. This relates also to the Western Siberian variant that achieves a stronger artistic effect in the paper architecture. The pedagogical socially-organizational function of the Stalinist Empire style is upbringing of new personality. The specific character of the Stalinist Empire style in Western Siberia is greater combination, rigidity and structuredness of the architectural environment as a result of negative system selection from unfavorable conditions. The Stalinist Empire style of metropolitan is a discrete system, while that of Western Siberia is a rigid system.

The synthesis, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, and X-ray structures are described for three dialkoxy ethynylnitrobenzenes that differ only in the length of the alkoxy chain, namely 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipropoxybenzene, C14H17NO4, 1,2-dibutoxy-4-ethynyl-5-nitrobenzene, C16H21NO4, and 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipentoxybenzene, C18H25NO4. Despite the subtle changes in molecular structure, the crystal structures of the three compounds display great diversity. Thus, 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipropoxybenzene crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system in the space group R{\overline 3}, with Z = 18, 1,2-dibutoxy-4-ethynyl-5-nitrobenzene crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system in the space group P21/c, with Z = 4, and 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipentoxybenzene crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system in the space group P{\overline 1}, with Z = 2. The crystal structure of 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipropoxybenzene is dominated by planar hexamers formed by a bifurcated alkoxy sp-C—H...O,O′ interaction, while the structure of the dibutoxy analogue is dominated by planar ribbons of molecules linked by a similar bifurcated alkoxy sp-C—H...O,O′ interaction. In contrast, the dipentoxy analogue forms ribbons of molecules alternately connected by a self-complementary sp-C—H...O2N interaction and a self-complementary sp 2-C—H...O2N interaction. Disordered solvent was included in the crystals of 1-ethynyl-2-nitro-4,5-dipropoxybenzene and its contribution was removed during refinement.

Abstract:
The article explores the development of Russian culture and education symbolism at the end of ХІХ in a question about Filioque. The prominent Russian thinker V. Solovyov considered that the unity of spirituality of Christian ideal faith was carried out in the unity of catholic and orthodox Christian churches. He doubted the question of division of Character of Vera perception. V. Solovyov notified the ideal of iconographic art, which was fundamental conception of development of Russian artistic culture and education. Semantic Christian character-kernel is an interpretation of our Hail Mary for us. The ideal of this character is incarnated in the divine beginning through the free exploit of man, adding the faith in Godman and God-flesh (Hail Mary) to the faith in God. This ideal was announced by F. Dostoevsky. The trinity of Christian ideal must have become the background for conscious spiritual development of Russia and all humanity. Essence of beauty symbolism is perceived in the actual available phenomena - nature and art. The conception of Sofia - Wisdoms of God character influenced the development of the Russian artistic culture and modern education. The character overflows in concepts: reasonable essence, Divine Bosom, Eternal femininity, Basis, law of life, reason, connection of God and created World. The character of Sofia is oriented to the Russian culture and education development, as a future and final phenomenon of Deity. As a founder of Russian Christian philosophy V. Solovyov defined subsequent motion of symbolism of Christian ideal in the synthesis of Orthodox, revivalist and comparative trends. We notice positive motion in Russian modern artistic education.

Abstract:
Cynoglossus semilaevis shell is a by-product of the Cynoglossus semilaevis, a species of fish mainly distributed along the west coast of Korea. As its skin is very tough and difficult to process, it is not useful as food. For this reason, most of it is discarded except for a small amount that is used as feed, which results in environmental pollution. Considering this, there is a need for research on the development of functional materials using Cynoglossus semilaevis shell. This study focused on the mechanism of in vitro expression function of Cynoglossus semilaevis shell extract (CSE) for skin tissue in human dermal fibroblasts that induced or did not induce wrinkles by UV-B irradiation and aims to use it as a functional material for human skin beauty or wrinkle improvement through extraction and purification. According to the ELISA results using human dermal fibroblast cells, CSE reduced MMP-1 and elastase activity by up to 21.89% and 12.04%, respectively, in a concentration-dependent manner, and increased PIP synthesis by up to 62.24% in a concentration-dependent manner. The RT-PCR test results using mRNA showed the MMP-1, 2, and 3 expression levels were suppressed in the CSE-treated group compared to the UVB-induced group and caused a concentration-dependent increase in TIMP-1 in the CSE-treat group. These results suggest that CSE can maintain and improve skin tissue conditions through MMP/TIMP balancing in human dermal fibroblast cell lines and indicate its potential as a functional material for improving skin diseases and suppressing photo-aging.

Abstract:
Metaphors of nature are very important in the works of Ukrainian poets M. Rylskyi and L. Kostenko. Metaphors of nature are a means of expressing key artistic ideas and a marker of individual style, and an indicator of the dynamics of figurative language. For M. Rylskyi and L. Kostenko, nature is a source of inspiration and an object of poetic image. Through the metaphorization of the concepts of nature, the authors realize a wide range of ideas about the eternal problems of mankind. Most often metaphorical expression in the poetic texts of M. Rylskyi and L. Kostenko have traditional for the lyrics images of the seasons (autumn, spring, summer, winter), flora (forest, individual trees (willow, oak), atmospheric phenomena, rain, snow, fog, wind), parts of the day (evening), reservoirs (river). A separate subject of metaphorization is nature, the world as a whole. Most of these metaphors profile the beauty and perfection of nature, but often have the semantics of time, memory, recollection, will, freedom. Metaphors of nature in the poetic texts of M. Rylskyi and L. Kostenko are characterized by a synthesis of intellectualism and emotionality. In the poetic texts of artists, they contribute to the realization of the author’s intentions and at the same time preserve the connection with tradition and show signs of a particular artistic style (romanticism, classicism, realism). Metaphors of nature evolve with the development of language creativity of artists, which is manifested in the associative and semantic-grammatical complication of the structure and expansion of the functions of these metaphors.

Abstract:
The Panax notoginseng (P. notoginseng) stem leaf is rich in flavonoids. However, because of a lack of research on the flavonoid extraction process and functional development of P. notoginseng stem leaf, these parts are discarded as agricultural wastes. Therefore, in this study, we intend to optimize the extraction process and develop the skin-whitening functions of P. notoginseng stem leaf extracts. The extraction process of the stem and leaf of P. notoginseng flavonoid (SLPF) is optimized based on the Box–Behnken design (BBD) and the response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum extraction conditions of the SLPF are as follows: the extraction time, the ethanol concentration, the sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) content and the liquid material ratio (v/w, which are 52 min, 48.7%, 1.9%, and 20:1, respectively. Under the optimal extraction conditions, the average total SLPF content is 2.10%. The antioxidant activity and anti-deposition of melanin of mouse B16 cells of P. notoginseng stem leaf extracts are studied. The results indicate that the EC50 values of reducing activity, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging activities, the superoxide anion removal ability, and the 2,2-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS) free radical removal ability are 7.212, 2.893, 2.949, and 0.855 mg/mL, respectively. The extracts IC50 values of the tyrosinase and melanin synthesis are 0.045 and 0.046 mg/mL, respectively. Therefore, the optimal processing technology for the SLPF obtained in this study not only increases its utilization rate, but also decreases material costs. The extracts from the P. notoginseng stem leaf may be developed as food or beauty products.

Abstract:
Abstract Proteasome inhibitors as bortezomib have been included in standard treatment regimens in several hematological malignancies, especially multiple myeloma. As resistance mechanisms depending on MDR1 expression have not been evaluated in detail for proteasome-inhibitors it was the aim of our study to investigate resistance of cells to Bortezomib and MLN-273 conferred by MDR1. To address that question K562Dox cells have been long-term cultured in low concentrated doxorubicin to obtain MDR1 overexpression. These cells were stably transfected with a Sleeping-Beauty vector system carrying an siRNA targeting the mRNA of PgP. With that approach, PgP was reduced to 10% compared to the wild-type cell line. PgP-positive and PgP-negative cells were exposed to bortezomib and MLN-273 and proliferation measured was in a 3H-Thymidine incorporation assay. This showed a dose-dependent reduction of DNA-synthesis in cells exposed to Bortezomib, regardless of PgP-expression. In contrast, MLN-273 showed a PgP-dependency by inhibiting cells expressing PgP (K562Dox: EC 50 of 5,6 ng/ml and vector control cells K562Dox-Co: EC 50 of 29 ng/ml) less than MDR1-knock-down cells (K562Dox-siMDR1: EC50 of 0.3 ng/ml). In MDR1 positive cells this growth inhibition was reveresed by addition of verapamil, a MDR1 blocking substance (K562Dox: EC50 of 2.4 ng/ml and K562Dox-Co: EC50 of 2.8 ng/ml). This growth inhibitory effect was due to apoptosis induction, which has been shown by staining for Annexin V and propidium iodide. The direct effect of MDR1 on proteasome activity was measured by western blotting IkBα, a substrate of the proteasome, which was still present in MLN-273 treated MDR1-negative cells but not in MDR1-positive cells incubated with MLN-273. These results show that MLN-273 highly likely is a substrate for MDR1, which may gain clinical significance in treating hematological malignancies in the future.

Abstract:
Introduction. In our days, several approaches reported the use of natural compounds in medical applications. Among them, pectin and allantoin are nontoxic, biocompatible, and biodegradable; however, its use for possible wound healing therapeutics is still limited. Pectin and allantoin have been applied in pharmaceutical industry and beauty cosmetic and could be also applied as scaffolds for tissue regeneration, wound healing, and so on. The aim of this study was to combine by the first time two natural ingredients to develop a new biomaterial to treat skin injuries in a rat model. Methods. For the hydrogel development, new synthesis parameters were established for the obtaining of the film such as temperature, mixing velocity and time, and drying temperatures as well. To enrich the film, the allantoin concentrations were set at 90 wt% and 100 wt% of pectin used. By in vivo assay, films were tested in wound healing in female Wistar rats, 190 ± 10 g in weight and 2 months aged. Results. The obtained films comprise 2 well-differentiated layers, one layer rich in allantoin, which will be the regenerative layer, and one rich in pectin, which will work as an antimicrobial and protective layer to the wound. These were characterized by swelling kinetics, Fourier transform of the infrared spectrum of absorption (FTIR) spectroscopy, and contact angle. The morphology and topography were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). In vivo assay showed remarkable reduce in a time period in a wound healing process when the film was used. The results show that the use of PA (Pectin-Allantoin) hydrogel reduces the total healing time by 25% approximately. Conclusions. Pectin-Allantoin (PA) film has potential use in medical applications as wound healing material promoting healthy tissue renewal.

Abstract:
Introduction. In this article, we investigate the reasons for the “disappearance” of man in the context of his rejection of God, history, culture, nature. We are interested in a two-fold approach to understanding death: a) all perishable and imitative activity is a signal of the dying of both consciousness and a person; b) a material, fractional and secular person cannot construct Beauty, Truth, Eternity. Methods. The interdisciplinary approach showed a kink in a person from different angles. The hermeneutic approach helped to reveal the inner content of the concept of “death”. The systems approach showed the breadth of the studied object of death, affecting all institutional structures and spheres of life. The structural-functional method helped to present the phenomenon of death in a detailed manifestation both in ontogeny and phylogeny. The value-institutional analysis helped to realize the stability of the social order through the fixation of basic values in the mind. General scientific methods of cognition were used: induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, the unity of the logical and the historical, the ascent from the concrete to the abstract. Results. If a person does not have transcendences, then the focus of understanding narrows, and the spiritual and moral parameters are replaced by consumerist ones. If a person defends only the immanence of being, then in a lonely and lonely state, his remoteness from the Primary Source means his own sentence to contentment with the ultimate “nothing”. Charles Tylor, through the concept of a “closed” or “horizontal” world, defines the nonsense of a person who is inside a transcendental structure. Discussion and Conclusion. The theme of death has shown the “cross-cutting nature” of the problem of domination/dependence on human death throughout the history of philosophy.

Abstract:
Russia is attractive to foreign citizens not only for its originality which lies in the beauty of people and nature or in the presence of unique attractions. They are also attracted by the possibility of doing work and business. However, not all foreign citizens are law-abiding. Some of their representatives are distinguished by illegal behavior. It happens that noncitizens of Russia commit crimes. Purpose of the research: to consider the state, structure and dynamics of crimes of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation; to work out the categories of crimes for which they are convicted; to give information about representatives of foreign countries dominating places of imprisonment; to assess the nature of the repetition of crimes committed in Russia by foreign immigrants; to reveal their age range and give information about the commission of repeated crimes in Russia by foreigners who have served their sentences in domestic correction facilities. Methods: the work based on a systematic approach widely uses general scientific and specific scientific methods. General scientific methods, such as logical, structural-functional, analysis and synthesis methods, made it possible to identify the features of the foreigners’ recidivism risk in Russia. Modern criminological concepts based on such specific scientific methods as the method of interpretation and the methods of interpreting documents have successfully fostered the development of the research problem. Main results: the research made it possible to assess the nature of “foreign crime” in the Russian Federation and the recidivism rate of foreign immigrants. Novelty: the research shows the contingent of foreign citizens serving sentences in Russian correction facilities and differentiated by categories of crimes; it also presents their criminological features, reveals the post-penitentiary recidivism of foreign immigrants, it gives a comparative assessment of foreigners’ repeated crimes in Russia and at home.
