A quasi-static stiffness is observed for slow loading, with a higher stiffness related to rapid, cyclic loading (dynamic stiffness). The majority of the assembly (96.8%) is scaffolded into 4 chromosomal pseudomolecules with the X sex chromosome assembled. The main aim of the study was good seed setting and it is done by bee pollination which improves the yield and quality of crops. The escape responses exhibited by pea aphids were examined at three different temperatures, 15, 20, and 25 °C, using two different predators: syrphid larvae and coccinellid beetles. Abstract This article presents a full edition, with translation and detailed commentary, of SyrHT 1 and SyrHT 388, the only two Syriac medical fragments found in Turfan. Based on a re-examination of the original text, this article shows that the Turfan fragments have parallels in Galen’s De compositione medicamentorum secundum locos and contain elements of Hippocratic recipes as well. This adds further evidence that Syriac Christians had brought Hellenistic medical lore to Turfan at an early date.
